Very pleasant indeed. Perhaps I was lucky as the place seemed quite empty, however the atmosphere was extremely relaxing and the service was impeccable. You may want to decide in the hotel whether to have the breakfast or not, as opposed to including it from the start.

Villa Maly Hotel Luang Prabang offers an exceptional luxury experience with very good service, excellent breakfast buffet, and a beautiful, relaxing swimming pool.
I stayed three nights with my family, and the experience was flawless from beginning to end.
The atmosphere is calm and refined, making it a perfect place to unwind and feel truly cared for.
Special thanks to Mr. Baptiste, the General Manager, who is incredibly kind, professional attentive and always available for his guests.
Highly recommended for a memorable stay in Luang Prabang.

Cannot say enough BEAUTIFUL things about this place. The staff: super helpful, always there to assist. We stayed there on and off for over a week as we bopped around Laos, and each time our stay with them was delightful. They allowed me to switch rooms when I wanted something quieter and they allowed us to leave our bags when we went on a two day excursion. The rooms are clean, the beds and linens comfy and the hot water plenty. Loved our stay, would recommend!
Charming boutique hotel that used to be a palace. Great location to the night market. Lovely pool and gardens. Wonderful and warm staff with big smiles. However not all the rooms are the same- we had room 27 and the bathroom had no enclosure so when you took a shower everything got wet! It was one open concept. And to get there were steep stairs. Luckily we were able to get a lovely room closer to the breakfast area where the shower was enclosed. Would recommend all older rooms have an enclosure.

Rooms are facing in a scenic courtyard with a beautiful swimming pool surrounded by a gorgeous nature.
The room was comfortable and clean. The breakfast served in a cozy terrace was very varied and plenty of home made food. Also the dinner was fantastic, for sure the best we had in Luang Prabang!
