Absolutely stunning property overlooking the Mekong. It really felt like stepping back in time and was such a peaceful, relaxing place to stay. The staff made it even more special. A big thank you to Milo and Souli for taking such great care of us at breakfast, Bird for arranging everything and making sure all our needs were met, Simon at reception, and Kam for driving us into town and to the airport. A beautiful hotel with wonderful people. We loved our stay!
I came here for a late night meal and really enjoyed the experience. The atmosphere was beautiful and the location offers a stunning view of Mekong River. The hotel itself is impressive and elegant, almost like being in a palace. It was also special to see the former residence of Prince Phetsarath which gave the place a very peaceful and historic feeling. Unfortunately, it was cloudy today, so we missed the sunset. However, every dish we ordered was delicious. My only regret is that I didn’t take any photos!
My wife and I had dinner at The Grand Luang Prabang, and it was truly a memorable evening. The food was absolutely delicious, and we received such a warm and genuine welcome from K. Bella at the moment we arrived. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. Considering the excellent quality of both the food and service, the prices were very reasonable. I would highly recommend opening your heart to the charm of Luang Prabang, and if you visit, don’t miss the opportunity to experience The Grand Luang Prabang. It is a wonderful place that perfectly reflects the warmth and hospitality of this beautiful destination.
We loved our 3 night stay at the Grand. We appreciated the location being 4km from the town centre. It was serene, quiet and it felt like we have been transported to the past where things move at a much slower pace. The hotel sits on 6 hectares of land at the bend of the Mekong River. The views of the river are magnificent. We loved the staff for their friendliness, attentiveness and genuine care during our stay. We would definitely come back to stay here again.
Arrived in Luang prabang after a long journey, we were delighted to be delivered to the doors of this lovely colonial styled hotel. We had a cocktail sitting looking over the banks of the river and felt utterly at peace and happy. The staff are charming and easy to smile. The room was spotless and had a view of the lawns that were manicured by gentle water buffalo. A swimming pool makes this a nice retreat for a couple of days, and despite grander days, the hotel does a great job to retain it's slightly elite feel and cleanliness. They provide an hourly shuttle bus to the centre of town very close to the night market, and I believe you can also be collected and returned to the hotel. It was great to spend a couple of nights at this lovely hotel, and then a couple of nights in the centre. Who doesn't love Luang Prabang..
