The bike tour was amazing because our guide John who is the owner of the tour company was extremely knowledgeable of the history of New Orleans, and enriched us with the history and culture of the city. We cruised through various neighborhoods of the city, the bayou, city park, Congo square. The guide was enthusiastic and passionate about his work and made it a pleasurable experience. Highly recommend any tour by Flambeaux bicycles!

Loved the tour with Jordan. We went everywhere!! French Quarter, Treme, Marigny, City Park...I could go on. Jordan was super knowledgeable, my daughter and I learned so much about NOLA. Book this tour! It's awesome!
This was our 3rd bike tour of New Orleans, and it was fantastic! We biked about 8 miles through the French Quarter, Frenchmen Street, Esplanade Avenue, out to City Park, and back along the greenway. We made several stops along the way, where our tour guide, John, shared fascinating information about the history and culture of the area. He was enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and very engaging, which made the tour even more enjoyable. The bikes were in great condition and rode really well. We had a great time and would definitely recommend this tour!
Absolutely fantastic way to see New Orleans and get out of the French Quarter! Our guide was amazing and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and stopping in shaded spots - it was a melting August day!! Very leisurely cycle, with heaps of information on the route. We loved it and would actually do it again next time we visit :) Thank you!
Awesome tour and comfy bikes!!!!! ………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………..
Gomez was EXCELLENT at this tour! We had a great time and learned so much about New Orleans history from him.
We had a wonderful experience with Jordan! Although there were only two of us in the group, he took his time and gave us a great tour. We can tell that he enjoys teaching about the history of the city. He also offered great restaurant recommendations and activities for our stay and gave us his card in case we had questions during our stay.
The Creole Odyssey bicycle tour is an awesome way to see the City, and learn a few things along the way. Highly recommended.
My husband and I just completed this tour today with Gomez who was an incredible guide and story teller. We learned so much about New Orleans and got to see neighborhoods we wouldn't have seen on our own. Loved biking alongside one of the beautiful bayous! The cemetery stop was also great and got to learn about some of the unique burial practices. Appreciated learning about the importance of Congo Square and the birth of Jazz music in New Orleans. Definitely come prepared to pedal! Gomez had an amazing surprise at the end with the way he closed out the tour. Definitely one of the top tours we have ever been a part of! Thank you for sharing your knowledge and time with us!
Absolutely exceptional bike tour! Eric was knowledgeable, engaged, energetic and really shared his love of history and culture of New Orleans.
We had a great time biking NOLA with Eric, who knows so much about the area! We made stops to review history of the area and Eric was mindful where to find the safe and shady spots. My favorite stop was at Cafe du Monde for some beignets and AC. Thanks for a great tour!
Eric is great. He makes the miles go quickly and is incredibly informative. It was a good investment of three hours.
Great bike ride with our tour guide Eric! He was so fun and informative!! Would recommend this tour to see more of the cuty!!
What a great way to experience the city! This was our first time here and this was the perfect way to see more than the French Quarter. I guide was so knowledgeable and friendly. The bike ride was really fun and a great way to cover so much- we had our teenagers, 18,16, 13- all loved it. Thank you for a great day!
Highly recommended, it is a great way to see the city. Gomez our guide was great with the comments and answering all the questions, and he is fully bilingual!!
We do a lot of bike tours and this was one of the best ever. Gomez was a knowledgeable and engaging host who even put in a some OT to make sure we saw everything and got a good look at this wonderful city. We especially appreciated that since we’ve been in situations where stops get glazed over or skipped altogether when things are running behind. Gomez ends his tours with a very NOLA surprise that I won’t spoil. We’ll never forget our time in New Orleans and definitely won’t forget this fun, fascinating tour! Great route, perfect pace, sooo much information. 10/10 would recommend!
Amazing tour with John (Gomez)! He was knowledgeable and fun! The tour lasted over 3 hours and was full of leisurely riding with stops to learn about history of the areas. John was a great storyteller! Highly recommend!
