Like my sister said , this tour made our trip to Egypt. Seeing Tutankhamen Mummy , where they buried him was priceless but the best was our tour guide and unfortunately I don’t remember his name 😞

Itinerary
The tomb of Ramesses III, designated as KV 11, is a complex system in the Valley of the Kings. It has been known since antiquity, the wonderful decorations include colourful painted sunken reliefs featuring the traditional ritual texts (Litany of Ra, Book of Gates etc) and Ramses before the gods. Unusual here are the secular scenes, in the small side rooms of the entrance corridor, showing foreign tributes, such as highly detailed pottery imported from the Aegean, the royal armoury, boats and, in the last of these side chambers, the blind harpists that gave the tomb one of its alternative names: ‘Tomb of the Harpers’
In the morning you will be picked up from your hotel in central Luxor or harbor by an air-conditioned vehicle for a full guided trip of about 4 hours. First you will be transported to the Necropolis of Thebes, the Valley of the Kings on the West Bank of Luxor. This ancient necropolis is a must-see for Luxor travelers. There you visit four royal tombs, including the Tomb of Ramses, the Tomb of Horemheb, the Tomb of Merenptah .Valley of the Kings on the West Bank of Luxor.
In Egyptian mythology, Ptah is the demiurge of Memphis, god of craftsmen and architects. In the or simply in its falcon form of the new deity, began to be placed in tombs to accompany and protect the dead on their journey to the West of Luxor .Tomb 8, which is located in the Valley of the Kings, was the burial place of the Pharaoh Merneptah and is the model of royal tombs Merneptah was a son of Ramesses II and Queen Isis-Nofret.the tomb was discovered by Howard Carter in 1903. Of coursethere is a material decrease in the number of lateral rooms, and a dramatic increase in the height of the corridors and rooms. He did away with the jogged axis used since the time of Horemheb and instead built the entire tomb on a single axis. Also, for the first time, the entrance was made considerably wider than earlier tombs .
Entrance fees to the tomb of Tutankhamun (450 EGP) (optional) King Tutankhamun, the most famous king in the world. This young king from the New Kingdom was around 10 years old when he ascended the throne and died when he was only 19. You will get the chance to be face to face with his royal mummy in his tomb in the Valley of the Kings
Temple of Merenptah, West Bank of Luxor
The tomb of Ramses IV (KV 2) in the Valley of the Kings is rather different than most other tombs built here. This tomb is by far the most spectacular of the other tombs you will see. The hieroglyphics on the wall depict scenes from the Litany of Ra, Book of the Dead, Book of Caverns, the Book of the Heavens, Book of Amduat, and the Book of the Night. The blue and white colors on the walls inside the burial chamber are very vibrant and you can see the king's sarcophagus made of rose-colored granite. There is also a beautiful scene of goddess Nut on the ceiling, where she is depicted swallowing the sun, and it traveling through her stomach, for Nut to give birth to it. The tomb has so much colour and detail even the ceiling above the sarcophagi with its goddess Nut stretching across the space. The sarcophagus is one of the largest in the valley, even though some of the paintings have deteriorated this is one of the most decorated.
Ramesseum (Mortuary Temple of Ramses II)
Tomb of King Ramesses lx was the third pharaoh of the Twentieth Dynasty of the New Kingdom of Ancient Egypt. His name prior to assuming the crown was Amonhirkhopshef. He was the fifth son of Ramesses III and was appointed to the position of crown prince by the twenty-second year of his father's reign when all four of his elder brothers predeceased his promotion to crown prince . The tomb has so much colour and detail even the ceiling above the sarcophagi with its goddess Nut stretching across the space. The sarcophagus is one of the largest in the valley, even though some of the paintings have deteriorated this is one of the most decorated.

Abdul was great. He understood that we had limited time and ensured that we saw the main spots in good time. When one of the children did not feel well, he was kind and sympathetic. Highly recommended.
Absolutely wonderful Day out with our guide Osama. Osama made our whole Experience so fun, always including the kids and keeping them interested and his knowledge was incredible. Very good communication regarding pick up and prompt service. Would highly recommend.
A private tour with Mike Atty was great! full of knowledge and passion for the Valley of the Kings and he advised on which were the best tombs to visit and why. Great price, thank you for the memories!
Easily booked, great informative and helpful guide (Hassan) clean and modern minibus with great aircon. As this was our second visit to the Valley of the Kings we had an idea of what we wanted to see, this was easily facilitated by Hassan. We had an interesting insight into the history of the Valley and some great information on the stories we would see in the tombs. If you’re on one of the TUI cruises and don’t want to do the whole day trip offered with them then this is a good alternative, safe and definitely value for money.
