Just the 4 of us in family this trip. Dalvin was a great guide. He kept it very entertaining . It seemed personalized for us.
Around a 1.5 hour crime tour that was super fun! Had a great time with Anderson.
The Sinister Criminal Intentions tour was wonderful. Dane gave us NOLA history along with the murders. He is an amazing tour guide. We were a small group so that made it even better. Interesting stories and a lot of fun. I also did the Voodoo doll class with Dakota. That was so much fun. Highly recommend Unique NOLA Tours.
I had an amazing experience with Andersen, his way of telling these stories/true events made it all that more worth it. Thank you I had an amazing time.
Great tour Dalvin was excellent.
Dane was such a great tour guide! His story telling and willingness to keep us comfortable at all times truly made the experience. Definitely would recommend.
Guide was fantastic! He was extremely knowledgeable about the true crime and history of New Orleans, French Quarter
We had Carlo, and he was engaging, and told great stories. We only had 3 people in our group, so it was nice to have the time to easily listen, and we were able to stop and sit a few times on the tour. We do a lot of ghost tours, and this was very different, and we really like the true stories.
Great tour and history, some of it recent history too. Would definitely recommend this tour
I had a good time on this tour. Very informative and got details that I did not know before , would definitely go again.
Great Historian guide. Our tour was just ok. The content of the tour was interesting but not necessarily on topic throughout the tour. We expected more information on murders and mystery and it was sprinkled in here and there but primarily it was the history of New Orleans. We have participated in several tours in New Orleans and this was our least favorite.
Anderson was great! He was so friendly, easy to talk to and we had a great time!
A little slow to start but definitely lots of fun and entertainment. We had a good time and will come back
We had an excellent experience on the true crime tour in New Orleans, thanks to our guide, Mikko. He was incredibly knowledgeable and super fun, bringing the stories to life in a way that kept us completely engaged. Even though our group was very small—just the two of us—he still went ahead with the tour, which we really appreciated. Mikko’s love for New Orleans and deep connection to the city were evident throughout the tour. What made it especially compelling was his personal insight and firsthand experiences with some of the people and places involved in the stories. It added an authenticity you don’t always get on tours. If you’re interested in true crime and want a guide who truly knows and loves the city, this tour is a must.
Carlo was nice but doesn't know how to tell a story. We left after the 2nd stop. Rambling, full of unrelated info, sometimes having to go back and add a detail he forgot. By the time he got to the actual crime, it was anti-climatic to the point no one cared. This your is an evening of endurance, not enjoyment.
Carlo told us some crazy true crime stories about many of the French Quarter residences. He is a great storyteller and we really enjoyed this tour!
Lots of fun. Lots of info. Take a water if it's hot. They had a poncho we could take in case of rain. Carlo was knowledgeable and fun!
Carlo was a fabulous storyteller and we enjoyed the deep connections he has to the city, the people, and the stories he is telling about the true crimes in the New Orleans French Quarter.
We had a very good time on this tour! We loved learning all the stories of famous murders in New Orleans. So surreal to actually see places where things happened and hear the gruesome details. Loved going to Jean Laffitte's Bar too and enjoyed drinks and music on the piano. Lovely night in the French Quarter.
Tour guide was very knowledgeable of New Orleans true crime. Stories were factual. Would highly recommend.
Mikko was very funny and personable. Not afraid to make jokes and small talk. We had a very quiet and intimate tour with just us as a lesbian couple and Mikko. You may win bonus points if you know 70’s rock band lore. Also the shoppe cat Norma is so cute and fluffy.
It is really challenging to figure out what kind of “spooky” walking tour to take in New Orleans. I wanted something that would be scary enough for my horror-loving teen and also not too cheesy. When my kid was a pre-teen, we enjoyed “ghost tours” in other southern cities (Savannah, Charleston) and they can delve into cheesy pretty quickly. I read a lot of reviews and decided that the “true crime” aspect of this tour was appealing. Since there was an age restriction (over 16,) my hope was that it would hit the right balance of scary, but not cheesy for our group. Our guide was very knowledgeable and made point to tell us the facts of each case. If he delved into speculation, he always made a point to say that-I did appreciate that the stories were true. However, in an effort to state the facts, sometimes the experience lacked shock value/delivery. Sometimes he jumbled the stories/repeated information that he already said or got the sequence of events mixed up. I can appreciate that if you’re doing multiple tours in a day, but I expected more for what we paid. He did admit and apologized that he was a bit distracted, but it made me wonder if we would have been happier with another tour altogether.
Mikko was an amazing guide. We loved the stories. He was very informative about the city of New Orleans.
