This high-altitude Alpine wilderness sits in Switzerland’s Bernese Alps and takes pride of place on UNESCO’s World Heritage list. Enjoy the attractions and views during an approsimately 3 hours stay.
Visit the Alpine Sensation — a round-tour subway opened to mark the centenary of the Jungfrau Railway and wander through the Ice Palace.
Take in panoramic views over the Aletsch Glacier (Europe's longest glacier) from your vantage point on the Sphinx Observation Terrace. On a clear day, you can see as far as the snow-capped peaks of neighboring countries!
After your time at Jungfraujoch, ride the cogwheel train down to Eigergletscher, where you will change to the V-Cableway Eiger Express. After approx. 15 minutes you will reach Grindelwald Terminal, where the coach awaits for the drive back to Lucerne.
Your tour will come to an end in the city center of Lucerne in the evening.

At the conclusion of our Switzerland tour, we decided to go on our own Jungfraujoch Mountain. Jurgfraujoch trip takes you to the highest train station in Switzerland. It was very busy and commercialized. But, it is worth it to go to the top and see the sites over the Alps. We took time to walk through the Ice Palace with the beautiful ice sculptures. There are other activites to see and do. Plus nice place to eat.
Jungfraujoch itself was spectacular. Unfortunately, our guide, who introduced himself as “Kid,” seriously spoiled what should have been a wonderful day. He constantly rushed our small group, repeatedly spoke to guests in a rude and condescending tone (including repeatedly saying “Hellooo???” whenever he felt someone was moving too slowly or not complying with his commands) and provided very little actual explanation or meaningful guiding. The worst moment came when he became impatient with my 85-year-old father, abruptly snatched some maps out of his hands and threw them onto a seat. I had to intervene and tell him to calm down and treat people with respect. It is genuinely hard to understand how someone with such poor interpersonal skills and so little awareness of how he was treating guests could be working as a tour guide. The local operator was Hans Meier Tourist AG – Gray Line Zurich. The destination and itinerary were excellent; the guiding was not. If booking this tour, I would strongly recommend checking which guide you are getting in advance. Based on our experience, I would also seriously consider using a different operator. A magnificent destination deserves much better.

It was amazing. Switzerland countryside, from all angles, looks like a postcard, and this tour is no different - plus ending up at the top of the Jungfraujoch is hard to beat. There are different modes of transport and each and every one of them is exciting, due to where it takes you or what the ride is. The tour was expertly organised and led. We had Kid as our guide and he was the most unique and most professional guide I have ever encountered. It is only due to Kid that we will leave Switzerland with this wonderful memory. The tour seems expensive but considered the various modes of transports and where it actually leads, it is worth every penny. Kid is extraordinary. He knows every bend of the track and the best photo opportunities, and is not shy in directing your shot. He is most caring, always looking out for all tour paricipants and especially for potential "weak links" of his entrusted "flock". I travelled with my brother and we both agree - we loved this tour, no doubt, especially because Kid was guiding us.

We had an amazing experience on the Jungfraujoch guided tour from Lucerne! The whole day was very well organised, and our guide 'kid' was the best! He was funny friendly, knowledgeable and helpful throughout the trip. He also took some great photos! The journey through the beautiful Swiss countryside and up to the Top of Europe was absolutely breathtaking. The views of the snow-covered Alps were incredible and truly unforgettable. ❄️🏔️ Everything was smooth and stress-free, and having a guide made the experience even more enjoyable. Definitely one of the highlights of our Switzerland trip! Highly recommended for anyone visiting Lucerne and wanting to experience Jungfraujoch.
Excellent tour. Our tour guide, Kid, was amazing! There was a bit of driving involved but well worth it when you get there.
Absolute fantastic Tour with seamless transfers, excellent tour guide (Raymond) and really allowed us to see the key views and sites without the complicated logistics. Would highly recommend for anyone who wants to go here and not worry about arranging any details we learned a lot about Swiss history and culture as well. You probably need to have some level of physical fitness to move quickly between modes of transportation. Certainly would highly recommend to anyone visiting the area.
The trip to the top was filled with amazing views. Getting there actually surpassed the experience at the destination. I visited the Jungfraujoch 45 years ago so I was saddened to see how much smaller the glacier was. There was significant less snow as well. Our guide was great at directing us to take the best pictures and videos but gave us no information on the history of the area. He did help us navigate us efficiently throughout the process

