Here you visit 3 tombs of various dynasties. Your Egyptologist tour guide will be on hand to recommend and advise you as to which tombs to visit. After visiting the tombs you will be transported to the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, the only woman ever to reign over Egypt as pharaoh. After touring the sites you will be transferred back to your hotel by an air-conditioned vehicle . Day 2: On day two, there is a possibility of optional hot air ballooning over the Valley of the Kings Necropolis of Thebes West Bank (additional cost and weather permitting costs ar (100 USD)PP ). After breakfast you will be picked up from your hotel for a full guided trip of about 4 hours to Karnak in the East Bank of Luxor. Karnak is a complex of temples built in different reigns, starting with the Avenue of Sphinxes, the Hypostyle, the Obelisks of Queen Hatshepsut Temple of Amon adorned with lotus and papyrus designs, the Granite Scarbeus of Amenophis III. Karnak beats every other pharaonic monument: it is simply one of the most beautiful ancient monuments in Egypt. After Karnak you will be taken to Luxor Temple, which is dedicated to the Theben Triad of Amun-Ra, Mut and Khonsu. There you will see the granite statues of Ramses the Great. These ancient temples are a must-see for Luxor travelers. At every site you will get information from your Egyptologist tour guide and you will get free time to explore the ancient monuments by yourself. After touring the sites you will be transferred back to your hotel in Luxor.
in the morning you will be picked up from your hotel in central Luxor or harbor by an air-conditioned vehicle for a full guided trip of about 8 hours. First you will be transported to the Necropolis of Thebes, the Valley of the Kings on the West Bank of Luxor. This ancient necropolis is a must-see for Luxor travelers. There you visit four royal tombs, including the Tomb of Ramses, the Tomb of Horemheb, the Tomb of Merenptah .Valley of the Kings on the West Bank of Luxor.
The tomb of Ramesses III, designated as KV 11, is a complex system in the Valley of the Kings. It has been known since antiquity, the wonderful decorations include colourful painted sunken reliefs featuring the traditional ritual texts (Litany of Ra, Book of Gates etc) and Ramses before the gods. Unusual here are the secular scenes, in the small side rooms of the entrance corridor, showing foreign tributes, such as highly detailed pottery imported from the Aegean, the royal armoury, boats and, in the last of these side chambers, the blind harpists that gave the tomb one of its alternative names: ‘Tomb of the Harpers’
Tomb of King Ramesses lX was the third pharaoh of the Twentieth Dynasty of the New Kingdom of Ancient Egypt. His name prior to assuming the crown was Amonhirkhopshef. He was the fifth son of Ramesses III and was appointed to the position of crown prince by the twenty-second year of his father's reign when all four of his elder brothers predeceased his promotion to crown prince . The tomb has so much colour and detail even the ceiling above the sarcophagi with its goddess Nut stretching across the space. The sarcophagus is one of the largest in the valley, even though some of the paintings have deteriorated this is one of the most decorated.
In Egyptian mythology, Ptah is the demiurge of Memphis, god of craftsmen and architects. In the or simply in its falcon form of the new deity, began to be placed in tombs to accompany and protect the dead on their journey to the West of Luxor .Tomb 8, which is located in the Valley of the Kings, was the burial place of the Pharaoh Merneptah and is the model of royal tombs Merneptah was a son of Ramesses II and Queen Isis-Nofret.the tomb was discovered by Howard Carter in 1903. Of coursethere is a material decrease in the number of lateral rooms, and a dramatic increase in the height of the corridors and rooms. He did away with the jogged axis used since the time of Horemheb and instead built the entire tomb on a single axis. Also, for the first time, the entrance was made considerably wider than earlier tombs .
King Tutankhamun, the most famous king in the world. This young king from the New Kingdom was around 10 years old when he ascended the throne and died when he was only 19. You will get the chance to be face to face with his royal mummy in his tomb in the Valley of the Kings
After visiting the tombs you will be transported to the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut (Deir el Bahari), the only woman ever to reign over Egypt as Pharaoh. This queen was an ancestor of King Tutankhamun and belonged to the same dynasty.Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, the only woman ever to reign over Egypt as Pharaoh .
the Colossi of Memnon, the two largest ancient statues in Egypt, which date back to the era of King Amenhotep III.

