It was so much fun, the tour driver was informative, so sweet the way he spoke about the gators, they are like his pets. I felt safe even though there were no seatbelts

The Oak Alley plantation tour is one of the most magnificent plantation tours near New Orleans because of the 28 evenly spaced, huge Oak Trees that go from River Road to the Plantation House. It looks like the movie “Gone with the Wind”. The Greek Revival style home dates back to 1837.
Small airboats go faster and a little more intimate with a smaller group. On this tour, you will experience the best of both: an informative swamp tour and high speed thrill airboat ride. You will travel at high speeds in the airboat then slow down and stop for pictures. Your Captain will give you a tour of a life time explaining the culture, animals, and the swamps. You may even experience a close encounter with some of the local swamp life. You will return to you hotel around 4;45 pm

Wonderful day spent exploring Oak Alley.. and tons of fun on the swamp. Oak Alley is a bit heavy historically.. but important. They make amazing mint juleps, too. Winding down in the swamp afterwards was perfect. Seeing all those alligators in a unique ecosystem was so interesting.
This was by far an amazing experience and more than I expected. They were knowledgeable and fun! They genuinely care for the gators and know them by name. Don't waste your time or money going with another group. This is THE tour. I highly recommend.
Grounds were beautiful. Unfortunately, the Tour left much to be desired. It was a vague overview of the first family that lived there and some self-guided portion. It did not give an in-depth understanding of plantation Life, how plantation works. slave era or anything else of interest. I was disappointed. I would however recommend the boat tour offered by ragin Cajun tours. It was great! Try the Whitney plantation. I heard it gave a more informative and historical tour.
Airboat trip was awesome, Mike was a great guide, saw lots of gators. Our all day driver Brandon was awesome too very informative and very friendly.
We started our first of two tours at Oak Alley Plantation. The main house tour provides a picture in time. Every space was explained in detail throughout the house. Our second adventure was with Ragin Cajun swamp tours. We went on the small airboat. We stopped often to see alligators fed big marshmallows from the boat. Amazing bird life throughout. We did one faster run for excitement. Great fun.
Oak Alley tour was very limited and not really very informative or entertaining. took the same tour 10-15 yrs ago and much longer, with many stories about life on the plantation - visiting guests, slaves, kitchens, bed rolling. this was bare bones and pretty bad. Oak Alley grounds are pretty. Mint Julep was good. food was acceptable and not too touristy expensive. the airboat ride was fun. since warm out many alligators. less fun on the airboat than other trips we have taken - during the cold months where there were very few alligators, but they made more fun running the airboat about in curly ques. guess summer they fill with animals, winter with boat tricks.
We had a wonderful day at both the plantation house tour and swamp boat! Our driver Brian, was absolutely fantastic. Humorous and informative. The whole experience was exceeded our expectations.
Fantastic day out & about. The plantation was fascinating with some sad history of slavery. Learnt a lot. The airboat ride was great. A lot of fun and a lot of gators to see. Larry, handle -BamBam, kept us informed throughout the trip telling us a lot about the area. Recommended
Great tour start to finish. Our driver was friendly and knowledgeable as he shuffles us between locations. Always one-time and polite.
Long drive. Lots of down time. Plantation is not worth the drive or the time allotted. Swamp tour was simply a large mud flat. Not very scenic. It was good to see alligators on a sunny day, but that is it. Not worth the steep price.
Very informative tour of Oak Alley, restaurant has great food, airboat tour was very fun and guide was great!
Airboat Tour on the Voodoo Queen was fantastic! Oak Alley plantation was impressive for its beauty… but the standard tour was a bit white washed!
Our driver was great he gave us great information about the city, our excursion & was very funny! The plantation was magical with the trees and grounds so well kept. The gift shop & food at the restaurant was great! The mansion was incredible & our tour guide had great stories about the history of the families that had all lived on the grounds. The airboat ride was fun & we got to feed the alligators, was super cool!
We loved the combo of the air boat ride and Plantantion tour! The guides were so friendly and we saw tons of gators!
Great tour. Driver Brett was great. He got us through New Orleans with ease. He was very patient with the crazy traffic. Once at the dock the airboat captain took us back into small inlets. Along the way Brett gave great information about the activities and areas we were driving through. The tour at Oak Alley was good. We had enough time for the house tour and explore on our own.
Our airboat ride was a lot of fun with John as our guide. He made every effort to provide an entertaining ride and get us up close to alligators.
Overall this tour was great! Plantation was absolutely beautiful and we saw many alligators on our airboat tour. However, the driver was running a little behind in the beginning and it seemed rushed. We also broke down on the side of the road on our way to the airboat part and had to sit out in the 86 degree heat and sun for about an hour while they were trying to get us to the airboat destination. Our airboat tour time was cut a little shorter but it was long enough to enjoy. They apologized but it would have been nice to try to make it right.
Easy and time efficient transportation. Beautiful plantation and adventurous swamp tour. Would book again!
Air boat tour was the star of my vacation Our tour guide Chad was amazing , very informative and fun !! Gators were in abundance!! Would recommend this tour to anyone !!
The beauty of this plantation is bar none, exquisite. The live oaks are the real show. Stunning landscaping. This is mostly an educational experience of slavery and sugar cane. All three go hand in hand, you cannot have one without the other two. The guides do a wonderful job of explaining all three with honesty. It was a brutal way to exist. My children learning that the stunning beauty before them, was built by the horrible ugliness in the fields. Its important to remember the good, the bad and the ugly of life during these times so we never repeat them.
The mansion landscape was beautiful - thanks to the slaves, and to close with a natural beautiful swamp landscape - thanks be to God
Great fun filled day. The plantation house is beautiful and quite the sight to see. The airboat ride was fun, not overly fast and not scary at all. Loves seeing all the gators that come right to the boats for marshmallows!
The ride there to the plain ration was excellent our driver Brian He is really knowledgeable friendly entertaining pretty cool guy he goes above and beyond He took us to the airboat ride amazing experience at the bayou capitán of the boat pretty cool guy we learn a lot of history gator behavior we got to see them interact with them it was a Beautiful site the birds baby gators 🐊 all man jack 30 +year gator it was amazing we even got to see cat fit the habitas was amazing it was drizzling which was pretty cool as well ,we will back with more family so they can see the beautiful swamp bayou Ragin Cajun Airboat Tours LLC is the way to go you guys have to visit and use this company pretty cool ,now the plantation is beautiful to see the location is gorgeous the house tour not recommended the guy was short he talk like he was just tired of reciting the same thing not Informative you get to see like 4 rooms living room dinning room the house is just stage to look back in that era nothing is original to the house just the house the floors are new no pictures or video are allowed which is a boomer this place I won’t visit nor recommend at all you do t even get to keep the ticket that you pod for Now Ragin Cajun Airboat Tours LLC service is great they have competitive prices we will using they services again thank you Brian
Definitely worth the extra price for the small boat. Was fun & much better than other air boat tours I have taken.
Had a great time all day. Driver called on the way to the hotel this morning and was helpful explaining the area. The tour of the Oak Alley Plantation was very informative, but my favorite part of the tour was on the Ragin Cajun air boats! We had Tyler on the "Tiger Bait" boat, and he was very knowledgeable about the local plants and fauna, but knew the Alligators the best. I lost count at how many unique birds and alligators we saw during the tour. Overall, the day was spaced out perfectly so you were never at one place too long. Would definitely recommend the Ragin Cajun Airboat Tours!
