Am giving this a one star only due to the location. It is bang in the center of most of the attractions. Otherwise it doesn't deserve any stars. What did not work for us(my husband and I) We were given room 201 initially it was looking fine until we started using the restroom. The water in the shower and wash basin was trickling down and it's impossible for anyone to brush and bathe in that water pressure. When asked they said it's a festival season and no plumber available. We stayed there for 3days They shifted us from 201 to 104 since the water pressure was 10% better than 2nd floor. But we found it very very difficult to finish our morning chores with that kind of water pressure. Not only that 104 room was very dusty with flying insects and ants. It kindled my husband's dust allergy badly. Their complimentary breakfast was bread, butter, eggs and yoghurt only. It is not a buffet spread it will be brought if ordered and they take 20 to 25mins to bring bread and eggs. Our stay was really a nightmare and not at all pleasant. Looks like we were the only guests here and all the other rooms had the same issue with water pressure OR if the pressure is manageable the room had no locks and carpentry work was happening. In such a state Please Don't Accept Bookings Since they don't understand English it was extremely challenging to talk through the translator app and make them understand. Our vacation was good except any part associated with this hotel.

Very basic room, door didn't lock easily with very old door and lock. Bed was like sleeping on the floor so hard, zero view and place was empty but wouldn't move me to a room with a view.Staff were nice and friendly. Definitely would not stay again better hotels in location.
This hotel has an exceptional location that none in town could beat. It's right in center of all famous attraction places, opposite to National Musium (back gate), next to Morning market, next to Wat May Souvannapoumaram, few walks to Night Market & Phousi Hill (about 60m) and less than 100m to Mekong River but not noisy, out of my expection ! It's an old mansion but everything is well-maintained, updated amenities, big room with big bed and pleasant decoration, beautiful garden. Staff is friendly and well-support. They could help you to arrange transport to Kuangsi waterfall (1200k kip for private car, 130k kip for shared minivan) and Mekong sunset cruise (20$). Check-in & Check-out are both quick. I have nothing to complain except plain breakfast that only be American breakfast. Overall, this hotel is a good choice in Luang Prabang.
Incredible location with simple and short access to local attractions including, national museum which shows the royal history, mt phousi with a 10 minute climb for an amazing view above luang praubang which was well worth it and, the mighty mekong river. The rooms were clean and smelt very nice and the service and tradition was perfect.
It's a good place to take a walk to the morning and night market, but lastly, this is my experience. Room smells like mold. Place filthy disgusting. Bed sheets seem like they were not changed because I found hair laying when I yank the blanket. Also, first and foremost, don't leave your valuable items behind. We had asked the staff not to clean our room, and still they proceeded to. After we checked out of their hotel, and country already, we found out that our money was missing. I had email the place but they did not respond back. TAKE YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE. I DON'T EVEN UNDERSTAND HOW DID THEY GOT 4 STARS.
