We had a lovely stay during Christmas. The apartment is very comfortable for a family with 2 kids. Location is great for the city restaurants and attractions. Breakfast was excellent. Staff were very friendly. Parking was available, comfortable and reasonably priced.
We booked a 4 day stay in a comfort room with jacuzzi and rainshower. The room itself was nice and immaculate. The personell friendly and very service minded. Very close to everything with the peace and quiet of a suburban hotel. We will certainly come here again and can recommend this to anyone thinking about it. Special note : the breakfast is fantastic, if you can think it they have it.
Great location right in the centre of Valkenberg. There is parking for about 15 cars so you can leave the car and explore on foot. Very friendly atmosphere and helpful staff , breakfast was a standard European offering and again very nice staff in the breakfast area. The owners were always friendly and great to have a chat with. Would recommend this hotel for a weekend stay
Hotel has a great location and lovely breakfast, however there were 2 problems that were problematic. When we arrived at breakfast at 9.15am almost everything was gone - no more freshly baked bread, no croissants bacon eggs or pancaces and nothing was restocked except they added 4 croissants after we complained (which left other customers upset as these were gone in a heartbeat). Second issue was mold in the otherwise nice room - see photo.
Is it a real 4-star hotel? Not sure! We booked a superior room with a spa bath. We entered the room and it was not clean. The toilet and the bath was full of hair 🤢. Then they changed the room for us. Second room was also not clean! We were too tired and didn’t complain! Figuring out the cleaning standard is pretty low in this hotel! The hotel doesn’t provide slippers and provides just one shampoo and body wash which is not enough for two people! The next morning while we’re having our breakfast, the staff started cleaning the table next to us pretty aggressive! The orange juice was not fresh, couldn’t drink it!! After, while getting ready to check out (we still had 10 minutes) a staff knocks our door!! We chose this hotel and paid a pretty high rate and didn’t receive a good service which is disappointing!
