We had a wonderful time on the steamboat in New Orleans! It was a fun experience with beautiful views of the Mississippi River, a nice atmosphere, and a live jazz band playing in the background. A lovely way to enjoy New Orleans and its charm. Definitely recommend it!

So much fun we didn’t have a meal but we could get cocktails and popcorn wonder around the boat ! Listen to the guide
Parking can be an issue, but everything else went nice and smooth. Good lunch & Great narrator about the river.
The boat ride was very relaxing and scenic. It wasn't too cold/hot. The food was good and i appreciated that it was served not completely buffet style. The food was good and not overcooked. Although getting on the boat took longer than expected it was still a smooth entry and exit. The music wasn't overwhelming either. It wasn't too loud. You could hear the music but it could also be drowned out if you are talking to someone. I would definitely do this again!
Definitely not a thrill ride. Interesting for the history ( but even the speakers around the vessel were not great). To be fair, we did not get the lunch. We were told previously it was not good, but we met people after the experience who said it was excellent. So, different strokes for different folks I guess.
So much fun!!! Learned a lot! Captain and band was great! We will go again for sure! We took a lot of amazing pictures
It’s a great experience that’s worth it, we enjoyed it a lot. Perfect for creating memories with the family.
Terrible experience!! The absolute worst part of this trip was waiting in the long line for 40 minutes while music was blasting from overhead speakers. It was louder than I had experienced at many rock concerts. Many of the passengers obviously had picked this cruise to get drunk. I couldn’t hear any of the announcements over the yelling and singing. The final blow was that we saw very little of interest.
It was a beautiful day for a boat ride. I had a nice time on the boat with some good live music. I learned a lot.
It was a nice ride down the river. A bit of history and lovely music
This was such a wonderful cruise! We enjoyed hearing about the history and enjoyed the jazz. Even danced on the dance floor! Also make sure to stop by the bar for the best Bloody Mary ever!
This was an amazing part of our first day in New Orleans. Enjoyed everything about this cruise. Lunch was fantastic. Captain was awesome! Loved seeing the city from this vantage point. Mississippi River was gorgeous. Def recommend!!!
Excellent brunch and service. The captain or whomever was narrating was hard to hear and understand at some points.
Great experience, from the steam engines to the jazz band. It’s an iconic experience and one that can’t be missed.
2:00 pm to 4:00, boat didn’t leave until a few minutes after 2:30pm. I enjoyed the trip, but a two hour tour is two hours.
Had a great experience with this company, good value for money and a lovely tour on the Mississippi, enjoyed the lunch as well.
We had a great time on this cruise. The food was prepared as table service, and was surprisingly good for food prepared for such a large group. The jazz band was very good. And the guide gave good information as we moved up the river. We were very relaxed and decided we will do this again next time we are in town.
I booked the 2pm tour yesterday. Boarding started at exactly 2pm and we left the dock at 2:26 for a 13 km trip up the Mississippi River. We were entertained well and learned a thing or two on the way. Overall a very nice adventure
Tara was incredible! She had wonderful knowledge about the history and workings of the city and also shared a very personal story about surviving hurricane Katrina, which drove things home for us! We felt really lucky to have her as our guide and would recommend anyone hop on a bus tour with her! She was the perfect blend of Funny, knowledgeable, and welcoming! Truly appreciate her authentic tour and presentation of the city! Thank you, Tara!
The band is in the dining room, and they made the trip. The captain's tour was insightful and amusing. A bucket list item checked off on one of the only steamboat left. I would definitely recommend and even come back again for this band.
We had a great time! Good food! Great crew and people on board. Service was top notch. I’m local but my in-laws and girl friend are not and they had a blast.
Very par/subpar experience . Food was average. The best part of the experience was the listening to the jazz trio. They were awesome!
The entire experience was historic and with the jazz music really transports you back in time. The food was good and plentiful. We enjoyed catfish, beans and rice, and jambalaya. The bread pudding though was the best. The band on board played and narrated the areas we were passing. Recommend to go at least once for the experience.
You could not have asked for a more beautiful day for the steamboat ride. The lunch was delicious and customer service was wonderful! I lament in saying that I did not enjoy the constant narration by the gentlemen on board. It was distracting and I felt took away from the cruise. 80% of the time was spent listening to his narration’s. Were often content was repeated and overlapped, with the other 20% occupied by the jazz music.
This was such a great experience! A absolute must do when visiting New Orleans. Super relaxing and educational. I will go back every time I visit.
