Mr ScamMo With that Mr I had a reservation for hot air balloon and visit in the valley of the kings. The previous day one guy contacted us asking info and where we live. He said that he will pick us at 05:15 on the morning but he came at 5:30. 15 min late but that's not the problem. Arriving to the hot air balloon airport we had to wait. When we got onto the balloon only at that point we informed that the flight is 30 minute's. I had to admit that our flight was severely smaller in duration compared to others. Because we were taking of in groups of balloons and when we were landing the other was still too high. So, first mini scam. (Compared to the following is nothing). After the landing, the tour began. He took us to a governmental family (that as he said, there are no such as things) that only they are authorized to work with alabaster, and the only place in the world that has alabaster is Egypt ( full lies). In the mean time I was chatting with chatgpt and all the things he said I understood that was fraud. The family of course was giving him a part of profit of what they sell and of course there are no governmental controlled families but only villagers that scam you. After we went to the valley of the kings. The Dr ScamMo told us that if we want to visit the tutankhamun we have to pay him 40€! Such as thing was not described anywhere in the agreement and when we told him that ok you can stay here we can go ourselves and just wait us. Then he told us that we are coming as a group so you are forced to come with me or I leave you here you losing the remaining part of the tour. So we forced to pay 40€ expecting a good tour . Instead he took the money he just gone us to the sign outside of the tomb he told us what the sign was saying ( it was in English so I could do that by myself) and he told us you have 30 minutes free time to go alone to the tombs. (He went for tea in the meantime). I don't hide you that I was jealous about the surrounding people that had a guide to describe everything and the stories INSIDE THE TOMBS and not just leaving you alone by only telling you what I could search in Google. After that I was fully sure what was happening there. The same pattern and at the karnak temple and the Hatshepsut tomb. He was just leaving us at the entrance by just telling us a 3 minute speech and he was going to take a break and we were concluding alone watching the monuments trying to figure out what we are watching with chatgpt 😂😂. Because many monuments at Egypt have very few signs to described what's beneath them. This guy also was giving to little time to watch anything ( 35 minutes for the karnak temple is nothing compared to the size if the temple). Also he suggested us to go for lunch, we said of course no because this was part of the act. And decided to go alone to the luxor temple just to watch it with no pressure of time. So concluding and I am apologizing for the length of the review. From me, the Dr. Mo is a big NO STAY AWAY - FRAUD. Unless if you need a man that's telling you lies just to sell things and a taxi driver with speech from Google. It's a pity for these places to have these people for guides that they are presenting ourselves as egyptiologists. It's a pity for the history that this country carries. It's a pity for the Luxor.

Itinerary
Early morning our representative will pick you up to enjoy air balloon riding. Transfer to marine enjoy Soft drinks before you take the motorboat to the west bank, then you will be transferred to the take-off area of a balloon ride in the sky of the biggest open-air museum( Luxor ). The "Balloon Ride" trip departs every day, however, confirmation in advance is still highly recommended. The balloon ride takes 45 minutes, before your land again. Discover Luxor’s East Bank and West Bank on a full-day, private tour that gives you the flexibility to explore each destination at your own pace.
After the Balloon Ride out tour guide will meet you and picks you up at the location of Colossi of Memnon to start your Luxor Full Day Tour. The Colossi of Memnon, the two largest ancient statues in Egypt, which date back to the era of King Amenhotep III.
Then you will be transported to the Necropolis of Thebes, the Valley of the Kings on the West Bank of Luxor. This ancient necropolis is a must-see for Luxor travelers. There you visit four royal tombs, including the Tomb of Ramses, the Tomb of Horemheb, the Tomb of Merenptah .Valley of the Kings on the West Bank of Luxor.
Tomb of King Ramesses lX was the third pharaoh of the Twentieth Dynasty of the New Kingdom of Ancient Egypt. His name prior to assuming the crown was Amonhirkhopshef. He was the fifth son of Ramesses III and was appointed to the position of the crown prince by the twenty-second year of his father's reign when all four of his elder brothers predeceased his promotion to the crown prince. The tomb has so much colour and details even the ceiling above the sarcophagi with its goddess Nut stretching across space. The sarcophagus is one of the largest in the valley, even though some of the paintings have deteriorated this is one of the most decorated.
