Luxor Half Day Tour: Karnak And Luxor Temples

Barry was our tour guide for the half day - Luxor and Karnak temple tour. Barry was very knowledgeable and shared a lot of great information with us. We started the tour being picked up from our hotel. Barry looked after all our needs and took us to the first stop, Luxor temple. The temple was fantastic and Barry was able to share some of the smaller details of the pictures and inscriptions that we would not have known without him. Karnak was the second stop, it truly is a spectacular site. Lots of information that would never have been known, if Barry wasn't there to share his knowledge. A bonus for this tour was that there was no stop at a souvenir shop. Other tours that we have been on seem to have an obligatory stop, but not this tour. It made the tour much better. Thanks Barry

The Guide, Marwa fatafeat elsoker was very kind and informative. We visited many places and she explained everything super good! Afterwards we went to eat at the Paris Restaurant with very good food.

Noah gave us an amazing tour. He is personable and very funny, as well as making sure that we were okay in the heat. I would highly recommend his tour. His English is excellent and he was able to help us with finding safe food for someone with allergies. In addition, he is very knowledgeable about the tombs and temples we visited. I especially enjoyed visiting a local artisan shop and touring the historic town/tombs of the artisans

Our tour guide, Noah, met us in the morning and had everything ready to go for the day. We were able to visit the Valley of the Kings as well as several temples and other tombs. Although it was extremely hot (111 degrees Fahrenheit), our tour guide ensured we stayed hydrated and out of the sun as much as possible. He also made sure we were well-informed of merchants trying to rip us off, and he explained every aspect of the sites carefully. I felt that all of my questions were answered appropriately and professionally, and I felt safe and cared for the whole time. Noah was quite friendly and personable. I would highly recommend his services.

We had a great time with tour guide Noah. He was very personable, and knowledgeable about the valley of the kings and various temples. He was very helpful and helped us to get gluten free food for a member of our family who as an allergy.

Marwa was such an amazing, fun, knowledgeable and great guide - the best we’ve had in Egypt so far. She helped us come up with an itinerary that worked for us, had great explanations and insight, and had a great relationship with all the locals we interacted with. We went to the Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut’s temple, Memnon’s colossi, tombs of the nobles, and Valley of the Queens. I visited the western part of Luxor with Marwa. It was a very good time. The explanations were very precise and allowed me to learn a lot about Egyptian history. I recommend this guide!

Overall amazing experience. Noah was my tour guide. I was picked up from my hotel on time. He was very responsive beforehand and gave me suggestions on how to prepare for the day which was very helpful. He provided a driver and the entire experience was amazing. Super knowledgeable and hospitable, I highly recommend!

So much to do on the West Bank... Hatchepsut, Valley of the Kings, Habu, Colossi of Memnon: Don't forget the spices in Health & beauty Shop a little bit further and also visit the local market in Al Qarna to experience the real egyptian life

I had 2 days of tours with Berry and it was very special an great experience. At day 1 he showed me the east bank with valley of the kings and Hatshepsut Temple. He knows a lot about the Egyptian history, the old gods and can also read the hieroglyphs. He explains his knowledge quite perfect and is a very smart and polite gentleman. He made some very good pictures of me during the time and was very helpful with everything. The second day was at the West Bank of Luxor with Karnak temple and Luxor temple. I regret that I didn't have more time in Luxor. I will contact Berry again on my next visit

Marwa is a really excellent guide - we were so delighted to be hosted by her on our trip! She took us on a custom tour to the Valley of the queens and West bank, and was knowledgeable about the sites, sharing the stories of what we were seeing. She is a great facilitator, and was able to help us time our entrances to the tombs "just so" to get the best possible experience.

This is my second visit to Luxor's Valley of the Kings, formerly known as THE KING'S DOOR. Barry, my guide was so full of knowledge, and his easy way of explaining AND adding to what I already knew made this a more meaningful experience. Great guide, amazing tour and what a lot of history and memories!!! The half day private tour to the Valley of the Kings and Queens, Hatshepsut temple, Tomb of the Workers, Madinet Habu was amazing to say the least. Very knowledgeable and cooperative, Harry was just the right person for this tour.

