Our guide Khalid gave me and my family a great tour seeing both the valley of the kings and the temple of Hatshepsut. He told us a lot of interesting history and answered all of our questions. I fully recommend him as your future guide for exploring the west bank outside Luxor.

The tomb of Ramesses III, designated as KV 11, is a complex system in the Valley of the Kings. It has been known since antiquity, the wonderful decorations include colourful painted sunken reliefs featuring the traditional ritual texts (Litany of Ra, Book of Gates etc) and Ramses before the gods. Unusual here are the secular scenes, in the small side rooms of the entrance corridor, showing foreign tributes, such as highly detailed pottery imported from the Aegean, the royal armoury, boats and, in the last of these side chambers, the blind harpists that gave the tomb one of its alternative names: ‘Tomb of the Harpers’
The Tomb of King Tut. The tomb of Tutankhamun is the only tomb in Valley of the Kings that was discovered nearly intact in 1922. The discoverer of his tomb was Howard Carter. Tut's famous golden mask is on display at the Egyptian Museum in Cairo, but here you have the opportunity to be amazed at the royal mummy of the young king. After visiting the tombs you will be transported to the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut (Deir el Bahari),
First you will be transported to the Necropolis of Thebes, the Valley of the Kings on the West Bank of Luxor. This ancient necropolis is a must-see for Luxor travelers. There you visit four royal tombs, including the Tomb of Ramses, the Tomb of Horemheb, the Tomb of Merenptah and of course the Tomb of King Tut. In Egyptian mythology, Ptah is the demiurge of Memphis, god of craftsmen and architects. In the or simply in its falcon form of the new deity, began to be placed in tombs to accompany and protect the dead on their journey to the West of Luxor .Tomb 8, which is located in the Valley of the Kings, was the burial place of the Pharaoh Merneptah and is the model of royal tombs Merneptah was a son of Ramesses II and Queen Isis-Nofret.the tomb was discovered by Howard Carter in 1903. Of coursethere is a material decrease in the number of lateral rooms, and a dramatic increase in the height of the corridors and rooms. He did away with the jogged axis used since the time of Horemheb and instead built the entire tomb on a single axis. Also, for the first time, the entrance was made considerably wider than earlier tombs .
Step inside the magnificent Tomb of Seti I, one of the longest and most beautifully decorated tombs ever discovered. Adorned with vivid colors and intricate carvings, this masterpiece of the New Kingdom is currently open to the public for a limited time and limited visitors only—a rare opportunity not to be missed.
The tomb of Ramses IV (KV 2) in the Valley of the Kings is rather different than most other tombs built here. This tomb is by far the most spectacular of the other tombs you will see. The hieroglyphics on the wall depict scenes from the Litany of Ra, Book of the Dead, Book of Caverns, the Book of the Heavens, Book of Amduat, and the Book of the Night. The blue and white colors on the walls inside the burial chamber are very vibrant and you can see the king's sarcophagus made of rose-colored granite. There is also a beautiful scene of goddess Nut on the ceiling, where she is depicted swallowing the sun, and it traveling through her stomach, for Nut to give birth to it. The tomb has so much colour and detail even the ceiling above the sarcophagi with its goddess Nut stretching across the space. The sarcophagus is one of the largest in the valley, even though some of the paintings have deteriorated this is one of the most decorated.
After visiting the tombs you will be transported to the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut (Deir el Bahari), the only woman ever to reign over Egypt as Pharaoh. This queen was an ancestor of King Tutankhamun and belonged to the same dynasty.Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, the only woman ever to reign over Egypt as Pharaoh .
Colossi of Memnon – Guardians of Ancient Thebes Rising majestically from the Theban Luxor, the Colossi of Memnon are two massive stone statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III, each standing about 18 meters (60 feet) tall. These towering figures have watched over the Nile Valley for over 3,400 years, welcoming travelers and guarding the ruins of the once magnificent Mortuary Temple of Amenhotep III. Originally constructed to honor the pharaoh as a god in the afterlife, the Colossi were part of the largest temple complex in ancient Thebes—now lost to floods and time. Despite centuries of damage, the statues remain an awe-inspiring sight, especially at sunrise, when the light casts golden hues One of the statues became legendary in the Greco-Roman era, known to “sing” or make a mysterious sound at dawn—believed by ancient tourists to be the voice of Memnon, a hero of the Trojan War. This phenomenon made the site one of the most visited and written about landmarks in the ancient world.

