This picturesque watermill is located in the romantic Jekerkwartier. It is a great place to make pictures, right besides the wheel of this watermill.
It's a striking 13th century gate with a stately facade and 2 towers in a former city wall.
The church is believed to have been built on the grave of Saint Servatius and is considered to be the oldest surviving church in the Netherlands.
In the heart of the city you will find the beautiful Vrijthof. Around the Vrijthof are many historic buildings that remind us of the time when Maastricht was a religious center and a military fortress. This romantic and historic square is the largest square in Maastricht.
The town hall is located in the middle of the Markt in the center of Maastricht and has a rich, largely eighteenth-century interior.
The market square is full of cozy cafes and restaurants. It has many terraces and is near all the main shopping streets.
Great adventure and differing puzzle difficulties! Highly recommend. The storyline and the puzzles with the riddles felt a bit disconnected at times though, you could just ignore the plot and make the puzzles like that. Overall highly recommend, we had 2 teams with 5 people each and it was just the right amount truly.
We did the city escape Maastricht as a team event with 4 groups of colleagues that competed with each other. We explored the city following clues and solving puzzles along the way. We had a ton of fun and would definitely recommend this to others. Point of improvement is to have the game in English as it currently is only available in Dutch and German.
A great tour. The puzzles were very different, which offered a nice variety. In the end, we were a bit confused, but we figured it out.
A fun way to experience a city you think you know. You look at your surroundings in a different way and see things and learn things that you hadn't noticed before.
Nice to discover the city this way. I recommend. I have already done this in Brussels with beer tasting via Hoppy-Tours.
We came to beautiful places but we quickly found the assignments a bit monotonous.. We also always got a message that we could not load it on the mobile, so we had to work with 1 mobile each time..
We did the Outside escape in Maastricht today. What an amazing experience this was. We've come to places we haven't been before. The search itself was also very nice. We will definitely do this again in another place.
It's a lot of fun. You can see corners of masstricht that you probably wouldn't visit. The end of the game could have been a little different. All of us have been diligent in our guesswork.
It is nice to learn / discover the city in which you are, in addition to the terraces. We had been to Maastricht many times before but never actually done such a city trip. We've seen a lot of things we would never have gone to like this.
Super nice getaway to get to know the city better. You don't get to the standard places and the assignments make you look at the buildings differently.
We have been coming to Maastricht for years but thanks to this game we have discovered the coolest places and hidden gems. Highly recommended! We are already looking forward to doing other cities.
The outside escape in Maastricht was very cool. A grandiose route has been determined, so you can see so much more of beautiful Maastricht than when you explore yourself. Very nice story and nice assignments. The assignments could have been a bit more difficult, but in general an escape that I will highly recommend during a visit to Maastricht.

At the start it was equally complicated how everything worked. But after a number of assignments, it was clear. It is an ideal way to get to know a city and get to places that yes as an ordinary tourist would not go. Very nice experience! We certainly repeat this in other cities.
It’s a very fun playful way to discover the city. The duration is just right and in between you have enough time to have a drink.
It was a nice route and we have been to places where we were not before. Nice questions/assignments. You can take all day if you want. (If you do all the assignments and go shopping or sit on a terrace) Too bad the Vrijthof was cordoned off.

What a fun way to visit a city this was again. You get to places you wouldn't otherwise go so fast. Previously done in Apeldoorn with children, this time with adults in Maastricht. Highly recommended.
Highly recommended to get to know Maastricht in this way. Nice story and interesting assignments. We thought we knew Maastricht a bit anyway, but went to places we didn't know existed. Between nicked by nice terrace and nice lunch in a restaurant unknown to us. Nice that we could stop where we wanted in between , and then easily pick up the route again . We will definitely do another trip in another city.
I went with my sister. We used to work as a city guide for the city of Maastricht. But with this super fun Outside Escape experience, we got to know a completely different Maastricht. We really enjoyed it.
Enjoyed a pleasant walk through Maastricht, with fun assignments, a real outdoor escape that takes you to nice places and streets. We walked it with 8 people, it went well. Worth repeating.
We saw special places in Maastricht, the old city wall for example. Beautiful. The puzzles were well thought out and the hints were helpful. It's wonderful to be able to grab a lunch during the tour and enjoy it without time pressure. Recommended!
Very fun way to explore a city. They were fun puzzles of a good level and we liked that you can take breaks in between.
Nice city escape. Easy to walk, even if you have difficulty walking. Nice combination of a treasure hunt and at the same time getting to know the center without visiting the busy shopping streets.
We play a city game more often. This time it was Maastricht's turn. It is a fun way to explore a city based on all kinds of assignments. The city game in Maastricht was also well put together. We found the assignments a bit too easy (we are used to a bit more challenge from other city games from Outside Escape). Tip: pen and paper.
Very fun city escape from Outside Escape! Very fun and challenging questions and assignments. We were in Maastricht for a company outing and played in teams. It was sometimes really brain-bending and the qualities of each individual team member came in handy. The competition between the teams soon broke out, especially when we met each other :) Beautiful route, you see a lot of Maastricht during the game, known and unknown places. Highly recommended. We had a very nice day and will definitely discover a city this way again!
A super fun way to take an exciting city walk with our children, solve a mystery and immediately learn some of the history of Maastricht! was a lot of fun! We will definitely do this again on our next city trip!

Extremely nice walk. Nice way to explore the city even for people from the neighborhood. You also go to the slightly lesser-known places. Challenging riddles where you sometimes really have to look and think. I will definitely recommend this to everyone and do it myself in other cities. Also behind the scenes good Service from the gentlemen when something does not quite work with the app or the pairing code. TOP!