This has been one of the best choices I made on my trip to Egypt: a fantastically curated private tour of Luxor's cultural treasures. I am not good with crowds of tourists, and despite being one myself, I consider the world's cultural treasures the responsibility of everyone who visits them. So, in general, my relationship with other tourists is not that good because of the lightness with which they behave and the irresponsibility and rudeness that they express in other nations and places. So, a private tour was just perfect. Luxor archeological treasures are a crown of Egyptian art and culture that must be seen at least once in your lifetime. My tour started by being picked up from my hotel in Cairo, brought to the airport and flying to Luxor, where I was expected by my tour guide, Marian Azer. I spent two days in Luxor and stayed overnight in the Luxurious Hilton Luxor. Those were two days full of learning and exchange of ideas and knowledge with my fantastic guide. The experience included the Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut Temple, the Colossus of Memnon, Karnak Temple Complex, and Luxor Temple Complex. Each one of those places would not have been as half as amazing without the expert guide of Marian Azer. Marian is an incredible professional Egyptologist. She is not only an encyclopedia of facts but also an amazing storyteller who is able to connect history with the monuments without making you feel like this is a school lesson. She was always attentive and extremely kind, always making sure the information was in the right amount to not overwhelm you. In my case, I am really an avid learner; I am a university scholar at Concordia and Ottawa Universities in Canada (neuroscientist, artist, educator), and questions are always being formulated in my mind. I have studied many of the places I visited on this trip, corroborated facts and get additional, a lot of amazing additional information, sometimes can be challenging, but Marien was always ready to answer and always prepared to walk the extra mile to provide quality content. We had such fantastic conversations. I discussed points that are usually hard to discuss in tours because the guides are scripted, but Marian really knows her subject. Additionally, she always allowed me time to explore by myself, which I also really appreciate since I can meditate on the place, its importance, its contributions, and how these monuments keep teaching us about ourselves and how to face modern-day challenges. Again, I appreciate that flexibility, something that you do not find in crowded tours with strict, tight schedules and people roaming around you. At the end of the second day, it was hard not to feel like I was talking to an old, very respected scholar friend. An extremely intelligent and knowledgeable person with vast knowledge and appreciation of Egyptian culture and its value. I would recommend this tour to anyone for the marvellous things you will see, but I would especially recommend this tour WITH Marian, to anyone who really wants the flexibility, knowledge, attention to detail, kindness, and professionalism that she brings to the table. You guys have a fantastic jewel in your guide arsenal. Congratulations, and thanks for it. Date of experience: April 26, 2024
Khalid was our guide, and he was fantastic, friendly and very knowledge. He explained in great detail the history at each site, we had plenty of time on our own to take pictures and browse at our leisure. Really recommend the 2-day guide as it gets really hot and too much to do in one day
Our guide, Mr. Ragab Ramadan took us over the two days and the whole experience was excellent. The driver picked us up at our hotel promptly and we picked up Mr. Ramadan on the way to the Valley of Kings. Mr. Ramadan was very sociable, with a great sense of humor, and his English was very fluent. His knowledge of the history was comprehensive. He was very responsive to our wishes and needs, and in addition to the sites, we were pleased with his choices of shops. The driver did a great job and was always nearby at the appointed times. Return to the hotel was on time as promised. We have been to Luxor on previous occasions, and this was by far the best tour we have taken.
We toured two days in Luxor with our guide, Mr. Ragab Ramadan. The tour was well planned with prompt pickup and return. Mr. Ramadan was very knowledgeable, providing historical information and answering questions. He was also very accommodating and responsive to our wishes and needs. He was quite sociable with a great sense of humor and seemed to enjoy his work. We have been to Luxor on previous occasions, and this was the best tour we have taken.
