Rabi was an excellent private guide for our 2 day Luxor tour. Knowledgeable, friendly, funny. So much information and interesting history. We loved our time with him. Ahmed was a great driver.

We spent three days touring Luxor - 2 days on the West Bank and 1 on the East Bank. Our guide, Hamdy, was excellent! He was knowledgeable and entertained all our questions. We learned so much about ancient Egypt and modern Egyptian culture. The drivers were great too. Egypt Tailor Made was responsive and easy to work with. We also did a day in Cairo. Our driver and tour guide, Haythum, picked us up at the airport and we jumped into an awesome day at the pyramids of Giza and the Grand Egyptian Museum. We were in good hands the entire trip! Would highly recommend. They also arranged an hot air ballon ride for us and a hotel transfer. Our family of four agrees Egypt Tailor Made - made our trip fantastic!! An added bonus was supporting the local economy by booking with a local tour agency.

Shimia Arabie was our tour guide for 3 days in Luxor! She was super fun, energetic, has great english, kind, smart, she really knows what she is talking about and she is passionate about it too! It was fun getting to know Shimia! We are going to miss her! The best tour guide! She helped us with everything and made sure that we were always okay! I would highly recommend her! We are going to miss her! She was also funny and very polite!

Shamiaa Rabie, was an outstanding guide! Definitely 5 Stars! She guided with enthusiasm and a smile. Her English was excellent and she had a voice I could hear and understand. She was very informative but did not over burden us with unnecessary details. Shamiaa was always punctual in her appointments and very helpful in her suggestions and providing safety's tips. She was always with us and helped us make purchases in the markets. We would highly recommend her for any guiding activities!

Another amazing day with Egypt Tailor Made! Ghada was a great tour guide, with many stories to share. She knew all the best spots in Valley of the Kings, and took pictures of me so I didn’t only have selfies. Taylor made tour, tailored to our own needs! It was perfectly planned out and that credit goes to our cousin! Our guide worked incredibly hard to explain thousands of years of Egyptian history… and we worked equally hard trying to understand their accent. 😅 Together, we made a great team! Despite the language challenge, their energy and dedication made the tour unforgettable.

It was an excellent experience! Shimiaa, our guide, arrived at the hotel right on time and shared the full history behind everything we were seeing. She also gave us plenty of time for photos and even pointed out the best spots to take them. Highly recommended! Our driver was also fantastic—he kept the car cool with the AC on and stayed on-site so we could safely leave our belongings behind. Coming back to a refreshing car made the day even better.

Omg!!!!!!! What the wonderful time in Luxor. It could not be possible without Egypt tailor made!!!!!!!!! We were there 3 nights and got arranger 2 fully days with trips. Everything was perfect. Car, driver and the best guide ever Rania Raouf!!!!! Remember this name!!!!! Such a encyclopedia!!!! This lady knows everything about Egypt ( 2 masters and PhD). She put it all together. Made a short repetition from Old and Middle Kingdom and then started with New Kingdom ( Karnak Temple,Luxor Tempe and Kings valley). I could listen to her for hours. When you get a tour guide like Emil you may be certain you are set for a magnificent experience. I thought it was impossible to get a better guide than Sabry in Cairo, but here i am writing another glowing review for Emil who traveled with us from Aswan to Abu Simbel and to Luxor with all the sites in between and in Luxor. He made it an unforgettable experience for all of us. Designed the trip so he could tell us the story of the history of the Egyptian civilization, with genuine enthusiasm. This very organized plan allowed us to visit places off the beaten path, at times where the hoards of visitors were not too exhausting. Showed us Egyptian history as if it was a tale, easier to remember. He gave us information even on sites we were visiting without him and answered every question we had. His tips to the times we were on our own were perfect and even when we asked for stopping for visiting a store, he always abstained from pressuring us to purchasing anything. Like our previous guide his English is perfect and he is friendly, patient and very courteous and we never felt we needed to bridge cultural gaps. He was always on time and we never felt he rushed to finish anything. The time with our group was ours. Thank you Emil. And thank you Tailor Made tours. We wanted to visit Egypt our way, after investigating what was important for us and you tailored it to our wishes.

