TRAVEL AGENT FRIENDS! Important safety alert! I am traveling with a group as their leader and manager of our tour department currently in Lourdes, France. We are staying at Hôtel Mercure Lourdes Impérial. The door to my room does not close properly due to being broken. See picture of broken door closer and a proper one on another room door. There are NO safes in the rooms at this hotel. Someone gained entry to my room and stole money that I had brought for tips for the tour. The hotel manager not only has been rude and unhelpful she stated that if I did not have a picture of the money she did not believe it existed and further tried to discourage us from contacting the police. In 20 years in the travel industry I have never experienced such behavior. Please do not place yourselves or your customers here!

My first time overseas & Rooms are definitely not my expectation. There were 2 of us in one room. Beds were twin sizes side by side. Not much space for big luggages. Upside- My view was great! Staff was friendly! The hotel is Close to everything. HAS A ROOF TOP! Late night was fun, people party hard until 3am in the streets (if noise doesn’t bother you). The hotel did its job and I can’t really complain.
We had a relaxing 3 nights in Mercure Imperial Hotel. Room was clean and beds & pillows were comfortable. The best part was having the most beautiful view of the mountains and river. It’s only a few minutes from the Basilica and Grotto. Breakfast was good. Always fresh bread and had a variety of foods. We will definitely come back and stay here. Merci! Au revouir!
The hotel is excellent. The location is a five-minute walk from the Sanctuary. The furniture, electronics, and bathroom fixtures in the room are not new, but everything works. The bed and mattress are comfortable. We checked in late in the evening, and check-in was very quick. One downside is the paper cups instead of glass or ceramic mugs, although we were given mugs and glasses at the hotel bar . Overall, I recommend this hotel: although there are cheaper options nearby, this is the most comfortable chain hotel in Lourdes.
Our room was adequately sized for our group of four and very comfortable, with a view of the river. Notably, the separation of the bathroom from the toilet room was a particularly appealing feature. The hotel's location was not far from the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Lourdes and the Grotto, making it very convenient for walking. Added attractions included its proximity to restaurants and souvenir shops. Everything was accessible. The hotel had good breakfast choices. Overall, we had an excellent stay at this hotel.