I had the most wonderful two days with our guide Mr. Amin. First day we went to the West Bank, he advice us on which tomb to enter and gave us a very clear and easy to understand explanation. He’s extremely knowledgeable and very relaxed. He never rushed us anywhere we went. He was the best guide we had, and we been on alotttt of tours, he was the best. We also went to kings’s Seti and King Tut’s tombs, was an amazing experience. After that we went to Hatshepsut temple, then queen’s valley, went to Nefertari’s tomb, one word to describe the experience, AMAZING. Colors were still so vivid. So beautiful, the best tomb we went all day. The second day we went to Habu temple, here our guide showed us many secret places and many cool ancient Graffiti. And also gave us funny and good fun facts. Then we went to Karnak temple and Luxor temple, amazing places. I tell u if u have a chance, request for Mr. Amin, he came prepared with paper slide shows to explain you the stories and amazing fun fact u can’t find on the internet. I really really had a wonderful time touring in both 2 days. Thanks to you Mr. Amin.
Very friendly, helpfull agency, 5* for the organisation of the ballontrip, the guided 2 days to the Temple of Luxor and Karnak, the Hatschepsut Temple, Deir al Medina and and and... I'll never forget These 2 Werkstatt in egypt! Thx to all of you!
Our guide Hamdi was a very friendly person with a huge knowledge of the Egyptian history and major sites around Luxor. Also the driver was very professional and there was no waiting time at all. Thanks again for two fantastic days in beautiful Luxor
What a beautiful couple of days we had. Definitely our highlight of the whole trip to Egypt, thanks first and foremost to Khaled, our guide and Madani, our driver. Both days started at 8am. The first day we visited the valley of Kings (4 tombs, among which one extra - Ramses V and VI) and the temple of Hatshepsut. Khaled explained to us the history of Egypt in pills from the most ancient to the most recent. It was a very nice introductory talk, that led later to a very much detailed explanation of what we were going to see. When we reached the sites he told us what to focus on when we were entering each tomb, as guides are not allowed to enter inside. At the exit of each tomb he was showing us the meaning of the things we saw. In Hatshepsut temple he was able to come with us. The second day we went to Karnak temple (THE HIGHLIGHT OF EGYPT for us) and Luxor temple. Also on this day, we were left with mind blowing explanations and fun facts about what we were seeing. It really made our whole experience a thousand times better than what it could have been. Khaled is the best guide! And if you’re not convinced, he also takes AMAZING pictures with no one behind you, although in reality there are entire groups of tourists (i.e.: the photo of us surrounded by the columns - it was full of people!!) 😂😂 jokes apart, book this tour, ask for Khaled and Madani and you’d never regret it!
We had a great time with Hassan (great conversation and historical guide) and Ahmed the driver (bravo for driving so well) as well as Ragab organizing at the background. Our flights were changed, the team picked us up at the airport, stopped over at our hotel so we could drop bags and have a bite before we started the tour. To experience the history and monuments with a great guide will always be memorable.
Ameen was an excellent guide. He explained things very clearly and was very patient with all of our questions. Hiw English was excellent.
Our tour with Luxor Travel was 5 stars. Ameen, the tour guide, was knowledgeable, clear, and patient with all of our questions. His English was excellent and we heartily recommend him as a tour guide.
We found the tour here and cannot be happier with how great it was. Hamdy Gad was knowledgeable and passionate about egyptian history. We hit all the main sites, but opted to pay more for valley of queens and extra areas in Karnak. I suggest you do the same as it is best to beat the crowds. Hamdy and his driver Sharif timed our arrivals appropriately to minimize our exposure to mass tourists. The area is overwhelming but at the end of day reflecting on images reminds you just how impressive this area is. Book with this tour operator and ask for Hamdy. You will not be disappointed.
We had amazing two days in Luxor with our excellent guide Ameen! West bank is amazing, we were especially looking for to see Tutankhamon's tomb. We also got to see some extra sites, like the lost golden city and Ramses III temple. East bank was very interesting as well with all the temples and Luxor museum.
We had an amazing experience with Hamdy. He was extremely knowledgeable on every aspect of the sites we visited, and we felt we were in good hands. The tour was well organized, on time, and covered the most interesting places in Luxor. We added on a stop at the Valley of the Queens for a small fee, which I highly recommend as the tomb of Nefertari is very well preserved. All in all, a highly enjoyable tour!
