Itinerary
Private Full-Day Luxor Highlights – East & West Banks Start your day with a hotel in Luxor, where your expert guide will welcome you for a fully guided 7-hour tour in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle. West Bank – The Necropolis of Thebes Valley of the Kings Your journey begins at the legendary Valley of the Kings, the final resting place of Egypt’s most powerful pharaohs. This UNESCO World Heritage site is a must-see, featuring elaborately decorated tombs that reveal the splendor of ancient Egyptian beliefs and artistry. During your visit, you’ll explore four royal tombs, including: The Tomb of Ramses IV – Famous for its vivid astronomical ceiling decorations. The Tomb of Ramses III – Featuring intricate wall reliefs and historical inscriptions. The Tomb of Merenptah – The grand burial site of Ramses II’s son. Tomb of King Tutankhamun (Tut), known for its historical significance and the treasures it once held.
Entrance fees to the tomb of Tutankhamun (300.00 EGP) (optional) King Tutankhamun, the most famous king in the world. This young king from the New Kingdom was around 10 years old when he ascended the throne and died when he was only 19. You will get the chance to be face to face with his royal mummy in his tomb in the Valley of the Kings
The tomb of Ramesses III, designated as KV 11, is a complex system in the Valley of the Kings. It has been known since antiquity, the wonderful decorations include colourful painted sunken reliefs featuring the traditional ritual texts (Litany of Ra, Book of Gates etc) and Ramses before the gods. Unusual here are the secular scenes, in the small side rooms of the entrance corridor, showing foreign tributes, such as highly detailed pottery imported from the Aegean, the royal armoury, boats and, in the last of these side chambers, the blind harpists that gave the tomb one of its alternative names: ‘Tomb of the Harpers’
In Egyptian mythology, Ptah is the demiurge of Memphis, god of craftsmen and architects. In the or simply in its falcon form of the new deity, began to be placed in tombs to accompany and protect the dead on their journey to the West of Luxor .Tomb 8, which is located in the Valley of the Kings, was the burial place of the Pharaoh Merneptah and is the model of royal tombs Merneptah was a son of Ramesses II and Queen Isis-Nofret.the tomb was discovered by Howard Carter in 1903. Of coursethere is a material decrease in the number of lateral rooms, and a dramatic increase in the height of the corridors and rooms. He did away with the jogged axis used since the time of Horemheb and instead built the entire tomb on a single axis. Also, for the first time, the entrance was made considerably wider than earlier tombs .
The tomb of Ramses IV (KV 2) in the Valley of the Kings is rather different than most other tombs built here. This tomb is by far the most spectacular of the other tombs you will see. The hieroglyphics on the wall depict scenes from the Litany of Ra, Book of the Dead, Book of Caverns, the Book of the Heavens, Book of Amduat, and the Book of the Night. The blue and white colors on the walls inside the burial chamber are very vibrant and you can see the king's sarcophagus made of rose-colored granite. There is also a beautiful scene of goddess Nut on the ceiling, where she is depicted swallowing the sun, and it traveling through her stomach, for Nut to give birth to it. The tomb has so much colour and detail even the ceiling above the sarcophagi with its goddess Nut stretching across the space. The sarcophagus is one of the largest in the valley, even though some of the paintings have deteriorated this is one of the most decorated.
After visiting the tombs you will be transported to the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut (Deir el Bahari), the only woman ever to reign over Egypt as Pharaoh. This queen was an ancestor of King Tutankhamun and belonged to the same dynasty.Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, the only woman ever to reign over Egypt as Pharaoh .

Hassan was a great guide through and through! Expert explanations about the best of best in Luxor. Highly recommend when visiting here!!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ What an incredible experience in Luxor! Visiting the Valley of the Kings and exploring the different temples was absolutely amazing. The history, architecture and stories behind everything we saw made the whole day unforgettable. Lunch on the Nile was a brilliant addition and gave us the chance to relax, enjoy the views and take in the beauty of Luxor. A massive thank you to our tour guide, Hassan, who was fantastic from start to finish. He was knowledgeable, friendly, professional and genuinely passionate about Egyptian history. He explained everything clearly, answered all our questions and made the whole experience even more enjoyable. One of the highlights of my trip to Egypt and an experience I would definitely recommend. If you get the opportunity to book this tour, ask for Hassan — you won’t be disappointed!
