Private Half-day Tour To Karnak & Luxor Temples From Luxor

The tour exceeded my expectations and I was blown away by the amount of history preserved at the Karnak Temple in particular. Our guide Demiana was very knowledgeable and patient. She explained the history of the temples as well as the importance and significance of different elements of the temples. I would definitely recommend this tour and Demiana as a tour guide, particularly if you're keen to know more about the history of the temples.

Incredible!! Our guide Abanoub Nazmi, nickname Bebo, was amazing. From the start his attitude and welcoming demeanor made us feel at ease and hopeful for our tour, which turned out amazing. He was insightful and extremely knowledgeable and made following Egyptian history uncomplicated. Bebo took the time to allow us to rest, take all the pictures we wanted and pointed out small things one would miss that tie Egyptian history together. We had a guide earlier in our trip,in Cairo, and although they had their style, we wish we would have had Bebo there and the rest of our trip. Thank you Bebo. We highly, highly recommend him.

Amazing day out with Remon our guide seeing both Karnak and Luxor temples. Easy a on time pickup with great communication before our trip so we knew everything we needed to be ready. Remon knew so much about the temples, Egyptian history and Luxor itself, which really made or trip special. We were given plenty of time to wander around the temples on our own as well. Lunch included which was great too! Highly recommend nice tours and asking for Remon as a guide!

We had a great half-day private tour of Karnak and Luxor Temples with Salma as our tour guide. She was friendly and extremely knowledgeable. Our driver Mahmoud was also fantastic. He went above and beyond what was expected of him when he helped me navigate a very busy post office so I could buy postage stamps for my postcards. Overall, we were very satisfied with this tour thanks to Salma and Mahmoud.

Our guide Demi was very good and knowledgeable and showed us around well. we wanted to spend more time in Karnak temple than luxor temple and we would have appreciated if she could have made that small change in the tour

Mena oweda my guide was amazing, he answer all of my questions and was gentle. The driver was amazing also, they pick me up punctual and drive really good! I would definitely do it again. The place wasn’t that crowded because I went at 2 PM so I could definitely take good pictures.

Our guide’s (Bola Salah) English was OK. Actual tour time in temples was rather short. He could have explained the sites, history, and city more in detail. It felt like we spent more time in overpriced shops and restaurant (e.g., waited 15 mins in an empty papyrus store, and overpriced oil fragment store called Elite academy of aromatherapy). Then we shortly stopped at Luxor temple. The lunch was in a tourist trap restaurant (Sunset cafe) by the nile. The view was nice but the food was average, and place was not very clean. Two guava drinks costed 9 USD. Overall, the tour was cheap-ish but we could have organized it ourselves with a local driver/guide. One of the weakest tours we attended in Egypt, as other tours were much better in terms of information and lack of intrusive stops.

I went to Karnak temple at 11:30 am, which was a huge mistake as it was 45 degrees Celsius! The guide, Salma, walked with me for ten minutes and then told me I could walk in my own for thirty minutes. Then, a temple worker asked me for a tip because he suggested that I take a photo from a certain spot! Since the heat was too overbearing, I decided to go to Luxor Museum instead. But before I visited a shop to get some souvenirs. The vendor tried to rip me off and my tour guide, Salma, could see that the vendor was trying to rip me off and she intervened. Salma walked me out of that tricky situation and found me a more reasonable vendor. In addition, she drove me to Luxor temple and got me a to go meal.

Great tour! Alaa Hassan was our guide today, he was super welcoming and friendly. We felt very comfortable with him too. He was super informative and had a lot of extra stories to tell. We had a good time and are looking forward to our next tour with him.

We had an excellent experience with Beshoy. He was incredibly knowledgeable and provided fascinating insights into the history, culture, and significance of every site we visited. Mohammad has 3 masters degrees under his belt! He is full of knowledge and able to teach you on many subjects. He will ask your preferences like focusing on history or mythology or culture...you pick, he will craft the tour to your interests. The tour was worth way more than his modest price. Definitely chose this companybtondeliver. They picked us up from a remote west bank boutique hotel (Jewel Howard Carter, also amazing) and delivered more than promised. Enjoy an intro to Luxor from someone born and educated in the mysteries of Egypt!

