Touring with K’s exceeded our expectations! Communication was clear, pick up times were spot-on and Kin’s knowledge and storytelling made the day exceptional. Yes, the tour at Whitney was profound. But the ride getting there and back again was also FULL of insights and information. A couple extra stops that showed us more of the area were a huge bonus. Kin was so professional but also approachable and wherever we went he was known. You are in the hands of a real local entrepreneur who knows and loves New Orleans. You cannot go wrong booking with Kin!

Laura is a French Creole plantation that was run by four generations of French Creole women.
St. Joseph Plantation was a wedding gift from her father Valcour, who was one of the wealthiest men of his time.
This historic site is dedicated to preserving and interpreting the history its inhabitants left behind. With an emphasis on its time as a working sugarcane plantation and view the iconic Allee of Oak Trees.
To close out the day, you will take a 45-minute ride back to the city on the Bonnet Carre Spillway Bridge overlooking Lake Pontchartrain before heading back to your hotel.

Driver was not only charming, respectful but had missed his calling as a stand-up! Really knowledgeable about the area and made the trip complete for us. We would highly recommend this tour, especially if you are looking for an ethical tour of the plantation and wanting to know and understand the history..good or bad..listening to the personal accounts of those that matter and should never be forgotten.
Our tour guide was amazing, and the plantation tour was very informative and focused on the enslaved people which I understand A lot of plantations are not doing now which is terrible!
This was the best experience of our trip to New Orleans. Kindrell, our driver and guide to and from the Whitney Plantation, was amazing. He was engaging and informative, making the travel time enjoyable. The vehicle was safe, comfortable, and spectacularly clean. The tour at the plantation was life altering. A somber experience with the history presented in a respectful and truthful manner. The grounds and exhibits are fantastic. The staff was terrific and very helpful. Definitely worth the time and money!
This was hands down one of the best tours we’ve ever done! Ken was absolutely incredible. He was so knowledgeable, engaging, and genuinely passionate about what he was sharing with us. His hospitality was unmatched from the moment he picked us up to the very end of the tour. Ken went above and beyond to make sure our family felt welcomed, comfortable, and truly cared for throughout the entire experience. He brought so much heart and personality to the tour, and you could tell how much he genuinely loves what he does. I truly cannot say enough wonderful things about this tour or about Ken. He honestly made our trip and gave our family such a memorable experience. We had the absolute best time, and if you’re considering a Whitney Plantation tour, book this one and hope you get Ken! You won’t regret it!
I would recommend going to Whitney Plantation to everyone that goes to New Orleans. This is an excellent tour, and actually one of the highlights of my trip to New Orleans. They explain there experiences of the enslaved persons from a respectful and intelligent view. They don't make it touristy, or try to gloss over the experiences of the enslaved people on the plantation. Our guide was Amy and she was excellent. at explaining everything. I want to give Amy extra credit for explaining the experiences and the viewpoints, as well as they can document of the enslaved people that were on this Plantation, I cannot say enough good things about this tour. If you come to new orleans, please check this out!!
K's Transport is a gem! Kin was so pleasant and hospitable and full of information regarding New Orleans History. We are so happy we picked the Whitney Plantation Tour plus transit as it was a much deeper experience than just looking at plantation grounds. We got the deep rooted history of the Whitney Plantation, although it was heavy at times, we appreciated that the history was told by one of the descendants of the plantation. We were looking for a more meaningful experience, not a touristy one and this was the experience for us!! I have already recommended it to friends and family.
"5 STARS" Kindrell from K's Luxury Transportation and Tours was fantastic. First the tour was well planned and educational. We gained a deeper understanding of the history of plantations and enslaved people. Kindrell confirmed our pick-up time the night before and was on-time picking up my two sisters and myself. The ride was conformable and Kindrell gave us an overview of what we were going to see before arriving at Whitney Plantation. The guide at the plantation, was amazing as well. I would highly recommend this tour.
The driver was knowledgeable and humorous. Because of this 70 minute drive seemed like a 25 minute drive.
Excellent experience with Kindrell for our tour of the Whitney plantation. Kindrell arrived to pick us up on time and was very polite and professional. He had extensive knowledge of the local area and stopped by the local plantations on our way to and from the Whitney plantation. We were even able to get a photo opportunity infront of Oak Alley plantation where Beyonce shot her music video. I learned alot and had a great time. Would definitely recommend.
Our driver/ tour guide was very knowledgeable and entertaining. I would definitely recommend this tour.
Awesome tour! Very informative and friendly.
Had a great time with Kin (not Ken ;))! He was a great guide, ver knowledgable, very funny and had lots of good stories and anecdotes. The small group size was also really nice, so that it felt like a really private experience with space for everyone. Whitney was a very interesting visit, but also heartbreaking. A completely eye-opening experience, and an absolute MUST when visiting New Orleans. Especially if you're interested in history.
The tour guide is very informative, friendly and funny on the ride to the Plantation. The Plantation is very educational, the guides there are great at retelling the history.
