This is NOT a bus tour! It is a walking/standing around for 10-15 minutes with a bus to different locations tour. A massive difference if you have mobility issues! Christain was like a bad chariacture of a Sgt Major "stand by the line, not in front, not behind" and waving his green light around which also ruined many photo opportunities. More ghastly than ghostly and very disappointing 😞

In the 19th century, an area along Bayou St. John was reputedly the location of many voodoo rituals by Marie Laveau. The Magnolia Bridge over the Bayou continues to serve as a site for such rituals every St. John's Eve.
Your introduction to haunted burial ground begin at the gates of this cemetery built in the 1800s during the yellow fever epidemics as the city ran out of room to bury its dead. Everything was something else before it is what it is today. This famous burial location was once a lepers colony with a cemetery of its own. You might say it's a cemetery on top of a cemetery.
Stop here for a quick break and a chance to grab a bite at Cafe du Monde (own expense.)

I don’t know how to make it better, but I did not enjoy it. I’ve been on previous ghost tours that were much more exciting and interesting.
Very entertaining, informative and fun
I was disappointed. The tour guide was a last minute fill in. The narrative needed stories of Esplanade, the bayou , ghostly and not personal experience with gaters. The driver should not share his personal hardship story as it came across as a “ poor me please help me” plea. He spoke well and concisely. He shared a couple of historical ghostly tales as fill in and they related to the area and were interesting.
Great tour. Tour guide Christian was very knowledgeable . Learned alot about the history of New Orleans
Unfortunately, this tour was not the experience I hoped for, especially because it was my first time in New Orleans, my first day in the city, and I was celebrating my birthday. The tour itself was not as spooky or engaging as I expected, but my biggest concern was the guide’s attitude, particularly toward guests with mobility issues. We had two women in our group who needed a little extra time and assistance. At one point, one woman had to hold onto the gate outside of the cemetery to help with her balance. Instead of showing concern or offering assistance, the guide scolded her in front of the group. The second woman was my mother. She moves a little more slowly when getting on and off the bus, and while she was trying to get off, I heard the guide say, “I don’t have time for this and I’m going to have to leave.” I was extremely upset hearing someone speak that way about my mother. Throughout the tour, I felt that he was impatient with both women and was constantly trying to move ahead without making sure they were able to keep up. The guide also used a green flashlight to mark where the group was supposed to stand and repeatedly told us not to cross his line. I understand the need to keep a tour organized, but his overall approach came across as unnecessarily harsh rather than welcoming. I was also disappointed with how Louisiana and New Orleans history was presented. Very little was discussed about Black or African American residents or other people of color and their contributions to the history of the area. The guide did share that his grandfather was a Freemason, which was interesting, but when questions were asked about the history of people of color, he seemed noticeably uncomfortable. That, in turn, made me uncomfortable as well, especially in a city with such a significant Black and multicultural history. I specifically chose this tour because I believed it would be mobility friendly. Based on our experience, I strongly recommend that the company make it very clear in the tour description that this may not be appropriate for guests with mobility limitations. People need to know beforehand that there may be considerable walking, that the pace can be fast, and that they may not receive much patience or assistance if they need extra time. It was disappointing because this was supposed to be a fun and memorable part of my birthday trip to New Orleans. Unfortunately, the guide’s behavior toward the two women with mobility challenges, especially my mother, overshadowed much of the experience.
Christian gave us a ton of history and information in a lively fun presentation. The mix of stops was perfect.
We had a great time and a great guide. She was super knowledgeable and fun to listen to. Truly great experience for Halloween!
This is NOT a bus tour. It is a walking tour with a bus to the different locations. There is a difference and, for people with mobility issues, it is a massive one. I was also expecting a spooky tour. What we got instead was a guide who insisted on flashing his torch around and demanding that we not cross the line he lit with it. I’m ex-military and I’ve met drill instructors with better manners. There is a stop mid-way through but you’re not told until you’re about to arrive that it is cash only (but our guide made a big deal about the ATM only charging $2). We went to the soda place next door who were happy to take a card payment. By the third stop my knees were killing me from getting on and off the bus and then walking around. We decided to stay on the bus for the last stop. When we finally got back to the start location the guide was highlighting various places to drink in the Quarter but all I needed was my pain killers!
