Hans and Milan were fantastic. Only issue is would say is our English speaking guide left the tour at Interlaken instead of accompanying us to Grendewald.

Itinerary
A guided coach tour takes you on a scenic drive from Lucerne to Interlaken, at the foot of the snow-covered Alps of the Bernese Oberland.
Enjoy some free time for shopping, strolling around or drinking a coffee. After your time at leisure (without guide) in Interlaken, you'll journey to the well-known holiday resort of Grindelwald, nicknamed the "Glacier Village". You will have time to explore the resort on your own.
Maybe you wish to take an optional cable car ride to the sunny terrace of Mt. First at 7,113 feet (2,168 meters). It is highly recommended for a breathtaking panorama of the Bernese Alps. In the late afternoon you'll meet your coach and guide to make the return journey to Lucerne.
Your tour will come to an end in the city center of Lucerne in the evening.

We only booked one day in advance and the tour offered an English speaking guide so we booked. 99% of the other passengers were going a different tour and we were the only ones doing Grindelwald. The other group parted ways and we went on to Grindewsld. The booking said 3 hrs but when we got of the bus the driver said 4 hrs. No directions as to say …go that way towards town. We felt a little concern when we got to the 3 hr in town, so we called the phone number at the bottom of our email from viator and it was not in service!!! So we thought we better walk back just to make sure and no bus driver. Went back in to own for another hr and came back on time but another couple did not. So we waited and then left and then circled back to get them. Not sure whose number they had. I felt we were the tag alongs for this trip. The guide & driver were nice
This trip was well run and meticulously planned. It was so spectacular even though it was raining and cloudy. Kid the guide was fantastic. He was knowledgeable but came with his own flair and made the trip fun. Michael the bus driver was also great. It felt like we were in safe hands.
Kid “Hello” is phenomenal. No dull moments with him . He knows how to take care of his clients. He takes good pictures and videos. I highly recommend him as a tour guide. He made our tour extra special.
The trip itself is absolutely beautiful - I highly recommend it. Interlaken and Grindelwald are well worth a day to explore, in fact, if in the area - a must! However the reason for only 3 stars was the guide, Kid was his name, was quite rude and unprofessional from the time we stepped on the bus to when we returned. He barked at us (rather than welcome us onboard-poor representation for Viator) and continually threatened to leave us if we were not back on time. There was no narration of the beautiful area we were in on the way up the mountain and back which was expected on a tour. Basically we paid for a bus ride and a rude guide. Had I known we would have booked something other than Viator trip. Interestingly he said he had been doing this for over 15 years!?....but do go see this area - it is spectacular! I would recommend the trip but not with this guide.
Great experience and easy travel to Interlaken and Grindelwald from Lucerne. Plenty of time to explore both towns. Our guide, Kid was hilarious. He is missing out on a Vegas career.
Guide Kid was amazing! Great experience! Visited Interloken and Grindelwald and it was very beautiful!
Was very disappointed, we were on a coach with people going to Jungfraujoch, the guide travelled with them all the way, we were dropped off at Grindelwald, at the bus station, with no guide, & no one to tell us where to go, I had to ask someone on the street, as how to get into the town, he told us to catch a bus, & we could of walked there, would have been nice for the guide to tell us these things
Awesome experience and breathtaking views, taking lots of photos and went shopping as well, but things is a bit pricy..overall great experience for our family 🥰I always love viator..
Viator review This was a great trip but you need to understand what it is and what it is not. It is essentially a very nice bus to get you to other parts of Switzerland that you can’t get to easily with public transportation. Potentially you could take the train, (which would probably be hard to do both places in one day or make for an incredibly long day) but this bus tour is at a convenient time and you see the beautiful Swiss countryside and mountains. The bus came from Zurich already loaded with people and picked us and a few other people up in Luzern. It was a little less than an hour to Interlaken. That is where we got off but the bus took other people somewhere else. This trip to a not a guided tour. Kid, the tour guide, was friendly enough. But he only spoke for a few minutes at the beginning about some general facts about Switzerland, let you know what time to meet back at the bus, and let you know the good photo ops on the drive. He gave us his contact on WhatsApp in case we had an issue during the stops. He was asleep the whole way back. We had just under two hours in Interlaken. That was enough time to go down the street, take photos and admire the view of the gorgeous, snowy mountains, and get some coffee. When we got back to the bus, it wasn’t there which surprised and worried us. But sure enough it showed up, we boarded and it left two minutes early. So make sure you’re not waiting until the last minute. From there, it was over 30 minutes to Grindelwald where we had just over three hours on our own. We booked it over to the gondola and paid (separate from the “tour”) CHF 144 for two tickets up Mt. First (pronounced Fearst). The gondola ride takes 25 minutes and is gorgeous. The views of the alps at the Top of Europe were definitely the highlight of the day, and probably of our whole trip to Europe. We had just enough time at the top to do the cliff walk (awesome) where you’re on a metal grate platform getting even better views. One spot of the cliff walk has an elevated point where we stood in a long line waiting to get our photos with amazing views. If you didn’t do the gondola you would still have pretty mountain views but looking at tourist shops would get boring since you have 3+ hours on your own to fill your own time. Our trip started at 8:30 am and got us back to Luzern at about 6:30 pm. For basically a bus to get us to Interlaken and Grindelwald, we think is think the price was fair. It was a good day trip. ACCESSIBILITY: My wife has bad knees so we brought a walker, which we were able to store under the bus. If you brought a child you could store a stroller down there too (it’s similar to a tour bus in the US). The bus has a handful of steps to get up. Interlaken was flat and easy for her to get around. Grindelwald was steep, which was more of a challenge for her. But she was able to get in and out of the gondolas ok as they are low to the ground at the platform and move slowly. If you want a true guided tour then this is not for you. But if you’re ok with doing your own thing and meeting back at the bus then it is great.
