We had an amazing experience on our jazz tour with Katherine! She was friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about the music and history of New Orleans. We visited two jazz bars with live performances, which made the experience even more special. For us a new NOLA dimension, Guide Kristi has vast expertise/enthusiasm & eagerly answered questions. Loved jazz clubs where tour prepped us to go on our own. Considerate of our slower senior pace - sturdy shoes a must. Locate meeting place ahead of time. Felt more local than touristy.

Allen was a great tour guide. He took us through the park and its monuments. As we discussed different artists he played music for examples to really get a feel for what he was saying. The bands he selected were two very different and very good samples of jazz. Even the bar we went to was an important historical site. There was walking, siting, drinking, and learning. A little bit of everything.

This was such a wonderful tour! I learned so much about New Orleans and its Jazz history. Katherine did a great job. I highly recommend booking her for the tour. She was very knowledgeable and excited to tell us about the city.

Tour was alright. Tour guide didn’t seem to be familiar enough with the history and stories, with only surface level intro stories. A quick search beforehand or stopping by the jazz museum can give you the same or more information. However the value is in hopping in and out of two jazz spots. You can essentially do the same on your own but as a solo traveler I appreciate the company and interactions with fellow tour members

Kathy our guide was great. It was so great to hear the stories of what makes New Orleans music scene so, so special. We visited 2 great jazz venues and listened to great music as Kathy spent time on the tour searching out the best options rather than going to standard venues, this made the tour so much better. I woild highly recommend this tour.

This tour was actually exceptional, We had Katherine as our guide who was extremely knowledgable not just on the rich history of jazz in New Orleans, but also, as a local, on the best locations to enjoy some of that music. Katherine’s showmanship made the experience very immersive, playing hand picked songs, appropriate songs for every story she told us about, but what was most valuable was her extensive knowledge. She did not shy from the darker sides of the history surrounding the music either, and told it in a very respectful, informative and uplifting manner. We learned some great spots from her on this tour, and she even bought a drink from her own pocket in one location. We have since frequented these locations on our holiday. I can’t thank Katherine enough for adding to our holiday and making it so unforgettable, and can’t recommend this tour enough if you are a lover of jazz, music, history or simply want to find some of the best spots to relax in the city.

My experience was great, and I thoroughly enjoyed the historical background of all the influential Black American jazz artists that pioneered jazz to be what it is today. The length of our tour was as expected. The admission fee was also reasonable including a drink of our choice at one of the jazz clubs. In between 2 of them, Catherine walked us through the French Quarter and gave recommendations on jazz clubs in NOLA. I also enjoyed the historical context of certain landmarks and statues of jazz pioneers in Louis Armstrong Park, I highly recommend participating on this tour on Sundays with Catherine, because of the special sight you’ll get to experience!

Adam was a knowledgeable and passionate guide. Starting in the park, we were able to hear some historic recordings and track the history of the jazz sound around prolific musicians. I would recommend this tour to lovers of music and history.

This was hands down my favorite thing I did in New Orleans! The tour took us to three fantastic jazz spots, each with its own unique atmosphere and incredible music. Our tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable and did a great job sharing the history and culture of New Orleans jazz along the way. The complimentary drink was a really nice touch, too! Overall, such a fun, memorable experience and a perfect way to experience the heart of New Orleans jazz. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the city!
