New Orleans Large Airboat Swamp Tour

A wonderful way to see New Orleans Bayou. Spanish moss drenched trees and wild life a plenty. Gorgeous and full of gators.

Loved the experience. We went first thing in the morning and we saw tons of gators and birds. Our guide was knowledgeable and told us so many stories. We’d def do this tour again.

We lucked out because our first tour booked on this app canceled on us the morning of, took a last-minute booking on the 4:15 large airboat. Looks like a massive storm was rolling in, guide Bobby M says not to worry boy was he right. It sprinkled for 60 seconds and then we were the only people on the Bayou. Overcast with no punishing sun scorching us! And our first stop this guy walks a gator out of the water and get it to pose with its mouth open like a pet dog, then lets my kids throw snacks to this 10 ft gator while it snaps them up. Then we go to the most picture spot in Louisiana, and he’s calling for another animal, a raccoon appears from the woods and takes a marshmallow literally from his mouth. We move forward as the trees cave over the waterway with Spanish moss hanging down in a scene fit to be framed and hung over your fire place. Saw more gators and wild life than we could count, towards the end a few sprays of water from the boat, so had to change our shirts. Bobby M was super friendly and knowledgeable, quite possibly the best excursion we’ve been on during our 41 state adventure!

We got to our swamp tour and met Dewey our guide. Dewey was professional personable, and passionate about his tour in the swamp. Dewey gave us great insight on the history of the swamp, we met several local friends on land and in the water. He covered all the questions and made our experience awesome and amazing. We would do this again with Dewey! 5 🌟

This was an incredible experience and an amazing adventure. Our guide, Captain Dewey, was incredibly knowledgeable of the swamps, knew the local wildlife, and handled that boat like a dream. We cut through the swamps with precision a she took us to a number of spots where we saw tons of wildlife. Took us to see some big gators, and even let us hold a baby gator on our tour. I will definitely be back. Higley recommend.

Fantastic ride through a lot of different waterways with different scenery. So interesting and a wide range of knowledge shared.

The tour was interesting. Bring ear plugs if desired. The boat engine is loud. Ear cuffs provided might not be adequate. Staff was knowledgeable and friendly.

Everything about this trip was easy! We drove ourselves there and got stuck in traffic which put us about 10 minutes behind. We called the company and they were super and friendly. Our guide, Brandon, was funny, knowledgeable and informative. We saw several alligators and other wildlife.

Dewey was terrific. I took my two boys 15 and 11. My 15 year old is hard to impress but he was smiling and having a great time. It was beautiful out there and the guides have a great relationship with the animals so they come right up to the boat.

The highlight of our family trip to NOLA 🐊 We hopped onto the large airboat and immediately were in awe of the beauty of the swamp. The trees and water and of course, the alligators. We also saw a raccoon and birds. Our guide was amazing, knowledgeable, and safe.

Boat ride was great. We seen a lot of alligators. Tour guide was very informative. Overall great experience.

2nd swamp tour. My first was with a different company. Louisiana Tour Company was hands down the best ! Loved it !

We had Captain Bee Bop and he was outstanding. You could tell he loved his job and his homeland and was so knowledgeable and kind. So many gators! Highly recommend. Thank you for such a great experience!

Such a unique experience. Dewey was our airboat guide and he made it so much fun. Very knowledgeable of the land and the wildlife. So many cool sites. We were able to do this before our flight home. Perfect way to end our trip. Everyone working at the company was so friendly.

This was an absolutely awesome experience! So good we went back and did the swamp tour a couple of days later! Make sure you have some cash to tip your guide! I didn’t and felt really bad as Captain Jason deserved a tip.. I am so sorry!! We really enjoyed your tour. Super informative and great to see the Alligators & hold nibbles! We also had Bobby tour us and both guides were super informative and enthusiastic about their jobs! A must do if you are visiting here

Dewey the guide was awesome. We saw lots of gators . I would recommend bring a jacket, when the boat gets up to speed, its a little chilly. Great time

It’s exactly what you hope it’s going to be! My daughter and I had the best time. We’ve been on a road trip for the last week and decided for NOLA to be our last stop and hoorah. The swamp tour was the first thing we did when we got here. Dewey was our Captain, and he was a fantastic guide. Very personable, laid back and knowledgeable. Everyone from check in to the snack shack were so nice and helpful. Would definitely recommend! So many gators and the scenery was just beautiful!