Our guide was Abdul from Luxor, he was fantastic. He made contact before tour, picked us up outside our boat. He was so knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend.
We had a great experience with Hassan through the Valley of the Kings and the Hatshepsut temple. We got picked-up in a modern van with air-conditioning and heard about the history of the Egypt dynasties, the inception and evolution of pyramids to what is today in the Valley of the Kings. Hassan was interactive, kind, and explained everything very clearly. He was happy to answer questions, and accommodated to our needs. I recommend this tour experience without doubt. Shukran, Hassan.

We had a private tour booked to visit the tombs / Valleyof the Kings. Our guide Amil, was very knowledgeable and funny, he gave the story of the tombs etc, however he stayed in the cafe area whilst we walked around the tombs amd valley on our own. We noticed other guides following to the door of the tomb, telling the story in detail of each. It could have been nice to get this detail for each, however walking around on our own enabled us to see more than the three tombs included with the ticket. We also saw King Tut’s tomb which costs extra., but we felt worth it. We also went to visit Hatshepsut’s temple, again our guide waited in the cafe whilst we walked around the temple on our own. Definitely recommend the experience, but look carefully gor a guide that stays with you if that is ehat you want.
I feel so lucky that Hasan was our tour guide on our private tour to the valley of the kings. He made the Egyptian history come alive and he was such a fantastic story teller. The kids loved him, and he made our visit smooth and as enjoyable as it can possible be when you are queening with thousands of other tourists in blazing heat to see the tombs (with two sometimes grumpy kids). Having the luxury of a private guide meant that we could leave when the kids had enough and we could do things in our own tempo. Hassan was very responsive to us and an all in all kind man. I highly recommend this tour.
Very well organised, khalid was an excellent, passionate guide with plenty of information but not excessive. We visited all the sights we wanted too and were able to opt out of the alabaster tour which was not of interest. Easy morning and we beat the crowds. Everything ran to time.
it is an unforgettable and professional experience. The tour guide is very professional and he provided a lot of historical information for us. I highly recommend this tour in Luxor.
A great experience. Valley of the Kings is a must see and do. We chose to just do the 3 tomb option of Ramses 3 & 4 & Merenptah tombs. They were extremely colorful and 2 of them were reasonably deep. But definitely do-able for the average person. Fantastic experience- well worth the time and money. Our guide Muhammed was knowledgeable, caring and interesting. Thanks for a great day.
We spent a pleasant day with Mohammed and our driver. Mohammed, our guide, has been very kind and knowledgeable. We have learned a lot of interesting things on ancient Egypt. We recommend sincerly this tour.
Day trip around luxor with Muhammad is a must do. His a fantastic guide and really goes the extra mile. Learning along the way about history. Definitely benefited from private tour. 👍👍👍
Great tour with our guide Mohammed. He was very knowledgeable and explained the sites well. Itinerary was flexible and time was well spent.
Mohammed was a great tour guide. Very knowledgable and helped us navigate crowds and tickets for a smooth and very interesting experience. We felt safe and comfortable all day and was an added bonus to be picked up from the hotel and taken around in a nicely air conditioned car. Would highly recommend!
Muhammad was a fantastic guide & Egyptologist! He had a lot of knowledge and made it a very fun experience. He helped us to get tickets, shared his knowledge with us, took photos & made sure it was an all around smooth & relaxing trip. I’d definitely recommend Muhammad if you are looking for a guide ☺️
Valley of the Kings private tour was fantastic. Very well organised and guided by Rajab who kept us informed , had a good sense of humour and kept everything nice and relaxed. The tombs are spectacular, it was relatively quiet and no queues! There are clean toilets on site. Be prepared to visit the Alabaster shop on the way back but it was fun and no hassle. Finished with a boat trip back over the Nile ... well done Luxor Tours , highly recommended.
I was part of a shared private tour of the West Bank organised at the Jolie Ville Hotel via Alhassany Travel. We had a wonderful driver, Mosa, along with Abdalla Fouad, our Egyptologist guide. Mosa, a very kind and courteous driver, collected us on time and assisted in driving us to all the locations safely. He was on hand to pick us up at each location and drive us back to the hotel at the end of the tour. Abdalla is very informative and explained each location and place of interest with insight and detailed knowledge. I learnt many interesting details along the way. Abdalla courteously seemlessly guided us to each tomb location. He clearly explained how to purchase additional tomb tickets and directed us to each site in a timely manner. The whole tour was very well organised, informative and enjoyable, due to Abdalla’s vast knowledge and experience. This tour is highly recommended as are Abdalla and Mosa.
