My partner and I booked a guided tour with Go Luxor Tours to visit the Valley of the Kings. It was such a smooth experience, our guide was so knowledgeable, really friendly and was bilingual. The communication was great, our tour guide was on time and never made us feel rushed throughout the day. We loved the quiz trivia! In terms of transfers; the car was very nice, clean and spacious. We definitely recommend booking the tour!

My husband and I have been wanting to go to Egypt for years and it took us a long time to settle on a tour guide for the trip of a lifetime. From the very beginning our communication with Michael from GoLuxor was great. Every detail of our tour was meticulously planned out. We really wanted to do a private tour of the interior of the pyramids of Giza and Michael was able to arrange this for us. It was an unforgettable experience being able to walk on the Giza plateau without anyone else around you and then climb inside the pyramid to the interior chambers alone without any crowds. Experiencing it without other people makes you realize how massive the pyramids are and how small you are in comparison. Even when our tour needed to start a day later because of airline issues, Michael was able to make sure we saw all the sites we wanted to see. My husband enjoys photography and we requested to get to a site early in the morning for the shot to be done in the early light and it was perfect. Our private tour consisted of two nights in Luxor and then three nights in Cairo. All of the airline transfers were seamless with our private driver and amazing tour guides. We learned so much of the Egyptian culture with our knowledgeable guides. Michael and George were our guides in Luxor and Yehya was our guide in Cairo. They were all Egyptologists who could seriously answer any question we had about ancient and modern day Egypt. Walking through the sites with someone who knows what to point out to you makes all the difference when trying to appreciate something that is 4000 years old! We also really enjoyed Yehya’s thoughtful insights at the Grand Egyptian Museum. We would without a doubt recommend GoLuxor to anyone looking for an enriching and exciting visit to Egypt!

In Aswan and Luxor we were lucky to have Michael himself with us throughout the rest of the trip. Besides the scheduled Egyptian sites, we stopped at some spice and tea shops, as well as flower essences, a street market, a papyrus factory, a gold and silver shop, and maybe something else I might be forgetting now. I don’t know where to begin. I found Go Luxor Tours through the internet on various blog platforms and reddit and decided to make the jump after speaking with Mike. Not only did we do the full day experience but he also arranged all of our transportation including round trip flights from Cairo and airport transportation all in one very long, exhausting, yet magical day. We hit some speed bumps with the US presidents daughter visiting the same day but Mike masterfully pivoted and gave us the best day. He knows his history and also makes the best photographer! He even helped me get my very own cartouche made and surprised me with a birthday cake and full song at lunch! Mike and Go Luxor Tours made my dreams come true. Just book it!

We visited Egypt during late December and early January with our extended family. 11 of us! We started planning late (October) and we got in touch with Mike through Go Luxor Tours to help us. He was so willing to help even though we didn’t give him much time! He booked a wonderful Nile cruise, excellent guides, fun excursions and was so accommodating with our last minute changes - adding a hot air balloon ride and Nubian Village. He must never sleep because he promptly answered all of our questions and messages. He was truly amazing to work with and is so fun and friendly as well. We felt safe and were in good hands the entire time. We can’t thank Mike enough for all he did to make this a truly memorable experience for our family!

We used Mike and GoLuxor tours for a 10 day visit to Egypt for a family of 11. Mike and the team took care of every last detail of our trip. When we had a small issue on the boat for our cruise portion, he took responsibility for communicating directly with the cruise staff to help us resolve it. The three different guides we had for the entire tour were all excellent and very knowledgeable about Egypt. They were able to answer our questions. They were very polite and always went that extra step to help us with anything that we needed. The price for the overall tour was very reasonable. Mike also helped us with regards to making sure that we were familiar with what were going to be doing and what to expect on any given day. After the tour when we had an Airbnb in Cairo, he also made sure that we knew our way around and didn’t have any issues. When we made a trip to go see some family he suggested an Uber instead of taking a van which would’ve cost more. He really made sure from the beginning that we had a great time in Egypt and was VERY responsive the entire trip. We highly recommend.

