Private Full-day Luxor Tour To East And West Banks

Luxor is a wonderful city and holds the biggest number of archeological sites in Egypt so it definitely worths a visit. Karnak temple and the royal tombs in The valley of the kings were so mesmerizing and really put together all the history and knowledge we got from previously visiting Cairo. So far so good but our tour guide Mohammed was unfortunately a disaster. I honestly hold nothing personal to him but if I knew this in advance, I would rather spend the day seeing the monuments on my own. I am an English teacher and obviously fluent, so I was massively disappointed when I realized that Mohamed COULDN’T SPEAK ANY ENGLISH. He literally was unable to form any sentence that made sense, didn’t understand any of the questions we were asking and struggled a lot to express himself. This was a complete bummer and totally destroyed our experience as we were truly interested to know about Egyptian civilization and history but were left with little to zero information. I tried to inform the travel agency about our experience but they only informed the guide while he was still with us that made things extra awkward and uncomfortable without obviously having the option to change anything at that point. Other than the language barrier part, we booked a full day trip with many locations to be covered and we generally got the impression that he got tired very fast and was rushing into things and skipping locations/information just to finish our day the soonest possible. Our driver was kind and pleasant and could definitely speak way better English than the guide which was even more tragic.

We have booked this tour for 27th May.. The tour guide did turn up at scheduled time at 6 am. He was having good knowledge.. The problem is that these people try to con the tourist by taking them to some shops that are also conniving to con you. They took us to 2 shops. This was not in scheduled program.. They take you on their own and force you to go to these shops. While there were many Souvenir shops at sites that we visited, Ahmad did not allow time to see anything... He kept pressing hard for time. Strangely these guys spent more than an hour of the tour on two con shops rather than at sites. These shops pretend to be Government establishment and say they will issue genuine goods certificate.. One of the shops was of Papherus painting shops. We bought 2 painting at USD 80.. Later at our hotel which was a 5 star property, there was a souvenir shop which was selling the same painting at USD 20.. In market we could get them at USD 8.. So something that costs USD was sold to us at 80 USD through a setup that has been made to con you.. Viator should immidiatly ban such businesses else they are becoming part of the scam.

It was a great memorable trip. As an Architect who studied history of Egyptian architecture, it was dream come true in visiting Abu Simble.

I will start with the basics. My wife, son, and I toured the East and West banks with Khaled over several days. Khaled speaks perfect English and was always at our hotel BEFORE the agreed upon time, which I absolutely loved. It was a great start to the day. Upon going to the different sites, we would give Khaled the money to buy tickets and he took care of everything for us. I know he was not overcharging us because I would see the prices of the tickets and would get the correct change. Upon arriving at the different sites, we would get the right balance of tour and free time to walk around. On top of that he would also know the best spots to take family pictures. He would stop us (but not too much) and take some amazing shots. I do not know what else I could have asked from him. Khaled started as a my family's tour guide but we departed as friends. For Americans concerned about safety, I always felt safe. We were smart about our surroundings but never uncomfortable.

Had an amazing experience with Khaled as my tour guide. He was very knowledgeable about all the places that he took us to and had no problem answering any question that we had. Would definitely go on another tour with him next time I'm in Egypt.

Our time in Luxor was great and we are certain that it was thanks to our tour guide Khaled, as three girls alone, we were a bit nervous to go out by ourselves but with this company and Khaled you can be 100% certain that you’ll have a safe and wonderful time! We did 1.5 days Luxor tour covering East and West Bank. As suggested by our guide Mr. Hatem we did Valley of Nobles too. And it was an amazing experience. The guide is master of his subject and was explaining in the best way. The photo is of my husband and the guide walking down valley of Nobels and having deep discussion.

The staff of agent gave me one of most wonderful day in my life. My first visit to Egypt was so much safe and with full of fun because of him. Not only visiting historical places I could learn a lot of history and backgrounds of each site. I can highly recommend this tour.

I travelled with my best friend and we had an amazing time visiting Luxor and Aswan. First we visit Aswan, were we met our guide, Khaled. He knows a lot about Egyptian history so it was very interesting to travelled with him. After that we visit Luxor on a cruise and it was super nice. The guide was very kind with us and he recommended some tipical food to eat so it was a nice gesture from him. I absolutely recommend visiting those places

I can't say enough about Khalid, Hamdy, and their team! We were very ambitious in what we wanted to do and the team made it all happen with kindness, patience and knowledge! We went on a great tour through the Temple of Karnak and The Luxor Temple in Egypt today! We used Luxortourguide.com for our touring service and I couldn't be happier that we did. Our tour guide accompanied us to Karnak Temple, Valley of the kings and Temple of Queen Hatshepsut. He was extremely competent and knowledgeable guide. His explanation about the Egyptian history was really great and easy to understand.