I really wanted to love this—but for a tour marketed as “haunted” I wasn’t spooked at all! The stops felt kind of random, like the industrial bridge at the beginning and I was wondering what was spooky about it. It’s Halloween in New Orleans and hoped our guide would help us get into the spirit. I agree with the review below that the only cemetery we went to was just a let down. My partner and I made it fun for ourselves but it wasn’t what we expected. It would be good for young children!
Drew was the best tour guide you could ask for. He really knows the city’s history and he’s hilarious. Every minute on and off the bus was entertaining. If you’re going to do one tour in NOLA, this is it!
I had planned on writing a review with both positive and negative (ways to improve the tour), but the company continues to argue over email vs hearing my feedback. They have responded saying they will respond to my review with I can only assume more arguing on here so, okay. I gave them feedback and requested a refund for 1 of my 2 tickets, and instead it has turned into an even poorer customer service response which at this point I am simply going to state that I do not recommend this company based on how they treat their customers. Complaints happen but to spend days arguing over email is poor business, to try and say that someone has to accept that they didn't enjoy the experience or feel it didn't contain what was advertised is poor customer service.
Awesome tour guide loved the tour
Our guide was very informative about the history of the area and made it very interesting.
Amazing experience and so Informative. Perry and Shannon work amazing together and are such wonderful guides
The bus tour was absolutely fantastic! The knowledge we received about New Orleans, although very sad, no wonder the history is so haunted. I pray for the lost souls, maybe one day they will find their peace.
Christian loves New Orleans and he is passionate about his job. He gives 100 percent to the tour and brings to life the history of this magnificent city. Also tells some great ghost stories, but mostly he imparts a love for New Orleans.
Fantastic!! Christian was amazing, entertaining, energetic and very knowledgeable! I will be recommending everyone do the tour with Christian!
Christian was amazing!! Thank you so much! Am from here and had a great time!
Very informative and interesting! Tour guide was phenomenal, you can tell he has a passion for his city and loves showing people around. Had the best time!
It was a great experience. I really enjoyed the fact that our tour guide was a Katrina survivor and he shared a little bit of his story and our guy was very informative very courteous and she did an excellent job as well thank you Four the amazing experience.. and I can’t forget about the beignets ,Amazing !!
Christian our tour guide was absolutely incredible and made the tour x10 more engaging and fun. We learned cool new things, heard ghost stories that definitely spooked us and now know why New Orleans is called the city of the dead. Definitely a must do if you’re visiting New Orleans. Our driver was also great because navigating streets on a Saturday during spooky season is no easy thing.
The tour begins at City Park, which you can’t see (if it’s at night). We went to three spots all located within 20 ft of each other. Then back on the bus to the first cemetery that you literally stand outside of the gate while they tell a story. Then we went to a Masonic Cemetary. This one we got to walk through a bit. The last stop besides the drop off point the Katrina victims memorial. Again, we didn’t get to walk into the cemetary. We stood outside the the gate while the stories were told. The tour guide was entertaining at times and preachy others. It was hit and miss but not at all what I expected. We left disappointed.
Christian was a amazing guide
Christian and Perry were amazing
Fun and informative experience with good atmosphere and that Christian fella’s a great guide through it all
Great guide very passionate about his city
Christian did a great job! Very passionate about the information of New Orleans! I would highly recommend him!
Adam and Corey were professional and informative. The cemetery portion is more fun and educational than it is spooky. Morning coffee’s beignets are the best. That’s after eating different kinds all week.
