Adelle was absolutely amazing. She was extremely knowledgeable and gave us the ghost stories as well as history of the French Quarter and New Orleans over all. She was also very funny. I hope to one day do another tour with her. Ask for Adelle, the mortician with 2 La in her name, and 2 legs. 😜

Walking tour of hunted stories of the French Quarter suited for the whole family.
LaLaurie Mansion is the most famous and most haunted place in New Orleans (maybe in America). Learn the story as to why!
Jackson Square is the cultural center of New Orleans, and because of that history has so many stories of hauntings that continue to this day.
Royal Street is maybe more important to the French Quarter than Bourbon Street... it is certainly more haunted.

I think the success of this tour depends on the tour operator. Walking the tour allowed us to see the beauty of the French Quarter. We loved that. However our guy was a bit underwhelming. He wasn't particularly animated and his voice didn't project. At times his telling of the history and the lore around ghosts was a bit disjointed, not clear to the kids. I'm not sure I'd recommend this particular tour.
Dominic was very knowledgeable and interesting all at the same time. I would definitely recommend this tour and would take it again.
My daughter and I were excited about this tour. The guide was knowledgeable and the food the families were great. Would have appreciated my daughter receiving the same eye contact and interaction the other families/kids received. She looks older, but she’s still just a kid. Other than that, I would recommend this tour to friends and family.
Our family (8-year-old son and 11-year-old daughter) loved this ghost tour on our first day in New Orleans. Ashley kept our kids engaged with ghost stories, history, and jokes. My wife and I enjoyed the tour too. The history that she taught us helped us enjoy the French Quarter even more for the remainder of our visit. We dined at the restaurant Ashley recommended on our last night. It was excellent. Highly recommend this tour with Ashley as a guide!
Our guide was funny and great: I think my Son who is 9 needs a little more interaction to stay invested, but Dan made it fun.
After a lot of deliberation we bought tickets for the family friendly ghost tour. We have an 8 year old who can dwell on things that can be scary. All the reviews I read noted it wasn’t spooky so we went for it and I’m so glad we did! The meeting spot was easy to find. Our tour guide was Ashley. She was phenomenal. She was great with the kids and kept them engaged. She told us all kinds of things about the history of New Orleans especially Jackson Square. I thoroughly enjoyed the information! The tour was a little short of two hours and the time flies by. Nothing was scary that was shared other than light ghost debauchery. Nothing gory was shared and vocabulary was carefully chosen. Parents learned of stories that they could google later for the information. I highly recommend this tour if you’re on the fence! You can tip with cash at the end or use the Venmo QR code if you don’t have cash.
Ashley took us all around Jackson Square and up through royal street. She was able to answer EVERY question my son and daughter fired off, and there were a ton!
Dalvin our guide made it really fun for my family. The stories had a little shock value to keep the kids interested. The history and folklore kept everyone asking questions and eager to learn more. Stayed within French quarter.
My family (two kids, 8 and 11) had an amazing time on this tour. Dalvin was absolutely amazing - he was just so engaging and entertaining from start to finish. Just LOVED him! We ended up learning so much (which was a bonus on a ghost walk... for a history buff, no less!). Would absolutely recommend!
We had a wonderful evening with a lovely gentleman who took the time to share many anecdotes with us. The tour was perfect.
Awesome guide! Kids had such a great time! Lots of interesting stories and cool history- kids are 7 and 11
Lots of walking so wear comfortable shoes. Our tour guide pays close attention to the children in the group and gears the tour toward them. Very animated and entertaining.
This tour was more about the history of the French Quarter buildings and architecture than ghosts. Not at all what we’d hoped for.
Great tour. Dalvin put a lot of effort into keeping things exciting. Our kids 9 and 11 loved it. Not too scary for them at all.
Dalvin was an amazing guide! Really animated storytelling, perfect for kiddos. He added some details for adults in creative ways too. Learned a lot, and we're excited to research more!