Very knowledgeable and hilarious! Kin even gave us a multitude of restaurant recommendations. Really a 6/5
Kindrell was an awesome driver and guide. He kept us entertained throughout and he provided valuable insights and information. I would 100% recommend it. The interpreter at the plantation was phenomenal too! We didn’t realize that a different person was going to lead the plantation tour at first, but it was great!
The driver was excellent and very knowledgeable and the tour itself was very very well done interesting, knowledgeable, and learned a great deal from the guide who is excellent
Highly recommend Kentrell tours. Excellent service and very knowledgeable and professional. Tour is outlined accurately and on time! If you ever want to do a tour this is your guy!
Very informative about slavery and Louisiana culture. Will recommend this educational tour for anyone.
I would highly recommend the Whitney Plantation because they speak the truth from the perspective of the slaves. Our travel to and from was also excellent. Kin picked us up and dropped us off at our hotel and talked about the history of New Orleans during the ride.
Best experience ever Kin was super awesome was so impressed and informative. Recommend 10/10. Provided water and explained so much about New Orleans that I had no idea about. Thank you see you again
This tour is an excellent choice and Kin is an excellent choice of a driver and tour master. He was prompt in picking us up at our Hotel and is an educated historian along the ride to the Plantation destination. We had a better understanding of New Orleans and Plantation life along the Mississippi. He gave us tips on dining and Kin stood out and made the difference to us. The tour of Whitney was fully enlightening of Plantation life. You won't regret calling Kin "K's" transport/tour business to tour Whitney Plantation. We even saw some alligators along the drive.
Kin is a great guide! Love the experience!
This is a part of our American history that is important for everyone to learn. I truly appreciated the people from various backgrounds who were there to learn.
Amazing! Kin was an amazing tour guide. Very knowledgeable and very nice. Kin definitely helped me to learn more about the culture of not only the Whitney plantation but also New Orleans. Being that this was my first time, he provided a great experience and definitely a place I see myself coming back too. Thank you Kin for your warm welcome and true “southern hospitality”, till next time New Orleans ✌🏽
Our Driver Kin was so knowledgeable and kind. He was funny and went above and beyond for us , made everyone comfortable and don’t his door
Mr. Kindrell Faulk was our driver and guide to the Whitney plantation. He was very knowledgeable, attentive, and funny. I highly recommend him. I will definitely be using him as our guide on our return to New Orleans.
AMAZING! Entire tour was from the slaves eyes. Total reverence for slavery. Thank you Ms Susan (tour guide).
Kin is a world-class entertainer and host who will make the trip out and back fly by. The guides at the plantation are amazing as well, with a deep education on the history of the area and the lineages that came through Whitney. We were able to hear several stories direct from people that lived on or had family on the plantation- truly a look back into the history and the life of slaves in the south. A needed history lesson for the fully history of this unique area.
Kin was a great tour guide. He picked us up on time and shared many fun facts. Highly recommend!!
We did the Whitney Plantation Tour through Kendall Faulk. As the owner and driver, he took excellent care of us, keeping us informed and entertained on our entire journey. We covered all ranges of topics. The visit at Whitney Plantation itself was excellent. Highly recommend you do this tour if you wish to hear about the history of slavery from the perspective of slaves and to hear the history based on the research done of those that lived on the plantation. Excellent tour, money well spent.
Such a great day!! Transportation and tour of the Whitney Plantation from New Orleans. Personalised pick ups. A small group of us driven with great care in a spotlessly clean mini van. Comfy journey and a bottle of water included. Knowledgeable narrative by Kin (assisted by a little microphone for clarity) throughout the journey explaining the area and local history focusing on the background to the Planatation era and the exploitation of people of colour forced into a lifetime of slavery. A short video film related to the Plantations played in the vehicle as we returned to make the journey appear shorter! Kin obviously works so very hard to make his business the absolute best, proving excellent service with clear and courteous directives throughout. We were taken care of very well. This Plantation tour will not disappoint and the day is made exceptional by the wonderful service Kin provides.
We took the Whitney Plantation tour with transportation included, and a huge part of what made the experience memorable was our guide, Kin. He was incredibly knowledgeable, a safe driver, and full of fascinating information and stories about New Orleans, Louisiana, and the historic properties we visited. Kin was exceptionally organized and communicated clearly throughout the day regarding pick-up times, drop-offs, and departure schedules from each plantation. Beyond his professionalism, he was genuinely funny and made the group feel welcome by taking the time to learn everyone's name and hear a bit of their story. He also shared honest recommendations for local food spots, which we greatly appreciated. Kin is a wonderful ambassador for New Orleans and its culture, and we would not hesitate to book another tour with him in the future. Highly recommended!
Amazing experience!! Kin is an exceptional travel guide and driver, a NOLA local who knows his home .....with some of the best food and activity recommendations too!! The Whitney Planation was the best tour choice for our group; Dominque, our tour guide at Whitney, was FANTASTIC at telling the stories of her ancestors. My family of 8 are still sharing this wonderful experience with our extended family and friends. Loved that Kin also promised my 2 year old (more like 7) grand-daughter that she would also see an alligator. And she/we did! The stop for ice cream and sandwiches too on the way back to downtown was an additional welcomed treat. Thank You Kindrell!!!