In Egyptian mythology, Ptah is the demiurge of Memphis, god of craftsmen and architects. In the or simply in its falcon form of the new deity, it began to be placed in tombs to accompany and protect the dead on their journey to the West of Luxor. Tomb 8, which is located in the Valley of the Kings, was the burial place of the Pharaoh Merneptah and is the model of royal tombs Merneptah was a son of Ramesses II and Queen Isis-Nofret.the tomb was discovered by Howard Carter in 1903. Of course there is a material decrease in the number of lateral rooms, and a dramatic increase in the height of the corridors and rooms. He did away with the jogged axis used since the time of Horemheb and instead built the entire tomb on a single axis. Also, for the first time, the entrance was made considerably wider than earlier tombs.
The tomb of Ramesses III, designated as KV 11, is a complex system in the Valley of the Kings. It has been known since antiquity, the wonderful decorations include colorful painted sunken reliefs featuring the traditional ritual texts (Litany of Ra, Book of Gates, etc) and Ramses before the gods. Unusual here are the secular scenes, in the small side rooms of the entrance corridor, showing foreign tributes, such as highly detailed pottery imported from the Aegean, the royal armoury, boats and, in the last of these side chambers, the blind harpists that gave the tomb one of its alternative names: ‘Tomb of the Harpers.

After visiting the tombs you will be transported to the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut (Deir el Bahari), the only woman ever to reign over Egypt as Pharaoh. This queen was an ancestor of King Tutankhamun and belonged to the same dynasty. Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, the only woman ever to reign over Egypt as Pharaoh.
Karnak Temple , you visit what is considered to be one of the world's greatest architectural masterpieces, namely the complex of Karnak Temples on the East Bank of Luxor. Dr Mo was the most knowledgeable Egyptologist ever and so friendly and funny. My friend and I had the best time. He also took the best pictures of us. The hotair balloon was also exceptional. The crew and pilot were the friendliest. I just wish it went up at sunrise instead of afrer.
Although quite a few reviews speak poorly about Dr. Mo, he was extremely pleasant with my wife and I. The reasons we are rating it low are because Karnok was skipped altogether, we paid to have a photographer at ever stop we went to that only photgraped the hot air balloon portion, and we felt as if the only time we were had to spend freely was at the local shops or lunch area. Dr. Mo was a gentlemen, seemed knowledgeable, and knew everyone we encountered. We are hoping to receive some of our money back. We will see how it goes.
The tour is not as advertised. Make sure to read all of the fine print and the itinerary. First, there was no hot air balloon ride, it was cancelled in the afternoon the day before. We never got a formal explanation but did receive a partial refund. Second, the tour isn’t private. We were in a small group tour of 7. Additionally, all of the sites that you will visit, that cost money are not included in the price. Please make sure you pay attention to this. Dr. Mo is very nice and smart guide, we appreciate the knowledge. The “extra” knowledge for the King Tut story is a little crazy and he does charge you for it on top of the extra entrance fee. The information Dr. Mo gave us was listed on the board by the opening of the tomb. Additionally, we never stopped at Luxor temple, we only drove by it although it is in the itinerary as a stop for 1.5 hours. We did enjoy the tour but the advertisement is better than what you get, so just be prepared.
The sunrise hot air balloon ride was great. I had booked a private tour for the day, but did not realize this portion is shared. Beautiful experience and well piloted by Dr. Mo. Being able to see the Temple of Karnak is King Tut's tomb/Valley of the Kings is not to be missed. There is not a lot of shade and it's very hot, but worth it. Seeing the sites in person made seeing the artifacts and what was pulled from the sites at the New Egyptian Museum truly amazing. Besides, Luxor runs at a much different pace than the chaos of Cairo.
Very unique experience! exciting tour with amazing Dr Mo!! He is making this tour very enjoyable and comfortable !
I will share information with you that I not already listed under the tour information. - Expect a FULL day. We were picked up at 4AM and dropped off at 6PM. - The hot air balloon ride is highly dependent on near perfect conditions. Be mentally prepared if it doesn't work out. - A photo and video service during the balloon will be offered for an additional 25€ (the quality of pictures taken were great) - After the hot air balloon ride, we're surprised to continue with a private tour (with the famous Dr. Mo) - At the valley of the kings, although the ticket allows 3 tombs we only had time to see 2. - For Dr. Mo to tell us the story of King Tut, it was an additional $30USD/person. I didn't feel it was worth it. You can read the information off the informational board. - The place you will be brought for lunch is a tourist trap, about $20USD per person. - The tour brought us to hands on experiences- Alabaster Store, Perfume, and Papyrus. It was very cool, but every place we went I felt obligated to buy something, hopefully you can have better will power than me! Don't be afraid to negotiate!!! It was be better to split all the things we saw between 2-3 days. But if you only have one day like us, this is a great tour!
