The wifi is not functional. There’s no iron, no hairdryer, no conditioner, very little amenities for a “4 star” hotel, more like 2 stars. Breakfast below mediocre. No active heating/air-conditioner in the room. Extremely humid rooms. A new hotel is being built next to the hotel and construction work begins at 6:30am.
Was originally booked at another hotel but they had water issues and told me I was getting “upgraded” to this hotel. The location is was worse than the original, out of the way of the main strip. The wifi is not functional from room 308. There’s no iron, no hairdryer, no conditioner, very little amenities for a so-called “4 star” hotel. Breakfast ends too early. To top it off, we were locked out of the hotel at night because no one informed us the front door will be locked and we had to call the police to help get us in. Horrible experience all around.
You can't go wrong with location in this small town. After doing the Salkantay hike. This place was heaven. Great showers, great big comfortable beds, Netflix, prime etc. on the tv. Massive buffet breakfast in the morning. Such a great place to come let the body reset after 4-5 days of long hikes.
Thank good for this place. We started our journey in a hell hole, left and found this amazing place, the ladies at the front desk had the best attitude and personality. The breakfast was delicious, but watch out for the coffee, it's black as mud and left a layer of grounds in my cup... I added water for myself and it was fine, my husband couldn't drink it though.
DO NOT STAY HERE. We were booked here by the travel agency that planned our Machu Pichu itinerary. We arrived and the showers were cold, the place smelled like mold and when we went to grab breakfast in the morning there was no food. The only thing this place did eight was provide a bed to sleep in.They have a lot to improve before they can compete with other accommodations in the area. A hostel would have been better.