It was our first time to Egypt and the ETM tour company managed our trip very well. We had hired a car for our family to visit sites at Luxor and Cairo. Our guide Shimiaa was very knowledged and shared lots about the history of Luxor. I would definitely recommend to have a guide when you visit the historical places as it holds lot of interesting facts and having a guide like Shimiaa will help us understand the history very well. Shimiaa was so patient in answering our questions and all those my kids kept constantly asking her. She’s very good and friendly with kids. She was patient and gave us time to finish our tour at our own pace. Our driver Karm was very friendly and went out of the way to drive us to places for lunch even after the tour for the day had ended. Our guide Mahdy at Cairo was very friendly and ensured we visited all the important places.

We have just finalized a 6 day beautifully crafted tour in Aswan, Abu Simbel, and Luxor, which thanks to Egypt Taylor Made was the best experience of our life, and we highly recommend them! Our guide Mr. Tayeb possesses a natural flair for storytelling , weaving historical facts, local myths, and private anecdotes into a rich tapestry that brought the pharaonic times to life. Family of 4 - we toured Luxor to Aswan for 5 days and had an incredible time. Our guide/Egyptologist Ahmed Aziz was amazing. His knowledge of Egypt’s rich history was both fascinating and mind blowing. Ahmed did everything he could to give us the best experience I could ever dream off. We just had 10 day with ETM. We had the best experience in Egypt. Both drivers and tour guides are lovely. We did most pyramids in cairo and Saqqara , abu simbel, luxor, aswan, Alexandria and fayoum oasis. Best experience to have a private tour

AMAZING day with our fantastic tour guide, Shimaa! She was not only deeply knowledgeable and friendly, but incredibly passionate about leading visitors through a meaningful tour of the East and West banks of Luxor! She provided excellent suggestions for which tombs to visit, helped us buy tickets at every site and took us to a delicious restaurant with a lovely view of the Nile for lunch. At each site -- the tombs and the temples -- she gave us a thorough, but interesting description of the site and the history surrounding it. She threw in humor, constantly made sure we were doing alright (i.e. water, bathroom breaks) and answered all of our questions. We felt safe and cared for the entire time! This tour was totally worth the money and the time. We flew in and out of Luxor for the day from Cairo. We had no issues with airport transfers and felt like we were able to see everything. We had cash for lunch, snacks, shopping and tipping. All of the entrance fees were paid with card (they only accept card). Thank you Shimaa and Egypt Tailor Made!

Egypt Tailor Made provided us with an amazing guide for our stay in Luxor. Raina Raouf was not only personable, knowledgeable and friendly, she also reads hieroglyphics. She was extremely educated and told many stories about the pharaohs and their way of life. We spent one day visiting the Karnak and Luxor temples and the following day we went to the Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon. Two days were perfect to see these sites. We could not have done this without Raina’s guidance. Being an Egyptologist she brought to life how the people lived over three thousand years ago. Egypt Tailor Made is a first class company as the guides and drivers they provided were top notch. We highly recommend them. Ask for Raina Raouf. She is fantastic and by the way she speaks Arabic, English and German.

This was the second tour we booked through Tailor Made Tours and once again the tour and our tour guide, Ghada, were excellent. Our driver Yassin was very good as well. We’ve had an unforgettable experience with Egypt Tailor Made tours. We’ve spent our honeymoon in Egypt and did Cairo, the Nile cruise, Luxor, Hurghada and Alexandria. The team was very attentive and professional. From the planning phase with the great itinerary with Naglaa, to all the drivers that were always on time, with the cars all clean and always taking care of us giving water to us. The guides were very knowledgeable and caring, from Heba in Cairo, Emile in the cruise and Luxor and Heba in Alexandria. We had the time of our life’s and our honeymoon was incredibly memorable.

