Thank you, Paul, for the amazing tour and experience. Hubby and I had the best time riding with you and listening to the history and the FACTS! We spent more time than scheduled and even stopped for beignets in City Park. We loved every second of it. And feel like I made a best friend in NOLA! Anyone on the fence about making the reservation with Paul, DO IT! You won't be disappointed. He takes the time to learn about you and customize your experience. Try to take this tour first thing when you come to the city. His tips and tricks are SO HELPFUL to navigate where to go and how to get there. 10 out of 5 <3

Itinerary
(FRENCH QUARTER - Since 1718) Truman Capote once described New Orleans as, “of all secret cities, the most secretive, the most unlike, in reality, what an outsider is permitted to observe.” New Orleans’ French Quarter may be its most secretive neighborhood. Here, in an area famous for its raucous nightlife and hedonistic abandon, there lives a community in love with the area’s timelessness, its beautiful buildings and handcrafted details. The French Quarter is one of the oldest communities in the U.S. I will take you through the French Quarter and give you a history lesson and show you the historic landmarks like Jackson Square, St. Louis Cathedral - 1727, The French Market - 1791, Lafitte’s Blacksmith Shop Bar - 1772, Royal St., Frenchman St., Centuries Old Restaurants and Multi-Million Dollar Creole Cottages. nolabig4c0m
(GARDEN DISTRICT - Since 1832) The romance blooms as the afternoon is spent exploring memories of New Orleans’ antebellum past, gazing at secluded mansions, wandering down the brick lined sidewalks. Its canopy of oak trees is world-famous, while its characteristic gardens of hibiscuses, crepe myrtles and angel trumpets, make it one of New Orleans' most beautiful neighborhoods. The Garden District has worked its magic. I will share with you te history of the Garden District from the early 1800's. You will see Multi-Million $ Local & Celebrity Antebellum Mansions of Sandra Bullock, John Goodman, Anne Rice, American Horror Story, Cornstalk Fence and Curious Case of Benjamin Button Homes. There is also Lafayette Cemetery since 1833, St. Charles Ave. Streetcar since 1835, Mardi Gras since 1857 & Commander’s Palace Restaurant since 1893. nolabig4c0m
(CITY PARK - Since 1854) City Park as magical & unique as the city of New Orleans. This 1,300-acre outdoor oasis has enchanted New Orleanians since 1854, making it one of the nation’s oldest urban parks. The crown jewel of City Park is the world’s largest stand of mature southern live oaks, which includes a Grand Oak that dates back over 800 years. These unique trees are known for their distinctive sculptural shape - some of the oldest trees have limbs that are twice as long as the oak is tall. You will also see the Museum of Art, Sculpture Gardens, Big Lake, Botanical Gardens, Children’s Museum, Amusement Park, Story Land, Miniature Golf, Café Du Monde since 1862 and the Cypress Swamp from 1718 that New Orleans was built upon. nolabig4c0m
(METAIRIE CEMETERY - Since 1872) Named one of the most beautiful cemeteries in the country. Placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1991. Oval shape can be traced back to its days as a race track. Became a cemetery after the Civil War in 1872. Final resting place of over 9,000 people. With over 130 Acres and more than 10,000 Above Ground Multi-Million $ Family Tombs of New Orleans most prominent people like, Al Copeland - Founder Popeyes Fried Chicken, Ruth Fertel - Founder Ruth's Chris Steak House, Tom Benson - Owner of the New Orleans Saints, Anne Rice - Vampire Novelist, P.G.T. Beauregard - Civil War General, Kings of Carnival and the Weeping Angel Statue. nolabig4c0m

As a solo traveler, I highly recommend booking a tour with Paul Angelica! He is a fantastic guide—deeply informative, highly engaging, witty and had all his history facts down perfectly. I especially loved the door-to-door convenience of having the pick-up and drop-off point right at my hotel. It made the entire experience incredibly easy and stress-free for a solo visitor. As a local guide, he brings the city to life with some fantastic insider knowledge and great stories along the way. Thank you for a wonderful tour of New Orleans, Paul!
Paul was great he was really knowledgeable and took us on a wonderful tour I really recommend this tour with Paul. I was really impressed. Thank you Paul I recommend this tour 👍
Paul was wonderful tour guide! We were able to book a private tour which was great for my child that is autistic. We really enjoyed the personal nature of Paul's presentation and how he was able to accommodate our wishes when we wanted to stop and take pictures. He was very knowledgeable about the areas we visited and even gave us tips on other places to visit. The price was reasonable and we enjoyed the friendliness and pleasant atmosphere Paul created on the tour.