Grindelwald village is 1,034 m (3,392 ft) above sea level. Mentioned for the first time in 1146, it has become an important tourist destination of both Switzerland and the Alps since the golden age of alpinism in the 19th century. It is overlooked by a section of the Bernese Alps from the Wetterhorn to the Eiger, which creates a natural barrier. Together with the adjacent valley of Lauterbrunnen, the valley of Grindelwald forms part of the Jungfrau Region of the Bernese Oberland, between Interlaken and the main crest of the Bernese Alps. Similarly to Lauterbrunnen, Grindelwald is connected to Interlaken by the Bernese Oberland Railway and is the start of the Wengernalp Railway, leading to Kleine Scheidegg. The latter resort is the start of the Jungfrau Railway, the highest railway in Europe and a gateway to the Jungfrau-Aletsch protected area.
Our guide, Kid, was very extremely aggressive, and made our group very uncomfortable. We were left off in Interlaken, without and maps or any direction. Unless you want to buy expensive watches, the town was disappointing. The town of Grindelwald was nice, and we could shop and get a good lunch. I have never written a poor review, of the very many experiences I have had with Viator, but this was the first and hopefully only bad review I will ever write so that I can warn other travelers.
THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!! The guide, Kid was the rudest, curt and weird person I’ve ever met. Walks around the bus showing photos of himself dancing around like a badly dressed clown. The tour was ‘The Kid Show’ he wanted to be the centre of attention all day. His jokes were incredibly inappropriate and NOT funny! I was 3 minutes to the bus at Interlaken. The bus was gone. Can you imagine how that felt, being left in a foreign country by myself. I panicked and i was scared. I had NO idea what to do! The company don’t care and blamed me. I don’t care too much about missing most of the trip which cost so much money. This is about how I was treated. All these bad reviews about Kid and he’s still the same! Shame on you Grayline!! Spoilt my trip and many others. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!!!
Our tour guide Kid was annoying. At first he was funny and entertaining, but by the end of the tour he was rude, bossy and otherwise obnoxious. We sat in the front seat of the bus on the trip back to Lucerne and there was a tire pressure warning on the truck console. The driver came close several times to hitting another car, and at one point the whole console lit up in orange when he stopped suddenly. We enjoyed going to Harder Kulm on our own and seeing Interlaken from above. We probably could have seen Interlaken and Grindelwald on our own without booking the tour.
What a waste of money! Except for the wonderful guide, Kid, the rest is nonsense and a waste of time. This tour is practically the same as the Jungfraujoch Top of Europe Day Trip, except that instead of paying to go to the top you pay to stay down at Grindelwald for 3 hours waiting for the rest of the tour whom the guide took to Jungfraujoch!!!!! A real big scam!!!!
Too short a stay in Interlaken and to long a stay in Grisenwald with nothing to do. There was more to see in Interlaken and we were there a short stay. On bus - could have given us mnore information about the 2 cities.
Had a great experience in this trip and the guide also giving information about places and pick up time was on time
Travelling right into the Alps was breathtaking for us. We loved the scenery and were privileged to see festooned cows running through the streets on their return from their high pastures. The towns seemed full of happy relaxed people -- both locals and visitors enjoying late Fall sunshine and exquisite views up into the precipitous mountains. We were absolutely spell bound by the beauty of the houses and the countryside.
Scenery was amazing..but the tour was just for transport really. The guide wasn't really helpful at all. He confused people on timings and meeting points and didnt clearly explain what happens on the trip. We were unaware that you can go on the cable cart during the trip but for a heavy price. We felt us and a few others that didnt want to pay that price of around 300 franks were forgotton about. The bus driver was awesome and tried his best to show us some spots whilst the others went up the hill otherwise we would have of stayed in the bus for 1.5hr whilst the others went up the hill. Guide didnt seem to do his job really, just seemed focused on the cable cart and taking the money than anything else. We also felt he was not really approachable. He was more interested showing his instergram page to everyone, which we didn't really care about. We felt the bus driver knew a lot more and was way more approachable and nice. I wouldn't recommend this trip as its not worth the money for the guide you get. I would recommend getting a car and going over that way. The scenery was awesome though and we enjoyed seeing the views.
Great trip. I love it.Beautiful view Well planned Would recommend to families and friends Thank you Viator.
Fantastic day, our tour guide went above and beyond taking care of us, we had heaps of fun. He made sure we got the full experience of the day. One of our best memorable day of our holiday. We would recommend this tour to everyone.
this is not a tour..this is only transportation..useless and waste of money ..we got down at interlaken and didn't continue .. the guide was rude .the driver wasn't good
None as negative aspects wiped out any good ones Too long and guide only focused on Jung and should have been 7 hrs max as we waited for Jung tour
Rent a car and go by yourself! You can drive a lot better then the aggressive driver we had… my daughter was sick from swaying back and forth so much and i couldn’t even take pictures of the scenery because I was too busy praying for our safety. (Literally) Coming back we almost side swiped a vehicle on the highway…. Just take yourself… you’ll be safer!