We had an excellent experience with Go Luxor Tours from start to finish. We made use of 3 services: . Airport pick up . Full-day Luxor West and East Bank tour . Private transfer from Luxor to Port Ghalib/Marsa Alam We were picked up at the airport upon arrival in a clean and tidy car by a nice driver who didn’t speak English. But this wasn’t a problem at all. The next day we were picked up at 8:30 to do a private full-day West and East Bank tour in Luxor. Truly impressive and beautiful sites, made even better by our outstanding guide, Reem. She was knowledgeable, clear, and a pleasure to spend the day with. The car (same car and driver as for airport pick-up) was in excellent condition and our driver was professional and reliable. We had booked this tour including bbq lunch. This was OK, but nothing to write home about. We were dropped off after sightseeing Luxor temple at around 5pm. The following day we had a transfer from Luxor to Marsa Alam, again with the same car and driver, which made the long journey of about 5,5 hours smooth and comfortable. On the way me made 2 stops. Prices were fair, fuel included, tips, of course, not. Special thanks to Mike for the perfect organisation throughout. He was on top of everything, proactive, and always ready with good advice and great service. If you need a tour or a transfer in Egypt, this is definitely who to turn to.

We had an amazing tour with Michael he showed us lots of things in Luxor including valley of the kings! He was patient answered all our questions and we learnt a lot. The driver he sorted with us was great. Punctual and a safe driver (3 hours there and back with zero complaints from us!) We can’t wait to come back and hire Michael and his company again, 10/10 experience. And worth noting, hassle free, no upsells etc.. which is Nice.

We had a wonderful time. Both Michael and Shereen were excellent and we appreciated the efforts from the drivers as well, always close by and with excellent AC for a couple of polar bears like us.

Had a lovely experience in Egypt in Cairo, Aswan, Luxor, as well as a Nile cruise with Go Luxor. Yehya and Mike were great guides, and Mike even took us to his favorite falafel spot in Luxor! (Best falafel ever.) Great communication from the start of planning via WhatsApp through to picking us up. We appreciated the communication especially because we had very early flight connections we couldn’t miss for the rest of our trip after Egypt.

Michael from GoLuxor helped organise a 12 day trip to Egypt in October 2025. The trip included Cairo, 4 night Nile cruise and 2 days in Alexandria. Michael’s WhatsApp and email correspondence was quick efficient and very helpful. His hotel recommendations were excellent. His attention to detail and logistics was very reassuring. He kept tabs on all our requirements, personally ensured a taxi arrived at 0300 for an early morning flight and ensured a quick room change on the cruise. The cars that drove us around were very new with clean interior and cold bottled water provided. The drivers were safe and trustworthy. Yehya guided us in Cairo and Alexandria. He was very knowledgeable about the city and ancient Egyptian history. We had a great time with him. Michael guided us in Luxor and on the cruise. He was a great guide, knowledgeable, flexible (0600 starts to avoid the heat and crowds), responsive and easy to get along. Despite a packed itinerary we did jot feel hurried or pressured into anything. We would highly recommend Go Luxor to organise tours in Egypt.

We spent over two weeks in Egypt. Go Luxor picked us up from the airport and we were off and running. We started out at the Lexor Museum from there headed to the West Bank after that the East bank. Toward the valley of the Kings and then the temple of Queen Hatshepsut. Then we headed off for a four night Nile cruise so many wonderful things to see along the way. One of the highlights was getting to ride camels around the pyramids of Giza and getting pictures taken. Later that day we went to the grand Egyptian Museum had a wonderful guide who took us through the entire museum and then we had free time to wander around on our own. Michael and his team did a fantastic job of taking great care of us. They took care of all our entrance fees to the museums and temples. All of our transfers and comfortable air conditioned vehicles all airport transfers from arrival to final departure I would highly recommend Go Luxor to anybody who is interested in learning about Egypt. It was a vacation that I will talk about for a very long time.