The experience was great. The explanation about the alligators and their growth was very interesting. Learning about the swamp where they live was important because it helps us understand how alligators survive in their natural environment. The history of how the preserve was created and protected was also very interesting. By the way, meeting Frank was the best part. My girls were so attached to him that they took a little more time away from the others, but who could resist such a cute alligator to cuddle with? Thanks B-Bop

Tour was great and highly recommended. The guide was knowledgeable and funny. Kept the kids entertained the whole time.

You will see gators! You will learn about the Bayous, canals, marsh, and swamps. You will learn about the wildlife. It was an incredible experience.

Hoped we’d see a couple gators but was ok if we didn’t and we saw soo many! 1000/10 recommend! Even got to hold a baby gator 😍

All in all our experience was perfect. Ernie was amazing. He kept us well entertained and had us laughing the entire trip. My only advice would be to bring a blanket or a jacket, if you are going to be doing the tour during the winter months, even if the weather is 70°, you will be cold on the water.

Great time on our airboat , even with the cold weather we were able to find a big gator out and about, lots of fun and exhilarating donuts in the swamp

Captain Beebop was AMAZING! We took the first tour out in the morning and had the absolute best time. He shared incredible information about the swamp and wildlife, and we saw a ton of gators up close. I’m a local, but I brought friends in from out of town and they absolutely loved it. The morning tour was perfect, and the experience exceeded everyone’s expectations. Highly recommend this airboat swamp tour—Captain Beebop made it unforgettable!

We had a fabulous experience on our Airboat adventure! We saw several alligators and enjoyed learning all about the Bayou! We even got up close to one large alligator- so nifty!

So much fun! Everything about the trip was fun: boat ride, guide, birds, gators! My son smiled the whole time. My favorite was seeing the momma gator with all her babies!

Best swamp/boat tour I've ever taken. ERNIE was educational and took time to find the wildlife so we all could enjoy it. Easy drive from News Orleans or have translortation provided. Great excursion. Would recommend to all. We'll be back POPPOP!

We weren't sure what to expect. We booked the large boat because it was cheaper. I wish I could remember the name of our guide. He was good. We saw tons of gators. We even saw a mama with about 12 babies. Our Screenagers complain about everything, and even they thought it was a good tour.

This was super fun! We saw huge gators, the scenery was beautiful, and we got to hold a baby alligator. We wore rain jackets but we didn’t get very wet. Pull your hair back!

Such a great time viewing beautiful Bayou’s! Our tour guide was so much fun. He gave my kiddos marshmallows to feed the gators. Will be planning a return Trip soon.

Captain Bebow was amazing! Knowledgeable and so funny! We had a blast! Learned several things and lots of good questions asked by the group. He took us around and we saw so many gators! Was neat to hold the small one and see him interact with a couple of the swamp gators.

Knowledgeable guide, saw plenty of gators. Could be hard to get an uber back to French quarters. I would recommend the trip.

Not a lot of wildlife on my tour. We saw a few alligators, mostly small. It was more about an airboat ride.

Great experience. We saw lots of alligators. Capt BBop was the best guide. He told us so many cool facts about the bayou. I would book this trip if I were you. There are many companies out there but LA tours is locally owned and Capt BBop is from Lafitte so he knows the waters and any questions you have. Bring the kids too. It’s very educational

Bebop was the absolute best. The airboat experience was AWESOME!!! Bebop was very knowledgeable and you can tell he enjoys his job and takes pleasure in it. And the grand finale, FRANK!! Can't stop talking about my experience.

We just had the best experience doing the airboat tour today! Our guide was amazing - didn’t catch his name but he was very knowledgeable, great with the wildlife, and observant of everyone on the boat! He got a gator on the boat, showed us some local critter friends, and even let us hold his baby pet gator. Such a great time! Loved getting to go fast through the canals! Highly recommend!

It was awesome!!! Learned a lot about alligators the man that did the tour was very wise and knew a lot. I loved it!! Can’t wait to come back for another tour with him. He was an older gentleman~ been doing this for 19 years and could tell. The information he taught us!!!

So much fun!!!! Trey was an awesome guide! Even when the weather didn’t cooperate he kept us safe. Highly recommend!