Paul was wonderful to work with. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and very accommodating throughout the experience. One of the biggest perks was being able to keep our luggage with us after the cruise, which saved us so much hassle. He picked us up right at the port and dropped us off at the airport after the tour, making everything seamless and stress free. We learned so much along the way and were able to take in beautiful architecture throughout the city, even in the cemetery. I would highly recommend booking this at the beginning of your visit. It really helps you get your bearings and appreciate everything you’re seeing even more. It will give you an idea of where you want to spend your time in New Orleans. There is so much to do from the French quarters, to the river.
Paul was an excellent tour guide who took us to some truly beautiful and memorable areas around New Orleans. He was friendly, engaging, and made the entire experience enjoyable from start to finish. I especially appreciated how knowledgeable he was—he shared interesting insights and local details that really brought each stop to life. I highly recommend his services to anyone looking for a great tour experience.
Paul Angelica didn’t just tell us about New Orleans—he taught us. Early on, he said the most important point he would make all morning was this: the French and Spanish ruled the area for a combined total of 85 years (1718–1803). As the tour unfolded, that statement came to life in everything around us—the homes, the cemeteries, the culture, and the layers of history woven into each street. Paul doesn’t just carry knowledge about the city; he shares a genuine, deep love for it that makes the experience feel personal and unforgettable. As the scent of jasmine drifted through the morning air, we rode along the Garden District’s quiet, oak-lined streets. Paul guided us at an easy pace, sharing stories of the neighborhood’s rich history and pointing out the distinctive architectural details that make each home feel singular and alive with character. Paul made a statement during the tour that once New Orleans gets into you, it never really leaves—and he’s absolutely right. I was already planning my next trip before we even checked out of the hotel. I’ll be back, NOLA… and when I return, I’ll make sure Paul is my tour guide again.
This tour was so much fun! Paul is so knowledgeable and passionate about NOLA. He has a great sense of humor and was really engaging. He picked us up at our Airbnb and we drove around to a bunch of different places. We got out at the park & got beignets. We got to walk around and see the beautiful trees and landscape. Paul took us to some neighborhoods and taught us about the homes in the areas. This was more than just a tour with the same talking points. By the end of it we felt like he was more of an old friend than a tour guide. I would absolutely do this tour again. 10/10.
Loved this tour! Paul, our guide was extremely knowledgeable and personable. We had a great time with him and also learned a lot about New Orleans.
We enjoyed our trip very much. It was informative and flexible to our requirements.
Paul was fantastic! One of the BEST EVER tours we have had! His detail about and enthusiasm for NOLA was over the top. He told and showed us the true beautiful city of NOLA. We learned SO MUCH about the city, culture, and people. Thanks for a GREAT tour, Paul!
Paul was an amazing tour guide. I have taken several other tours of New Orleans and this was the best by far. I highly recommend for those who want to know the true NOLA.
This was a great tour! We learned a ton of history from a NOLA local, and got a good overview of what spots we wanted to circle back to later in our trip. Would definitely recommend doing this tour early on in your trip.
The guide was very knowledgeable about the area. He did a great job ensuring we were comfortable and enjoying ourselves.
Highly recommend Paul for a personal tour of NOLA. Paul is a life-time citizen of NOLA, extremely knowledgeable, interesting and fun! If you want to see NOLA and know everything about it (the facts), Paul is your man! You will be very glad you did!!
Paul was very knowledgeable about New Orleans. Made us feel welcome. Car was clean and he had water for us in the car. Would highly recommend a tour with Paul.
Paul was very knowledgeable, friendly and had a lot of fun, he gave us the opportunity to get out and take pics and also enjoy some daiquiri’s during our tour
Paul is very organized and on time. You get to see 4 great parts of the city and learn some history. This has the best itinerary that I really wanted. Another one of the top reasons for this tour is the service, picked up and dropped off at your hotel. We had a great time!
Paul was incredibly knowledgeable and gave a great overview of New Orleans' history. I appreciated how he broke the tour into four distinct areas—French Quarter, City Park, the cemetery, and the Garden District—so we could get a rich highlights tour despite our short trip. Even though I’ve visited New Orleans many times, I learned new facts and saw things I’d never noticed before. It was my husband’s first visit, and Paul made it a memorable one. Best of all, when we had an issue with our original time, he went out of his way to accommodate us. Highly recommend this tour for anyone wanting a solid mix of sights, history, and a charismatic guide.
Paul was a fantastic tour guide! He took his time, and let us take our time enjoying everything he showed us. He is very knowledgeable and very fun to hang out with. Absolutely recommend his tour to anyone who’s interested in seeing New Orleans! Thank you, Paul, for an amazing experience!