The natural beauty we encountered on this trip was simply stunning. From the drive along the West Bank of Luxor to the surrounding desert hills, the scenery was nothing short of magnificent. The contrasts of the lush Nile valley and the arid desert made for a unique experience. Whether we were gazing at the mountains where the tombs of the pharaohs were hidden or admiring the vast open spaces, the landscapes added an incredible backdrop to our journey. The views were a reminder of Egypt's timeless beauty and history.
The tombs are amazing to see. The detailed decoration and carvings from centuries ago are still so visible
The valley of the kings is not to be missed! I preferred this over the pyramids tour. There is so much to see inside the hidden tombs of old Egyptian kings, including the mummy of Tutankhamun. Our guide, Rajab was the BEST! He provided interesting facts, pointed out hidden secrets and had a great sense on humour. I highly recommend requesting Rajab for your tour!
This is a great half day experience. Easy to book, and we were even able to change our start time at relative short notice. The vehicle was air conditioned, modern, and the pick up and drop off service added to the experience. Our guide, Rajab, was insightful, funny, confident, and spoke great English. The tomb of King Tut, and the Habu Temple were highlights, whilst the staff at the alabaster bazaar were extremely helpful, and have great products for souvenirs. Highly recommend this tour for a half day.
Khalid was an excellent tour guide and was very knowledgeable, giving us a very good insight into the history of the Valley of the Kings as well as Egyptian culture and history. Hassan, our driver was always ready and waiting when we were ready to leave.
+ The guide was on time, the car was clean and comfortable and the tour provided lots of interesting information about ancient Egypt and the Valley of the Kings. The guide also got us through the ticket line quickly and recommended the most interesting tombs to visit. We did not feel rushed in any way. - We could have done without the stop at the craft village as we had no interest in buying trinkets. The guide offered us options to see other sights not on the itinerary but I felt the prices quoted for the add-ons were a bit steep, so we decided against doing this sadly.
Valley of the kings is unbelievable. Most impressive hieroglyphics. Vivid colors. Amazing tombs. In terms of seeing ancient pharaohs tombs it is extremely impressive.
Very nice moment with first class guide with humor and very good knowledge. we recommend you to add the early morning balloon flight
Abdul was great! Very knowledgeable and enthusiastic! He was able to answer every question asked and gave lots of great information. Even took us to an extra stop for an extra charge. Great day!
Hassan was amazing. He was on time and extremely knowledgeable. He was also great with our kids (age 7 and 11). We had a wonderful time and experience and would recommend anyone to take advantage of this opportunity.
Abdul was a brilliant and memorable guide, he took us on a half day tour of the Valley of the Kings with a stop off at the stone carvers (more on that later), he had a deep knowledge of the history of Egypt (he is an Egyptologist and lectures at Universities around the world), he clearly knows his stuff. He showed us the best tombs to go to, provided key historical facts before we entered and even helped us to fend off the hustling market sellers! A truly memorable day which was made better by the deep and well communicated historical context. We stopped off at the stone carvers on the way back which was great too, a well rehersed demo of an art that has been passed down for many generations from Howard Carter's water boy, brilliant stuff! The stone pieces on display were very well made and there was no hassle to purchase. We picked up a small carving and negotiated the price right down, do not be afraid to play hard ball and go really low and threaten to walk if the price is not right. We went from E£8000 to E£2000. Great fun. All in all a brilliant day that I will remember for a long time to come.
We had a great half day tour from Luxor to the Valley of the Kings during which our experienced and knowledgeable guide Abdul explained all that we needed to know. On the drive there we were treated to coffee and on the return journey we paused at a small village where the locals entertained us with a demonstration of how they create Alabaster carvings. Most enjoyable and highly recommended.
We had a great half day tour from Luxor to the Valley of the Kings during which our experienced and knowledgable guide Abdul explained all that we needed to know. We then booked a second trip out with Abdul two days later, visiting the Temple of Hatshepsut.
Our guide Abdul, took my dad and I round the valley of the Kings. Abdul is incredible knowledgeable and we walked away having learnt a lot. 10/10 would recommend to anyone wanting to go!
We had an amazing guide, Khalid and driver Ahmed in the Valley of the Kings! They provided an exceptional service, offering valuable insights into the historical significance of the site and ensuring a smooth and enjoyable visit. Their expertise and professionalism greatly enhanced our experience, making it a memorable and educational trip. Khalid could answer any question we put to him. Highly recommended!
Khaled is a very nice guide, good explanations and great mood :-) The only thing in Valley of the King is that it is always crowded so could be better to start by it.
Excellent guide, very knowledgeable and kind, he made sure I got to see all there is to see. I highly recommend.