Wow. Ragab with Luxor Travels was an absolute gem. Very organized. Always prompt. Extremely knowledgeable about the area. We had a group of 8, including two toddlers and two teens. Ragab was funny, kind and just a wealth of information. He kept everyone engaged at all times. Our group felt safe and taken care of at all times. Ragab and the drivers were with us throughout our stay in Luxor. From airport pickup to our daily tours. Everything was handled. I cannot imagine navigating the streets or touring on our own. We were truly able to relax and enjoy learning about the city without worrying about navigation or finding the right place to eat. I 100% would recommend Luxor Travels and Ragab to anyone looking forward to a trip to Luxor.
An amazing two days in the Valley of the Kings and Luxor with a great guide. He was very enthusiastic and shared his wide knowledge of Egyptian history. He was on time both days to meet us and also recommended the best tombs to visit and showed us his favourite parts of Luxor Temple. King Tut's tomb and Karnak both blew our minds.
Everything was going great. Guide was offering options about things to do the next day… he told me he was going to bribe the guards… his friends.. at the entrances… so we didn’t need to show student cards. No prob. The kids are legit students … day 1 great… day 2 he and the driver pull off the highway and tell us we need to pay $400usd extra for the driver and guide and entrance fees. No prob on fees - that was part of the Viator add…That the stops they suggested were not included and so I needed to pay for the time for the car and guide. Initially I said okay… so we stopped at the mummification museum the ticket was $100 Egyptian- the guide was not allowed in and asked for $20 per person… the other stops he wanted similar $$$$ for… I felt afraid… was he going to rob us. Why now is he wanting $$$. I intend to upload the full Viator add so you can read for yourself what was included in the tour … you can judge. My kids felt afraid… and there isn’t a refund in the world to take that back. Book elsewhere
I can’t recommend this tour highly enough. Our guide Hassan was friendly, laid back, knowledgeable, considerate of our needs, and a great story teller. You can trust his judgement about which sites to visit if you have limited time. I think he gets to know what you like right away and can recommend what’s best for you if you don’t have a plan already picked out. We felt safe and really well taken care of with both our driver (also named Hassan) and our guide. We were blown away by the enormous temples and the incredible tombs. The whole experience was fantastic and we feel we made new good friends in both our driver and guide.
Our tour guide Hagag Amine was absolutely fantastic and very knowledgeable. The temples in Luxor are definitely worth the trip and I would also say don't miss the balloon ride because it was so much fun.
I booked the tour for my husband and me, the experience with the tour was good I should recommend the guide Khalid he was very well prepared with all the explanations. Besides something that we didn't like was the fact to have to give a tips, the first day of the tour we didn't gave any tip because we already pay for the tour and I got a WhatsApp message suggesting us to do gratuity for the guide and the driver and I felt that was a complain and basically you feel forced to give any tip, I suggest to the company provide better salary to the people who work with, because the tourist already pay for a tour that has the guide and the driver included, the well care of the employees is for luxor travels no for the tourist because is a service the company should provide.
Had a lovely tour with Mahmoud Haggag. He was knowledgeable, explained all the sites we were about to see and left us time to enjoy. We saw valley of the kings, an alabaster workshop and Hatshepsut’s temple on day one, then Karnak and Luxor temples with a stop at a spice shop on day two. We were with our not-always-cooperative three year old, but Mahmoud was flexible and happy to make some last minute changes to the plans. Definitely recommend having a guide, you can get much more out of the experience!
Hassan was very friendly and informative he gave us lots of detailed and interesting information about the Temples and places we visited. He allowed us time on our own to also browse for ourselves. In 2 days we managed to see all of the main places but if you want to visit Valley of the Queens and Habu Temple you would need to pay extra. Overall really happy with both our driver and Hassan.
We just had an awesome Luxor tour. We travel frequently but rarely write reviews. This one definitely was top of the line. Well organized and so customized and tailored to us. By far the best and most memorable time we ever had. The tour guide Ragab and his team were so knowledgeable about Luxor and Egypt history. At the same time they went way beyond what’s expected and offered to accommodate us to the minute details. My family and I enjoyed it so much and definitely would do it again.