The Creole Odyssey small group bike tour with Eric was the highlight of our NOLA trip. Loved learning about the history, culture, geography, and architecture of the city. Would recommend doing the bike tour upon arrival in New Orleans to get the lay of the land and to incorporate Eric's great tips on the remainder of your trip.
We love a bike tour on our first day in a new city to get a lay of the land and see where we want to spend more time and this one was perfect. Gomez was super knowledgeable and friendly and we saw areas that we definitely would never have known about otherwise. We'll be spending some time in a couple of those spots for sure. We did the Creole Odyssey and really loved it. We had a great experience!
The Creole Odyssey tour was well worth it! Eric is an excellent guide and explained so much interesting history about the city. He is from New Orleans, loves his city, super friendly, and I love that he knew people everywhere we biked! I saw so much of the city that I have never explored before. I highly recommend one of these bike tours!
This is the best way to orient yourself to the Crescent City! Eric captivated us with his storytelling and we learned so much about the heart and soul of this city. It's a journey through several neighborhoods and historical moments. A must do if your first-time visitor or well-traveled soul. Thanks for a great tour!
3 1/2 hour 12 mile tour of NOLA with informative and entertaining guide Gomez. Great value and very fun way of exercising while seeing the sights
$50 per person worth it for 3 1/2 hour 12 mile bike tour of NOLA neighborhoods, cemetery and City Park (Cafe DU Mond stop included). easy pace colorful commentary at key info stops.
Eric was a great tour guide, the stops were well placed and we had a great time learning about the city’s history
It was a wonderful experience. Eric was a fantastic tour guide. I highly recommend this fun activity.
Eric the tour guide was awesome! very personable and knowledgeable and his love for the city really showed in his tour. it was a great way to get out of the French quarter and see the real new orleans!
Eric was our guide and we enjoyed his obvious love of the city, its history, beauty and legends. He gave us a great overview and lots of laughs. It made out trip!
Eric was extremely knowledgeable of New Orleans and an amazing storyteller. I would recommend this to anyone coming to New Orleans if you wanna hear about the history and get to see the city at the same time!
Great ride, very informative. On a one speed bike with an old fashioned seat. A bit primitive. Learned a lot about the history and geography of the city.
We've been lucky enough to partake in a number of city cycle tours in the US and Europe and this was without doubt the very best tour we have done. Eric is a wonderful guide and his enthusiasm for New Orleans is amazing - he presented a detailed overview of the city and its Creole culture. Highly recommended & thank you for a great experience.
This was a fantastic tour with Eric as our guide. His infectious smile and easy going storytelling left us more knowledgeable about the history of New Orleans as we biked around streets at a leisurely pace. We visited places on the tour that we wouldn’t have normally walked around. He also gave great recommendations for local places to visit after the tour. I highly recommend it.
What a great way to see NOLA! Highly recommend this tour, hopefully Eric is your guide because his knowledge was abundant and his delivery was engaging. His awesome accent added to the authenticity of the tour which can sometimes be lacking in other city tours we’ve taken. Could’ve biked another 3 hours!
We had a really enjoyable Sunday afternoon tour with Eric, he was knowledgeable and made the tour really fun! Pace was fine and we saw everything advertised.
My family of 4 absolutely loved our bike tour and our tour guide Eric was the best! He was so knowledgeable about the history and culture of New Orleans and he taught us so much in a fun and interesting way. We got to see parts of New Orleans that we hadn’t seen before and he took great care of us throughout the whole tour. I highly recommend Flambeaux bike tours and ask for Eric as your guide!
The whole trip was excellent! I loved City Park!! Guide was perfect and knew so much information on the history of New Orleans.
