Mohsen was a good guide. He was knowledgeable and understood the many things about Egyptian history. Highly recommend him, he knows the quick way in and out and the best places to take pictures. His driver Mohammed was also helpful.

Then continue onto visit Luxor Temple which was built by Amunhotep III in 18th Dynasty in the New Kingdom and it was completed by Ramesses II during the 19th Dynasty. King Ramses II was the most famous king and ruled Egypt for about 67 years. It was dedicated to the great god Amun-Ra his wife Mut and their son Khonsu together representing the Theban triad. Enjoy visiting Obelisk of Ramses II in front of the 1st Pylon. Return to your starting point in Luxor.
Day 2

The most known tombs are King Tutmosis I Tutmosis III, Tutankhamun, King Ramssess VI, King Mrenptah and Amonhotep II.
Then journey onto the magnificent Temple of Queen Hatchepsut also known as Deir el Bahari. Queen Hatchepsut meaning Foremost of Noble Ladies was thought to have started the first Trading routes.
Carry on now to the Colossi of Memnon. The Colossi of Memnon are huge twin Statues made from blocks of quartzite sandstone. Tour guide Roshdy was on time, cared about our wellbeing during the bombardment of vendors at the tourist location and waited patiently while we walked and gazed around
What a great tour, it was worth seeing. Valley of the Kings is an experience you will never forget, and the Temples is like a movie set you just can believe your eyes. We had an amazing tour guide Nelly and she was very insightful, knowledgeable and enthusiastic, we learnt so much about the sights and learn to read hieroglyphics and write of ages using this method. Great 2 half days. Thank you
My tour guide, Refaie, was great. He was knowledgeable, easy to talk to, and professional. I would definitely recommend him. Unfortunately, the company was not. They were supposed to pick me up at 7am and I confirmed everything the night before. In the morning, they went completely silent despite several texts and calls. A driver finally showed up around 8am with no explanation. I asked for some kind of courtesy or compensation for the delay to see how they would handle it. Instead, they asked me to pay an extra $100, which was honestly shocking. Very disappointing experience with the company.
We really enjoyed our tour. It’s a lot to see so if you can, do it in two days rather than one so you enjoy it more. Our guide’s name was Abdul and he was professional and succinct telling us interesting bits without going into too much detail. He also shared useful things about Egypt itself and gave us some tips about shopping. We have had 4 different guides in the last week and he was the best of the lot. The tours don’t last the whole day. After the main bit is finished they let you roam around yourself and take pictures and explore. So it’s a nice mix. Our group was slower than most so the first day took 4 hours and the second more like 5. I would advise to visit Luxor temple before Karnak because Karnak is very impressive and Luxor pales in comparison. Also if you can, avoid buying coffee or drinks from inside the temples as the price is 5x what you’d expect. We did visit an Alabaster shop at the end and the prices were very steep but you can knock 80% off them and they become manageable. The quality does look to be great and they’d make for wonderful presents. We didn’t have to visit nor did I feel pressured into buying so I didn’t mind. Finally we did a hot air balloon in the morning of day 2. It was the highlight of Luxor for me. You can organise separately to keep the price lower or do it with Embrace. And you start your tour right after.
We went on a 3 day trip with Hassan Mograpy from Reflections agency. He was phenomenal with explaining the history and very professional. Our trip included the Valley of Kings, Karnak and Luxor Temple, and Temple of Hatshepsut which were all spectacular thanks to his excellent knowledge. Additionally we enjoyed Hassan's guidance so much that we booked him for another day to Dendera temple. He also gave us great advice about navigating the city and trying out all the local cafes and restaurants to get a true Egyptian experience. Thank you very much Hassan! Because of you, our trip was amazing!
We went on a tour with Hassan Mograpy. He was excellent and knowledgeable. He also showed us many of the local cafes and restaurants and took his time with us. We also booked him for a tour to Dendera Temple of Hathor because of how great he was and he was fantastic for that. His company 'Reflections' was very accommodating with ensuring that he was our guide for all three days. Fantastic guide and I would strongly recommend him.
Mr. Ahmed Mosa is a fantastic guide. He is informative and very hospitable. I appreciated his insights into each of the archeological sites we visited. Our driver, Yousef, was equally kind and helpful. I thoroughly enjoyed the two days in Luxor that I spent with these gentlemen.
I had an excellent experience touring sites in the Luxor area. Thanks to Egypt Tours Portal for organizing the tour and special thanks to my guide Marian Azer. She was super hospitable, kind, and very knowledgeable about all the sights we visited. She took care to make connections with each of us (and also kept us hydrated with plenty of fresh water:) ). I loved all the places we went but probably my favorites were the Valley of the Kings and the Karnak temple. Here we saw King Tut’s mummy, lots of beautiful art, and gigantic and ornate temple structures. We also saw the Hatshepsut Temple, the Colossae of Memnon, and the Luxor Temple. Very cool, and highly recommended!