Ok, so we had a great time. Viator did a great job and once again lived up to their word. However, honestly the only reason I gave 3 stars is because… for the most part, they simply gave us a ride to Interlaken and Grindelwald— No tour or anything, which was fine, because you don’t need a “tour”. If there was any way you could get an Uber or rent a car, that is the way to go. The trip to the destinations were gorgeous and I would have loved to stop to take pictures.
I would’ve given it 5 stars if not for the 1-hour delay (due to a pick-up time misunderstanding betwen the bus driver & the tour guide). We basically lost an hour’s chance to enjoy Interlaken more. Anyway, i would still highly recommend this tour especially Grindelwald which is so picturesque.
Tour director was terrible, rude, not helpful which started the excursion off on a negative note. Luckily we did not do the long version of the excursion so we did not have to put up with him!!!
We were surprised that our tour visit placed was changed to accommodate others tour places. So interlaken only 30 minutes and add one other city and we need to wait 40 minutes for other tour people coming back so we didn’t get back to Luzern until 7:00 pm 😞
Had a wonderful day highly recommended. The bus driver Almondo went over and above to make our day enjoyable. He was so informative and allowed us plenty of time to enjoy.
Spent a couple hours in each little mountain town. Good food. Beautiful scenery and plenty of shopping.
The guide ‘kid’ from Thailand made this trip amazing . He put in additional effort to make the trip memorable for every participant
We booked this tour on a Sunday. After we were picked up and boarded the bus we were informed that shops, restaurants, attractions etc (everything mentioned in the description of the tour) were closed on Sunday's and we would have nothing to do. We were advised that we would be dropped off while the rest of the bus went on the top of Europe tour and the bus driver would come back for us. We were told the bus driver did not speak English. Without any other options we felt we were forced to pay extra to go on the top of the Europe tour. This tour should not be allowed to be booked on Sunday when it’s known nothing is open. As the guide goes with the top of Europe tour this is just a bus ride and not a tour as advertised.
Mountains were beautiful to see. What we did not realize when we booked this was that we were on a bus with people who were going up the mountain. The guide man tried to upsell me and my friend to purchase the "better" excursion on the bus. We also did this on a Sunday and most shops were closed. Nowhere on the site did it warn that this was the case. We had to wander around the town for a while before the bus came to pick us back up because the other group's excursion up the mountain took a while. The scenes are beautiful and the towns were as well but the free-time given was way too long.
It was amazing. I never get tired seeing the view and in my photos.. Great experience. Never miss the spectacular view of lauterbrunen
One of the other reviews mentioned that the tour guide was more interested in the larger group and they are correct. there was only 10 of us on the interlaken grindlewald tour and the rest of the bus was going to jungfrau. with that said this is more of a drop off tour then anything else. while both places are pretty there isn't hours worth of things to do in either place so be prepared to ,at some point, to sit and wait for the bus to come back and pick you up.
Interlaken, Jungfrau, and Grindewald are places not to be missed. The scenery was epic and our tour guide was wonderful
Awful. Guide was horrible. Contact number they gave us didn’t work. Contacted guide office and they didn’t care. The bus left us in Interlaken and we were at the bus stop 5 minutes early. Cost me an extra 115 francs to get Grindewald to catch up with tour. Better to take train from Zurich to Interlaken and grindewald. Do it on your own.
Biggest recommendation is spend more time in Lauterbrunnen ( 30-35 min is not enough) and much less time in Grindelwald. 4+ hours is more than enough. Also fix your photo option. Tried numerous times with only error results.
Stay in Interlaken as your base accommodation then have a day trip to Luzern, Grindelwald, Lugano, Zermatt many other locations that only takes about 1 - 2.5 hours by train
I was on a limited time visit to the area. As a solo traveler, I selected this group as a less expensive option to renting a car. The two village tour was a "drop off" type offering. The bus driver (very nice) opened the door in each village and we were on our own. The driver provided more directions than the tour guide. The tour guide (also nice) was on the bus for another tour group. He took that larger group to the next destination and acted as a guide. I would recommend this two village tour, if you are a solo traveler or perhaps a couple. It is less expensive than renting a car. If you are a larger party and only interested in seeing Interlaken and Grindelwald, I would suggest renting a car.
The trip itself was fantastic found the guide a little bit hard to understand. Also felt he could have give a little bit more info along the way of places we were passing
Our tour bus came from Zurich, so we got a later start (9:30). It was combined with the Jungfrau tour so some of us stayed in Interlaken and Grindelwald, and some went to the mountain-top. Our tour guide was with them, so he didn't really add any value. We had one short hour in Interlaken and four hours in Grindelwald - it's beautiful, a must-see. The train runs to both cities from Lucerne, so if you are comfortable with that, I recommend doing your own self-guided tour and being able to adjust your times in each place and leave when you want.
It was a beautiful experience. The tour guide Kid was really good. Had a good laugh with him. Interlaken is a nice little place but didn’t get to spend much time there. We upgraded to go to the Top of Europe jungfraujoch which is a bit expensive but it’s very foggy so there wasn’t really much to see. It’s disappointing but nothing we can do about the weather. We never get to see Grindelwald apart from the train station. Wish we had spent a bit time to see the place. It was really a rush to go back to the bus. But the scenery on our way was breathtaking.
The only reason we took the bus tour was for the commentary on the drive up. Kid our driver was rude and only said photo opp ready 123. We did not receive info on things to do at each stop nor maps. Which we received from the bus driver later in the day. Interlaken is for tourists Grindelwald was amazing. We discovered the Cliff Walk by accident. Great day (-Kid).