Dr hassan and driver Ahmad were friendly and knowledgeable. My review is for the tour company. I booked my tour for the 5:30 AM tour and it was supposed to be the hot air balloon and east and west banks. The night prior I got a WhatsApp message saying I got upgraded to the 4:30 AM tour and I needed to pay $20. I just said I will meet you in the lobby tomorrow morning After they showed up at 4:30 AM, they took me to the hot air balloon place and over there they demanded I pay them $20 to which I said no I’m not giving you anything because I already booked and everything was supposed to be through the website. They said it’s only customary and $20 not a lot. I said if it’s not a lot then you shouldn’t be asking for it. And I didn’t get an upgrade because technically I had to wake up an hour sooner so that was an inconvenience to me. I got on the hot air balloon in a bad mood then after that, they brought me back to my hotel in Luxor around 7 AM. They told me my driver would be here at nine. The driver and the tour guy did not show up until 10 AM. It’s not his fault, but the tour company is very scam scandalous and sleazy. I would not book with them. Very poor communications. I didn’t know if he was going to show up or not.
This is a great way to start your day in Luxor! The picturesque views are breathtaking! Our Guide Mo, was knowledgeable, our driver was friendly. We had a great time seeing the tombs!
We had an absolutely incredible experience with our tour guide! From start to finish, everything was seamless, engaging, and thoughtfully planned. What truly stood out was how knowledgeable and informative they were — every stop came with fascinating history, local insight, and stories you wouldn’t find in a guidebook. On top of that, they were amazing at taking photos! They knew all the best angles, lighting, and hidden spots to capture the perfect shots. Not only did we leave with unforgettable memories, but we also have beautiful pictures to prove it. Professional, friendly, patient, and passionate about what they do — I couldn’t recommend this tour guide more. If you’re looking for someone who will elevate your entire experience and make it both educational and fun, this is the one to book!
100% would recommend to anyone visiting Luxor and wanting a knowledgeable guide, with time for photos built into the itinerary. Unfortunately our Balloon ride was cancelled due to weather, so be aware that could happen anywhere. Our tour guide Dr. Mo, who also works as an Egyptology professor, was extremely friendly and shared all the information you could ever want about each site we visited. I will 100% be recommending him to any friends or family who visit in the future.
Dr Mo a big NO NO!!!! SCAM ALERT! what a horrible experience. where to start... the day before he contacts us asking for 40 USD extra as he needed to change the time of pick up in the morning...from 5.00am to 4.00am (apparently nobody was in our slot) I was firm and refused to pay more...they came to pick us up a bit late and went straight to the balloon...guess what...we took off at the time we had initially booked...Once the balloon finished... ( short of 30 min, ) we were taken to a cafe to wait for Dr. NO. We were waiting for him for AN HOUR. when he showed up, at around 8.30 instead of going straight to the Valley of the kings, he took us to a BAZAAR! we were utterly upset, not only us...but the rest of the peole on the tour...so we ended up going to the Valley of the kings at the rush hour just because of his delay and comission driven decision of going to a bazaar...when we arrived at the valley of the kings, it was full on oven, crowded and with big lanes. HE GAVE US HALF AN HOUR with the warning that he would leave us on site if we didn't turn out on time!!!! as he was adamant to take us back to the hotel at 2 and we were running late...mutiny started. we said there was no way to see anything in half an hour taking into account the queuing lines...also asked us for extra 20USD each to guide the Tut visit, but more interestingly, he said that this was the only way. we refused. Said we did not need any guiding. He was seething! (second try to extort 20 USD, failed) we managed to extend the visit another half and hour...because we demanded more time. After that Hatshepsut, he told us we had two options guiding explanation in the van, or outside...we thought the van could be a good place to start and gain some time...he gave us a 5 min ridiculous briefing...and off we went, no guiding tour in the temple at all! after that, he took us to a restaurant (again in partbership with him) where they were asking for a ton of money for lunch. we refused to fall prey in fact NOBODY had lunch at Dr. NO joint. and again left for the next visit...karnak temple...this time we skipped the "van" tour guiding and he had to step out to do his job. What a horrible attitude...5 min in and he was gone. The less guided tour in the whole Egypt trip. he told us to be on time for pick up, the van ( a complete piece of trash) showed up 15 min later, he did not bother to show up, and the remaining Luxor temple visit included in the tour gone too...Unprofessional falls short to describe his modus operandi. The greed, the lack of love for his country and the people visitting it. I never write reviews this lengthy but my dear fellow travelers STAY AWAY FROM DR. NO. Book Nice Tours instead. Some people deserve to have their tour guide licence removed for good.
