Seraphina was our walking tour guide in Lucerne, and she did a very nice job showing us some of the city’s highlights. She shared plenty of interesting history about the area, which added to our appreciation of this beautiful city. We thoroughly enjoyed spending a few hours exploring the charming Old Town and learning more about Lucerne along the way.

It was a rainy day, so we were the only two people doing this tour. Our guide, Serafina, was amazing — so friendly and knowledgeable about Lucerne’s history. She took us to a lot of really cool spots and shared stories that helped enrich our time in Lucerne.

Ana was a friendly knowledge guide who led us through the streets of Lucerne . She made our tour interesting and despite her young age she made an effort to relate to us older women .

This was the perfect tour for us to have as we had just arrived into Lucerne. Seraphina ( I hope I remembered our tour guide name correctly ) was so upbeat and knowledgeable and provided great information without being overwhelming. Seraphina made it fun and gave terrific recommendations of where to eat different foods or places to see afterwards. She covered all the main highlights and shared interesting stories with each one . I highly recommend this tour !!

A very complete tour of the city. Our guide Seraphina was excellent. She knew the history of Lucerne and brought it to life for us, while sharing some funny stories. We saw things we wouldn't have found on our own. Highly recommend.

Luna was a great guide to Lucerne. He shared the history, geography and interesting facts. The walk up to see the 500-year-old clock pendulum was steep but worth it. The views were marvelous of Lucerne, the lake and surrounding mountains. We especially liked the Lion memorial—the story behind it is sad as is the look of the dying Lion in the carved in the quarry stone wall.

We had an amazing tour with Luna! We saw all the highlights and learned so much about the culture and history of Lucerne. Thank you for making an early rainy morning the best introduction to Switzerland!

Walking tour was okay. Learned about the area but it wasn’t anything truly significant. More personal anecdotes would have made it feel more informative. Feel like I could have just listened to an audio recording and received the same information.

There is a lot of walking but it was a comfortable pace. History and context is given for several Lucerne icons.

It was very good. Our guide Luna did his homework and was very knowledgeable about Lucerne and its history. It was a very interesting tour and well worth our time. Make sure you see the Lion it was the highlight of the tour.

Guide was knowledgeable. They don’t have a uniform or badge or anything so it kind of felt weird at first. They’re also apparently forced to take your photo and text it to the parent company which was uncomfortable, to prove they did it or something? There is LOTS of uphill walking and stairs as well so be prepared. Overall learned some stuff but there’s no mic or earpieces so you have to really strain to hear them, especially during the walk and talk sections.

The guide was very good, knew his stuff, but he had a cold and should not have exposed the group to it.

This is a must-see tour. Our guide was so well-versed on the history (dates, persons involved, etc.). It’s a lot of walking with some inclines and a lot of stairs, so be prepared. We got tips for places to eat. Learned so much more about the Reformation, why the Vatican used Swiss guards, and how the country listens to its citizens).

Luna was informative and considerate of our abilities. There is a good amount of walking on cobblestones and going up steps and I'd recommend good shoes. We had climbed the city wall on our own and it was very steep coming down. Luna's way was easier but still had great views. Luna shared great Information about the city's history and the places we'd visit.

Poor communication tour directions. Missed part of tour. Wrong directions to meting point on tickets .

Did the private tour of Lucerne with Sarafina. She was an excellent guide and shared a lot of history about Switzerland and Lucerne. She took us to the places that most tourists go to, but added context you don’t get on your own—and she took us to places that most tourists don’t see which was an added bonus. Great way to get familiar with Lucerne when you first arrive.

I want to give our guide, Seraphina, 5 stars. She is very knowledgeable about the history, culture & people of Lucern. She did an excellent job. The company, Local Tours Expert, however, gets 1 star. We booked a private tour. We arrived at the designated meeting place on time. While waiting, we got a message that the meeting place was changed. We crossed over the river & waited at the second meeting place. While waiting, we received another message about a 3rd meeting place which was located near the original meeting place on the other side of the river. Totally unacceptable. Local Tours Experts needs to do better

Great guide! Fun tour. Walked the entire historic city center. Guide happily took photos (for all who wanted) as we passed pretty sites.

I can`t really say much about the tour as it got cancelled last minute. The tour was due to start at 3pm, at around 1.15pm I got an SMS from an American number and an Email from Tripadvisor saying that the tour was/would be cancelled as the minimum of 2 people did not sign up, BUT if I were to pay for a 2nd person I could have a private tour. I emailed back wihin 15-30 mins and sent a Whatsapp back, saying that I was happy to pay for the 2nd person, but then I got an email around 2.25 pm (and a Whatsapp) saying that the tour had now been cancelled. Bit annoying, that was around 35 mins before the tour was due to commence. Had it been cancelled bit earlier I could have planned something else...

Finding the meeting point and figuring out who our guide was, was tricky. Would have been great to have some kind of signage. The tour itself was great and covered a lot of history and culture. Serafina was our guide and made the tour delightful.