We did two morning tours with the wonderful Ghada, day one West Bank with Valley of the Kings and Temple of Hatshepsut, and day two the East Bank temples of Karnak and Luxor. We would definitely recommend half days if you have time because of the heat. Well worth paying the extra for tombs of Seti I and Ramses V/VI. Ghada was full of knowledge and an engaging guide. Wow! What an amazing adventure we had. So many wonderful things to say about this tour company. First of all, the tour company is extremely responsive. When we were planning the trip we sent them an email and they immediately sent us an itinerary that included all the things we wanted to see. We used them through all of Egypt. Including Cairo, Alexandria, Aswan, the drive to Luxor, Luxor, and then Hurgada. What I loved the most was as each day or section of the trip progressed they would send us messages via WhatsApp to communicate what would be happening the next day. It was really organized and we felt like our needs were taken care of. Shout out to our guides and drivers: Cairo- Doa Dana. She had the energy. She made us feel like a movie star and was very friendly. She took amazing photos and was very punctual. Alexandria- Sara. Oh man. She knew everything about her city. She was very professional and really explained so much. She was patient and overall had great communication. Mustafa: our driver. Holy moly was he great at navigating Cairo and Alexandria. I don’t know how he had as much patience as he did. Honestly, if I ever moved to Cairo he would be who I would hire to drive me. Abu Simbel/Aswan/Luxor: Ghada: our Egyptian mom. She had so much knowledge of her country and was so passionate. She really taught us a lot and would quiz us along the way to make sure we were paying attention. She cared a lot for our safety and had a very “give no shiz attitude” about cutting in front of huge crowds. What I mean to say is, there is a LOT of people traveling here and she knows the times best. Her main agenda is to make sure you get the best experience possible. She also used pictures and drawings to help explain which was really cool. Her number one goal is to get you to understand. Ahmed the driver- We love this guy. He was very focused on driving to keep you safe. He is quite at first but will open up to you. Making it so fun to joke around. He loves talking about music and we just enjoyed chatting with him so much. This concludes the guided tours of the ancient parts of Egypt and we look forward to our boat excursion in Hurgada. Some tips: we read that giving US dollars as a tip is no problem. The issue is, if the bill is torn, old or pretty much anything less than crispy… it’s worthless to them. If you plan to tip with dollars please make sure to have fresh ones, otherwise they cannot use them. Or just tip with Egyptian Pounds. Consider the length of the drive for the driver when tipping him. We got ourselves in a weird place where we thought we were tipping fairly but didn’t consider the length of the drive. We regret not tipping more in Cairo. The tours can be pretty jammed packed. Make sure to voice your opinion to slow down and that you need a coffee or food. Otherwise, you will be starving by the end. And at times the English can be spoken very fast/too quiet. We did have to ask a few times for them to slow down and speak up so we could follow along. My husband’s second language is English so at times it can be more difficult to understand. Overall, we would use this company again and feel so blessed to have them in our lives. Even if it was for such a short time, they made us feel like family.

We spent eight days in Egypt so I’ve reviewed each part of our tour. This is our review of our two days in Luxor. We went in August so it was very hot!! But there are fewer tourists in the summer so we didn’t mind the heat because we got the individualized attention we wanted. We were the only people in our group! Yay!! Ghada Kamel was our tour guide in Luxor. Her pleasant personality and wealth of knowledge made our trip to Egypt even more amazing! This is an experience we will never forget! Visited Karnak and Luxor Temples which were AMAZING! The Valley of The Kings, The Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, and Colossi of Memnon. Ghada kept us hydrated and fed!! The van has AC so we could cool off in between sites. Thanks Ghada!

Me and my friends travelled to Egypt, specifically to Cairo, Luxor, Aswan and Hurghada. Egypt Tailor made helped us plan the whole program and covered all transportation within Egypt and provided two tour guides. The highlight of the trip was the nile cruise from Luxor to Aswan in which Mr. Ahmad Aziz accompanied us during all site visits and planned the program for us over 5 days. Mr Ahmad is a very knowledgeable tour guide and helped us a lot by explaining what the hyrogliphics means and all the stories behind the temples. Overall, I highly recommend this trip and advise choosing Mr. Ahmad Aziz as a tour guide.

I toured along the Nile from Luxor down to Abu Simbel with 3 friends. Our guide, Ahmed Aziz, was fantastic. We toured many beautiful temples and tombs, including the Valley of the Kings, and Ahmed was incredibly knowledgeable and his historical and mythological stories made a great accompaniment to the beautiful statues and buildings. I would highly recommend both Egypt Tailor Made and Ahmed to anyone considering visiting Egypt to explore its rich history.