Dalvin was an awesome storyteller! He had us engaged and was full of enthusiasm. He kept us on our toes and entertained the entire tour. We’ll definitely be back!
Dalvin, our guide, is a gem. He's very knowledgeable about the history of The French Quarter and keeps you entertained the entire time. Some history I knew from a previous visit to NOLA, but some was new to me. Also, this was my daughter's first visit, and she was VERY inquisitive. I would absolutely recommend to friends, especially those with children, for the family-friendly tour.
We enjoyed the ghost tour. The tour was definitely family friendly. Our tour guide was kind and knowledgeable! Thanks!
What a waste of time! We were supposed to be on a Ghost Tour and the first thing our guide told us was that it was not a ghost tour. What??? He was very nice but thought his theatrical persona would carry the tour and it did not. First of all it was very short! VERY! Secondly, not interesting as he kept pointing out sharp things on top of gates and fences to keep people out. That was the whole tour! Now, I do not believe in ghosts so I was not expecting to see any but I thought we would hear legends or supposed stories etc. When we passed other ghost tours I found it more interesting to listen to the other guides speak to their group. So disappointing!!
Our tour guide Dalvin was very entertaining in explaining scary details to the kids. He made sure parents were comfortable with all that is shared as well. We found the details very informative and sufficient to get a good understanding of the French Quarter history. Great job!
They said to take a lot of pictures and then check them when we get home, but they never said when/where we should take pictures. I didn’t take any ☹️ Our guide got off talking to a family that was in the group about his connection with their ethnic background with them and kept referencing it as if we all knew what the hell they were talking about. I know he is trying to keep things interesting to the kids, but all of his jumping around is a little weird
Our tour guide Dalvin was the best part of the tour. We had done several tours during our visit to New Orleans but this was the best one. It’s great balance between history, spooky stories, and great comedy. Calvin’s skill in theatre was memorable. Five stars!
I went on the spooky family friendly ghost tour and our guide was great! Even though it is family friendly it was still tons of information for adults. (There are so many ghost tours in New Orleans, but my boyfriend and I were looking for a version that would not keep us up at night :) This tour was both some history of New Orleans and the gruesome past of the area. Our guide had tons of knowledge and led us all around the French quarter pointing out all of the unique parts of the area. Highly recommend this tour if you are in town and want to be part of the spooky city but don’t need the full scary past!
Our tour guide, Dane, was OUTSTANDING. We felt lucky to have him. He is an accomplished actor and a longtime New Orleans resident, and he also clearly cared about his job and was personable, energetic, and appropriate with the youngsters in the group. I've done guided tours in New Orleans before, but I learned so much from this one, and the kids (even the sullen tween/teen ones) were thoroughly entertained!
Dominic was great and full of facts both historical and ghostly. It’s a fun way to spend a couple of hours and get some history with a grizzly spin.
Excellent experience with just the right amount of spooky! We were a smaller group (less than 15 total)--great guide who was well-versed in the history and very engaging, even for our teens/pre-teens. Highly recommend!
The tour was fantastic! And our tour guide, Dalvin, was amazing. He knew so many things and was the best story teller! I would 100% come back again and again. So much fun and we learned so much!!
Not scary for kids. The kids might not be as interested because kids are kids. I found it informational and nice walk for our family.
Our guide was amazing! He had so much knowledge and insight on our tour. He even walked us to our hotel being it was late and my daughter and I were the only ones on the tour
Dane was great - very informative and funny. Was a nice way to explore the quarter Recommend for ages 7 and up
A cute, kid-appropriate, theatrical tour that covered 4 or 5 interesting, historical spooky stories from New Orleans' past. The walk was a very manageable distance, even for little ones. Dalvin, our guide, was a great performer and three in little adult bits to keep parents involved.
