It was a pleasant walking tour. Easy to use. I like that the audio was linked to gps, so started and stopped at the correct location.

Itinerary
Start your Garden District journey outside the Rink Shopping Center, passing by the Garden District sign. Though not a stop, it marks the beginning of your exploration into this delightful neighbourhood.
Take in one of the Garden District’s most photographed homes, an 1859 Italianate villa wrapped in a cast-iron fence of corn stalks and morning glories. Hear the legend behind the fence and why David always lingers here to take the whole house in.
See the Italianate mansion that was once owned by novelist Anne Rice and later by actor Nicolas Cage. Hear how a 19th-century family home went on to have a second life, and why the Garden District has long drawn writers, artists and celebrities.
Admire an 1850 Greek Revival home with a classic double gallery, now owned by the Women’s Guild of the New Orleans Opera. Movie fans may recognise it from Quentin Tarantino’s Django Unchained.
As you walk down the picturesque streets, catch a glimpse of the Briggs-Staub House. While not a designated stop, its historical significance contributes to the architectural narrative of the Garden District.
Pass by the Louise S McGehee School, a historic institution in the Garden District. While not a stop, its presence adds a layer of cultural and educational history to your stroll.
Pause at Buckner Mansion, the largest house built before the Civil War. Famous for its appearance in American Horror Story, it provides a captivating insight into the neighborhood's architectural grandeur.
Pause at the Pritchard-Pigot House, which might resemble a frat house. This stop offers historical context and architectural appreciation, showcasing the district's diverse residential styles.
Pass by the Carroll-Crawford House, blending seamlessly into the Garden District's elegant streets. While not a designated stop, its architectural significance contributes to the overall charm.
Walk by the Seven Sisters houses, dispelling the myth of a father building them for his seven daughters to live side-by-side. Though not a designated stop, their presence adds an intriguing element to the Garden District's lore.
Pause at the Montgomery-Hero House, constructed for the president of the Crescent City Railroad, Archibald Montgomery. This stop provides insights into the historical figures who shaped the district.
Visit the Walter Grinnan Robinson House, the first home to feature indoor plumbing. Delve into its historical significance and technological advancements, offering a glimpse into daily life.
Pass by Warwick Manor, a distinctive residence in the Garden District. While not a designated stop, its presence adds to the visual tapestry of this historic neighborhood.
As you continue your walk, pass by the corner of Camp and Third Street in New Orleans. While not a designated stop, this intersection plays a part in the neighborhood's layout and character.
Pass by Commander's Palace, a renowned restaurant in the Garden District. While not a designated stop, its presence adds a touch of culinary fame to the neighborhood's allure.
End your Garden District tour outside Lafayette Cemetery No. 1. This final stop offers a moment to reflect on the district's history, architecture, and the significant personalities who once called it home.

This tour was a great way to see the Garden district. It knew where we were and gave audio information at each of the stops that made our walk informative and fun. It was nice to be able to walk at our own pace. We were able to pause and walk down to Magazine street on our own, then pick back up on the tour to complete when we were ready.
I really enjoyed listening to the guide as I walked through the tour by myself. I learned a lot and would have liked even more info on other homes I passed that were not part of the tour. The directions given were easy to follow. Overall I was pleased with experience. I have purchased more walking tours for another upcoming trip. I wish I had learned about this before now and I hope they continue to update and provide additional options.
Good tour! Get to go at your own pace, stop and shop, take breaks. Don’t forget all the heat protective gear! (sunscreen, water, umbrella, and more water!).
The app was easy to use. Directions were easy to follow. Narrators voice was soothing. Content, informative. Excellent tour
I prefer self guided tours where you can make your own time and move at your own pace. This was a great tour.
We loved this tour as we could walk the tour path at our own pace. The audio app worked great and was easy to use. Lots of gorgeous houses with interesting historical facts. Even got to see Archie Manning’s house where Peyton and Eli Manning were raised.
I wanted to explore the Garden district and thought a guided audio tour would enrich the experience. I was right! This audio tour took me to areas I would not have found on my own, and was really informative.
This was such a great self-guided tour. Great history and information. It’s really sick how it follows your location and only talks when you are in front of the next stop.
The self guided tour was perfect for me to go on my own time. The guide was very informative. The route was full of beautiful greenery and plants. I would do this again.
Really a great deal for the $. Love that it was self-paced because of the geotags. Certainly got more out of our walk this way and I liked NOT being in a big tour group. Feedback I would give guide is there a couple of weird mispronunciations that seems you could have edited. Also - and this might be just me — even more information would be great!
Great way to see the garden district at your own pace while still getting the history and all the points of interest. You can share the tour with your whole group so everyone can listen on your own device.
Great app, easy instructions, and great narration. It is a beautiful area. We loved that we could do it at our own pace.
Excellent tour, thorough, easy to follow, we definitely recommend, convenient to our schedule, great way to see and learn about the garden district
Easy to follow . Can stop and start. Some uneven pavements that may affect those with walking challenges .
Great tone, very informative, awesome to do at our own pace since my hubby has anxiety issues in group settings.
Generally, the convenience from purchase in Viator to downloading the app and using the code to access our tour, plus learning how to use the app for the tour, was fine. A lot was covered and we walked to all spots in about an hour, even with one confusing moment when we had to backtrack a bit when the voice in the app said, “not all who wander are lost, but it looks like you might be.” Lol, that’s was fun. The voice recording was a bit slow, but we could have sped it up if we wanted to. I felt like I wanted it to be more up to date or say when it was recorded every time he said, “at the time of this recording,” but most stops didn’t need “accurate for today” info, just general historic info. I’d recommend this to anyone who doesn’t want the expense of an in person tour guide or group of strangers to tour with at their pace. You can go as fast as you want with this.
Recording was clear and easy to follow. Loved going at our own pace and how the app knew where we were!
Approx 90 minute walk with plenty of stops - flat ground. Not strenuous at all. Meri, our guide, was FABULOUS! Lost of local lore mixed with great tips for the weekend traveler.
Great self guided walking tour. Easy to follow the directions, insightful and informative tour guide, and I like that you can really take it at your own pace. Also appreciated that I could see the route and future stops and could replay a prompt if I wanted to hear it again. Great deal too!
David, the narrator gave a fair balance of architecture, history, and modern tidbits of information along the routes -- we drove it instead of walked. If you plan on doing so, please note that there are a few locations that are on a one way street. Modifications to the route will need to be made, but it's simple. I'd recommend it. The tour never expires.
The self-guided tour was very informative and easy to navigate. It was a fantastic experience and the Garden District is a must see for sure!
I was unable to access the tour. No way to get a hold of anyone...no refunds. I lost my money on this pne
Good narration. The map knows where you are so the narration starts at the right locations. Make sure your phone is charged.
The guide was clearly knowledgeable about the neighborhood, but I would have liked more historical information about the development of the neighborhoods
Loved this tour we could take at our own pace and spend time where we wanted. Beautiful streets and homes.