We had a great time exploring Luxor in 2 days. Our guide Moshen was very vell prepared and friendly. He answered all our questions and made sure we were always safe and happy. He took care of everything, it was nice having the car waiting for us after each visit and skipping the queues to buy tickets. We were on a Nile Cruise and didn't know the timing in advance, they planned the visits perfectly.
Thanks to our Egyptologist Mr. Hatem Mahamad for being so kind with our infant. He took us to the places, gave us comfort in every places. The best thing was, he never rushed throughout the entire time. The temples are the places we loved the most. Good experience.
Khaled was a fantastic guide. Super knowledgeable and gave us a great experience. Also was great at giving us our Spence to explore the tombs and the temples at our own pace. Incredibly beautiful day.
The old Egyptian history is amazing and Khaled, our guide, is very knowledgeable. We was also very lucky with the weather and had a great day .
My wife and I recently traveled to Egypt from the United States. While in Luxor, we booked a private tour to visit the Valley of Kings. Our experience was exceptional. On the day of the tour, our guide Khaled was waiting for us at the hotel before our designated pick up time. We visited the Temple of Hatshepsut and the Valley of Kings. We also visited an establishment that makes artisanal products out of alabaster and we were able to eat lunch in a local restaurant as a part of the tour. Khaled was personable and extremely knowledgeable about the history of Egypt and the sites that we were visiting. I would highly recommend booking a private guided tour with him.
Our tour was very bad. First point: we bought and paid (a lot) for 2 days tour for Luxor as we wanted to do everything with calm and having more hours to visit the west bank on 1st day and east bank in 2nd day. The first day the guide told us that we had to do everything in 1 day and of course we replied "no, we paid for 2 full days" (and if we had booked all banks in 1 day the cost was the half). At that point they said "if you do everything in 1 day, we will offer you the lunch" and again we said "no, thanks :) ". Then we started our tour and for hours and hours the guide was constantly talking with the tour agency, in angry way, because they were kind of a negotiate each other to accomplish the 2 days tour... But let's talk about the tour. First day the guide was barely speaking english (let's say not fully understandable) and to be honest was not so expert in sharing the knowledge, definetely. After the visiting, the guide started talking about an alabaster factory, so we were prepared to visit a souvenir shop. The Luxor area is full of these fake alabaster, basalt etc farm/shops. It's all fake, in reality they sell objects made in china with molds that make them look like they were handmade and made with resin materials similar to those of boats. don't buy them! most of the guides will take you to these places (same thing with perfumes and papyrus) because they take a percentage of the sale. Often the exact same thing happens in other countries in the world, but I have to say that the Egyptians are masters at selling fake stuff. Be prepared! On the second day we had another guide was different. He was speaking a better english but the his issue was the rush! Either in the Luxor temple and the Karnak one his explanation lasted about 15-20 minutes. he wanted to rush to the next spot and never gave us time to process what was explained. after all the explanation he left us alone to take pictures and go around. while we were going around alone all the other guides spend much more time in every single point of interest we started listening to the other guides in english, spanish, italian and we learned a lot of things. we also read the signs made by unesco and discovered a lot of information that the guide had not told us. at the end of the visit we met the guide who was waiting for us at the entrance and we asked about all the things learned and he told us that what the other guides or unesco say (for example about alexander the great) is all false.
Our tour guide ahmed ali hassan was the best guide.he didn't left out thing there's to tell.he made every thing interesting.every thing.we saw was amazing.the places are clean and organized, nothing left by surprise.
This has been one of the exhilarating tours that I have ever been on and I have been on many and in different places.. Your guide Barry our guide was the absolute best. He was so knowledgeable of Egyption history that he kept us captivated the whole time and his personality was awesome.. He gave us so much more than we expected. His personality was everything and more and not only did he educate us but he did it with personality and humor when appropriate. The driver was A number one as well. He was kind and absolutely professional. I will most certainly be suggesting them and "Refection Tours" to my friends and others when I get back to the United States. Thank you so very much for this experience. It is much appreciated. Sincerely Peter Doval.✌🏾💙
Just got back from an amazing 2-day private tour of Luxor with Mr. Hany @hany.luxortourguide, and I can’t recommend it enough! Cruising around in a comfy, air-conditioned car was a lifesaver in the Egyptian heat. The flexibility was fantastic—we adjusted the schedule on the fly, spending extra time at sites we found fascinating. It really felt like a personalized adventure. But the highlight was definitely Mr. Hany himself. He’s incredibly knowledgeable about all the monuments and temples, sharing stories and insights that brought ancient Egypt to life. Plus, he’s super friendly and made sure we were always comfortable and having a great time. If you’re planning a trip to Luxor, do yourself a favor and book a tour with him!