Stay away from this tour especially if led by Dr Mo as guide! He was mostly interested in scamming money, at the first site after the ballon was the Colossi of Memnon, where he spent more time explaining about buying alabaster stone which he then takes you immediately for shopping (obviously for commission). The worst part was when he tried to scam us that we must pay him 20USD each as a group, if we chose to go to Tutenkhamun tomb at Valley of the kings we must use him as guide and that “was the rules” to pressure us to go along with it - so it was either we each pay him extra for the guide or we can’t go at all ourselves. The whole group became so outraged we challenged him that we wanted to go to King Tut without his guide. Eventually he backed down but not without a challenge - and it definitely was not “in the rules” of the tour which he clearly made up. The time given at the Valley of the kings was another joke in itself, after all the challenges we had to do and his faffing he gave us 30 mins to go to 3 tombs, this again raised more revolt from the group as clearly if he didn’t take us to the alabaster shopping beforehand for commission we would have had more time at the most important site - Valley of the kings! In regards to Dr Mo’s actual guide and information provided - this was the bare minimum, a few lines of introduction and tells you that’s it - all the while his phone is going off constantly. The whole tour (apart from the balloon as no involvement of Dr Mo) was highly not enjoyable with Dr Mo, that was very evident from the entire group! Stay away!
We have booked the ballooning with guided private tour of The Valley of kings. The bus arrived half an hour late at our hotel. The ballooning experience was wonderful, however afterwards our travel experience was appalling. We were brought back to our hotel and NOT to The Valley of kings as booked. The guides in the bus were very unhelpful and rude. We then got in contact with Sainap of Dr Mo tours which after realizing her fault BROKE UP contact. We paid EUR 150 for half of the trip. No coming back of the agency after multiple request for contact by WhatsApp, phone and hotel. Very bad experience. Untrustworthy and cheating.
Really good trip. Fascinating to watch the sun rise while a field of hot air balloons were being blown up. The hamper was large and fit 16 passengers (4 per compartment). I got a great panaramic photo when the pilot rotated the balloon. So glad I had a wrist strap on my phone so I could take photos leaning out of the hamper.

Everything up until the balloon was going perfect. We were picked up at 05:30, by a smiley helpful person and a driver they took us to the boat to cross Nile and off to the balloon ride. Balloon ride was perfect everyone helpful, attentive and friendly. An here we come to the Egyptiologist Mo(hamed) , the most greedy person we met in Egypt. According to the itinerary he was supposed to be with us throughout the tour and ( obviously) talk us through whatever we were visiting, instead he will tell a single story by the entrance and then let us wonder around for a limited time. He was very eager to take us to shops ( which were not part of itinerary like alabaster shop , perfume shop ). And he asked for an extra payment of 40€ ( 10€ per person ) because he escorted us to Tutanhamon tumb and gave us the story of how it was discovered. We paid almost 300£ for the entire tour and I asked the tour operator if we need to pay anything extra , we in advance , which they replied only entrance fees payable by card. Unfortunately his behaviour ruined the entire experience.
