Our guide was fantastic. A native to Nola and a great storyteller. His personal attachment to the city and its food mixed with historical facts. It was just unmatched. We laughed the entire time. The food was rich and flavorful, just as you'd expect. I came with my cousins and I promise we will be back.

Raffle was an amazing guide, highly recommend him and this tour. We appreciate all his insight in getting the best food in New Orleans
pir tour guide Raffle was very knowledgeable and very friendly and funny.
Raffle was very knowledgeable, friendly, funny ! You can’t ask for a better guide, full of amazing stories, history, culture and cuisine! Thank you for a great experience today!
We were just picking something to do to fill some time we had and the tour became the highlight of our stay. Raffle's knowledge of food and New Orleans history is excellent. His delivery makes it memorable.
Overall, I really enjoyed the history lessons and the backstories of what I was eating and experiencing. Kudos to Raffle for being a great tour guide, very entertaining.
Raffle was amazing! He was very knowledgeable, and funny. The places he took us had good food, and clean restrooms. I would recommend and return to all three of the restaurants he took us to. And I would definitely recommend taking the tour with Raffle.
Really great experience from a real local. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to hear about new Orleans culture and history, while enjoying great food.
The "Taste of Nawlins" walking tour was absolutely AMAZING! Raffle was our tour guide and he is definitely a tour guide I will never forget. The pick up spot was easy to get to and be picked up from via UBER. Raffle sent a text out hours before the tour introducing himself and confirming our pick up spot and time. Raffle was very personable and had us laughing from start to finish. He grew up in New Orleans and was very knowledgeable about the area and the preparation of different cuisine in the area. He gave us a mixture of the city history, his family history, and the restaurants we visited. We visited 3 different restaurants. Raffle was known by numerous restaurant workers and owners as we walked through the French Quarters. We taste tested red beans and rice, etouffee, jambalaya, etc. with Raffle sharing recipes that locals use to get particular flavors and the history of how the foods came to be. After the tour he escorted us back to the area of the starting point and gave directions for different street we could use to be picked up or different places we could go to for dessert. This tour was even better than what I was hoping for and Raffle's engaging personality was the defining line. All the history of his city, family, and restaurants connected perfectly leading to an authentic food experience with an excellent local host.
The New Orleans food tour was a cool way to experience the city’s culture through its cuisine. Every stop featured delicious local staples that showcased the unique flavors and traditions of New Orleans. Our guide shared fascinating stories about the history behind each dish and offered recommendations that only a local would know. It was the perfect blend of amazing food, rich culture, and insider knowledge. I highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to experience the authentic taste of New Orleans.
Raffle was great and a very knowledgeable tour guide. He was super friendly and was happy to answer all questions. The food was delicious, my only complaint that there wasn’t more food lol. Would absolutely do again!
We had Raffle as our guide. He was Fantastic, friendly, and a whole lot of personality. The samples were the perfect size. I would definitely recommend m.
it was a great tour, the tour guide was very knowledgeable and funny. the food was amazing and the restaurants were very accommodating.
My husband and I set up multiple food tours of the French Quarter for our wedding anniversary trip. We had Raffle as our guide and we loved his personality and the history he shared with us. We also enjoyed the fact that the restaurants were all part of the Oceana family.
This was a fascinating tour and Raff was a fantastic tour guide who not only grew up in the French Quarter, but he’s a very knowledgeable cook as well and shared how the dishes are made. We felt like we’d had a hearty meal by the end of the tour. It’s a tasting tour so come hungry!
Omg!!!! What an amazing tour. Raffle our guide was knowledgeable and and spoke organically about the culture of New Orleans. He was funny and energetic. The food stops were great. Having been to New Orleans multiple times we had already experienced 2 out of the 3 stops on the tour. However ; we were able to experienced flavors we had not savored before. Also learned on this tour from raffle the difference between Cajun and creole cooking and the history thereof. Honestly if you're looking for a great tasting tour that's fun and tasty dont miss this one. Promise you won't be disappointed
Donald was great! Super friendly and invited us into a glimpse of local life. His talks were really informative. The tastings were delicious!
Do this on your first day! If you aren’t sure what to do while in the area or have a few ideas, go on this tour to get a lay of the land. Rafael has immense knowledge about the area, history, and takes you to great food spots. Throughout the rest of our trip, we agreed the food we had with Raffle was the top out of many other places. Based on his suggestions we also changed our plans around to see a few more things that did not disappoint. We’d like to thank Raffle for giving such a great tour and making our trip 10x better with his suggestions.
It was great! Tons of information. Great way to try some New Orlean’s food.
Use it! The Tour guides are very knowledgeable and funny with anecdotes. The restaurants are the best. So much history here, and so many great restaurants. Use the Tour to help decide where to explore the area and where to eat.
Only 3 stops, the guide was great, food was delicious but there were less stops than advertised. I wouldn't have paid for this if I'd known.