Extremely disappointed. My grandchildren had looked so forward to this. Words do not begin to tell how poor our tour was. Our guide was not the person(Delvin) who had sent a text that he would be our guide. Our guide stated he did not feel well and was very lethargic. He sat or leaned as much as possible. His stories were not entertaining or relevant to what we had read when reading reviews to choose our tour. We passed other guides with groups who were engaged and who seemed excited to be guiding their groups. We wanted to just join one of their groups, but since there were 10 of us we didn’t feel it was an option. I understand that it appeared to be the luck of the draw on guides, but I do think Unigue NOLA was responsible for not providing us with an acceptable experience. We were not the only ones in our group disappointed. Others were also commenting. Though the tour was supposed to last about 2 hours, we were almost relieved when it only lasted a little over an hour. So sad to have had such a disappointing time when working to make special memories for three generations of our family.
Our guide was very knowledgeable and tried to cater to the kiddos. It was great to walk around the French Quarter with someone with so much fascinating information about the area. Our daughter (8) got a little scared, but I think it was a good experience. Everyone seemed very engaged.
Great tour. Our guide Elaine was fantastic she had a lot of knowledge of the history of New Orleans, had great energy. She told just enough great details for the mix ages of my kids.
Dane was fantastic! He kept the whole gang of kids engaged the entire time and is a great story teller. My son (who is on the spectrum and notoriously disengaged from most activities) even was enjoying himself and participating by the end. We’d definitely recommend this tour to anyone with kids who want to hear some stories and walk the French Quarter.
Dane was our tour guide and was so much fun! He provided us with a safe and super entertaining walking tour for all ages. Our group ranged in age from 4 to 50 and we were all engaged in his imaginative, descriptive, and spooky stories (some that ended in “mysterious circumstances” 😉) that were very appropriate for his audience. He also gave us a great recommendation for a family friendly place for dinner and even walked us there so we did not “become ghosts” ourselves. 😊 Thank you Dane! We had a blast!
Devin our tour guide was wonderful with all ages , he made sure we were safe at all times. He was animated , entertaining and engaging throughout the whole tour .
Great tour with Mellissa. Very informative about New Orleans the spiritual parts. Would recommend this tour to anyone.
We enjoyed our tour with Melissa! She had great knowledge of the history and ghosts of New Orleans! The tour took us to some beautiful locations with interesting pasts. Our son enjoyed the ghost talks!
We had the best time with Melissa as our tour guide. My daughter (6) enjoyed the tour and paid attention the whole time! The tour was fast paced and we made our way throughout the French quarter. Highly recommend for family with small kids!
We had a blast with Melissa, our fantastic guide. Our little girls enjoyed it as well! Thank you so much for a great time! The stories were spooky but not too spooky. We would definitely recommend also with small kids!
Melissa was awesome! Very friendly, knowledgeable, and wonderful personality! We really enjoyed the tour, kid friendly too!
We went on the family ghost tour with Melissa and she was fantastic!! Our family of 5 plus another family of 6. She was a great guide, very animated and kept the kids and is entertained. Bonus, we learned a lot about the history of this beautiful area.
Melissa was a great tour guide and this tour was a great mix of history and ghost stores to keep our 8 and 10 year old engaged. Would highly recommend
This was a terrible tour, I woud not recommend it to anyone. The tour guide was so back that have the group left half way through.
Great tour! Melissa was a very knowledgeable and amazing tour guide, learned so much! Loved all the ghost stories and history facts!
This was a great family tour, I’m sure it’s hard to simplify the stories of NOLA to be appropriate for younger kids. If we go back without our kiddo, would love to hear the after hour stories for sure. But this really kept our daughter’s attention and it was the fastest she walked all weekend trying to keep up. Feel like that’s the highest compliment from a 7 year old!
Dalvin was a fun and entertaining guide! My son (7 years old) has been asking to go on a ghost tour forever and he loved it. We learned some new things and heard stories we had not already heard about mysterious happenings and history in the French Quarter!
This tour was absolutely awful. The group was far too large and our guide just wasn’t a good storyteller. We overheard the other group and the host was much more animated and interesting. Our group of 3 walked away and left the tour after about 30 minutes and I was super disappointed by the whole experience.
