We had a fantastic experience at Van Oys; it really feels like a 5-star treatment, drinks on arrival, cool towels, we got a room upgrade without requesting, a personal message and small gift for our anniversary, excellent service throughout our stay, great food at the wine bar (we didn’t book any of the restaurants), fab wine selection & recommendations from barman/somelier, amazing spa experience with massage, magnesium float (they squeezed us in for both although we didn’t book in advance) and overall attentiveness at all touchpoints in the venue; would absolutely recommend and will return for sure.

Pleasant restaurant with friendly and welcoming service. The dishes were good overall, but we were not convinced by the value for money, as the prices felt too high. The service was also quite long: we arrived at 7:15 PM and left around 10:45 PM for a three-course dinner. Overall, it was a decent experience, but the pacing of the service and the value for money could be improved.
Everything was perfect at the hotel. The staff are truly amazing and very helpful overall. However, we had a bad experience at the MAES restaurant.
The only female staff member working there tonight kept asking me to repeat my order multiple times. I wanted to order fish as a starter, and she told me it wasn’t vegetarian—though at no point did I mention that I was vegetarian. I also had to repeat the name of the wine serval times .
Finally, she didn’t smile at all. When we asked for the bill, she didn’t say a word and simply placed it on the table. It’s disappointing to pay more than €100 per person and experience such poor service.
That said, all the other staff were extremely friendly and professional.
Incredible place and a must if you are in the Maastricht area. The design of the hotel was beautiful and the staff were friendly and kind. We loved our stay and can't wait to visit again!

The rooms were beautifully comfortable, and every time we returned, the housekeeping team had made the space feel fresh, warm, and genuinely welcoming.
The guest services staff are truly phenomenal—attentive, professional, and always ready to help with a smile. Breakfast and every meal we enjoyed were outstanding, clearly prepared with care and quality in mind. The wine bar is a fantastic addition, offering a well-curated selection that caters to every taste.
The new spa is an absolute highlight: impeccably equipped, serene, and offering an impressive range of treatments that make it easy to fully unwind.
What truly elevated our stay, however, were the incredible people. Sven and Esther from food and beverage went above and beyond with their kindness and attentiveness. Charlotte at reception was exceptionally accommodating and ensured every detail of our stay was seamless. Maureen in the spa is a true gem—her warmth, expertise, and dedication made sure we left feeling completely relaxed and restored.
A special mention as well to all of the team out front—every interaction was warm and cheerful, and it was genuinely a pleasure to walk through the door each time they were there.
An outstanding experience from start to finish. We can’t wait to return.