Despite the heat, I would say that this vacation was one of my favourite trips so far and this is coming from someone who travels regularly. Everything on this trip was well planned by our tour guide Mr. Ahmad Aziz. On multiple occassions he saved the day by swiftly changing the schedule according to the changes in the surrounding circumstances so we could enjoy our time and get to do everything that we pre-planned before the trip. In addition to that, Mr. Ahmad had a very deep understanding of the ancient egyptian history and he explained it very well and in a simple way such that we could all easily understand and appreciate the rich history in the archaeological sites. Overall, I would rate the trip a 9/10.

We gad a fantastic private tour with Mohamed Kamel Soliman around all the historical sites in Luxor. He was flexible around our schedule and also very good at explaining all of the history around the area. A great experience, hope to be back soon!

It was a wonderful experience great tour very organized with a very good tour guide and driver. It was planed very well . We visited Luxor it was a nice town. We went to Karnak Temple, and the Valley of the Kings. Additionally, we went to Abu Simbul from Aswan. We enjoyed the Felucca ride around the islands of Aswan and the fresh breeze while witnessing the magnificent scenery. However, the weather in May was hot, but we had to do it during that time.

Ms. Shimiaa was an amazing guide for Luxor! She is a very knowledgeable Egyptologist who can even read hieroglyphics! I really liked that she took me to only one top quality business for souvenirs and helped me negotiate great prices. She also taught me about Egyptian culture during our travel. We spent 4 days between Aswan and Luxor with our wonderful tour guide Hesham. Hesham is very polite, very knowledgeable about Egypt and it's history and such a pleasant person to be around. No question was too hard, no special request too much. He also left plenty of time to explore the temples and ruins on our own and waited patiently at the entrance which we enjoyed a lot. We also want to thank our driver Mohamed who was truly one of the bast drivers we had and we can only recommend him!

Had the most amazing trip with our guide Ghada, who took care of us like family. She absolutely fascinated us with her story telling skills and enriched our knowledge about the history of Egypt. Apart from the usual role of a guide, she is the warmest person we have met in a long time, she got us fruits when we were hungry, bought us traditional desserts once I mentioned craving for some, stopped for an impromptu break to get us some heavenly falafel sandwiches, took us for the best shawarma and koshary meals and so much more! The two days’ tour of Aswan and Luxor we had booked was smooth, well coordinated and we were very comfortable in the company of Ghada and our driver Mohammed. Our spirits were high and we had enjoyed to our hearts’ content. Thank you so much, Ghada!

I can't say enough good things about Egypt Tailor Made Tours. After spending time in the Cairo and Giza areas, we boarded a plane for Aswan to see the sights and toured all the way to Luxor. What an experience! They took such good care of us, made sure we had good, clean food to eat, plenty of water, and saw any and everything we wanted to see. Our guide, DJ Kalid and skillful driver Memo really delivered and made our trip flawless. We felt safe and protected everywhere we went. They catered to our every need and I felt like this was worth every penny! No big tour buses for me! Driving around in a van was the way to go!