We spent a day in Luxor with our guide Hassan and had a really great experience. Communication and planning beforehand were easy, we were picked up on time and immediately received lots of interesting information about Luxor. We visited the Valley of the Kings, Medinet Habu and Karnak Temple. Our guide Hassan was very friendly and helpful, assisted us with the tickets and accompanied us everywhere. Thanks to his knowledge and the lively way he explained the history, we learned a lot. He also explained the reliefs and their stories in a great way, which made the visits much more interesting. I especially want to thank him for helping me find my lost phone. He stayed calm and put in a lot of effort to help me get it back – he really saved my day. Great guide and absolutely recommended!
We had such a great day exploring Luxor’s East and West Banks with Hassan. He was incredibly knowledgeable, but gave us just the right amount of detail without it ever feeling like too much. He kept things interesting throughout, answered all our questions and made the whole experience really enjoyable. Would absolutely recommend him!
Hassan our tour guide Hassan was friendly, knowledgeable and funny. Kept us entertained for a full day tour. Visiting Luxor is an absolute must and this tour particularly to learn about the history and see the beauty of Egypt.
You get to see the most amazing and important sites and you will learn all the interesting background history about it. Our guide Hassan was able to answer all our questions and he was very friendly. Our driver (we think his name was Ahmet) also very friendly and respectful.
Hassan - Really wonderful guide - patient and so knowledgeable. He explained everything in excellent English. He was so enthusiastic and made the trip memorable. He was also kind enough - as it was a private tour - to change the itinerary for us. Carters house was one thing I wanted to see. He gave us tips on which tombs to go into and, as we had seen Karnak, he gave us more time in Luxor temple. Simply this was a fantastic experience made more perfect with Hassan’s commentary.
We wanted information, we wanted fun facts and we wanted an understanding of the local temples and Valley of the Kings. We got everything we wanted today and more! Hassan was so professional, passionate and knowledgeable. After 10 days of tours in Egypt he has been the best guide by a mile.
Khalid was an exceptional guide. His knowledge was a history lesson throughout the tour. The tour was very informative and Khalid helped us to navigate the tombs and highlights in a way that was at our pace.
We had an amazing full-day tour in Luxor with our guide Hassan and our driver Abdu. Out of all the tours we did across Egypt, Hassan was by far the best guide we had. From the very beginning of the day, he built the entire story of ancient Egypt from the ground up. Instead of just pointing out monuments, he explained how the pharaoh system began, how it evolved over time, and connected everything together in a way that finally made it all make sense. He also did an incredible job explaining Egyptian mythology and how it tied into the temples and tombs we visited. His knowledge was outstanding, but what really set him apart was his ability to explain complex history in a fun, engaging, and easy-to-understand way. He took his time at every stop, never rushed us, answered every question we had, and made the entire day feel like a conversation rather than a lecture. For the first time, we truly understood what we were looking at instead of just admiring beautiful ruins. We also had so many enjoyable conversations throughout the day beyond the history, which made the experience even more memorable. Lunch at Paris Restaurant, which was included in the tour, was also excellent and a great break in the middle of the day. A special thank you to our driver, Abdu. Anyone who has experienced traffic in Egypt knows how chaotic it can be, but Abdu was incredibly calm, professional, and safe. We didn’t feel nervous even once during the entire day—which honestly says a lot about driving in Egypt! He was friendly, punctual, and made getting between sites completely stress-free. If you’re visiting Luxor, we cannot recommend Hassan and Abdu enough. They made what could have been just another sightseeing day into one of the highlights of our entire trip to Egypt.
I had a fantastic experience today with my guide Hassan. He was extremely knowledegable and friendly, and really enriched the day. I saw everything I wanted to see, he was very flexible, and gave you the space to explore by yourself but also added huge value in his breadth and passion for Egyptology. I highly recommend this company and get Hassan as your guide if you can. Brilliant.
Experience was amazing. Hassan is very knowledgeable and has taught me so much about the history of Luxor. Highly recommend!
We joined a one-day guided tour with Hassan, and we had a great experience. He is a very kind and friendly guy, and together with the driver they made the whole day smooth and enjoyable. Hassan speaks excellent English, and his explanations about Egyptian history were clear, engaging, and reliable. We learned much more than we expected from a typical tour. We would also like to highlight the lunch – it was the best meal we had during our trip in Egypt! We wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone looking for a knowledgeable and trustworthy guide. Orsi & Andris from Hungary 🙂
Hassan was very knowledgeable and friendly. We had a great day.
We had an absolutely wonderful experience exploring Luxor thanks to our guide, Khalid. From the very beginning, he made us feel welcome with his warm and friendly personality. His knowledge of the sites was impressive, and he shared everything with genuine enthusiasm that made the history come alive. Khalid was also incredibly thoughtful and accommodating throughout the tour. He was always attentive to our needs, flexible with our pace, and made sure we were comfortable at all times. One thing we especially appreciated was how keen he was to help us capture special moments—he went out of his way to take great photos for us, which made the experience even more memorable. Overall, Khalid is not only a fantastic guide but also a genuinely lovely person. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience in Luxor and would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, kind, and attentive guide.
