Eurostars Gran Hotel Lugo

Rooms are ok. Location also near the old city. Food is bad. The caffee is dirty. The food badly cooked. At breakfast they cut fruits as newspaper. No fresh vegetables. Mostly rotten food as donuts and croasans. The fried eggs had bad taste too. No one in the caffeteria speaks English. All employees are slow as snails.

Perfect location, 5min from the center. Rooms are clean and we'll cared for. Plenty of free off-street parking.

Great location for walking into the city (5min). Hotel room very clean and modern. You can hear people above you if they cough or walk around in hard soled shoes.( We were on floor 5). reception=one person was not a happy smiley person ( could do with learning to be a bit more friendly). Aircon was crap, really hot and stuffy in the room , had to open the window and put with the noise outside instead of unable to sleep .

Ok we wanted to love this place. The room was nice. The staff was friendly. Our issue was the air conditioning. It was so hot in the room and it wouldn’t cool. We called to let them know and the moved us to a new room, but it wasn’t much better. The temperature wouldn’t get below 23/74 and had started at 29/84. The outdoor temp overnight was 14/57 so I’m not sure why the rooms were so hot. Granted the daytime temps were up there. Opening the window didn’t help because there was no cross ventilation or draft to draw it in. Outside of that, the rooms were nice and I think it is a solid 4* place.