I highly recommend Ghada as your tour guide for Luxor, Aswan, and Abu Simbel, Egypt! As a second-generation tour guide & native of Luxor, Ghada is superbly credentialed to introduce you to Egypt's treasures. Not only can she tell the story of each antiquity / location, she can answer your questions, understanding what you're really wanting to know, and sharing generously in her knowledge. Her English is great, and she understands 100%. (As we overheard other tour guides, we realized how lucky we were to have Ghada.) On a personal note, Ghada shared so much about local culture: the different tribes of people, customs, quirks, history, and trivia, which immensely enriched my experience. With Ghada you don't only see with your eyes, you experience with your brain and your heart. I wanted to meet local people and she brought me to them, which made me feel that I was experiencing "the real Egypt." Ghada is a sweetheart and we felt entirely safe under her care--even me. She looked after us as if we were her own family. I'm particularly grateful that she was able to gracefully accommodate a few unexpected snags. We arrived very jetlagged and very hungry, and we arrived at the airport a little cranky / lethargic. She took us for falafel (the best falafel of my life) and coffee, and on we went to Karnak. Also, my husband has a health condition that makes him heat-sensitive (a bummer during August in south ernEgypt in 2023) and deftly navigated, pivoting to sharing as much info from the comfort of our air-conditioned van and efficiently escorting us through the sites. She obviously genuinely cared that we had a great time, actively figured out who we were & what we wanted, and tailored our experience to fit us. We only had 3 days in southern Egypt and while we definitely didn't see everything, we saw what I'd call Level 1 Egypt and have been enticed by what awaits us on our next trip. My personal two favorite things were the Valley of the Kings (spend the money to see Seti's tomb! It's worth it! And obviously King Tut) and the 4-hour drive down the agricultural roads from Luxor to Aswan, where I saw the real Egypt. The long convo w. Ghada about Egyptian history, culture, and belly dancing was maybe the best part of the trip!! :) She also took me to the best bookstore / antique postcard store in Aswan, where I got the mementos I dreamt of. Also if you love the hibiscus tea like me don't miss the spice shop. And boy is there plenty to do! With Ghada's help I have a long list of very off-the-beaten path experiences (Level 2 and Level 3 Egypt) that I dream of doing. Also, our driver Mohammed was highly skilled, deftly navigating the Egyptian roads (which are anyway much safer than I expected). Three cheers for Mohammed! We highly recommend Ghada for your Egypt tour! PSA: Egypt is a tipping country. Remember to tip your guides no less than 15%!

We used Egypt Tailor Made to visit both the East bank and West bank of Luxor over a 3 day period (1 day east bank and two days for the west bank). Additionally Egypt Tailor Made also planned a hot air balloon trip for us, which was breathtaking! Our guide Ms. Ghada and our driver Mr. Ahmed were very sweet and helpful and took very good care of us. Ms. Ghada is a superb guide with much knowledge on everything related to ancient Egypt. She is very caring, helpful, brought us homemade mango juice, and took her time explaining the different details of the tombs and temples we visited. And even though it was extremely hot, we all had fun during the entire time. We can definitely recommend both Ms. Ghada, Mr. Ahmed and Egypt Tailor Made. Egyptologist Tour Guide Omar Haridi provides a great experience in Egypt. His knowledge about Egypt and the many sites is exceptional. Touring Luxor Temple, the Valley of the Kings, the many sites along the Nile and Aswan is exciting. He makes learning about Egyptian history fun. You can tell he really cares that you get a great experience. For me, a person who cares about animals and especially dogs, I was very impressed with Omar Haridi’s personal efforts to take care of the many street dogs in Egypt and his commitment to get others involved in this noble effort. If you travel to Egypt and care about dogs Omar Haridi is the perfect guide for you.

Ms. Ghada is a kind and very knowledgeable guide! She thoroughly explained the history of the temples and what the hieroglyphs mean, giving us a greater appreciation of the sites. It was clear that she cared about our wellbeing and didn’t push us to buy anything we didn’t want. Thanks to her, Luxor was our favourite city in Egypt!

We did a 7 day tour that included three nights in Aswan with a day trip to Abu Simbel, and 4 nights in Luxor with a day trip to Dendera and Abydos. Our tour guide Ahmed Aziz was fantastic! He went above and beyond. Very knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. He also helped us find delicious local restaurants to eat at. We would highly recommend him. Also our driver, Ahmed (not sure of his last name) was terrific. He did a great job getting us to all the sites fast and very safe! Plus he always had cold bottled water ready for us.

We spent 6 days with Egypt Tailor Made. Ahmed Zaki (tour guide) and Mohamed (driver) were a great duo in Cairo. Ahmed with his knowledge and kindness and Mohamed stayed calm at the wheel and got us safely from point to point. In Luxor, Aswan and Abu Simbel we had Mohamed F (driver) and Mohamed Naser (guide). Mohamed N knew his stuff and was so kind to us. We enjoyed our sugar cane juice and conversations along the way. Mohamed F was an excellent driver and so friendly. I would use them all again on future trips to Egypt. My only suggestion to the office is to advise of the guides more than a day in advance. Both guides had great suggestions and it would have been good to plan out our trip with them to optimize our time better.

