Poula is just a fantastic guide. He keeps you engaged and entertained through a series of jokes, a fantastic binder full of facts and the occasional meme and only a small amount of bullying if you get a test wrong. I couldn't recommend him more highly!

I literally tripped over Poula (or Pola as he described himself to me via What'sApp) I was looking for a driver and found a Reddit feed that praised a guy named Shady. (I know, right?) Anyway, we went back and forth on price (it's the Egyptian way) and said his "brother" Pola would be acting as a guide. On the day they picked me up, Shady was no longer in the picture, there was another driver, nice guy, no English and Pola was heading the expedition and informed me he and "Shady" were not brothers. (Again; it's the Egyptian way). So already starting off a little sketchy, but, nice car and everything turned out wonderfully. Pola is extremely well informed, has a wonderful sense of humor and a legitimately nice man. Made the trip seemless and enjoyable. I usually don't employ guides, but in this place, it's kinda' mandatory. Makes things go a lot smoother. I recommend Pola highly. (He also helped me negotiate the purchase of some trinkets which saved me a bunch.). Great guy...M.

We spent three wonderful days in Luxor with Poula as our tour guide, and the experience exceeded all our expectations. Poula was exceptional, not only as a knowledgeable guide who provided fascinating and detailed insights into Luxor's rich history, but also as someone who helped us organize our entire stay. From picking us up at the airport over organizing a hot air balloon trip to arranging our transfer to Marsa Alam at the end of our trip, he made everything seamless and stress-free. Together with Poula (and Nana), we visited the Valley of the Kings, the Valley of the Queens, the Valley of the Workers, the Colossi of Memnon, the Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut, and the magnificent Karnak Temple. At every site, Poula shared detailed historical background and not only showed us the famous highlights but also many hidden gems that most visitors would likely miss without such an experienced guide. We had an amazing time in Egypt! Shady our guide and his company was outstanding from the moment we contacted them until they dropped us off at our final destination. After doing some in depth research the seamless thing to was to book a guide and drivers to handle everything for us. Even being established travellers who always do our own thing we had our parents join us and decided to make it easier for them and it was definitely the right decision. Stress free. We had a fantastic experience with our guide! We got picked up at our hotel and had a driver who took us to Valley of the King, the Hatshepsut temple and the Medinet Habu. Poula our guide explained everything clearly and we had a very relaxed experienxe with him while he let us explore the Temples. We had the option to book everything, including admission tickets through them, but we booked the tickets ourselves. Overall, a very pleasant and informative experience with Poula!