The guide was very cool, smart, kind and knowledgeable. She did her job perfectly and said all the informations we needed to enjoy the visits. The agency suggested to visit : Luxor temple, Karnak temple, the valley of the kings (with Tutankhamun and Ramses) and Hatshepsut temple. It was very nice. The driver drove well and was always on time. The company also organized train tickets to Cairo with good prices.

First off, I want to say that the pre-trip planning and communication with Mike was amazing. Mike was insightful and helped us navigate a few logistical challenges to plan our trip. A group of 4 of us joined the tour from Hurghada. Pick up was at 4:30am so be prepared for a long, but extremely worthwhile day! It was an incredible experience. Our first stop was the tombs at the Valley of the Kings and our group decided to do the 3 extra tombs which made the rest of the trip very rushed (it wasn’t explained to us that 3 tombs would add a lot of time). I would recommend maybe doing one extra tomb so that there is more time to visit the remaining sites. Seti’s tomb was my favorite of all of them. Our guide was knowledgeable and drivers were very professionally. There is water in the van and the van is very comfortable. I wish we had more time to see more of Egypt / Luxor! Would definitely do it with Go Luxor Tours again!

I booked Luxor Toirs for a tour of Luxor’s East Bank, followed by a car transfer to Hurghada. But the tour and transfer were great, and I would happily book with them again. Michael organized my trip, and was extremely proactive and communicative, and made sure that the everything was taken care of, even when some details changed at the last minute. My guide, Maha, was extremely knowledgeable and gave an excellent tour of the Luxor and Karnak Temples (and took some great photos)!

My family had a wonderful experience with Go Luxor Tours in Cairo, Luxor, and Aswan. Everything was exactly as expected and made our trip easy even with multiple cities/locations. Our guides were exceptional at informing us about the history of the people and places we visited. I hope to return to tour with Go Luxor and see more of Egypt someday.

This was an amazing experience! We were on a tour of Cairo and decided to add an extra day to go to Luxor. Michael Samir of Go Luxor Tours took care of everything including our roundtrip air from Cairo to Luxor. He maintained contact through What's App and was always available. We visited a great many sights in one day. Six tombs, including KV2 Rameses IV; KV9 Ramseses V & VI; KV62 King Tutankhamun (it is small but amazing as Tut's mummy is in the tomb); and KV17 Seti I. Seti one was exceptional. (See Attached Photos). We also visited the Karnak Temple Complex; the Luxor Temple and theMortuary Temple of Hatshepsut. Had an Egyptian Mixed Grill Lunch at a very old and lovely restaurant in Luxor. Also we toured an Alabaster Factory in purchase some beautiful items. Our guide, Shereen, was very knowledgeable. A great experience and highly recommended. The only caveat ..... don't go in July, It was very hot!

We booked this trip very last minute as a family, and to be honest, we weren’t sure what to expect. But from the very first interaction, we were blown away by the speed, efficiency, and above all, the kindness with which everything was handled. It felt like every detail had been carefully thought through – and done so with genuine care.

I needed a last minute guide and trip plan for beyond Cairo and Go Luxor did not disappoint. They did all the logistics withing 24 hours of my request. We were already in Cairo so it was urgent to find our way to Aswan, Luxor and Hurghada with only a few days. We did it very well. They did not do hotels but that was no big deal for us, I just got them on an app quickly. It was perfect to have PayPal as the way to pay, and we were able to add things along the way. Our guide was great and very knowledgeable. It was so nice to know that he too was hot, so he made sure we were told history on the way in the AC van or in shaded spots. We had an excellent and unforgerable experience thanks to Go Luxor Tours, we visit the Tombs, temples and also took a Felucca Ride in the Nile River. The transport was great with air condition, pick up and drop off at hotel, private guide expert on ancient egyptian history. I also like the he was very nice to help us with pictures and other valuable information.