Exceptional service, excellent communication, expert guides (who are educated egyptologists) - cannot recommend enough! We spent 6 days in Egypt, 2 in Cairo with an excellent guide called Heba, 2 days with an equally fantastic Rania in Luxor - the rest were travel days. Overall Egypt Tailor Made, helped ensure that we had a wonderful trip. Definitely recommend using them.

Mr Mansour has been a terrific tour guide. He explained everything in detail and finesse which made the tour very exciting. I really appreciate how punctual he was and how he took care of us during the entire tour. He gave us excellent insight into ancient Egypt and I loved listening to all the stories. I really appreciated him encouraging us to ask questions and I was very impressed with the detailed responses. He made sure the tour ran smoothly despite our flight cancellations. I am extremely pleased with Mr Mansour and I would encourage people to book with this tour to transport back in history.

I am very pleased with how he managed the tour and taught me so much about ancient Egypt. He also went out of his way to make sure we were taken care of and organizing trips around summer heat. I would highly recommend Mr Mansour as a tour guide as he will take you back in time and bring magic to your trip. We spend the second day of our Egypt tour in Luxor. The city is beautiful with the view of the mountains on the West Bank from every angle. Egypt is one place where you actually need a tour guide. Because every symbol you find in the carvings of the monuments has a story. Our tour guide Ahmed Aziz's exemplery knowledge about the history of Egypt made our tour all the more meaningful. By the third day we had become so familiar with the characters in the Egyptian mythology that my daughter was able to recognize them on the carvings on the monuments. Thanks to Ahmed. Thanks to our driver Mamtuh for making the the road trips quite comfortable. Thanks to Mr Walid Fathy, the owner of 'Egypt Tailor Made' for giving us a wonderful team of very professional coordinators, tour guides and drivers and comfortable vehicles. Despite the extreme heat Egypt was an awesome experience.

Khaled was our very good guide for the tour of the West Bank in Luxor including the Valley of the Kings and Valley of the Queens. As we had 5 days in Luxor we decided rather than a Full Day Tour we would split the visit into two half day tours that set off at 7:30am which got us back to the hotel around 1pm so we avoided the hottest part of the day and could enjoy the swimming pool in the afternoon. Khaled was waiting for us in the lobby on both days and imparted on us an explanation of the sights that we were going to see with the key items to look out for. The guides are not allowed inside the tombs so it’s a case of getting enough information before you go in so you know what to look for. We would find a place in the shade and then listen to his knowledge. This worked very well. Highlights for us were the tomb of SETI I tomb and the tomb of Queen Nefertari. We had purchased the 5 day Luxor “Premium” pass for USD 200 and entrance to both were included as well as entrance to the tomb of King Tutankhamen. The premium Luxor pass is worth the extra USD over the USD 100 standard Luxor pass as the entrance to those 3 tombs cost an extra EGP 1,300 (USD 72) for SETI I, EGP 1,400 (USD 78) for Queen Nefertari and EGP 300 (USD 17) for King Tut and you must visit all 3 sights. Simply magic! We enjoyed Khaled’s company and would highly recommend him as a guide. Luxor is a magical place and it would be a shame to misunderstand and miss an important sight as it’s a long way to come back again so go for a good guide who helps you out.

Great tour with our guide Rania: she gave us great information, and took us to the most beautiful temples and tombs. She was very friendly and told us stories in a very engaging way. She was also very flexible with the program and how long we wanted to stay in each place. Would recommend 100%!

I had an amazing tour with the tour guide Rania. She was very knowledgeable and very good English! She helped me with everything from restaurant recommendations to the history of the tombs and made everything easy for me. She also gave me very valuable insight into Egyptian life and was happy to answer my million questions! The owner Ahmed was also great and helped me book everything, so all I had to do was show up. As a solo female travelling in Egypt I wasn’t sure how it would go but they really made me feel secure. Amazing company and tour and would recommend to everyone.