Incredible experience, our guide, Khalid, had a masters in Egyptology and his knowledge was incredible. We are a mother and daughter - Khalid was so personable and respectful. Valley of the kings was breathtaking, a must do experience. The tombs were so beautifully decorated.
Our tour guide was called Khalid. Firstly I’d like to say we bought our tour on viator but due to health reasons had to delay our tour by one day and even though the time of 24 hours had past, Khalid was amazing and understanding that he allowed us to change our tour for the day after. He met us the day after in our lobby and our tour finally started. We arrived at our first stop after a 40 minute guided ride in an air con minibus, the temple of Hatshepsut. Our guide explained the history and importance of such a temple while guiding us through ticket barriers and finally to the temple, he took many photos of my wife and I which we really appreciate. Our second stop was to the valley of the kinds where we viewed the 3 tombs that come with the actual ticket fee and of course King Tut’s tomb. I highly recommend starting early before the mass tour guides from Hurghada arrive which is usually about 1pm onwards due to their late arrival but bus as it takes them 5 hours or more so I highly recommend getting this tour as early as possible to miss the mass queues and heaving crowds. Again, our tour guide showed us all our tomb entrances while helping us with vast amounts of knowledge. Our last stop was to Carter’s house which I highly recommend if you like going back in time and viewing old houses. This house is largely intact with all the furnishings inside, complete with dining table, beds, kitchen, dark room and vast amounts of paintings painted by Howard Carter himself. I highly recommend you going to this house to get a feeling what it was like to live there, just imagine being Howard Carter in this house, looking out of the windows to what would have been a very different view. I highly recommend Khalid as your tour guide as he made our trip memorable and that is what we wanted
Great experience! Our tour guide Khalid picked us up from the airport and took us the the Valley of the Kings. We then personalized the trip by adding Luxor Temple, amazing sites. Khalid was very knowledgeable, friendly, and always conscious of the time to drop us off back at the airport for our return to Cairo in the afternoon. I fully recommend this company and my friend Khalid!
Ameen was very professional and extremely knowledgeable in the history of Egypt. He answered all our questions to the fullest. His easy going way was very welcome on a hot day and kept us amused and interested during the tour
I highly recommend booking a guided tour of the Valley of the Kings with Hamdy Had. My recent experience with Hamdy Had was nothing short of amazing, and I wanted to share my thoughts on this unforgettable journey. From the very beginning, Hamdy had a warm and welcoming demeanor. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the history of the Valley of the Kings, and he shared fascinating stories and insights throughout the tour. His passion for Egyptology was palpable, and it made the experience all the more special. The tour itself was incredibly well-organized, and we were able to see all of the major highlights of the Valley of the Kings. Hamdy was able to provide detailed explanations of the various tombs and artifacts, and he was happy to answer any questions that we had. He also made sure that we had ample time to explore each site and take plenty of photos. One of the highlights of the tour was our visit to the tomb of Tutankhamun. Hamdy's knowledge about the tomb and its history was truly impressive, and he was able to provide us with insights that we would never have discovered on our own. It was an incredible experience that I will never forget.
Good, flexible tour with a great guide who helps you skip past the large groups. You have the opportunity to do as many tombs as you’d like or see additional sites as requested, so overall worth the money! They’ll also pick you up from the airport if that’s what you’re looking for.
The valley of the kings is very cool and it was really nice to have a kind and knowledgeable tour guide. Very pleased with the tour
Excellent well planned tour of the Valley of the Kings. Our guide provided great information and made some changes to the the logistics that saved us about 2 hours travel time, allowing us more time on site and plenty of time to return to our boat before sailing. I would highly recommend this tour over the usual group tour, if it's an optional add-on tour, provided by the tour groups.
I enjoyed my visit to the Valley of the Kings with our tour guide Ragab and driver Ahmad. Our guide was very experienced and knowledgeable about Egypt’s history in general and about the site. He answered our many questions with ease and patience and was very kind and helpful all day. I recommend this tour.
We had a great 2 days tour of valley of the kings , Hatshepsut temple , Karnak temple . Hassan and Ramadan ( the driver) very friendly , knowledgeable and entertaining, even my 14 year old teenage boy ( whose passion is sports only ) was engaged and to my surprise totally enjoyed learning the history of Egypt . This will be a trip our family will remember forever .
The experience was fun for families, informative, exciting. I also recommend adding the hot air balloon to the tour. Hassan was an awesome tour guide, he was very knowledgeable, patient, and brought great energy to the tour. I would definitely recommend it.
We had great time in the kings valley. Our guide Hassan was knowledgeable and accommodating. We added the Hatshepsut Temple to the tour and he was happy to do it. It’s highly recommended
Hassan was a perfect guide. He was very clever and kind. He knew well about the egyptian history. What a nice tour in luxor!