Mohammad or mo was our tour guide and he scammed us out of 40 dollars. We wanted to see king tuts body and thought it was far away from everything else and he said we had to pay 20 dollars a person to go to it plus the entry ticket of 15 US dollars. We had no idea where it was and thought it would be more work for him so we figured we would pay him the extra 20 per person. When we got in we found out it was where all the other things were and what we were paying for was for him to talk for 40 minutes about the king when we could have read the boards. If you go just say you would like to buy the ticket to see king tuts body but you don’t want to pay him the extra money because he doesn’t have to do anything extra
Booked a full day tour with Dr Mo which was very positive. Dr Mo is informative, friendly and very well educated on Egyptian history and will be able to answer all of your questions. Having a very inquisitive son who knows a lot, this is what we required. Lunch was at a place called Ali Baba and the food absolutely terrible. Egypt is very reasonably priced but this meal apart from being dry & slosh was our most expensive meal of our holiday. Purely tourist generated and really should be allowed. From this point after our balloon fiasco & appalling lunch, the day was great!! Although we didn’t see Luxor temple as advertised, we were bothered as full day, early start and you will be sent to shops to purchase things. You’re choice if you go. BALLON FIASCO This could have been handled so much better. I’d read in reviews before I booked & unfortunately this happened to us - Ballon flight cancelled! From what I understand, there are 3flights that take off every morning. Apparently we were booked on the second flight (but I booked the first slot on Tripadvisor being 5am so I still don’t understand why this is not first flight?). If there is an earlier slot, why not advertise this to your customers? When I had to chase pickup time night before (which customer shouldn’t really have to do) was told there was a 4.30 flight & if I wanted to go on earlier flight (I thought that’s what I’d booked but apparently not) it would cost another $40 per person!!! We decline at this point. A while later was then told pickup from hotel 5.40 (but I’d booked 5am? So again confused) but went with it as these guys do this daily and know what they’re doing right??? Wrong!! Our Pickup was now 5.40am and not 5am as I’d booked & it was an old bus. Not as advertised being a boat trip on Nile to cross river. Got to balloon destination which took about 20 mins. The driver was driving VERY slow so should have taken 10 mins & all passengers looking at each other in disbelief ! Flights of ballon’s just taking off which was truly magical. We waited on the side ( you will get constantly harassed by kids and if you give them money they will just swarm in) quite frightening really, we thought we were helping but you’re really not. Watched balloon taking off thinking this will be us soon - we just had to wait for them to finish their trip. 1 hr later after pickup (now 6.40) told flight cancelled and not taking off - all truly gutted. My advice this happens very frequently and get on the first flight to have best certainty you’ll get up in the air. Communication from staff in charge VERY poor, having spoken perfect English from pickup to getting to balloon destination all of a sudden they couldn’t understand you. Complete shambles. We were eventually taken to a restaurant not really understanding what was happening and waited an hour. Tried to get hold of our representative we had been messaging about what was happening & no reply!!! Also wouldn’t take our calls!! Dr Mo then turned up and explained flight cancelled and the 3 flight a day scenario as best he could. From then on day got better. We were lucky, had another day in Luxor and we really wanted to do the Hot Air Balloon. Others in our party didn’t have this luxury as we’re flying home. Dr Mo arranged this and was even our pilot the next morning. We did have to eventually pay extra 😤 but when up in the air it is truly magical. I very rarely leave such long reviews but if this advice helps at all to you, then that’s good. Happy holidays
Be prepared to be charged extra for everything. Visiting Tutankhamun’s tomb? That’s an unexpected $15 per person — not disclosed upfront — on top of the entrance ticket. The visit itself lasts barely five minutes, yet the guide charged us just to “allow us” inside. The guide spent most of the time speaking with the driver in Arabic, providing minimal to no explanation to the group. Worst of all, the night before the hot air balloon ride, I was told I had to pay an additional $15 per person just to be taken earlier — or my balloon would be canceled with no refund. It felt like a manipulative last-minute upsell. It completely brought the mood down, and we couldn’t enjoy our day in Luxor. Overall, a disappointing and unprofessional experience. I do not recommend this tour.
As someone who loves logistics, I was thrilled by how smoothly this tour ran. From the moment we were picked up in a spotless vehicle to the gentle return at sunset, it was flawless. I had low expectations for timing—but we never waited more than a minute. The guide knew exactly how long to spend in each place and tailored everything to our interests. At one point, I tripped on a step, and the staff had a bandage ready in seconds. It was impressive. Perfect for planners and perfectionists!
Unforgettable Experience in Luxor! This tour was hands down one of the highlights of my trip to Egypt! The day started early with a magical hot air balloon ride over the Valley of the Kings-watching the sunrise over ancient temples and tombs from above was absolutely breathtaking. The balloon crew was professional and made us feel completely safe the entire time. After landing, the full-day tour kicked off with visits to some of Luxor's most iconic sites, including the Karnak Temple, Hatshepsut Temple, and Colossi of Memnon. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and brought the history to life with fascinating stories and insights. Transportation was smooth, the itinerary was well-paced, and everything was organized beautifully. Whether you're a history buff or just looking to experience something unique, I highly recommend this tour. Bring sunscreen, comfortable shoes, and prepare to be amazed! 5 out of 5 stars - a must-do in Luxor!