This was difficult to rate with stars. 5 stars for guide 1 star for expectations So went with a 3 star… The guide was knowledgeable and very animated. Great storyteller. But this was advertised as a spooky haunted tour. It’s was NOT in the slightest and simply was not our vibe. He told corny jokes and nothing on the tour was spooky. It was more like a history tour with info delivered through dad jokes and animated theatrical monologues. If you want creepy places and spooky vibes this isn’t it. If you like dad jokes and want kid friendly entertainment this is for you.
Very informative, spooky, and interesting learning about the tragedy’s New Orleans has over come and still overcoming.
The tour was fantastic Christian the tour God and Alvin did an excellent job. I learned a lot about New Orleans just from his stories.
Our tour guide was very funny, told many many amazing detailed stories, and an overall amazing time! Me and my family were on the guide with Christian ! Would do again and again
Excellent history tour. Guide was entertaining, energetic, and knowledgeable. Take this tour.
A great experience! Our tour guy was very energetic and really knew his history! Really loved how he was able to teach us the history behind New Orleans as well as the scares and the jokes…highly recommend and the tour bus was great also, very clean and family oriented with respect! From: Brooklyn
One of the coolest experiences I have ever had!!! The tour guide was amazing!!! A lot of information and laughs and I learned so much about the beautiful culture here.
Drew was very entertaining and especially great with young people. My husband and I enjoyed it very much.
This was an enjoyable tour. Jeff was very knowledgeable and fun. His stories and history of the city cemeteries were really informative. It is obvious that this is a passion of his. Highly recommended to do this tour with Jeff.
The tour guide by far the best!!!!! He was funny and very knowledgeable and what I love the most is that he can handle drunk people and not once got bother. HE IS AWESOME!!!!!! The places he took us were very creepy and I LOVED IT!!! very scary and the energy was everywhere 😨 got what I paid for...
We had an AMAZING time!!! The guide was super knowledgeable and each stop was incredible! I definitely recommend!!!!
The tour was a fun and interesting activity for us to take! We learned a lot, haf many good laughs, and saw pretty sights! Christian was the best tourist for the job!
Christian and Alvin were amazing, christian was made for tour guiding. His voice, the stories and knowledge was very impressive. I didn’t think I would enjoy this tour but he made it fun and enjoyable.
Christian was just the best. He was very knowledgeable and entertaining. He kept things light and engaged and would definitely suggest an increase in pay. You need to make sure he's happy and stays with your company. You would lose a valuable asset should he leave. Pay the man.
Our tour guide was Christian and we had an amazing experience. Christian's passion and knowledge of the history of New Orleans kept us engaged and we learned so much. It was very entertaining. Highly recommend!
Get ready to grow your brain because you will learn A LOT! Drew was fantastic, he knew SOOOO much about everything! Super funny, energetic and smart. Perfect blend of spooky history and non spooky history! 10/10!
Christian was AMAZING!!! Very formative, lots of knowledge and kept everyone entertained!! We really enjoyed this tour and learned a lot of history from him! Would highly recommend!!
Tour guide was Christian, absolutely informative, fascinating, and theatrical. So much info packed in two hours. So much info I never knew in the perspective of a local. From tragedy to triumph this town is a world of its own and he helped us understand "why stay"? The Katrina memorial was heart wrenching. Just don't go during summer early fall we pored sweat outside the bus. And Morning call was Just what I needed to sober up thanks for that! Delicious bring cash only. And TIP YOUR GUIDE!
Eat part of the tour was the amazing guide we had Christian. He was knowledgeable about the city the ppl the places friendly and respectful with a great sense of humor. Great tour very fun
Christian was absolutely awesome! This was a stellar tour! One of the best I have ever been on. I am planning to bring my family back and will 100% book this tour again and will 100% ask for Christian! Thank you! We learned so much!
My husband and I have been to New Orleans since 2011. We had our honeymoon here in 2014 and been back several times through the years. This was the first time we did a tour. We did the cemetery tours with Christian and bus driver Perry. Christian was so informative and told us so many things I didn’t know. He kept high energy and enthusiasm. I would tell anyone it’s a great experience!!