My spouse and I used Go Luxor Tours for two private tour days in Luxor, one private tour day in Cairo and all transfers. We were so fortunate to have Michael as our tour guide in Luxor. Had high expectations of Luxor today and am happy to report that this tour exceeded expectations. Our guide Michael (Samir) was extremely knowledgeable and energetic throughout steering us effortlessly through the queues (and out of the clutches of the local tradesmen) whilst our driver safely negotiated local traffic! Our tour guides Michael and Sheree (thanks for filling in) were a great asset for our Egypt visit. They were knowledgeable about the sites and gave us recommendations as well. We had limited time and wanted to see the best and get out. We got pickup and drop off so did not have worry about hotel/airports transfers. Do house self a favor and get private guide. You can easy adjust your schedule and can omit the parts of the tour you don’t want to sit through like informational vendors.

Loved the tour- we were able to customize it with visiting three other temples on our way from Aswan to Luxor and then did the full day tour in Luxor. Mike patiently answered all our questions and was very knowledgeable. The entire team was always on time and ensured we could make the most out of our rushed trip. Mike was incredible (and George as our guide for the second day). He made booking super simple, we coordinated everything via instagram & paypal. We had nothing to worry about for our stay. We did an East & West Bank tour and boat ride. We tried to do hot air balloon ride but it was canceled due to weather. The whole process was seamless, we got amazing photos, and learned a ton. We had an amazing time with Go Luxor Tours our entire trip! This review is specifically for the tour of the West Bank of Luxor (Memnon, Valley of the Kings, and Temple of Hatshepsut) this leg of our trip was truly breathtaking. They organized it for us to be picked up after doing a separate experience (hot air balloon) on the West Bank of Luxor in order to have a more efficient start to our tour, which was very helpful. We started by meeting our guide, George who took us to the Statues of Memnon and explained the history of the location to us which was cool, but the real part of the tour was the Valley of the Kings. MAN! So much history!! We did not want to leave. Typical trip, you get to visit 3 different tombs in the area, with the option to add King Tut for a separate fee (we did) and George gave us such a detailed explanation of each tomb he recommended we go and see. They were three very different tombs with much different things to see, which we appreciated. It was a beautiful day and before each tomb, he fully explained as much as we could handle so that we could experience the tombs fully with the understanding of the history behind it. He let us know that tour guides aren’t typically allowed in the tombs since it would hold up too much traffic, which we appreciated. King Tut’s tomb was mind blowing, connecting our experience with France’s from Go Luxor Tours in Cairo, bringing our experience full circle in a way we did not expect, which was incredible. We ended our tour by visiting the temple of Hatshepsut which was also incredible by every stretch of the imagination. It was really so crazy that we had done so much in one day and each thing was more special than the last, by the end of our tour we could not have been more grateful for the opportunity to visit this special place with George helping us to see just how special it was. 10/10 would do it again and recommend these guys! They truly made our experience so special.

We’ve just returned from a customised 6 day trip with Go Luxor Tour. This is our first trip to Egypt so wanted to see as many sights as possible in this limited amount of time. Organising this trip from start to finish is a breeze with Michael Samir, who is super efficient with setting up itinerary, pricing and replies to any queries we have. I also like the fact we can choose our own accommodation instead of the usual cookie cutter hotel packages included with the land tours. Go Luxor Tours was also flexible with any changes we may have with the itinerary proposed or start/end times each day depending on our energy levels. They organised all transport (flights and car transfers) to and from each city, and airports, sites and made suggestions on restaurants when asked. The guides were fantastic (Francis in Cairo and Michael at Aswan/Luxor) and very knowledgeable, imparting information at each site and answering other queries we may have on history and Egyptian culture. We travelled with our 10 year old daughter and they made the whole trip enjoyable for all of us and ensure we were comfortable throughout. The advice on tips, shopping and security were appreciated, including an incident where the locals try to charge us extra EGP for using toilets instead of the standard amount 😬 We would happily use Go Luxor Tours again on our next trip to Egypt and have no hesitation recommending them to our friends for future trips.

I had just the best two days of tours with Go Luxor Tours! My guide Beshoo was so friendly, kind and knowledgeable and really made the trip worthwhile. The sights were just amazing and the logistics worked seamlessly. I would highly recommend!