The guide for the second day nobi was a nice man and helped me with many things. But the overall contribution of the tour was poor, since these places can be visited by only one day.karnak and luxor temples are very near and the tour for each day finished by 12:30 pm.so what should a tourist do after that. They can easly include some more attractions such as valley of queens and many more places of interest in the city since luxor is a wonder full place with many attraction. This 2 day tour is not worth the price .
Hany our guide was very knowledgeable about the sites we visited. He also gave us practical tips to stay safe and avoid being swindled.
Hany is a gracious and accommodating tour guide who is incredibly knowledgeable about the sites around Luxor. Our driver, Mahmoud, was really nice as well. Overall a fun couple of days, and a great value for having your own private tour guide take you around Luxor. Highly recommend.
Abdo was a very insightful guide . 🤗 He explains very well the history. ( Better than the two other guide we had ) The first day was very cool , we visit valley of the kings , Hatshepsut and Memnon ( 6 h ) , and we visit the small shop oh granite sculpture near temple. You don't have to buy if you don't want , just know that it is something that is done . And second day : Karnak and Luxor temple ( 3 h).
the trip was very good we have the guide Barri. he was very nice guide. we learned about the history . thank you very much I recommended him!
Karnak was an unforgettable experience made all the more special by the fantastic tour guide, Khaled! Nothing was too much! Definitely, an expert in his field! Very professional service, lovely air conditioning vehicle with attentive driver. Couldn't ask for a better way to see the sights of Luxor!
We wanted not to be rushed into seeing all the highlights of Luxor in a single day. This tour mostly did that. However, each day was pretty short. In fact the second day the tour was literally 9:00-11:00am! Hassan the tour guide was very nice and pretty engaging with stories and facts. At the Valley of the Kings I wish we could get into more than 3 tombs. And the second day, I wish we could have done more than just Karnak and Luxor Temples.
My 2 Day tour of Luxor was with tour guide Mohamed. He did a great job in explaining the history of the different temples and the hieroglyphs on the wall. He was very patient and took great photos. I enjoyed my tour overall.
Absolutely terrific. Easier pace than trying to fit everything for 1 day. Keep in mind the valley of Queen is excluded…
What a great tour! Barry was phenomenal. He was tour guide, story teller and himself a student of Egyptian history - it was just fantastic. He pointed out things I would have missed, suggested sequence of stops to have the least crowds and made sure everything ran smoothly so I could just relax, say ooohh and aaah, and take (lots) of pictures of the amazing sites of Luxor. I highly recommend this tour and Barry!
I really enjoyed my relaxed two day tour of the Luxor ancient sites. Abdul was very friendly and informative. His knowledge is excellent in explaining the stories carved out in stone at the temples and provided all the history associated with burial tombs of the Pharaohs at the Valley of the Kings. I toured in air conditioned vehicles and provided with bottled water tissues and sweets - feeling like a king myself ! Thank you Abdul, for a very enjoyable two days - a trip I’ll remember with affection.
Have had a wonderful time in Luxor Egypt on this two day private tour made even more perfect from our wonderful guide Roshdy - he was brilliant nothing too much trouble such a lovely man with a wealth of knowledge would highly recommend Debbie & Steve
Amazing Trip. Great Staff and Tour Guide. All were excellent. Best management and high-quality communication. God Bless them.
Our tour guide, Barry provided us with an amazing 2 day experience. He was extremely knowledgeable and made sure we got the most information in a fun way. We booked last minute, very late the night before, and our trip was confirmed and Barry communicated quickly and efficiently regarding our pickup. Each morning, Barry met us in the lobby of our hotel and we had a great driver in a lovely car with A/C. Barry made our trip unforgettable and we recommended him to our friends traveling to Luxor after us, and they enjoyed him as well!! Book this tour guide service and you will NOT be disappointed! Thanks Barry!!!
We had two great days! Both guides were excellent and made the tours interesting and fun. Highly recommend it!
Barry is a fantastic guide and extremely knowledgable and passionate about his country’s history. Very entertaining and he’s easy company to spend time with, we only wish we could’ve spent longer together to explore more. His spoken English is superb, and even has a great sense of humour, and we laughed all day. Nothing was too much trouble and Barry even insisted on walking us to our ongoing transport at the end of the tour
Informative information given by Sayed my guide on the fabulous sites in Luxor. Karnal and Luxor Temple particularly good and valley of the Kings
Sometimes the words are not enough to describe the absolute experience with a tour guide that exceed your expectations by far. Pick up from hotel, funny and very knowledgeable tour, professional driver. This is what you are looking for! Thank you Barry and reflection tours for that day!