The tour was OK - we got picked up and dropped off at the right place and time, and have stopped at all the places listed in the itinerary. Aside from this, nothing made the tour stand out beyond average. We have received one bottle of water each on the first day and none on the second so be sure to bring your own water. On the first day we have seen the Valley of the kings and the Temple of Hatshepsut. In the car on the way there the guide has told us that the origin of the word pyramid comes from Egyptian words Py-Ra-Mid and told us what that means, however that’s entirely not true because the word pyramid comes from the Greek word “pyramis” and was used by the Greeks to describe the Egyptian pyramids. Suffice it to say, he lost credibility with us before stepping out of the vehicle. At the Valley of the Kings he pulled out a bunch of pictures and was “guiding” us by telling us about what’s on the pictures as apparently he was not allowed to enter the tombs with us. At the Temple of Hatshepsut he was allowed to explore the temple with us since other groups definitely went in with their guides however ours preferred to stay in the shade of the cafeteria and let us explore the temple on our own. On the second day my wife wasn’t feeling well so only I participated in the tour. We went to the Temples of Karnak which is a huge roughly cross-shaped complex with a designated 2 hour stop on the itinerary. We got into about the middle of it with the guide and he provided me with some high level information and then after no more than half an hour gave me some time to roam the complex on my own and asked if 15 minutes would be all I need. I was a little taken by surprise since we haven’t even seen half of it yet so I asked for about another half an hour. As I was exploring the complex on my own, I saw two blocks with ancient text that was nothing like anything else in the complex. It was definitely carefully written text and not just some graffiti yet totally different from anything else and so I took a picture of it to ask my guide about it later. He seemed to not have any clue what he was looking at and just told me about different types of texts that existed in the ancient times. In any case, as I was exploring the complex I soon realized that the additional half hour I’ve asked for was not nearly going to be enough. I’ve checked the itinerary and confirmed that the stop was scheduled for 2 hours not one and so I stayed for another hour. I had no way of contacting the guide and he was a little upset about me having taken so long, even though I stayed entirely within the scheduled time. We did not travel half way around the world for a tour guide to cut our experience in half. It’s bad enough he wasn’t there to actually guide us most of the time. At the Luxor Temple my experience was about the same. I enjoyed most of my stay there exploring the temple on my own, listening to other guides explain things to their groups while my guide was sitting outside of the temple in the shade of the trees. I suggested to him that we have paid for two people at two temples and only one participated and so I’ve asked if I could get two tickets from him for one of the two temples for the following day so I could return with my wife. He wanted to deal about this “away from the company” and just between him and I as a personal favor. When I explained that I’m not asking for a personal favor but simply for the company to deliver the value for which I paid for, he told me that he will contact the company and see what he can do, and then in the end just gave me cash for the value of the unused tickets - a bit of a saving grace, perhaps.
Ragab was wonderful, very accommodating and extremely attentive. He was detailed on his explanation and gave as much free time as one would like. He also arranged pickup/drop off at the airport and hotel without any problem. Thank you for everything.
The tour and our guide Khalid was amazing. Our transportation to Luxor was delayed and the company was lovely and picked us up from the new location and waited for us. Then we immediately headed to the West Bank to see the tombs in the Valley of the Kings and Hatshepsut Temple. Khalid provided us with some general history as well as information on the specific tombs we visited and provided excellent recommendations for extra tombs to visit. The second day we started off at Karnak Temple and got there when it was cooler and less busy and learned about the giant complex before being allowed to walk around the complex by ourselves for a bit. Khalid stopped and translated some hieroglyphs for us too. Luxor Temple was the last stop and we were able to see the newly restored as the Avenue of Sphinxes. Khalid was very helpful and keen to answer questions. He also has no problems stopping for extra breaks for A/C or the bathroom. They also had extra water in a cooler in the car for us. Overall, would definitely recommend.
We booked the tour online, once arrived in Luxor Mr. Ragab promptly informed us on the logistic of the tour. Ragab took us in the King’s Valley, Hatshepsut temple, the Luxor and Karnak temple. During our visit he explained to us the practices of ancient Egypt and ha also taught us how to read some of the Hieroglyphs! In addition, Mr. Ragab arranged for us the felluca ride at sunset and the hot air ballon flight at sunrise, both experiences are a must during your stay in Luxor! You will definitely fall in love with the city of Luxor and Mr. Ragab is the person will help you to discover every corner of it! I definitely recommend him! He is an accomplished guide and well prepared Egyptologist that will make your stay in Luxor a real life experience.