We had a wonderful experience! The food was delicious and plentiful! I have food allergies but found many good options! Music was fantastic!
had a wonderful day on the steamboat. every thing was perfect
We loved it all! The food was great. The jazz band was fun to listen to. The narration was very informative. I liked being able to take a tour of the ship.
Nice option to due for some down time and to get a little more experience of the New Orleans culture. The food was tasty and the vibe was creole all the way.
This was a nice tour. We enjoyed being on the Mississippi River. Tour guide was very informative. The line was long getting on the boat but once we were on it was great. Nice Jazz music.
This was relaxing and enjoyable. The meal was better than expected. Iris provided excellent service. The historical relevance of New Orleans was surprisingly interesting.
Great time had by us.very informative tour. Very relaxing experience. I would recommend it to all my friends and family.
Superb river trip down the Mississippi on a true steam paddle ship. With the organ pipes blasting till departure, it was a fab way to set off on a 2hr cruise. Great commentary along the way and some great views of other maritime vessels, riverside buildings, & an oil refinery to boot. Food & drinks available onboard and with a Jazz band playing tunes for all, can only highly recommend.
Great value for the money, get the lunch with the cruise
Great experience took my husband for his birthday he really loved it and he was surprised about the lunch that was served it was all delicious and just enjoying the ride was amazing.
The first thing you do when you board is eat. The food is good and the food only will be served to your table, you have to get your own drink and the sweet tea is sweet but good, so mix it with the unsweetened tea. You finish eating eating first and then steamboat sets sail. The commentator is informative and there are a lot of sites to be seen. I would most definitely recommend this to anyone.
Very nice excursion for price. We had lunch and alcoholic beverages( you pay), tea, water complimentary. The menu for lunch good fresh salad with hidden sweet light dressing, fried catfish 😋 👌🏾, dirty rice, jambalaya. Dessert ess bread pudding. The wait staff was EXCEPTIONAL, they we very accommodating to our needs and food was hot and fresh. I'd definitely do this again. We traveled at good time of year because after lunch we set outside and took in view of steamboat traveling across water.
The cruise was very nice. The jazz band was awesome. However, the music playing before and at the end of the cruise was so loud and shrill, many people were covering their ears. It was difficult to tolerate.
We LOVED this excursion! What a way to experience NOLA…we highly recommend you do this! The ship is fascinating and the music fabulous!
Informative narration on the way up and great jazz played live by Dixie Stompers on the way back. Really a must do for every visitor to New Orleans
This experience was amazing. I got engaged on this boat during our trip last weekend and I’m so glad I did! Amazing time
Beautiful boat tour of the river and surrounding areas of New Orleans. The narrator was perfect and the steamboat impeccable. Highly recommend the Natchez boat cruise. The duration was just right too.
Could be very windy and chilly, prepare accordingly, and bring a jacket. Outdoor seating was hard and uncomfortable and did not provide padding on seats.
The boat ride was very enjoyable. However, the pipe music while waiting to board at the beginning of the boat ride was awful and very unpleasant. Too loud!!! Please, do not submit tourists to this awful sounding music. I had to put earbuds on with other music to survive.
It's a very nice 1x1 getaway with a child. Lol, 1. I had the brunch option, it was very good. We never had gumbo, but its delicious! Loved it!
We had a wonderful experience! The tour was fantastic, the food was absolutely delicious, and the staff was incredibly kind, friendly, and welcoming. Everyone made us feel comfortable and ensured we had a great time. We truly enjoyed the entire experience and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable outing. Thank you for such a great experience! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I purchased our tix from VIATOR and they said “Nachez City of New Orleans” for the boat. Well, turns out that is two different riverboats. One is called Nachez which was $45 pp and the other is called City of New Orleans which is $25pp. I paid for Nachez prices but once we got there they would only allow us on City of New Orleans boat. NOT A GOOD EXPERIENCE and feel very ripped off
We enjoyed this 2 hours cruise along the Mississippi. Be prepared for queuing up to board for about 1/2 an hour. We didn’t do the lunch. The commentary was interesting and the music was good. We loved seeing the engine room and the paddles.
Fabulous experience. Such a relaxing way to see New Orleans. Steamboat Natchez was all I expected. Gorgeous views and excellent commentary throughout the tour. Lunch was ok, a bit cold. If you don't like local cuisine then don't add it.
Beautiful views and interesting narration. Drinks and music were very good. I would definitely take the 2 hour cruise vs the 75 minute.