What a day, what an experience! We want to thank the Reflection tours company and our guide Barry for this day! Barry is an absolute professional, very friendly, knowledgeable and passionate about his job. Very smooth experience seeing everything one could possibly see in a day tour, with detailed descriptions of the sightseeings, comfortable transportation from place to place and stops to restaurants and souvenir places that we would never find by our selfs as victors. We visited as two couples and it was just us, which was very nice. Very flexible as well if you want to see additional tombs that are not included in the deal (like tutanhamon etc). So obviously we would recommend this without second thoughts!
We had a good time. Out tour guide Berry is wonderful. He is fun to be with. He is very knowledgeable about the field.
WE DID NOT EXPECT THIS! Surely we'd be dazzled by the antiquities, yet we were even more dazzled by our cicerone (guide) Barry! We laughed, we learned, we lived... and come the tours end, (my wife & I) asked the setting-sun to just slow down the evening's curtain. KUDOS to Reflections Travel! KUDOS to Barry (our new best friend). This isn't hyperbole, our 2-days with Barry were the BEST! 5-STARS? TRY 100-STARS! Jane & Howard, Los Angeles, CA.
My number 1 guide Barry. He has a lot of Knowledge in Egyptian history and made my tour very happy. I will recommend Viator and Luxor and my guide, Barry to all of my friends. Many thanks, Barry.
Barry is an amazing guide! Made me feel very comfortable during the tour. I had a very relaxing time as I explored these amazing sites in Luxor. It was great to have such a knowledgeable person teaching me more about the history than a standard tour. More than that, I got to feel more of the culture during this time. Which for me is important. I like to experience the world rather than see a shopping mall version of it. I would give this 5/5 stars. I wish I had more time here. I would also recommend using Reflection. Wry well structured company.
Our Guide Kamal and Driver Ahmed were top notch! We could not be happier with their attention to detail. What excellent Service! We thoroughly enjoyed our East and West Bank private tour for two couples. It was our first time in Egypt. Kamal was extremely knowledgeable and more than kind ! Our driver Ahmed was professional in every regard. We had two full days at a perfect pace without rushing and they also accommodated our side requests! When we return, to Luxor, we look forward to seeing both of these fine gentlemen again!
Our tour guide was Mohsen. He was amazing and a font of knowledge very good and very helpful. Glad we did the tour over 2 days as was a lot less rushed and time in the day to get back to the hotel and enjoy the sun and pool. Thank you Mohsen you were amazing.
If you want a truly great experience of Luxor book this tour Mohsen is very knowledgeable about Egyptian history and very friendly. I had an awesome time so Thank you!!!
It was a great tour. Roshdy our tour guide had great knowledge about the place and gave detailed information of the sights. He took us to all the places mentioned and helped us in deciding which place to go and which we can ignore. However, there is one issue I would like to mention that light and sound show he recommended, and we did not like it and could have avoided our time and money. Also, the place he took us to have lunch where restaurant owner was a snake and charged us 60 Euros for below average food and we were not happy about it. We had great food (4-5 course) in our 5 star hotel below that price Other than that, the tour was great. He helped us in getting our food choice met and talked to hotel chef about our requirement, took our several photos, took us to shop he recommended which are good shops but you have to negotiate your own price.
What a great tour! Roshdy was our guide. He was super knowledgeable about all the sites we visited and helpful in giving us local tips on things to do. I definitely recommend this tour!
Roshdy was very knowledgeable and made our experience very enjoyable. He would tell us about the sites and then give us time to roam around. We appreciated that. He took us to Africa, where we had one of the best meals we had in Egypt. It was delicious! The driver was was very careful and made the ride very smooth. Overall, it was a great experience.
Amazing trip and even more amazing was the tour guide, Roshdy. He took great care of us and explained everything to us in detail. He goes above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience! On time both the days and even negotiated on our behalf for the items we wanted to purchase
Such a wonderful couple of days and we learned so much! Sayed was a friendly, engaging and funny guide who was able to navigate us safely through all of the sights. One of the days was VERY hot and our kids ran out of gas. Sayed was very understanding and we were able to get the kids cooled off. Our only complaint, and it’s a minor one, was we wish he traveled all the way back to the hotel with us when we were done our tours to make sure we got there safely. Fantastic trip and memories! Thank you Sayed for all that you did for us.
My Dad and I had a great time on this comprehensive trip: our fantastically knowledgeable and humorous guide Huni made this trip a blast, and beyond that, the experience takes out all the time and effort of researching where to go, how to buy tickets, etc. What's more, we did not have to worry about organising travel, with an pristine air-conditioned car taking us from location to location. Word of warning: give the alabaster factory a miss - it's just a hard sell (as would the papyrus place have been, no doubt).