We had a great time in Switzerland with our tour guide, Kid! He was humorous, creative with photos, and made sure we were well looked after throughout the trip. Our guide Kid was excellent. He has inside knowledge of where to prepare to take pictures, when to take them, what poses and angles etc. He knew what to tell us to be ready to look at. He was very experienced and active. He made the trip fun!

The places are amazing but one problem which is the guide, he is not fit for hospitality like this one and shouldn’t be guiding such group. He is knowledgeable but don’t know who how people receive his comments, I spent sometime trying to find explain to my kids and calming them in order not to be offended by his way of interacting with us.
Fantastic full day trip. Operator allowed to join in Lucerne and go back to Zurich and they stored our luggage on bus which was appreciated. Fantastic trip and easy to book. Do watch the weather forecasts though and try and time your trip for a clear day. Leader was vey helpful and entertaining.

We had an amazing experience. Well worth the money. We had an amazing tour guide ( Kid Dongsaensuk) who was very knowledgeable and knew all the best places for pictures. He made sure everyone was well taken care of the entire day and we have many great memories and pictures.
It’s a full on day trip but that’s what you sign up for. Journeying up to Jungfraujoch by two cogwheel trains and the time spent on the snow/ice is amazing. Views are spectacular. It’s a long but amazing day. Kid, our tour guide was a character and he made sure the day went like clockwork. Only question mark was the point in stopping in Interlaken for 30 mins. By the time you got off the coach it was time to leave!

We considered doing this on our own, but we’re so glad we chose to take this tour instead. It would have been impossible to cover as much ground as efficiently as we did with Kid, our tour guide. He was such a character, took great care of us all day, and had incredible energy. Kid guided us to the best photo spots along the route and knew exactly how to maximize our time between trains and cable cars. He made sure we captured great photos and videos at all the key points, often stepping in to take photos of us. It was refreshing to relax and let someone else handle the logistics. Kid kept everything running smoothly, guiding us seamlessly from one stop to the next. Once we reached Jungfraujoch, he gave clear direction on how to make the most of our time there. Thanks to the efficient transitions, we were able to see everything, enjoy a relaxing lunch, and still stay on schedule for the return journey. We highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for an incredible experience without the stress of planning or worrying about missing connections. It was a fantastic day!

Kid was amazing and made the tour very special. It is a cliche to say the tour guide was amazing but kid was the best tour guide we have ever had and we have travelled the whole world. He took care of every detail on the whole day from where to stand for great photo opportunities to handing us our train tickets seconds before we needed them. He really did go above and beyond for the whole day and took care of us. The tour was amazing but Kid made the tour amazing.

Despite a less than ideal weather with rain and heavy snow, Kid (Tour Guide) lifted the spirits of the entire group with his attention to details and needs of every member in the group. I joined the same tour in Nov 2022 and delighted to have him as our guide again :) It is hard to find a guide like him who goes the extra mile for his guests. Amazing experience. Our tour operator Kid was friendly. He made our trip do memorable. He took pictures at every important spots. Made sure everyone was comfortable and showed us everything in a timely manner. The cog wheel train, the train and then the tour back by eiger express cable car was amazing. This would be our unforgettable experience.
It is a MUST!!! It was an amazing experience with a FABULOUS guide. Kid (guide) was amazing, attentive, and so much fun!!!! Kid made sure we saw all the gems on our journey snd he made sure we walked away with many pictures of my partner and I with the best back grounds. He wanted to make sure you “enjoy your holiday” which he reminded us of often. I highly recommend this day trip. Things to consider…. Bring snacks and water. Be prepared for the cold temperatures and wear comfortable walking shoes.