The tour with Paul was fantastic. We learned so much about the history, architecture, and lay of the land !! I could not recommend this tour more. We scheduled it the first day of our trip and left feeling so knowledgeable about New Orleans and neighborhoods, we felt confident to strike out on our own and explore everything the city had to offer! We followed so many of Paul’s recommendations the following 3 days and we would never had been able to do so many cool and interesting things without this tour! Paul was warm and funny and so helpful! So grateful we scheduled this, worth every penny and helped us maximize our following days !!
Paul tailored his tour to match our interests and was very knowledgeable about his city. I especially liked that he picked us up at our hotel and dropped us off at our chosen lunch spot making it so easy for us.
Paul was our guide. He was extremely knowledgeable and personable. He provided a lot of factual information and we were introduced to several places in New Orleans we had never been to before. We enjoyed spending the morning with him. I would highly recommend this tour.
We were picked up from our ship, given his tour and brought to the airport. He was on time and extremely friendly and helpful. The tour was very informative and saw a lot of New Orleans from the viewpoint of a native son.
Fantastic tour if you are interested to know about the culture and history and other areas of interest in New Orleans beyond what Bourbon Street has to offer. The tour was exactly as described and Paul was very generous with his time. He worked hard to tailor the content to our particular interests, encouraged questions, and was a fun and very interesting travel guide. If you are interested in touring the city, we would definitely make this an activity at the beginning of your visit to help orient yourself and get recommendations on what else there is to do and where you might like to go. He promised us by the end of the tour he would convince us to come back and bring our kids with us one day. I was a skeptic, but he succeeded! Thanks Paul for a very enjoyable and engaging experience.
Perfect personalized tour and a great value! After reviewing at least 100 options, we picked this tour primarily because it was private and enclosed on an abnormally cold NOLA day. We were very impressed from the beginning. Paul was very organized from the start, he reached out to let us know he'd pick us up at our hotel and sent us a couple docs about the city. He arrived early in a very clean RAV4 that was the perfect size for easy conversation and easy navigation of the city. The tour itself was very interesting and informative, all tailored to our interests. This was our 3rd trip to NOLA and we learned so much in our 2 hours with Paul! The tour shaped the rest of our trip and left us with a future to do list. We highly recommended Paul's tour over and over again and will continue to do so!
This was a great tour. Paul is a very good driver and he gave us a great overview of the city. He took us places we would never have found on our own. He also provided a list of places and restaurants to visit. Great tour!
Paul was very welcoming and knowledgeable. He gave very good recommendations and insight into NOLA. Wonderful experience! Would highly recommend. We will be back again!
We were on a cruise ship with one day in New Orleans. Paul was fantastic to work with ! Contact was wonderful. We had brunch at two sisters. Paul picked us up there. He was a great tour guide! The tour was great. He has lived in New Orleans all his life!! You will be very happy with his service.
Perfect tour guide! Makes the whole trip so much more meaningful. On time, friendly, and so knowledgable.
Do this when you first get to New Orleans for a great overview and to get ideas of what to do next. Paul drove us around in his comfortable car so it was ideal for me as I have walking problems. He has his facts down pat but deviated and expanded on those topics we were most interested in. I loved the Southern charm of being called Miss Nancy. Paul was 100% helpful and friendly and started our New Orleans trip fabulously .
Of all the tours offered this was by far the Best. Paul was very friendly and knowledgeable. He knows his facts ! Learned a lot and felt like he was a friend by the time he dropped anyplace in the city we chose. Highly recommend!
We thoroughly enjoyed this tour. Paul was wonderful and very knowledgeable, we learned so much from him in a few brief hours on this tour, that we spent the rest of the day with solid plans on what to do next, and where to plan dinner. We loved the whole history of the French Quarter the Gardens , the graveyard and the amazing City park. Highly recommend this tour especially if you have never been to New Orleans before.
It was an excellent tour. Paul really knows the city and was able to share little details about every place we visited. The stop at the city park in the middle was a highlight.
Paul picked us up at our Hotel and the Tour began he takes you through each area and explains what is there and also History of each area
We were celebrating our 40th Wedding Anniversary and booked this tour for the second day. Paul showed up early and we were outside our hotel, so it was off to the races. He has a wonderful personality, and we really enjoyed our time with him. The tour lasted several hours, but the time flew by. We went back to City Park on Sunday and spent most of the day there. We followed his suggestion and took the trolly there and back. We visited the sites and had a fantastic lunch at the restaurant on site. Great food was easy to find in New Orleans with his help. The tour was well worth going on and we would definitely recommend it. Best wishes, Gerry & Bob.
This tour was perfect. Great orientation for our first day in New Orleans with loads of suggestions for us for our remaining time including where to eat the regional specialities. Paul was friendly and professional as he tailored the tour to suit us best. Value for money and the private tour was in a nice clean suv with great air conditioning. Highly recommend.