Really wish it was different. I had such high hopes for it too. The fact that it was lacking in entertainment was very disappointing. The stories didn’t seem compatible with the area, a lot of them took place elsewhere and either began or ended in NOLA but it wasn’t the general history of the area. It was more opinionated than cold hard thrilling facts. I honestly enjoy a podcast more. What was promised was not all there, we didn’t enter or get that close to the locations that were listed and the highlight location of the tour, being the Lalaurie Mansion, the main reason I even booked this tour to begin with was completely overlooked. We never went nor got close to it and no stories came of it either. It was highly disappointing. The tour guide Mikko, seemed tired and disinterested in his work as guide, like he was it happy to do our tour & he drifted off and had long pauses when telling the stories almost like he was either trying to remember the details or filling in the blanks & the walks in between locations were in silence and we spent more time sitting in bars than anything. He even made it blatantly obvious and stated he would gladly take drinks as his tip & my group wasn’t into drinking but he went ahead and drank anyway. Honestly would like a refund of some kind. Don’t feel like I got what I paid for. This was the worst moment of our entire trip. Wish my tour guide had been Dane, I heard so many good things about him. Incredibly bummed out.
Came to New Orleans for a weekend trip and decided to take the crime tour. Our tour guide Dane was INCREDIBLE! He was so knowledgeable and funny and made our experience amazing. Would definitely recommend!!
Our guide was very knowledgeable and thorough. She offered a great amount of detail about the events and people involved. We really enjoyed the tour. Highly recommend.
Great tour. Dane was fantastic, very entertaining story teller! We would highly recommend this tour.
We had a great time! Dane was probably the best tour guide that I have ever had. He was very informative and was able to keep us all engaged. He made sure to include everyone while he was talking. We learned so much more than if we had done a ghost tour. As we are true crime junkies this played into what we love! Would definitely recommend!
Elaine was so wonderful and very knowledgeable. It was incredibly fun to wander with a drink and listen to the grisly, true stories. Can’t wait to come back and try a haunted tour!
Eight of us signed up for the 4 PM tour. We stopped the tour 45 minutes in, since we were learning nothing interesting or legible. Not really tied with neighborhood or the city, this tour could have been a email. Some people were falling asleep standing up. Worst tour we’ve had, very disappointed.
Dane was an amazing and engaging guide! We learned so many interesting stories about true crime in New Orleans! He made it entertaining! Would HIGHLY recommend!
Really enjoyed learning about the various crimes that occurred throughout history. And getting to see the artifacts and learn about the culture and happenings going on.
Anderson was awesome and informative for the true crime tour! His story telling was engaging, especially in the small group setting we had - 4 people. Passed other tour groups with 20+ and I prefer a smaller group tour. Totally recommend!
Dane was an excellent tour guide and added his acting skills to make his storytelling extra special. It was interesting to learn history of New Orleans and how it is incorporated into the crimes that took place.
Mikko seemed like a nice guy. Tour started ok, but when he started talking about cults & Donald Trump, that was it for us. I didn't pay $60.00 to listen to someone's political ranting.
Elaine was an excellent guide! She is a fantastic story teller and was very knowledgeable about the area and history of NOLA. We had a great time and would definitely do another tour with Elaine again.
Great stories with both a historical and modern touch. Guide had great energy, was knowledgeable, and is a great story teller.
Mikko was so funny and knowledgeable. The tour was small, and as we watched all the larger tours pass us, it felt good to be one of the small ones. Easy to hear and see everything that way. Would definitely recommend.
Anderson was a great tour guide and very knowledgeable of the city. He had many stories to tell and did a great job of storytelling.
Anderson was amazing!! We had the best experience and it made our trip so fun. He did an excellent job and really went above and beyond to give us a great time, and was so knowledgeable and kind. I definitely recommend this tour and Anderson as the best guide!!
Mikko was a great tour guide and very informative. Knew all the local spots and back roads. Gave good info for local bars and restaurants
Fantastic experience! Our guide, Dane, was charming and very informative. Made hearing stores about murders and serial killers that much better. Would definitely recommend!
Anderson was excellent. Really informative and such a please to spend a couple if hours with someone who clearly loves and has a passion for his work.
Anderson was a fantastic tour guide for the true crime experience tour! Genuinely could not have asked for a better experience and interaction. Would definitely recommend as a must do in the French quarter!
This was the best tour I’ve taken in this city. I love listening to True Crime Podcasts and so this was a no brainer. Our tour guide was Anderson and he did amazing. I learned so much. We highly recommend
Very knowledgeable, fun and friendly. Elaine was a great guide. She has a bubbly personality and was very engaging with the group
Had a great tour and learned a lot about the history and interesting facts of several criminal minds that lurked in the city! Had a nice walk on the streets too. There is a lot of standing and listening so I would not recommend this for elderly or youth.
We chose this tour because they take smaller groups and we felt it was easier to hear and to interact with our tour guide. Our guide was Mikko and he was great!
Elaine was a great guide! She is an excellent story teller with a knack for connecting with each individual on her tour as she guides them through the streets of New Orleans. We had a great time and will definitely take another tour on our next trip!
