Interesting historical information elevated this tour of ancient sites. Tour guide was excellent.

He was a nice guy. Also , he explained all tourist locations in brief and took us to all locations with a decent waiting time as well.

He is very experienced and feels your attitude to the history of the sites. He doesn’t drown you in facts, but if you ask him he can dive deep in the history. Overall, he answers every question in a way you can easily understand. All tickets were included in his fee, so we didn’t bother paying them each time. He has organised the day tour in a way we didn’t wait more than 5 mins to enter each site. Furthermore, we had the chance to be alone visiting some of the most remarkable places as Sety I tomb and Hatshepsut temple, without paying any additional fees. Although we visited all major sites in Valley of the kings within a day, we were not so exhausted because Barry made us rest several times. The tour was really balanced. And not to forget - Barry’s sense of humour made our tour not only educational, but a funny one. Our son had a birthday two days after the tour and Barry made him an early gift - a ticket for the boy king Tuthankamon’s tomb.

The whole trip was really worth it... BARRY was an excellent guide, who patiently explained the history and more importantly he ensured that I had the best experience without leaving anything behind, making it even more fruitful.... And it was really memorable because of his patience and cooperation... I will recommend it for sure....thank you Barry....

It is overall a good trip. The driver is patient and always waiting for us. The trip is also flexible and we can decide which temple to go. Intense but worthy big tour of all ancient Luxor. All the sites are famous must-see. My driver was experienced and spoke good english, which was enjoyable. I can recommend.

The guide doesn’t speak the best English and the driver would disappear so we had to keep waiting for the car after visiting sites. Fine way to get around the city and see the temples, though. Think the area is generally a bit poorer so maybe education system not as good as other parts of Egypt

We - three of us - enjoyed the whole trip. Abu arrived on time, made an excellent plan, and gave us high quality information about everything we visited and ask.

The personal tour guide was great...could do with a little more English. He's showed us this that were not observed by the large tour groups which were interesting. The selected lunch restaurant was great.

This tour is my favourite tour I have ever taken… and I’ve taken a few around the world now… the temples and the tombs are beyond stunning and breathtaking, but what made it special was the detail and knowledge of Barry my guide… even when I entered tombs without him I came out with questions and pictures that he answered perfectly. My understanding of everything now is like 100% more than I came with… and he got the best pictures for me too… so patient and had great photography skills! He felt like a true friend throughout the day, very good sense of humour and great English, probably the best and most at ease I’ve felt in conversation since arriving in Egypt. His wisdom has been so valuable and my day was fun and all at my own pace… loved every second! The lunch was also so good and driver so friendly… I was travelling solo and felt so safe with both of them - thank you The Opulence of Egypt and Barry & Mohomed this has been the highlight of my trip to Egypt

Barry was an absolutely fantastic guide who has deep historical knowledge of each place we visited. He literally walked us through some hieroglyphics carved into temple walls. It was such a pleasure to learn from him. I cannot recommend this tour highly enough. It was extremely well done.

Our guide , Barry, was amazing. He was great with our kids and made the experience really enjoyable and educational!! My one recommendation is for the tour operator and the setup of the tour. I’d highly recommend omitting Valley of the Queens and Hatshepsut temple and replacing with included visit to King Tut’s tomb. In hindsight, I think that is a much better use of time and the entrance fees are about the same when replacing those two for King Tut’s tomb.

I had a great experience with The Opulence of Egypt. The guide was knowledgeable, professional, and very respectful of the sites and local culture. Everything was well organized, and the experience felt thoughtful rather than rushed or generic. If you’re looking for a more meaningful and well-run experience in Luxor, I would definitely recommend this company.

Guide was knowledgeable. But the guide was not willing to take us to Queens valley. He took after we insisted. I believe Queens Valley was the part of the tour package. The guide asked additional money 500 EGP tutankhamun tomb which was unexpected and not disclosed during booking. Be careful with the hidden charges for the booking with this company. The guide insisted us to give the tips multiple times.

Barry was the BEST! He made me feel comfortable being a solo traveler and went out of his way to get me great photos and was very well educated on the history of every place we visited. I’m so grateful! I’ll definitely book with him again in the future.

I booked a private day tour with Waleed earlier this week. That tour was the best part of my trip to Egypt! Waleed met me at the airport, then he and his driver proceeded to bring me to Luxor Temple, then to Karnak Temple. We had a very good lunch at a fancy restaurant, then continued to the tombs in the Valley of the Kings. Waleed provided information throughout the trip, did some hieroglyphic translations and was generally quite knowledgable about Egypt’s history. Waleed ensured we had the proper tickets for each location and waited patiently while I took photos. There were other locations included in the tour, but at my request we finished the tour early for the day. I was driven to my hotel at the end of the tour. Wally was interesting and comfortable to be around for the day. He was the best tour guide that I had throughout my week in Egypt.

I had an amazing full-day tour with The Opulence of Egypt visiting the most important temples and historical tombs in Luxor. Everything was perfectly organized from start to finish. The private car was clean and comfortable, the tour guide was very knowledgeable and explained the history in a clear and engaging way, and the lunch was delicious at a great location. This was an excellent tour. Our guide, Adham, was very knowledgeable and gave expert advice on what to see, what to avoid, how to maneuver through the crowded places, and how do engage with local salespeople. Both our tour guide and driver were prompt, courteous, and extremely respectful of our time and responsive to our desired activities.

Barry made our first time in Luxor really special. He spent a lot of time with us showing the temples and tombs and telling us about what we were seeing and answering all our questions. He facilitated tickets and entry to all the sites and he and his driver took care of transportation. When we asked, he arranged detours to visit knowledgeable artists and venders specializing in papyrus, alabaster, spices and textiles. At the last minute he arranged sailing the Nile on a felucca which was icing on the cake. We couldn’t have asked for more! Barry is friendly, knowledgeable and professional and went out of his way to make our visit to Luxor the highlight of our trip!

We had a wonderful, fun, and informative tour of Karnak, Luxor Temple complexes, and Valley of the Kings. Berry was very knowledgeable and provided relevant historical facts that made it great. We highly recommend.

Oh my goodness! We cannot recommend this enough! Adham picked us up in a really nice van (with air con & water) and the fun began! 😁 We were straight to the Valley of Kings where Adham gave us so much amazing information and explained the rich history of Egypt. The tombs were just glorious, as well as all of the other 'must see' stops throughout the day. We had a blast cracking jokes & taking pictures. Adham even gave us tips/tricks to navigate some of the locals and tombs ourselves. As Aussies travelling in a different country we couldn't have felt more comfortable with The Opulence of Egypt. Highly recommend.

Our guide was Mohamed H. and he was fantastic. My husband and I both agree that he was our favorite guide in Egypt. He was so knowledgeable and took the time to explain history and answer any questions. He took us to all expected locations and gave time for rest in the heat. He even took us to lunch and made sure we had water (and change for the toilets!) His driver was very good and the transportation was clean and cool in the summer heat!