The tour was run from the car, which provided an excellent cover from the heat and humidity. The four elements of the city were thoughtfully selected and presented the diverse views of NoLa. Great experience!
Paul is amazing! This tour is such a wonderful introduction to New Orleans and it will give you ideas of things to do and where to go. I would take this tour again on our next visit. You get to see the "guts" of New Orleans and learn fun filled facts and see things you will not see on your average bus tour. Paul is one on one, answers your questions and will go out of his way to insure that you have a wonderful experience.
I cannot say enough good things about this tour. Paul is absolutely delightful. We got into his car as strangers and left as friends. His knowledge and love for New Orleans is contagious and I definitely left the tour with a deeper appreciation of the city. I would recommend this for anyone who is interested in learning and exploring New Orleans without all of the silly touristy lore.
My brother and I drove from Houston to Nola. The construction on the first 8 miles into Louisiana made an 5 1/2 hr trip 8 hrs. Note to Paul: The welcome sign on both sides is MIA because of this as the Texas one is still up and easy to spot. Anyway, having this tour on our first day was such a needed, refreshing and welcomed experience to counter the drive. For one, you don't have to drive. Two, you will get a timely pick-up with all the information you need to navigate around. We appreciated that and all the jokes. It was as if we were visiting with a good friend. It gave us confidence to venture out and navigate around. For those who may not know if your street is missing a sign look down on the corner the name is there. That saved us every time. Also, if your on the tour record what you can so you can go back. It makes a return trip that much easier and Paul doesn't mind 😁. He's worth the booking and you will see a lot in 2 hrs. Thank you, see ya again maybe next year.
We were with two friends who had never been to the Big Easy. This was a pleasant tour, but the guide was very adamant he only gives facts, no ghosts etc. Made the tour a little dry as it felt as if being read and all of us were quite honestly a little bored. He drove you around to each area and provided info about each spot. Unfortunately, a couple of the cemeteries are closed so we couldn't go in but that's not the guide's fault. Guide was frequently commenting that his business relies on 5 star reviews. So you can make your own assumptions about that. His vehicle is a Rav4 and only fits 4 people, 3 in the back. He's upfront about that. Two of us are on the smaller side, but that back seat was quite close. A bigger vehicle would have been more comfortable unless there are only three of you. We did not get out of that cramped car to wande each area, but I guess he does say its a driving tour. We did 6 tours while we were there and this one fell at #5. It's adequate for an overview of the city.
Paul was such a great tour guide! He was very knowledgeable on all of NOLA and made the tour interesting and fun! He made us laugh and we had a great time!
Paul made our first day in New Orleans so memorable! This is a man who loves his native city. Knowledgeable, funny, polite and so invested in ensuring we had an incredible day. Paul come visit us in PA whenever you want!
Really enjoyed this. Recommend the VIP as the smaller group dynamic made for a more personalized experience (and a good way to meet some new people if that's your thing).
Very informative from a guy that loves Nola comfortable ride no big group just my wife and I booked short notice but got us in very happy with the trip
We had a great tour and saw a lot of New Orleans we’d never seen before on other trips. He gave us lots of info as well as seeing some of the best of the best - highly advise this private tour if you are not a larger group than he can take in his vehicle
Paul was a fantastic guide - you can tell from the moment he introduced himself he loves this city and wants you to love it too. He shared so much about each area and really took his time explaining the history and significance of each area. He made sure we had dining and entertainment mapped out for the remainder of our trip. We took all of his suggestions and had a blast.
A good trip thru the city, showing what the WHOLE city feels like. Yes, French Quarter was covered, but real, local neighborhoods... Passing by schools and grocery stores, driving on side streets and boulevards. He's a lifer, a local, and will respond if you have questions. I asked a specific question and he changed plans on the spot to fit it into the journey.
Uncle Paul took us (my 8yo son, 5yo daughter and myself) on a driving tour around NOLA. I was so impressed with his ability to curate the tour to the kids. They learned so much more than I expected and were telling our friends and family all about it when we got home. I loved how he pointed out kid friendly places for them to connect to on the tour-a beautiful library for a school, stop at the playground, playing at the big oak trees and so much more. He went above and beyond when he was getting my daughter excited about the playground and went down the slide himself. :) I didn't expect them to really hold onto much of the info from that day b/c we fit a lot in but I can tell they really were listening and absorbing so much of what Paul spoke about. I think in part b/c of his delivery but also b/c of his warm, friendly demeanor. He really knows his stuff and is a genuinely kind person to meet who loves his city. Super recommend to all.