This was an amazing experience with Dr Mo. I thought he was initially only a hot air balloon pilot but it turns out he does much more! He was informative about the Egyptian artifacts.
This trip was amazing! To see the beautiful views of Luxor as well as have a knowledgeable tour guide made my experience great! Highly recommend this top excursion with Dr. Mo!
Very poor service, booking person would not pick up the phone ever. Never refunded back the money for hot air balloon as it was canceled. The person confirmed to refund via wats app messages but never refunded. Did not reply to messages when asked about refund. Guide was given different information as compared to us who than tried to charge us extra money during the trip.
I've been on many tours before, but this was the first where the tour guide collected additional cash ($10 per person... he initially wanted 20) to talk about an exhibit (king tut tomb at Valley of Kings)! The way he mentioned the charge, we all thought that this fee included entrance to the exhibit, but no it just involved him talking about it. I am actually going to be filing a complaint with viator to request a refund for this. In addition, too much time is spent at TWO separate stops for him to make commission (not including the lunch, for which he obviously would be making one too)... a rock place, and an oil place. We spent so long at the oil place that we ran out of time and could not to do the last stop of trip (luxor temple). We spent more time at the commission shopping stops than we did at the actual advertised destinations. On the positive side, the tour was relatively reasonably priced (even factoring in the $10 addition), and he explains things well. But I feel we wasted so much time at shopping I would have had a much better experience just hiring a driver.
We did the full day Luxor tour, initially booked with balloon ride. Pros - Hassan was a good guide, he brought a lot of enthusiasm which is valuable on a long day and was flexible with timings. The sites are incredible and well worth doing, transport between sites was safe and efficient. Cons - Communication with the tour organiser was poor. The balloon trip was cancelled (not their fault of course) so the price of $65 per person for balloon + tour changed to $49 per person for the tour alone. This makes the balloon $16 per person. I think this is not a fair split and takes advantage of the balloon being cancelled. The bus was late to pick up. They take you to a stone shop which is not in the advertised itinerary. There is no choice for lunch option, it was delicious, but expensive for local food. They did not advertise that Luxor temple is also on the tour so we went the previous day but would have preferred to do it with the guide.
Mohamed was a great guide thank you!! Luxor is a beautiful and peaceful city, beautiful view on the nile with of course the impressive karnak temple
Very good experience. We totally recommend this experience. We got a very nice guide for our first day in Luxor thanks to the guide :)
Dr Mo took us on the balloon flight and was also our tour guide after. He's a university lecturer in Egyptology and was outstanding in sharing information and details with us. Made the tour thoroughly enjoyable and we really loved it much - really glad we took this tour in particular over some of the other operators. Certainly one of the best tours in our Egypt trip!!!
What a day from start to finish it was perfection, one thing to note the hot air balloon is not the sunrise one but it was still amazing. Our guide Dr Mo was unbelievable he was s I kind took loads of amazing pictures and really made our day so knowledgeable and answered all our questions. We were apprehensive at first watching you tube clips of scams and of Egypt but omg this was worth every penny. Thank you dr mo and the team for an unforgettable day x x Harpreet and laveendra
Poor customer service. Unethical business practices. False advertisement. Dishonest tour operator. Avoid!!!
Absolute scam. Total lack of organization. To amd from the balloon ride was chaos. Tour was way overpriced. Inflated entrance fees. Lunch was 3x what it should have been. Believe all of the reviews.
My Luxor full day tour starting with a baloon riding was an amazing day in Luxor having as a guide a real egyptologist with universitary degree. The day was perfectly organized and adapted by Dr. Mo. He is an exceptional person, full of life and knowledge, it was a real pleasure to find in a very good English a lot of information in an atractive manner. His co-workers are serious and exceptional, it was a real pleasure to spend about 8 exciting hours. Only good words, I trully recommend this option. There are not to manny chances in life to be guided in Egypt by an egyptologist who is able to show you not only history but also to be nice , to be able to laugh with you and to guide you also through cultural and artistic specificity of Luxor or Cairo. Thank you !
The tour guide was excellent.I totally enjoyed my day with him Great personality and very knowledgeable. The tour company however Charges you $35 to see King Tuts Tomb it actually around $10.Do not buy it from them .Buy your ticket when you get there. They arrived late to pick us up for Sunrise balloon ride so I missed the sunrise.