Barry basically helped me create a custom tour. I'd been to the 'regular' sites but wanted to see more - colorful, unique tombs off of the beaten track. WOW! We visited the Nobles tombs (the wine maker Sennefer) were so different than Kings tombs and amazingly preserved. Queens Valley highlight was of course Nefertari. It is the most expensive entry fee but the best! Habu Temple then Dier el Medina - so interesting and again different. By the end of the day I felt I'd really seen it all! And lunch was a great way to finish to tour. If you have the time and love seeing tombs - this is the way to do it.

A great visit to the Valley of the Kings and Hatshepsut's Temple - the tombs of the kings had an otherwordly beauty and the Temple was a remarkable monument to a unique ruler in Egyptian history. My guide Barry explained the history and background well. Highly recommended!

Amazing tour And the west bank of luxor To visit The Valley of the king's hatchet suite temple and extra. It was amazing and I learned a lot about ancient Egyptian history and real life now and also about cultures and traditions. That's still used until today from the pharaoh's time. If you want to learn about egypt and real egypt, don't hesitate to book

Best tour of my trip! I actually took the half day Dendera trip and couldn’t recommend it more highly, as it was the prettiest temple I visited. Rich with color, every inch seemed to tell a story that my guide, Barry, helped make come to life. His passion is real. The ceilings alone were worth trip, learning all about Nut. No visit to Luxor is complete without visiting Dendera, with Barry helping to provide context through storytelling - not just information. The pace was relaxed, the transportation was comfortable and Barry really looked out for me. No visits to stores was a plus to make the most of the time. I’ve taken 3 tours now in Egypt and Barre has been the best, most engaging - by far. The tour is not the cheapest of those available - but it was the best. And I did a lot of research prior.

I had the best day exploring the West Bank in Luxor. My guide Barry was very informative, kind, patient and helpful. He offers so much insight into life in Luxor and the ancient world that goes beyond the normal. This is one tour I highly recommend and Barry takes the BEST photos.

Batty saved our holidays with these trips. We came from a very bad experience in El Cairo and Giza which made us feel uncomfortable with these trips because of detours to shops, unclear information about the tour, extra charges, etc. Batty heard us and helped us to change our mind. Although we were pretty tired, he made us feel welcome and used his knowledge and expertise to show us the marvelous Luxor. He really cares about showing his country and the Egyptian culture to people and that's something we love when travelling. It was a very funny and enjoyable 2 days (we made East Bank trip, too) and learned a lot. Would 100% recommend him to anyone and we are very thankful to him for helping us improve our holidays and recover the good mood. Also he gave us free time which enabled us to feel like visiting the monuments as a couple and have our own time and rythm, which is something we highly appreciate.

What a fantastic time we had going to see the "Valley of the Kings" recently! Our guide Barry picked us up right outside our door in a VIP van and took us to a whole new world underground with an excellent commentary. I don't know how he remembers all the historical names and dates! He made it so fascinating I could hardly retain it all! He kept us far from the maddening crowd and personalised the tour so much that we felt really special. He let us explore the tombs on our own and answered our questions meeting our every need and exceeding our expectations. Later he took us by open buggy to the Temple of Hatshepsut which was equally fascinating with it's stairs and ramps to a grand entrance of a palace. When we had finished exploring the tombs, he took us to a relaxing restaurant with beautiful views and on the way back he took us to an alabaster factory where we watched some craftsmen fashion beautiful alabaster products in the time honoured tradition with incredible skill as they would have done for thousands of years. We were given plenty of time to examine every amazing work of art in every shape and colour you can imagine before choosing that "special piece". After returning to our accomodation we felt extremely satisfied having received wonderful memories which will last us a lifetime. Thanks again Barry for such a wonderful experience. Regards Sybil.

Well organized tour. The tourguide Barry was very friendly, helpful and told me a lot about history and culture in a special way. The little stories made it easier to remember and less boring than only a summary of dates.

The guide was very knowledgeable, spoke Spanish very well, and explained things very well. What needs to be improved is the organization; we almost didn't get picked up because of the poor organization. Despite that, it was a great tour, thanks.

The day before, I was taken to Karnak and Luxor temples, where my guide was very easy to understand and I was with my children, but he was considerate and I was able to see the sights with peace of mind, so I personally asked him to take me directly to the Valley of the Kings and other places. With the children, we were well aware of the tough points, and the children waited with us in tough places with many stairs, so we were able to see the sights without stress even in Egypt in the hot June. It was beautiful English, very easy to hear and easy to understand explanations.