Kin was excellent from start to finish. I highly recommend using this service to experience the Whitney Plantation. We got picked up from our hotel in style and comfort. Kin was entertaining and imparted great knowledge on the area, culture and food.
Kin did a great job getting us to the Whitney plantation; he was very knowledgeable and got the group involved! It was fun He is ensuring the right information is being told!
The tour guide, Kin, was informative and entertaining on the dive and the visit to the plantation was sobering.
Kin was absolutely the highlight of my trip to New Orleans! He was so generous with answering all my questions and sharing his stories as someone born and raised New Orleans. Kin was professional, kind, responsive, respectful, funny, and accommodating. I was very impressed with how safely he drove us and how calm he remained with the crazy drivers in the torrential rain! He offers many tours, so I would recommend booking all of the tours you take through him. And of course, remember to be generous with your tips! He is well-worth it!
first and foremost this tour was so informative. we like to go on historical tours of plantations because we love learning about the history of the slaves in different parts of the country. Most times you get the story of the owners more so than the owned. This was the first tour we've taken that focused on the enslaved narrative. I appreciated having an actual tour guide instead of the self guided AND being able to get a glimpse of the other plantations in the area as we drove. Our f driver and guide for the day Kindrell is absolutely amazing. He gives you the history of NOLA and points out landmarks as you arrive and leave. He is a great resource for finding spots in NOLA during your stay. You will enjoy every moment on this half day tour. Most definitely recommend!
Comfortable ride and convenient way to get to the Whitney for a guided tour. Nice people to deal with and the Whitney is a must visit!
The driver is very knowledgeable about the city and plantations. Highly recommend!
Excellent! A real learning experience. It’s long past due that our education system includes the history of the plantations from the slaves perspective. Every American would benefit from this tour and from having a broader understanding of slavery in our country.
Kindrell gave us a great tour! He is very knowledgeable and passionate about the subject matter and the day was very well planned including the lunch stop! The experience at Whitney plantation helped us to better understand not only the history of enslavement in America but also its’ legacy. I highly recommend this experience as it really focuses on the perspectives of the enslaved people themselves.
Kin was awesome honestly. He pulled up to our hotel, van was spotless, and just made the whole day feel easy. No rushing, good vibes, funny as hell, and knows NOLA inside and out. Whitney Plantation tour with Kin was a great experience. Honestly just book Kin and go to Whitney. That’s it.
K’s LUXURY TOUR GUIDE Kindrell (Kin) was a fantastic driver, knowledgable, interesting facts, with an amazing ability to recall names and faces. He came right to the hotel to get us, communicated well with us prior to arrival, his luxury van/bus was SPOTLESS CLEAN, comfortable, and had an excellent audio system. Kin did not rush us, gave us plenty of time at stops, and had a great sense of humor. Kin is born/raised NOLA, has fantastic restaurant recommendations. We happened upon Kin by chance; however we’d only book through him for future adventures. WHITNEY PLANTATION This must be on your bucket list when coming to NOLA! Presented by descendants of the enslaved who experienced the plantation. Justin was our guide (his grandpa’s great grandparents were slaves at Whitney) is an articulate young man, well versed in the history and presentation. Powerful, reflective, dark history. How someone could leave there not realizing how wrong slavery is, would be unimaginable. Hard to believe many try to sugarcoat the entire issue, or worse yet cling to ideology or symbolism of the cause. This was an exceptional experience, the museum quality buildings, grounds, artifacts, history is worth the visit. There are other plantations one may visit but NONE which tell the slave experience. DEFINITELY CONTACT KIN & TOUR WHITNEY
The van/bus picked us up outside our hotel. The driver/tour guide Kin was knowledgeable about the area history and trivia.
Kindell was knowledgeable and a wonderful tour guide, telling us about the New Orleans and the surrounding areas. We also had a wonder Tour guide, James Kelly at the Whitney Plantation. It was well worth it.
This was the only tour I could find online that included a guded tour at the plantation (all of the others are just self guided audio tours). Kindrell of K's Tours (ksluxurytransportation.com/) picked us up right in front of our hotel in the FQ. After picking up other passengers, we rode the 45 minutes to Whitney Plantation, with Kin sharing information along the way. At Whitney Plantation we had about a 90 minute guided tour and then had some time to explore on our own. Afterward we stopped at Oakley Plantation for a photo op and a chance to get a bite to eat at their general store. I would definitely recommend K's Tours.
Kin was super knowledgeable and entertaining. Highly recommend!
One of the best tours we had booked and Kin the tour guide was outstanding, we had visited the Whitney Plantation. He was informative and knowledgeable and kept us laughing throughout the day. I would recommend booking with K's Luxury Transportation and Tours and wouldn't hesitate in booking again. 10/10 Kin