We only had 2 days in Luxor but our fabulous tour guide, Khaled, made sure that we saw everything we wanted to see. A knowledgeable and friendly guy. We couldn’t have asked for better!

Highly satisfied and will definitely recommend. We arrived Luxor from Cairo in wee hours of the morning. The train came late and Khaled has been patiently waiting in the station for us. Unfortunately, we cant get checked in to our hotel until 11am which is a bit of inconvenience as we need to get ourselves refreshed before starting our hectic tours. Khaled, spoke to the hotel and was able to arrange for us to use the facilities without any problem! I was so relieved and thankful for his doing. Fantastic. Combines fact with comedy seamlessly. Turned up on time- told you everything you needed to know with a twist of comedy- ideal for a tourist. Khalid recommended 3 tombs in the valley of kings- i wasn’t sure so visited 10- needless to say i was wrong. The finale was the tomb of hot- chicken- soup: khalid was right on the money there too. Sit back, relax, luxor was the highlight if my egypt tour thanks to khalid.

Had an excellent holiday in Egypt with excellent guided tours from Khalid. Went to several locations over a few days on both the west and east banks around Luxor, visiting locations such as: Karnak, Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut Temple, Medinat Habu, Ramesseum, Deir El-Medina and a Nile trip on a felucca. Khalid also arranged for us to go on some trips further afield to Abydos and Dendara. Kali was an amazing tour guide. He had a tour set up for my husband and I that included a air conditioned car ride to "Valley of the Kings," the "Hatshesut Temple," "Luxor Temple" and "Colossi of Memnon," while on vacation to Luxor Egypt. Most memorable trip of my life. Kali did more than just show us around, he told us about the rich history behind each site we visited. He really seems to know his stuff. He also took my husband and I on a little boat ride down the Nile river to a cute little island the locals called "Banana island," due to banana tree's that grow there. The resteraunt was amazing. Husband and I tried Pigeon for the first time. We both really enjoyed it. We went out to the banana trees after for desert. It was a cool little experience. Kali helped us make the most out of our trip and if my husband and I ever happen to go back to Egypt, Kali is our guide. -p.s. He is also great at keeping some of the locals from trying to swindle you. He also knows some of the best shops for souvenirs that have some of the best deals in Luxor. They sell some pretty amazing thing's. I bought myself a little antique Canopic Jar, and a 14k gold Cartouche necklace with my name on it using hieroglyphs. Coolest souvenirs I have from my travels to this day!

My boyfriend and I were traveling thru North Africa for his Birthday, and during our stop in Cario we decided to take the local Egyptian Railway train overnight 10 hours to Luxor. We were met right on time the next morning by our guide Khaled at the station when we arrived. From the moment he picked us up he was super friendly, made us feel welcome and comfortable, was very knowledgable and went above and beyond to ensure that we saw all of the sights during our full day tour. He drove us in his vehicle to the Valley Of The Kings, Valley of the Queens and several other areas in Luxor. Khaled and his driver were excellent taking my daughter and me safely to numerous very impressive monuments throughout the Valley of the Kings. Their local knowledge and experience made our time far more valuable because we were able to efficiently see many more things than we could have otherwise. Just the ability to get to the exhibits directly rather than figuring out where to park and walking long distances was really beneficial. Khaled is truly knowledgeable and will give you as much detail and history at each site as you desire and your budgeted time will allow. We spent over a week in Egypt but did many things and couldn't have learned as much or experienced as much without Khaled's tour. Well worth it!

We do not have enough good things to say about Khaled and our time with him during out trip to Egypt. First, it was during Ramadan... a time when he should be resting during the day because he does not eat or drink until the evening. Instead he went above and beyond in the heat of the day to make sure we had the best time possible. He is a wealth of knowledge, patient as can be with any questions you have, a gentle spirit that makes sure you feel welcome in his country, and most importantly he looks out for your safety. His driver is also amazing and the ride on both sides was very comfortable. We do not have enough good things to say about Khaled and recommend him VERY HIGHLY to anyone visiting Luxor. You will not be disappointed. We feel like we have a friend for life in Egypt!

We had them pick us up at the hotel at 8am and take us to the royal tomb and the Queen Hatshepsut Funeral Hall and then to the Karnak Temple. We went to the Luxor Temple the night before, so we changed our plans and decided to have them take us to the market. Luxor is large and transportation is essential, so if you don't have a tour or anything, I would recommend it.