Egypt is a one of a kind experience. You won’t get this anywhere else in the world. The tour guide, Hasam, was really good. He knew everything about the places we visited. I would definitely recommend.
Highly recommend this tour! Well planned out and we had enough time to see and take pictures. Did not feel rushed. Our guide Hassan explained everything well and was extremely patient and helpful. Enjoyed every moment.
We did this tour on Jan 26 as part of our family holiday and had a great experience. Our guide, Hassan, was excellent—very knowledgeable and clear in his explanations. We visited the tombs of King Tutankhamun, Ramses IV, and Merenptah, and everything was well organised. Transport, tickets, and site explanations were handled smoothly, making the whole process stress-free. Hotel pick-up and drop-off were included, and the local Egyptian lunch was enjoyed by the whole family. Highly recommended, especially with Hassan as the guide.
A great guide, we all had such a fun day and learned so much. I highly recommend.
Thank you Hassan for an unforgettable tour - valley of the kings. Karnak and Luxor temples. Your knowledge of Egyptian history - your passion and love of your homeland was truly inspiring. You taught us so very much - we wish you well and we highly recommend you to anyone wishing to book a private tour. Your warm smile - humour and perfect English made our trip unforgettable. We hope to see you again the next time we visit Luxor.
The tour was excellent, our guide Hassan was very knowledgeable, funny and accommodating. The vehicle was a new van. They customized the tour to our liking. Lunch at a local restaurant was delicious. Highly recommend this tour and guide.
Abdul and the drivers were just fantastic, he was very knowledgeable and was able to navigate all of the sites easily - all of the hassle removed and we could just enjoy seeing all of the historical places we wanted to see, as well as have good conversations with Abdul along the way
The experience included visiting all Luxor sites. I was really looking forward to learning all about them. The story telling abilities of the guide were quite poor. He was rushing and continually on the phone. He wanted to make the tour as short as possible and literally running through places. He was giving quite limited information - I don’t feel like I learned much from him at all. He didn’t bother to go down the tombs with us or anywhere else. He just gave us a very quick narration and then told us where to go on our own. He didn’t offer to take pictures of us. Compared to other tours the guides told us a lot more not just about the sites but about entire Egyptian history and life which was more engaging and interesting. The tour price was quite expensive for the experience we received.
———————/— It was the best tour! Our guide, Hassan, was very friendly, and even though his English was poor, he carefully communicated and explained things to us. He even cracked jokes to liven things up, and suggested route changes and various options. He also quickly accommodated requests to change the departure time due to a flight delay and to change the finish point. I highly recommend this tour!
Abdul was the best tour guide, hands down. He brought Egypt to life, and his passion for Egyptian history even captivated my children. Our experience in Luxor would have been totally different without Abdul. I left with memories that will last a lifetime, all due to him. Simply the best!
Hassan was a great guide, very knowledgeable. Took us to great places in Luxor. Lunch was very good, with a good spread. The van was very comfortable
This is a worth trip. Hassan is kids friendly. He is knowledgeable and a good English speaker. Wanted to visit here again
Hassan and the company provider help me to get an unforgettable experience here in Luxor. Hassan an Egyptologist is well versed in speaking English and Arabic. He is honest and knowledgeable. Punctuality and deep understanding on how child behaves.
Khalid was an exceptional Egyptologist who brought the Valley of the Kings, Karnak and Luxor Temple to life. The pace was perfect, the explanations were fascinating, and the lunch provided was absolutely delicious. A flawless private tour from start to finish.
Our guide Hassan was very knowledgable and not boring! Trip was very well planned and went smoothly. Driver was very good too. We throughly enjoyed our visit to Luxor
Hands down THE best tour guide we had in Egypt was Abdul! Punctual, friendly, knowledgeable very well mannered. Thank you Abdul for making our visit so memorable!
We had an excellent full-day tour in Luxor with our guide, Hassan, and it was a truly memorable experience for me and my parents. He speaks very good English, which made everything easy to understand and enjoyable. His knowledge of ancient Egyptian history is outstanding, and he explained the sites in a clear and fascinating way. What really stood out was his unique approach—he shared insights and details that made the history come alive, not just the usual explanations. The tour was also very comfortable, as we traveled in a new, clean van throughout the day. We felt well taken care of and would highly recommend him to anyone visiting Luxor.