Great experience with Khalid. Highly recommend. A+
Abdul was Great! Very knowledgeable and fun. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a private tour.
Our guide was very informative, but was unable to go in the tombs with us. He pointed out things for us to look for before going in. Valley of the Kings is very hot in July so bring a lot of water.
We had an amazing day at the Valley of the Kings and Khalid was a very knowledgeable guide. We really enjoyed the day! I would highly recommend this tour!
Great day out. Our guide Hassan was passionate, engaging and knowledgeable. Transport was smooth and we would highly recommend for a day exploring valley of the kings
We visited 27 March. Khalid tour guide and Ahmed driver. Thank you for a really excellent day at the Valley of the Kings. Much appreciated.
We had a really great day and learned a lot. Our guide (Mo) was fantastic and we had a really great time. It is so much better to have a private tour than deal with the tour bus crowds. Highly recommend!
This tour is highly recommended! We took a balloon ride booked through the same company so our guide met us afterwards. The tour was well organized. Our Egyptologist guide Abdul, spoke good English and also good archaeological background. He is knowledgeable and learned the history of people who lived in the areas of the tomb sites. In the Valley of the Kings, we indicated that we want to see SETTI which is an extra cost and King Tut. SETII IS WORTH THE EXTRA FEE. The hieroglyphs are vibrant and detained. Abdul chose the other 3 tombs for us which we all love, especially Ramses III. He explained what we will see inside using postcards (which we purchased later) so it was nice to hunt the hieroglyphics and know their meaning. He gave us enough time to explore each tombs on our own. We also had time for quick snack break as it got really hot inside the tombs. Don't expect to eat a full sit down meal during the tour especially if you decide to visit 5 tombs which can be time consuming. Overall, very happy with this tour, nice driver and excellent tour guide, Abdul.
Spectacular. The valley of the kings cannot be missed, with the tomb of Seti I being well worth what we paid. Hassan was a truly excellent guide - he answered all our questions and gave us plenty of flexibility to move at our own pace and add on other local sites into the afternoon. Would recommend.
Hassan was brilliant - he was incredibly knowledgeable and was very entertaining. For anyone looking to get a deep knowledge of ancient Egypt I would recommend Hassan.
Excellent knowledge of the Egyptology and the Valley of the Kings by our tour operatorer Hamidy. He was very helpful and made our tour most pleseant one!
Really nice guide (Hassan) and driver. They fulfilled all our wishes and also an extra stop at Hasheput Temple was included (at an extra costs). I would always repeat the tour with them again and can fully recommend them.
We visited 3 tombs plus king Tut’s plus Sheti’s. King tut’s had his mummy inside and Sheti’s was the most beautiful with the least people. Our guide was Mr. Hassan. Great guy, great vibes, funny, he gaves us some very-easy-to-understand insights on ancient egypt, the kings and way of thinking, and how they ended up building such magnificent structures.
Mahmound Oraby was excellent and very accommodating and he taught us so much about the Pharaohs. The driver was also excellent and the was vehicle very comfortable.
We booked the tour through Viator. We enjoyed the tour a lot, recommended. We visited Valley of Kings (with Tuthankhamun tomb), Hatshepsut, Colossi of Memnon, passed by a village where they showed us how they make the sculptures. Our guide Hassan was very friendly, and told us a lot of things - great story telling, you can see he is passionate about the history. He is knowledgeable so you can ask him all questions. Thank you!
Had a lovely time in Jersey with Acklams coaches. The Merton Hotel is the best we have ever stayed at. So easy going, so friendly - the staff could not do enough for you. Excellent. Had a tour of the island and took the little train to St Aubins. Dissappointed that the Duchess was not sailing that week and their communication was non existent even though we had paid in advance. But we enjoyed out stay.
Tour delivered exactly as described. It was supposed to be a group tour but ended up being private. Guide was very thoughtful and knowledgeable.
Amazing tour of the Valley of the Kings and Hatshetsup Temple with our guide Rajab. Everyone knows Rajab and Rajab knows how to help you get the best from your trip. Excellent historical knowledge and highly recommended.
I just returned from an incredible journey with Guide Morocco Tour, and I can't express enough how amazing this experience was! From start to finish, every detail was thoughtfully curated to ensure we had the trip of a lifetime.
Had a great guide. He was passionate about sharing knowledge on Egypt. He made the day informative and fun. Highly recommend this tour.
What can I say about this tour it was absolutely amazing our guide Hassan was just amazing he went into so much detail and made it a very enjoyable experience, he spoke very good English and told the amazing stories of Egypt. Defiantly recommended and will keep his number for future trips. 10-10 Fantastic Day out.

A fantastic day out with Ahmed,a very proffesional, friendly and knowledgable guide.Mohammed was our driver and helped to make the whole trip relaxing and comfortable. We really enjoyed the valley of the Kings. The highlight of the day was the tomb of Seti 1st. Amazing and well worth a visit.
We experienced a top-notch tour from Mansour Hussein! With Mansour, we visited the Valley of the Kings and Valley of the Queens. This included a visit to King Tut's Tomb and Hapshepsut's Temple. First, we chose Luxor Tours because of their excellent TripAdvisor rating. Our communication with Ragab was thorough and efficient, which gave us confidence as we made reservations 1,000 miles away. We were particularly interested in having an Egyptologist all to ourselves, but we truly lucked out by getting Mansour as our guide. His knowledge of ancient Egyptian history, architecture, and art made every second of our tour a joy.. Additionally, Mansour answered our many questions about modern-day Egyptian culture. Please read more about our experience with Mansour in our post about our Luxor and Karnak Temple tours.
The complete visit to the Valley of the Kings was amazing. I would not have expected so much beauty, especially in the tombs of Seti I and Ramsete IV. The tomb of Tutankhamun is also worth a visit, if only for the fame of the treasure on display in Cairo. It also deserves the temple of Hatshepshut, a masterpiece that has endured through the millennia. Khalid showed us the most deserving things, explaining everything with great competence. Thanks also to the driver, Allam.
Unique experience with Hassan, amazing guide and our guide Alam. Professionalism and super kindness!
We booked a VIP day trip from El Gouna to Luxor through Memnon Reisen. And it became the perfect day. Early in the morning we were picked up by our driver Michael. He made our several-hour drive very pleasant. Clean car, air conditioning, drinks and TV on board. In Luxor we met our guide Naschaad Obaid Saad. A professor of archaeology and a master to inspire people and take them into the history of ancient Egypt. We looked behind the scenes, admired masterpieces of ancient Egypt and learned to read hieroglyphics. Naschaad enriched and fascinated us with his archaeological knowledge. You could listen to him for hours and it would never get boring. We would book this tour again anytime.
Did the Nile cruise with Trendtours. The Hatshepsut Temple was included in the program. I visited the tomb of Seti I alone. Admission costs 2000 EGP. That's about 40 euros. It may be photographed without flash. I really wanted to see this grave and it was very worth it. It was my 4th. Visit to Egypt. In Luxor I have now seen over 30 graves and the tomb of Seti I is fantastic. The Hatshepsut Temple is also definitely worthwhile.