Ahmed was a awesome tour guide! He is full of knowledge. I asked him multiple questions throughout our tour and he was able give us good insight. Has great passion for Egyptian culture. He is fluent in German and English. Had him do a small piece for my German mother-in-law and he was all for it! Provided great advice and recommendations. Also, he is a great photographer! If you’re looking for a tour guide/photographer ask for Ahmed he will get the best angles. We had Mohamed as our driver. He provided great service. Was always really diligent to be ready to pull the car around and pick us up from the different sites. Thank you.
We toured The Valley of the Kings, the Valley of the Queens, and the Karnak and Luxor Temples with Rajab. His familiarity with the area and years of experience meant we got in-depth explanations about the two sites and their history. He was willing to answer our many questions and we appreciated his sense of humor too. The whole tour went great and felt fair, though when we tipped the driver on the second day tried to demand an extra fee for the privilege of being dropped off at the end of the tour.
Rajab was a very courteous and helpful tour guide. He arrived on time, and had a good sense of humor. The transportation was clean and comfortable. The information was interesting. I would recommend Rajab as a tour guide.
Khalid is an amazing guide, with a deep knowledge of Egyptology, who can answer any and all questions that you have about the sites. His masters degree is in Hieroglyphics, and he taught us how to read them, and was more than happy to interpret any that we had questions about. He also allowed us to take our time at each site, and at no point did we feel rushed. Overall we had an amazing time and this tour was one of the highlights of our trip to Egypt. And Khalid knows the best (and most creative) photo spots!
Khalid did a great job of showing us the east and west banks. Unforgettable experience and we have some great photos to remember it all by.
Abdul was a legendary guide - so cool to have a guide that has made discoveries of his own and is so passionate about Egyptian history!
Abdul was an awesome guide! The best tour we had in Egypt was by far with him! Very knowledgeable!l guide!
It's rare to get an actual archaeologist who knows deeply about the subject matter, is passionate about the history and culture of the place and keeps you entertained through his humor. But that's exactly what we got with Abdul as our guide. For 2 days, we traveled through Luxor and visited places including Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut Temple, Luxor / Konark Temples, and local monuments and it was a blast. I would recommend Abdul to everyone I know and you are in great hands if you get him as your guide.
Abdul is amazing, so knowledgeable and friendly. Thank you for a great visit to Luxor! I love how passionate he is about Egyptian history and has so much knowledge and experience regarding the sites.
Abdul was our tour guide for the two days and was by far the best guide we had! He was knowledgeable and thorough and patient with our entire group of 14 people! We did the entire west bank on the first day and spent a few hours on the east bank on the second day. Abdul made sure he picked up all the tickets and got us to all the spots on time.
Abdul was an excellent guide! Very funny and entertaining while training us all in some fascinating facts about the sights, we enjoyed our time with him very much.
Abdul was extremely knowledgeable and so kind to us. You're in good hand with him! We had such a good time!
You can not miss this one day tour! We had Khaled as our tour guide and he is amazing! He is incredibly knowledgeable about all sights in Luxor and really can answer all your questions. On top he is a very kind and humble person. The tour itself was spectacular. Try to visit the tomb of Ramses 5,6 in The Valley of the king to get the full picture of the colors and designs. Impressive! If you visit the Alabaster stone factory, you need to divide the price by 10 minimum. It’s a typical tourist shop for big tours. Would definitely book the tour again with Khaled. Thank you!
Abdul, the educator, (I call him) is very knowledgeable about the history of ancient pharaohs and queens! He was simply the BEST tour guide and very thoughtful! He was always willing to step in and help translate with locals when we needed to purchase something. Gave us ample time to take pictures & videos without rushing us through. I love the respect he displays towards these priceless monuments; there are many “guides” you can find for cheap in Egypt to walk around with you but there are few that are as knowledgeable & as great as Abdul. I had the pleasure of celebrating my birthday with him and he went out of his way to make my day even better with a surprise birthday cake on the Nile River! We had him for two days but we started our tour has strangers but left as brothers! God bless you Abdul and thank you so much for loving what you do!!!
