About Activity
Our guide meets you at the hotel, followed by a drive to the Valley of the Kings. Explore the royal tombs carved deep into the mountains to protect them from ancient tomb robbers, including burial sites of powerful pharaohs such as Ramses II and Thutmose III. Continue to the magnificent Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut, a stunning terraced temple built into the limestone cliffs, dedicated to one of ancient Egypt’s most influential female pharaohs. Proceed to the Valley of the Queens, the burial ground of royal wives, princes, and princesses, featuring around 70 decorated tombs. Next, visit the Valley of the Artisans, the ancient village where the skilled workers who built and decorated the royal tombs once lived. Continue to the impressive Medinet Habu Temple, one of Egypt’s best-preserved mortuary temples, built for Pharaoh Ramses III and known for its monumental reliefs and massive stone walls. End the excursion with a photo stop at the iconic Colossi of Memnon, the towering statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III that have guarded the Theban necropolis for over 3,000 years. After the tour, return to your hotel.