I took the tour (admission fees included at the time of booking) with the guide Amr through Karnak and Luxor Temples. He is very well-informed and engaging. The guide and driver are patient and accommodating. The temples are astounding to visit, and you must visit them if you are in Luxor. The temple is not overcrowded, but be aware that it was hot even in May so bring a hat and sun protection.

My wife and I had a lovely experience with our guide aya and driver. Clear communication and was there on time as organised! Provided information and also let us enjoy on our own after explaining important things to us which made it even better!

Overall experience was terrible. You get almost double charged end of trip. You will pay a lot. Buy it and have a bottle of water at the end. You will see. Good luck and never again. Also customer service doesnt care at all

I had a great experience at the private Half-Day tour to Karnak and Luxor temple. My tour guide Samah was amazing. She had so much knowledge about the temples and took her time going through the temples. Spoke English well and also was willing to take pictures to help me catch the memories forever. Was an amazing experience!

Worthless experience. Both the driver Michael and guide Roman were unprofessional. They were hurrying up for everything. Michael doesn’t follow English like all other tour drivers we booked through you!! And the guide’s spoken English was half understandable. But asking him second time was received with strong looks or even not so happy response. So, we didn’t quite follow most of what he explained. Lastly this had lunch included. The guide Roman left us with this rude driver Michael who can’t speak English and the driver won’t let us finish our food. Even water wasn’t given. Had to buy that from my pocket with exorbitant price. Money should be refunded. Money wasted.

Our guide Ghada, arrived on time at the hotel and we started with Karnak Temple. However, our online ticket, bought from Viator, would not go through the gate (apparently they have this problem before). They had to call security who then contacted the ticket providor by telephone before it would be accepted. Ghada dealt with the problem efficiently and even contacted the ticket office at Luxor ahead so that we would not have the same problem again. She was extremely knowledgeable and interesting and she had our grandson hooked, who loves Egyptian history.

Our guide, Ghada, arrived in time at the hotel for the tour which started at Karnak Temple. When we got there, there was a problem with our tickets at the gate, apparently because they were bought on line (through Viator), they wouldn't be accepted at the electronic gate. Odd. However Ghada dealt with the issue efficiently and we were through. Ghada was so knowledgeable and interesting, our grandson loved the whole experience.

The worst tour ever!! I write this so no other tourists go through this.The guy who picked us up didn’t speak English so it took long to identify him, I had to approach him and ask him who was he picking up, 10 min later we pick up the guide who did speak some English. Despite his effort to give us a good tour his lack of not just English but knowledge was evident. Then he told us we were going to a shop to look at some stuff but we said no cause we had gone through that with another tour th day before, he said then lunch cause it was included and maybe after that the shops to which I said no shops, then they started arguing and shouting all the way, it seems like the driver really wanted us to go to the shops and the guide insisted, at that point I asked him to take us back to the hotel and he said lunch was included, I insisted to take us to the hotel and they did, however, they were arguing all the way, and then he asked me to please tip the driver cause he was mad, of course I tip both of them to avoid any trouble.

I had a disappointing experience with this tour and would advise others to book with caution. Firstly, the tour advertised an Egyptologist guide, which was a key reason I chose it. However, the guide provided did not meet that expectation and did not seem to have the level of expertise implied. Secondly, there were issues with the pickup arrangement. I had clearly requested a 2:00 PM pickup from the West Bank. Despite this, the driver arrived about 40 minutes early and insisted that we leave immediately. When I requested a brief 10-minute window to step out to a nearby shop, the driver was unwilling to wait and left, saying he would return. Shortly after, I was informed by the tour operator that the driver would not be coming back, and I was asked to make my own way to the meeting point. This meant I had to travel from the West Bank on my own, which was both inconvenient and not what was agreed upon. Overall, the coordination and communication were not handled well, and the experience did not meet expectations. I would recommend confirming details very clearly in advance or considering alternative operators.

If you want an incredible experience with a guide who will explode with information that immersed you in the history of the Luxor and Karnak temple, you must book your visit with Gabriel. He was intelligent, funny and patient, as he was very generous with his knowledge and very charismatic.