I don't believe five stars is enough to give this tour, Abdul has been an amazing guide who became a friend to my husband and I over the course of the day. He is incredibly knowledgeable and that wealth of information kept us engaged the entire time. It was my husband's birthday and everyone really went above and beyond to make it super special. I can't thank Abdul and the team for this experience. We look forward to recommending this company & Abdul to anyone we know coming to Luxor.
The tour was great. We did a two day tour of the sites of Luxor. Ahmed Awad was our tour guide, and he was a per wealth of knowledge and prospective. He not only showed us the site but helped to gain a better fundamental understanding of what we were looking at and why things were done in the matter in which they were. The sites of Luxor are incredible and more then worth the cost of admission. The valley of the kings and huge and you could easily spend days at that location alone. The Karnak and Luxor sites are huge and really will make you question what you think you understand of our ancient past. Once you have completed your tours, they can arrange for you to go to other sites or museums if you would like. The tour is very nice but the guide is what makes it.
I had the pleasure to have Regab as my tour guide. He was very knowledgeable and informative throughout all the sights we have seen.
UNBELIEVABLE! Day 1 was with Khalid and day 2 was spent with Saber! Both guides are absolutely amazing! Anyone booking this trip would be lucky to have either one! They both know soooooooo much about the history of Egypt and took the time to explain everything to ensure we understood what we were seeing. We booked the private tour because we enjoy having the flexibility with time but if you are looking for an amazing tour of Luxor, this is the one to book with either if these gentlemen! I travel quite a bit and rely on traveler reviews to book my tours. Sadly, our tour guide in Cairo was not very good. As a foreigner, these tours are always hit or miss. Let me tell you, this was a HIT! A special thanks to Saber for inviting us to enjoy some local Egyptian food in the evening! It was truly a pleasure! Don’t miss the Hawawshi while you’re here. It’s delicious! I HIGHLY recommend this Tour and this company! So much so, we have booked two additional tours with them in Aswan. THANKS AGAIN TO KHALID, SABER, AND LUXOR TOURS!
I am a travel agent that recently traveled to Egypt and used Luxor Travels for our trip to Luxor. I will HANDS DOWN be sending future clients on tours with this company. I’m a hard critic too. We fit SO much stuff into a short amount of time that I can’t believe how reasonable the price was. They were professional, knowledgeable, fun and incredibly friendly. They made us feel very safe as well! Their vehicles are incredibly clean and comfortable. Cannot say enough about them! Ragab was phenomenal! Highly highly recommend.
Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, Value First and foremost he was on time and professional. Second, he was understanding about all our little Knicknacks that we needed on the way to the site: -Lady hygiene stuff -Forgot to change money into local currency (he was chill about it anddd found us a local currency exchange at a very fair rate) -needed to change clothes in the car -stop by the market for drinks en route —— Needless to say, he was an allstar and that stuff. —- Now about the actual tour, So knowledgeable, and so precise. Also , super flexible to the varying speeds and interests of everyone on the tour. He was also really respectful to other tour guides. As you can imagine they’re all competing for airtime and silence at the sites, super classy. He’s also fun!!!!!! So when you’re in Egypt, and you know you’re having trust issues with people around you, he is the person you can trust. Totally reasonable prices!!! I’d get him 100/100 times. I would too if I were you. Services: City tours, Private tours, Group tours
Amazing tour! We enjoyed every moment of the day with our tour guide Khaled. He was very knowledgeable and passionate about Egyptian history. Khaled was also patient, flexible and understands tourists needs. We got to know a lot about Egyptian culture and amazing Luxor temples. We can really recommend this tour to everyone who wants to avoid the hassle of organising the trip by themselves.
Wow what an amazing 3 days we had with Khalid! We visited all the major sights in Luxor together with Khalid and had an amazing experience! Khalid (our guide) was incredibly knowledgeable, kind and entertaining while describing the wonders of ancient Egypt to us. He gave us valuable insight on the past as well as reflecting on the Egypt of today. Our driver and car were also great, and the level of English of both guide and driver were excellent. They also helped us organize our PCR test and took me to a pharmacy when I was unwell from the food. We learned so much and will certainly be recommending this private tour to our family and friends!