Fabulous tour! Loved the entire day — train, gondola, the top of Europe. Highly recommend. Wish I had known: Bring a good refillable water bottle, healthy snacks, a hat, and mittens. We were also unclear about lunch options at the top. Kid did a great job of leading, taking pictures, and making the day enjoyable. This is NOT a waste of money!!
We were picked up on time in a very nice motor coach. Our guide Kid was exceptional all day long. He constantly told us what side of the bus or train to be on for the best photo. He took a lot of photos of us together, much better than selfies. Probably the best your guide we have ever had. The content of the tour was the best part. We saw incredible countryside, rode on two different cog railways and 1 large tram. Interlaken is a very touristy town in a gorgeous setting. Jungfraujoch was over the top. An incredible setting between two mountain peaks, stunning scenery, mountains and glaciers everywhere. Loads of people but ample room to get around and take photos. Wear shoes good for walking on snow and ice. A very warm coat and gloves are a must also, especially when going through the ice palace, very slippery and the hand rails were very cold. Helpful hint: if you are prone to motion sickness take some meds even before you get on the bus. Our driver was very good but uou are on winding mountain roads all day.
Be careful! I never received the info and tickets to the excursion until I attempted to get a refund for a Paris event. I spoke a Viator rep and they had my name wrong ……and other this. Note a confirmation number is Not Enough I will review again.
Really a fantastic highlight of our Switzerland trip! Everything was perfect. Got a little altitude sickness but our guide told me to get chocolate and a coke and once outside I’d be fine. He was right. Our guide was so wonderful took amazing pictures. We had perfect weather to see everything. One thing , it is a long day and no eating on the bus and very little time to grab food. So prepare ahead for that. But I highly recommend this.

From the moment I was picked up in Lake Lucerne this trio tops anything I could have imagined! My love for mountains multiplied on this trip. The scenic drive to Interlaken was breathtaking. Going up the mountains on a series of trains, walking through the Ice Palace was not only chilling but beautiful and then onward to the Sphinx Observatory. The views took my breathe away, literally and figuratively. Every direction. The views will be forever etched in my mind. On the way back down the mountain on the Eiger Express Gondola. Our guide did a great job. Really enjoyed the different modes of transportation. The ice castle was awesome and the scenery was breathtaking. Would have liked an additional half hour to spend more time at attractions or shop at the Lindt store. Just felt a bit rushed.

Our guide, Kid, was absolutely fantastic — enthusiastic, organized, knowledgeable, and professional. He really made a huge contribution to our experience! He made sure everything went smoothly, shared fascinating information along the way, and was always happy to take photos for everyone and their families. The tour itself is something you wouldn’t want to try on your own — it’s incredibly well coordinated and definitely worth every penny! The day started on a deluxe coach bus to the charming town of Interlaken, full of quaint shops and eateries. From there, we traveled to Lauterbrunnen and caught the train to Jungfraujoch — wow! We explored the inside of a glacier, enjoyed breathtaking views from the Observatory Sphinx, and visited the well-organized facilities that included gift shops, restaurants, and countless photo opportunities. Our family of four had an amazing time and learned so much from Kid. If you plan to go, be sure to bring warm clothes, drinks & snacks, and comfortable walking shoes. A must-do experience that immerses you into the beauty of the Alps and provides a unique opportunity to explore, learn and engage in the region of Switzerland
This was a great value for all included. Kid was our host. He did a great job of keeping a large group moving through as not to miss anything, even when they tried to do what they wanted. His interaction and photographer skills was much appreciated. He knew where the right spots were for the best shots. The only issue I would mention is the description of the meeting place in Lucerne. The McDonald's is across the street from the Tourism office, but the bus pulls up around the corner. Kid was frustrated that we were not at the right location, but it was due to the instructions.