Great tour!. Best way to go to the top of the Europe. Peter is very funny and caring. Definitely recommended.

The tour guide was rude, pushy, and treated everyone very rude. Me and my wife enjoyed it because we selected a different tour than most of the group and were alone most of the day to wandering Grindelwald and Interlaken, i couldnt imagine spend the entire day with the guide!! Great places, bad guide.

We only spent about 35 minutes in Interlaken and 5hrs in Grindelwald. Wish it had been split at least 2hrs and 3hrs. 5hrs was too long to spend on your own in a strange place without a tour guide. I think this tour should be changed to include the midway trip to Jungfraujoch and not leave people for 5hrs in a small town. We were done touring in about 90mins. All in all it was a great experience and the bus guide was very warm and pleasant.

Tour guide did not do much except to bring us to the destination. The guide could have done better by explaining more stuff about the city, and to give some tips/guidance on what we could do in Grindelwald. It was purely just organizing transport, not really a "tour".

The pickup was very punctual and our guide Barbara was clear and concise i her instructions and offered the Jungfrau upgrade to us on the bus which we declined as we had bee to Jungfrau before. The weather was bitterly cold that day bu we were just able to walk the 2 hours at Interlaken and met up with the drive Emile punctually. We found out that the group going to Jungfrau could not make the journey as the winds were way too high and the entire group proceeded to Grindelwald where due to the low season, many of the shops were still shut. The minus degree cold and snow meant we hid out in the warm restaurants waiting for the pick up. I am of the opinion that it was just bad weather and Barbara and Emile did their best despite the weather challenges placed before them. I would recommend this trip if weather was more forgiving and less harsh but do bear in mind that this is more a transfer to attractions with little guided component which was what i wanted and expected and not to be expected to be run as a full guided tour.

This was a lovely tour, I didn't do the option to go to the Jungfrau but the recommended cable car ride in Grindelwald was absolutely stunning. Just gorgeous. A wander around Interlaken was also lovely and the additional free time in Grindelwald allowed good exploring. The scenery and countryside is also stunning. I highly recommend this trip.
