Location is great and amenities as well. The problem is the cleaning is done suboptimal especially considering the high price of the hotel. You would 100% expect something different. At this point I really don’t care about the bears sry, I want my room and towels and everything to be clean if I’m paying such a high price

I had a wonderful stay at The Social Hub Maastricht and would highly recommend it, especially to people who work online while travelling. It is a spacious, modern, and comfortable place with everything you need in one location: a well-equipped gym, coworking areas, lively social spaces, and quieter corners where you can focus, check emails, or take work calls. The entire place was clean and well maintained, and my room was very comfortable. The team was genuinely friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help with recommendations. The location is another big advantage. The old town, restaurants, cafés, and shops are all nearby, while beautiful nature is also easily accessible. You can rent a bicycle and ride along the river, enjoy a picnic, and even spot wild horses. It’s a great choice whether you’re working remotely, travelling alone, or simply looking for a relaxing weekend in Maastricht. I felt very welcome here and would happily stay again!
No privacy whatsoever, stayed here as a student and had staff opening my door with their own keys and walking in without knocking multiple times, including instances when i was changing or even sleeping. I’ve been woken up by the door opening, again, without knocking. I’m horrified to even imagine if that’s ever happened without me waking up, especially since this has mostly been an issue with male staff. The rooms don’t really get cleaned that well, the bedsheets have stains on them and i’m way too scared to look at the mattress again.
Great location, very nice room with a comfortable bed and all needed amenities. Gym is small but with the essentials and the most useful thing was the access to laundry :)
I enjoyed my 3 night stay with my partner. We arrived on New Years day. There was a fair bit of snow and my partner was unwell one day so having the option to stay inside and be able to use some communal spaces was much appreciated. First the good points: the staff were always warm & friendly and went out of their way to help us out on several occasions (a towel for the gym, heating up my girlfriend's lunch, entering breakfast a few mins early so we could catch a train). Our room was large and the bed was excellent - firm but not hard. There's lots of seating on the ground floor with table tennis, pool (€1 to play) and table football (also €1). The gym is well equipped and there's a wide selection at breakfast. However, there's various niggles in the details: the big uncut loaf at breakfast was slightly stale every day, I couldn't get the bikes in the gym to work despite creating a technogym account, there are no towels or water in the gym, the floor of the gym is concrete so the free weights roll away and can't be dropped after lifting. I paid a little extra for a room with a kitchette (617) but there was no cutlery, crockery or pans. Check-in was pretty chaotic with multiple people trying to check-in just before 3pm or at 3pm and their rooms weren't ready. We tried to check-in at 2.50pm and it was ready by 3.10pm.