We were hungry when we arrived, thinking we would be eating food at several spots, we only had a bienet and coffee all day. Our tour was to be 4-6. Dinner hour. Our first stop, Oceana, we had 2 tiny cups, maybe 2 tablespoons each, of gumbo w mushy shrimp and jambalaya with no protein. The tour guide, Don tried to give us history but it was too loud on the patio to hear. He talked forever. History stories were replaced with lots of cooking stories from his own kitchen. I’m a foodie.… not a chef. I want to talk about food, not cooking. We left there starving. Our next stop, Mumbos, was worse. We were led outside, down a trash can lined path to a back patio. The music from speakers was so loud, any hope of hearing his cooking stories was lost. We were given one tiny cup of ettoufee. It was tasty, but we were hungry! No bread, no ability to buy a drink or soda, Don talked even longer here. Other tourists spoke to us about too much talk and not enough food. By this time, we were starving. He told us we had one more stop to try one more taste then we would just walk up and down Bourbon street while he talked about cooking. It was terrible. Our first food tour left us hungry, irritable and needing to go spend another $$$ to have dinner. Don’t do this your. .
Raffle was our tour guide, and couldn't ask for a better one. He seems to know everyone in the city, and is a wealth of information. It was entertaining and educational!
This tour is the perfect way to sample New Orleans cuisine and hear about its history! Tour guide was fun, casual and funny! Knows his stuff!
Guide was enthusiastic and informative he made numerous recommendations and his love of city was apparent to all
This was a great tour. We learned some history, ate delicious food, had a great tour guide. Raffle was kind and funny. Answered any questions we had.
The guide was very nice and knowledgeable! He shared so much about the culture and history of the city and the food!
Tour was fantastic. Foods we sampled were great local foods. This is a must if you just want to “taste” something that you haven’t had before.
Tours was very knowledgeable and very helpful letting us know what to expect of tour experience with the locals. Good knowledge of the historic history.
Raffle was entertaining and very knowledgeable about the history of New Orleans. He drew you into the story and made you want to know more. The tour was a hit and we'll definitely recommend this tour to our friends and family.
Our tour guide Raffle was amazing, hearing the history of New Orleans and the recipes he shared was top notch. The food we tasted was delicious. If and when we are back in town we will make sure to book future tours with him, thanks Raffle 👍
Scrumptious food at three restaurant stops, with a lot of educational information about the history of New Orleans, the difference between creole and Cajun, led by a very experienced tour guide who grew up in the French Quarter. Recommend in the beginning of the trip so you have a subject matter expert on your itinerary in Nola.
Excellent tour guide. He was very professional, gave us a lot of good information about the history of French quarters, food was excellent
We walked to various restaurants trying signature dishes related to New Orleans! A very wonderful experience.
Raffle was an excellent tour guide. He is very knowledgable about the history of the area and its cuisine. It was obvious that he has a great relationship with the restaurants he took us too, as he called everyone by name and received a warm reception. The food at each stop was great. This was a really nice way to start our trip, and to get a taste of the local fare. We ended up visiting one of the restaurants later in our trip and took his advice on some other recommendations, which were great as well.
It was amazing! We loved it including my six kids. Our tour guide Raffle was super knowledgeable about New Orleans: the food, people, and area. Everyone loved the different foods that we were able to try. There were plenty of water and bathroom opportunities on the tour. Raffle also gave amazing recommendations for the rest of our trip here in New Orleans.
"Don is a kind and knowledgeable guide, and it’s clear he knows a lot about the area. However, the tour leaned a bit too much into personal stories, which made it hard to stay engaged at times. Also, we left feeling a bit hungry—would have loved more food.
We really enjoyed the culinary walking tour in New Orleans. Raffle was the best tour guide, so knowledgeable and the choice of restaurants was perfect! Thank you for a great tour on May 10th!
We had a wonderful New Orleans food walking tour with Raffles through the French Quarter with lots of culinary expertise and small portions to try at various restaurants. We had Gumbo, Jambalaya, Crawfish Etouffé and Red Beans and Rice and there was water everywhere. The two hours were more than entertaining and delicious! Highly recommended.
This is the second time I have gone on this tour and it was amazing both times. My husband and I got to stroll through the French Quarter, stopping several times to try the best of some traditional New Orleans dishes, all while hearing stories about the city's history, prominent figures, and architecture. As if that wasn't enough, our tour guide, Raffle, was fantastic. He grew up right there and had amazing stories of his own to share. Don't miss this tour.
It was fun and the guide was informative and picked really good food places. Was great at answering questions and made the tour a great one
Guide Raffle was very knowledgeable, friendly and entertaining. Food samples were delicious. Highly recommended.
Mr. Wonderful was just that - a wonderful guide!! As a born and bred local, he has a wonderful grasp on the vibe and beauty of New Orleans. The food stops were all great in flavor and amount.
Raffle the guide was super informative and super friendly. Definitely recommend using him as your guide.
I would call it a cultural experience and the guide was amazing, food was good but don’t expect much
Raffle was a fantastic guide. He's so knowledgeable. The food we were able to experience was amazing.
Amazing tour! Don is an incredible guide, sharing not only the history of New Orleans, but also about the origins of the famous dishes of the region, with samples at each stop. Being my first time visiting The Big Easy, this was a wonderful way to learn all about area, taste delicious traditional foods, while exploring The French Quarter.
Our guide was fabulous. The walk was easy, the restaurants wonderful, and the information interesting.
