I was supposed to be at this hotel but with some unknown technical problem I was diverted to a hotel named Peyramale 200m away.. So my review goes to the Peyramal not Du Gave My 2 stars of service belong to 2 ladies at the reception "Océane and Jana" who were young and beautiful and very helpful. The woman who welcomed me named Pilar was the not among the good person I met in Lourdes. I had specifically asked for an early check in and it was approved but this woman was not the nicest even when she spoke. I truly don't know if she belongs to this hotel or the DuGave but she gave a bad image of the hôtel. Room is correct. I had asked for a balcony which also was confirmed and I ended up with a tiny window as for light. Lunch was unavailable because apparently a whole group had reserved the whole area. I had to go under the rain to have my own lunch while waiting for my room.... Cleaness is fair. Shower is tiny I am barely 1 60 and I can't fit No soaps or anything except for 2 towels🙄 Barely 4/10 Not to recommend except for the location about 15mn walk from Sanctuary and Grotto. PS: praise to Jana and Océane and to the kitchen team who prepared a special on request early dinner for me.

This has got to be one of the worst hotels I ever stayed in the rooms were disgraceful if we needed anything we had to come out and go to doors down and they have the worst English ever not helpful at all.the wardrobe was like a tallboy bathroom you have to turn sideways its that small.had to get out of bed to turn wall lights on and off disgraceful to say the least
The beds were comfortable, there was hot water. The staff were polite. Otherwise: electrics hanging off walls, doors and fixtures poorly painted, everything hanging off and poorly done. Electric cables hanging off walls in room and stairwells, fuseboard in corridor exposed without cover, architraves missing. Awful vinyl work in the shower. The toilet was too small so you can't close the door while using it, not so nice for your partner to watch you having a number 2. Sliding door on shower didn't close completely and was not secure at the base. Huge stain on the carpet in our room. Cleaning trolley left at the bottom of the stairwell all night so we had to climb over it when coming in and out. The rooms are a perfect example of why a hotel should use professional contractors to refurbish the rooms. Poor/substandard quality of work. It's a shame to see as all of these issues could be easily fixed by someone who cared about the place at very little cost, so it seems the place needs some love, care and attention. I would say 3 star hotel is a stretch to say the least, especially due to the safety issues.
Anyone complaining about a room is crazy! What do you expect for 50 bucks!!! It's cheaper than a backpackers! Yes it run down but absolutely great for what u pay for, a comfy bed, hot water, a TV and an amazing view .. also 10/10 location! if u don't like it find somewhere better for that price.. unlikely.
Very nice hotel for a reasonable price with a very nice couple running it. The wife even made me a free cup of tea while I waited for my room to be ready (I arrived super early) and the husband was very helpful with figuring out how to take the bus to the airport. The room was clean and comfortable. All around good stay.
