Perfect Day Tours planned a seamless route from Luxor's temples down to Aswan's High Dam and Philae, with a knowledgeable guide at every stop and smooth transfers in between. Our 4-night Nile cruise from Luxor to Aswan with Perfect Day Tours was a fantastic mix of relaxing and sightseeing. The trip itself was quite luxurious, with comfortable cabins and even a daily high tea on the sundeck. We even had a fun 'gallabiyah night' with traditional music. The absolute best parts were the hot air balloon ride over Luxor at sunrise, giving us incredible views of the Nile and Hatshepsut's Temple, and visiting Abu Simbel. Our guide really brought the stories of Ramses II to life, which made it even more impressive. The only small downsides were the pricey drinks—a soda was about $3—and the spotty Wi-Fi that you had to pay for. Still, the schedule was perfect, with sightseeing in the cool mornings and sailing in the afternoons. If you go, definitely pack sunscreen, light clothes, and some cash for tipping the drivers and guides

Every moment seemed carefully planned for awe, from the massive Abu Simbel temples to Luxor's Karnak Temple at dawn. A strange highlight was the hot air balloon flight over Luxor at dawn, when we were astounded to see the Valley of the Kings painted in gold by the first light. The opulent cruise ship, Sonesta Star Goddess, included a rooftop pool for midday relaxation, gourmet meals that included Egyptian staples like koshari, and a private balcony with views of the Nile. At the temples of Edfu and Kom Ombo, our guide Dyaa Mohamed brought history to life, and the smooth integration of Abu Simbel was well worth the time.