Azab the Egyptian tour guide was exceptional. He was a wonderful communicator and ease to be with all day and night. Ask directly for him.
What a wonderful experience. The balloon ride was beautiful. 20 or more colorful balloons rising at the same time into the sunrise overlooking the Nile and the West Bank. After that our fabulous guide Hasan Capo took us under his wings on a tour through ancient Egypt. Hassan is very knowledgeable, warm and welcoming. He adjusted the program to our wishes and was good fun to be with. He is also a great photographer, so we surrendered our camera to him and enjoyed the sights.
Luxor was so beautiful. Would def comeback if i have the time. My guide azab is very helpful and friendly. He really explained well on the temples etc. hope to see him again soon in the future.
The tour was awesome my wife and I started with the hot air balloon ride and it was mesmerizing. After the ride we met with our guide Azab, he took us to the different temples and valley of the kings. Azab was the best tour guide we had in all of our stay. He is very knowledgeable and a really kind person, Azab answered all of my doubts and questions. His English is very good and easy to understand. I really recommend him as your tour guide you will not be disappointed. Overall his service and knowledge was second to none.
The whole process from pick up from hotel, to dropping off to hotel, was smooth and hassle free. Spectacular views, beautiful serene spot over the Valley of Kings to watch an amazing sunrise! Would highly recommend this experience, and tick it off your bucket list!
Balloon trip was great and Hatshepsut Temple were the highlights for me. My guide Hassan made everything so easy, nothing was a problem and he was a complete data base of knowledge
Hot air balloon ride was a great experience and tour guide was nice but De Mo is a scam artist - do not trust what he says about entrance fees for Tutankhamen at 35 usd pp. You can buy them onsite for 10 usd for adult and 5 usd for students.
My tour with guide Azab is amazing. He is very knowledge and helpful with the tourist. I highly recommend going with him.
Enjoyed the trip! Well explanatory by the guide. The view was mesmerising. Had stops for food and breaks which was refreshing. Overall good experience!
I’ve had many tours in Egypt and Azab has given me the best tour I’ve had in Egypt. Perfect tour guide for my trip to Luxor. Showed me all of the highlights in just the right amount of detail and as in-depth as I wanted. When I came with questions he was able to answer them as he was very knowledgeable. I went to Valley of Kings, Karnak Temple, Hatshepsut temple, Colossi of memnon and was pointed to many other interesting things! I highly recommend Azab and to ask that he be your tour guide as it was very relaxing as he guided us through. He also did not allow us to be hustled and was sure of the entire process.
Dr Mo is a great egyptologist and a great sorry teller for your tour, the tour is adaptable for your needs, he can change time for lunch or even the order of the tour for you, and the balloon experience is something incredible the only problem us that any of the entrance is included, so you hace to pay around $50, Xtra in entrance so please keep this in mind.
The tour guide/driver got lost on the way to the hot air balloon takeoff spot so we missed the sunrise and when eventually went up we were the only hot air balloon in the air. Everything was poorly managed. The guides are very flirtatious. When we landed, we had to wait over 30 mins for our ride back. And by that time we were over the tour so did not even bother exploring the temples and told the guide we would just want to return to our hotel.
The hot air balloon ride was amazing with great views and going to the Valley of the Kings and Carnak Temple was incredible. our guide Mo was absolutely Amazing! He had so much knowledge about everything and he made the tour so much fun. He has a great sense of humor and was willing to take photos and took fantastic pictures. I would highly recommend this package. It is worth every dollar for the experience you get. Personally, if I could, I would get Mo be my guide for everything here in Egypt.
amazing trip , our guide was the highlight and she was awesome, she had a lot of knowledge, she was a female guide and really good one
Dr. Mo was by far the most unprofessional tour guide our group has ever experienced. He made several of the women in our group feel uncomfortable through his comments and awkward jokes. He also did not provide explanations for several of the tombs we visited. We essentially paid $900 USD among the 5 of us for a private driver. He is very deceptive and charged $35 per person for a 5 minute explanation, which was unclear. He claims his goal is to be an ambassador of Egypt one day to showcase the good of the country, which we found ironic as we have felt welcome and enjoyed every aspect of the trip despite our tour with Dr. Mo. When we confronted Dr Mo about the scam he got very upset and to help us with a better price, he refunded us through Viator and charged us separately. We recommend NO ONE do this tour and Viator to remove him from the listing.
