Some of the best service I have ever experienced at a hotel. A special mention goes to Zita at reception: her warmth, professionalism and attentiveness are a real asset to the hotel and make the stay even more memorable. The service throughout was truly excellent, the rooms were lovely and the food was delicious. My only regret is that I stayed for just one night!

Amazing hotel and service from most people that worked there. Front desk weren't always great but all the other staff were exceptional! The activities were great! And the kids club were great! The pool was good but couldn't get a seat, there is a clear sign that says they don't allow people holding the sun loungers - however they have noone enforcing it, therefore everyone still did. The hotels car park, was shared with the supermarkets - there was quite often full and you couldn't get in! Perfect location!
It’s was a really good hotel and it wasn’t to big or to small so you could find places quickly and the rooms were actually big for a hotel room there was 2 bedrooms a kitchen a bathroom and a balcony which is really good. The pools are really nice there’s a nice outdoor pool there’s a sauna and a steam room for free, activities and shows (usually at evening). In my opinion the hotel was placed in a perfect spot like its a good size there’s a beach right next to it and across the street or below you there’s a shop called pingo doce which is really convenient and there’s usually taxis outside the hotel. The food is was really good the buffet wasn’t loud it was calm and it had a nice selection of food and drink and there’s a outdoor bar and were you can help yourself to drink if it isn’t alcoholic and the staff is really kind, but 1 downside they could make the pool a bit deeper but it was still very nice. In my opinion a 10/10 hotel to stay at if you’re visiting Calheta
Stayed at this hotel over Easter for 2weeks as a family of 3. It is genuinely top place. Great location, excellent facilities, fantastic food and bar. Friendly, polite and very efficient staff. For those who need few details: located right on the beach, with that superior feel when one can enjoy the privacy of a boutique hotel but just meters from a very popular public place. About an hour from the Airport, but to secure the best weather in Madeira - well worth the ride. Facilities, apart from the standard set one can expect from a good hotel: sauna, steam room, small heated indoor pool, access to amazing A la carte restaurant(booking is needed though). Massive plus is convenient parking for your (perhaps rented) car. The reception staff also helped with car rental for us. Reasonably priced Spa. Food has great variety and is themed by night (Portuguese, Brazilian, Madeiran, Oriental, Italian, Mexican+ Chefs night ) but as a rule, everyday and every meal-selections of fish, meat, very fresh salads, pasta, rice are available, We are not vegetarians but I feel that would not be a problem here. In two weeks we never got bored. Deserts and fruits are heavenly. Wines(including sparkling) are of a very decent quality, so are the stronger choices. Barmen do not cut corners with cocktails- very meticulous and complete. If you order Negroni- you get full on Negroni, with the right glass, right amount, right recipe, right garnishing. Coffees are top notch: very good beans, not too acidic if it's your thing. The tea station is the most impressive I have ever seen in a hotel of such category. Service is immaculate throughout restaurants and bars. The buffet area is kept clean, topped up, fresh and appetising. Rooms are comfortable, warm and cosy(wooden floors which we prefer). Beds and beddings are very good. Room cleaning is efficient and flexible. Toiletries are on a better side too. All in all, we have had a great stay here. Despite capricious weather this time of the year, every day was enjoyed and the hotel served either as a base from which we explored the island or an extremely comfortable place to spend the day in. Highly recommend and we hope to be back in the future.
Really enjoyed staying in this hotel. It is medium sized which we preferred. Big enough to have all required facilities but not so big as to be impersonal. We hired a car for the time we were there and found it necessary if you want to get a flavour of the island. You can pay for parking at reception and park in the multi-storey car park opposite. Just be aware that it is quite tight to negotiate. Food was a decent quality and there should be something for all tastes. There is a fine dining option which you can book for free which is a more pleasant experience than the standard self serve option, but it will take longer to eat so may not be suitable for all. You can also commute lunch to a packed version if you are going out for the day. There seemed to be sufficient activities for most people to keep them entertained, even if the singers were sometimes not top quality. Embrace it all as part of the experience.