Go Luxor Tours was recommended to me on a frequent traveler group. I sent a contact email and received a prompt reply from Mike. After a couple of emails to tailor my experience to what we wanted, we accepted the proposal and booked several days worth of tours in Cairo, Luxor and a private transfer to Hurghada in addition to all the airport transfers. As the day approached Mike contacted me to confirm the details and was in contact when we landed at Cairo at close to 3AM. Our tour guide Mario and driver Paul were waiting for us and took us to our hotel. The next tow days we visited the Egyptian Museum, a bazaar, Giza pyramids and Saqqara pyramid. Mario was knowledgeable and fun to spend the days with. In Luxor, Mike picked us up and we went straight to the Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut Temple and an evening boat ride on the Nile. The following day we toured Karnak and Luxor Temples with Mike then were driven in a private vehicle to a few days in Hurghada. The airport transfers were perfect and less expensive than coordinating with the hotel(s). Overall, I would highly recommend them for not only the tours, but all logistics while being in Egypt. As an American that has travelled to several countries, Egypt, by far, would have been the most overwhelming to try and navigate alone.

We had an incredible trip with our guides Mike and George!! Mike worked with us for a few months prior to our trip to organize a Nile cruise and a number of private tours from Aswan to Luxor. Our recent trip to Egypt, organized by Go Luxor Tours, was amazing! Mike Samir, our tour coordinator, planned an incredible itinerary just for us. He took care of everything from booking our flights to choosing hotels in convenient locations. We started our adventure in Cairo. Then we headed to Aswan followed by a 3-day cruise along the Nile River took us to Luxor, the highlight of our trip. Our guides, Francis in Cairo and George in Aswan & Luxor, made our journey even better with their knowledge and enthusiasm. At first, we were unsure about paying through Western Union, but Mike made everything easy and reliable. He quickly provided invoices and was easily reachable at all times. On the last day - one of our activities was canceled - he was prompt with the refunds - we didn't even have to follow up. Mike was a great host and guide on our visit to Luxor. Since we started planing our trip he was helpful and willing to accommodate the itinerary to fit best our interest. I went on this tour with a family that I met in Cairo and we figured out that we would be in Luxor on the same dates. So we decided to do a tour together. Since there were two children 9 and 14 years old, the company offered my friends to split the full day into two half-day trips and start early around 7.30 am so it would be easier for the kids. It turned out to be a great idea as the temperature soared to 44-46C after 2 pm. Those were wonderful, overwhelming two days. On the first day, we went to the West bank, and on the second to Luxor and Karnak temples. We had two different guides, Mike and Eereen (female guide), and they both were entertaining and doing their best to make us feel comfortable and engaged. I learned a lot of details about Egyptian culture and it was mind-blowing. Be aware that guiding in the tombs is forbidden so it would be better if you acquire some basic knowledge about Egyptian symbols beforehand. The guide will explain the most interesting aspects and details of a particular tomb and what to pay attention to at the entrance of it but those tombs are gigantic, with well-preserved inscriptions and there are so many interesting details so I got a lot of questions. I would take pictures and then show them to the guide. They would explain. Guiding in the temples is allowed so the guides accompany you and tell the story in real-time, and it's a bit more fascinating because they answer your questions as they arise. Beside explanations, both guides also gave us a lot of free time. I finished the tour with enormous inspiration to learn more about ancient Egypt because it is never enough and there is no end to its mystery. Overall, I had a fantastic time and enjoyed no end, despite the crazy heat of those days. I highly recommend this company for those who wants to be flexible and adjust the tour to their specific needs, enjoy comfort and thoughtful service, or who just wants to have a great time. Mike Samir our guide was excellent! He let us have free time, photo ops, sit down and get in the shade stops but all whilst giving us information and educating us on Egypt history. The driver was polite and the car nice and air con and clean. Pick up from our hotel was super easy and be in ga private tour of the valley of the Kings, hatspehphut temple we even squeezed in colossi of memnon and a tour of a factory thst made alabaster stone.