We had a private full day tour with a very knowledgeable, friendly Mr. Hassan. Not only is he an expert on the history and monuments, he is a great teacher. He used a small white board to explain things, used picture postcards etc to help us visualize before we entered the Valley of kings! That made our tour so much more interactive and engaging. Absolutely loved the tour!
Hassan, our guide was knowledgeable and explained things very well. Very pleasant, courteous and patient. Gave us just the right amount of information. He is very proud of his Egyptian ancestry and passionately tells you about it.
Where do I start about this amazing tour and the guide Abod who made this the most amazing day EVER!! Our flight arrived early, and our driver Rama dan was already there waiting for us with an amazing attitude. We picked up Abod about 5 minutes away from the airport and we’re off on the best adventure of our whole time in Egypt! We had a wonderful little coffee and Egyptian breakfast and came up with our game plan for day! He was incredibly knowledgeable about every step of the tour. He is has so much knowledge about the tombs, hieroglyphics, Egyptian history and so much more. He was amazing at explaining everything in detail and he got my 17 year old daughter so interested and engaged her throughout the whole day. We have friends coming here later this year and we told them they can’t miss going on a tour with Abod!! We wish we had another day with him!
Abod was an amazing tour guide so much knowledge and did such a great job making it fun and interesting. We learned a ton about the area and saw so much beautiful history. 1st class service as well!
We had a lot of fun and learned a lot about the valley of the kings and Karnak. Basry our guide was very knowledgeable and kind. Only complaint was compared to other tours this one was not all encompassing meaning we had to buy our own tickets which means we occasionally had to wait in line. Basry was great highly recommend him as a guide
Excellent experience, 100% recommended and the guide (Abdul), very attentive all the time and very friendly. The food was very good and punctual in everything.
Absolutely a 5-star experience — no doubt about it. Our guide, Hassan, was incredibly professional and extremely knowledgeable. He explained every site in great detail and helped us truly understand the history of ancient Egypt. Our driver, Sayed, was also excellent — always punctual and ready whenever we needed him. The whole trip was butter smooth and perfectly organized. Highly, highly recommended!
Hassam is a talkative, knowledgable and patient tour guide. He took lots of good photo for me. If you are a solo tourist, strongly recommend this tour.
This tour was extremely well-organized. I appreciated the fact that Hassan picked us up at the time we requested - giving us about an hour to sleep in. Hassan was extremely efficient in planning the tour - he kept the maximum time for the best highlights : Valley of the Kings and Karnak temple. He also ensured we got ample photo and video opportunity and that we got a chance to see the magnificent sunset at Luxor temple. The lunch was amazing and Hassan's explanations of every place - the history, pharaohs, etc - was perfect. Thank you Hassan!

An unforgettable Luxor tour. My guide was incredibly knowledgeable and shared historical insights I’d never heard before. I learned so much, and the experience was truly enriching. Highly recommended.
Must do in Luxor. Hassan was knowledgeable, bringing every step to life with stories and history. Without him, we wouldn’t have known or seen half the experiences that really stood out. He knew more about Egyptian history and culture than the History Channel!! Don't just "check the box," really experience and understand the historical importance and history of Egypt. Hassan felt like family immediately. He was calm, well spoken and very professional. He guaranteed our safety from street vendors and scurried us around long lines which was invaluable. Normally I would be annoyed by “side stops” that many of the other tour guides do for kickbacks, but not him. He truly listened to our wants and needs. He made a special trip deep into Luxor near his home so that we could get real spices from a local family. Nothing else, and never no pressure. The food was some of the best on our trip. If nothing, you want this tour for the food!! It set the bar for the remainder of the restaurants, very friendly, great taste, ample portions, great view. Did I mention we have a ton of great pictures because of Hassan? I was worried about 8 hours, but we didn’t want my time with him to end. I wish I could carry him all over Egypt with me.

Lovely experience, highly knowledgeable and friendly guide Loved every second of the trip Thank you Hassan and for our driver for being patient
We had a wonderful day exploring Luxor with our guide Hasan and driver Abdul. Everything was well organized, and we felt comfortable and well taken care of throughout the tour. Hasan is a very knowledgeable Egyptologist who explained the history of each site clearly and with passion. We learned a lot about the temples, tombs, and daily life in ancient Egypt, and his stories made the places come alive without ever feeling rushed. Abdul was an excellent driver, safe, polite, and always ready with a smile and cold water. The car was clean and comfortable, which made the whole experience even better. Overall, it was a very enjoyable and educational tour. We highly recommend Hasan and Abdul to anyone visiting Luxor.
Our tour guide, Hassan, was very knowledgeable and provided us plenty of information throughout our guided tours. The lunch was delicious, authentic Egyptian cuisine.
