Townhouse Maastricht & Spa

Great location 2 minutes from the train/but station. Excellent staff, with great restaurant suggestions, and local sites to visit. Great Libby & breakfast. The room was smallish, but functional.

Beautiful hotel, clean and modern. Spacious room, super quiet area despite being next to the train station and very convenient if you travel by train. Breakfast was very complete and, additionally, they have free soup, fruits, teas and coffees all day for all guests. Which shows how welcoming they are.

Clearly overpriced and unpleasant stay. We’ve been at the hotel in the best room they should have, the “Extra Large Double Room” during a Congress in town for which they charged almost 2x the usual price for the room (more than 380€/night when usual price is approx 250€/night for the same room). They were not at all prepared. They let us wait one hour after the assured check-in time to prepare the room, to finally find a room just left behind from someone else. Had to wait again one hour asking us to roam in town while waiting. The windows of the room were broken, with cold wind and rain pouring inside (preventing also the heating from working), problem that was solved only the day after after intervention of a very friendly handyman. No ironing boards were available until the last day of our stay. No mention anywhere (desk or signs)of the spa, that apparently is an extra service affiliated with the hotel.

We had an amazing stay at Townhouse Hotel Maastricht! A cute, cozy but luxury vibe next to the station of Maastricht and on a 5/10 min. walk from the city centre in a lovely neighborhood. We loved the lobby and the restaurant/bar where also the breakfast is served (which is absolutely worth it). The staff is very friendly and always available. The room we stayed in could use a little update (the television was glitching and is not a Smart TV which is think is a must in this time, and for a 4 star hotel the bathrooms are a bit dated) but, having said that, the rooms are spacious, clean, warm and cozy and have a modern/design vibe. Next to that we want to thank the hotel and reservation department for the solution they came up with for a mistake with the booking (the booking was cancelled while we didn't cancel the room and there was a problem with the refund). They offered us a free breakfast, which like I said before is definitely something to consider when booking this hotel. Fresh bread, healthy food but also some lovely pastries and sweet treats, options for everybody and constantly refilled. There is free coffee, tea, soup and some baked goods. The money was refunded to us with some difficulties because of an unusual situation but the contact was very pleasant even though it took some time. Mistakes are human and they solved it perfectly. Would definitely rebook when going back to the lovely city of Maastricht which is worth the visit in itself. Thank you!