My husband and I recently went on the Creole Odyssey bike tour with Flambeaux at the recommendation of a friend. Our tour was led by Eric. There were about 10 people on this tour. The tour provided a short history to the origins of New Orleans which was truly fascinating. Eric has lived in the area for a long time and gave historical facts as well as current information including how they still use the same equipment used years before to drain the water from a recent hurricane. The hurricane was about three weeks before we were there and he told us that a bull shark was found inland after they started draining all the water! There was no remaining evidence of the hurricane during our ride. We stopped at historical sites which Eric explained in detail. Since our stay in NOLA was short we found that this tour met our needs in providing us the history of New Orleans. We considered a walking tour but felt it would not cover to the extent that this short bike ride did. The ride is at a relaxing pace so we never felt too challenged to keep up. Highly recommend this bike tour..it was fun and very entertaining!!
My husband and I did the Creole bike tour. Eric was knowledgeable and entertaining. He was also conscientious about everyone’s safety. Two days later, we rented bikes for the afternoon to explore the city further on our own. We highly recommend Flambeaux. They are a great small local business.
Our guide Barrett, was well experienced with New Orleans history. But we would have enjoyed less history lesson and more biking. We got an hour behind on the tour and feel we could have covered more stops if his presentations were not so terribly long. One stop was over 20 minutes. There were no benches at most of his stops. No stops for beverages. Bikes were older, and not real comfortable. It is a very interesting area to bike!
We had the best tour with Eric! His knowledge of the rich history of New Orleans was fascinating and his love for his hometown was clear. It was the first time weve taken a bicycle tour and we loved it. We highly recommend it. Even though it was blazing hot the tour was on flat streets. He warns you about the pot holes so dont worry. =0)
This was a very interesting tour. Eric's knowledge of New Orleans 's history and his humor made the hot day bearable!
We really enjoyed our tour. It was so much fun biking thru beautiful streets of New Orleans. The bike ride is mostly flat, lots of pot holes but in general an easy ride. Most of the time we rode in the shade but It is warm here, so make sure you prepare for the weather. Our tour guide was a local. Eric gave us so much information about the history & culture that we could not have picked up by ourself. He also gave us lots of great recommendations for restaurants & places to visit. We biked thru French quarter, stopped at various significant historic sights, we walked inside cemetery no.3. We had a bathroom stop at the cafe de monde inside the park & picked up some Beignets. FYI to go Beignets are not as good, you should eat the hot :)
Carl was a great tour guide and the ride got you outside of the french quarter for a different view of new orleans. very interesting and a light exercise.
Fabulous bike tour! This tour is a perfect balance of thoughtful history and bicycling. This tour is a great way to get out of the Quarter to some fascinating areas outside the main tourist areas. Superb!
Wonderful guide - extremely knowledgeable. Pace was quite leisurely and always felt very safe. Highly recommended.
Our tour was amazing! Seeing the city on a bike was an absolute joy. Our tour guide was insanely knowledgable, friendly, interesting and kept us safe throughout our journey. It was the best tour we’ve taken in New Orleans. Highly recommend to anyone who has an interest in the cities rich history and architecture. Thank you so much!
Corey was a treasure trove of knowledge, insight and historical references. The tour took us through neighborhoods rich with architecture, culture and history. Bike were comfortable and well appointed. Cannot recommend this tour and tour guide enough!
Great tour! We loved it. Our guide was very knowledgeable and personable! Would recommend this to anyone. You’ll learn a lot and enjoy yourself.
The bike tour with Eric was hands down our favorite experience in NOLA. We thought Eric's bike tour was perfect--full of interesting information about the local language and geography, personal stories, and fascinating stops along the route. It was a real pleasure to spend time with someone with a rich life history in the area who has both local knowledge and researched facts. The four of us (two couples) of various fitness levels highly recommend this tour to anyone who has curiosity about places they visit.
We took two Bike ride in the town and but this one was the best by far. We where amazed by how much the guide was passionnate and enthousiast about his this city and theses neighborhood. Godd and natural raconteur vibe. We learnt a lot, they are really proud about the creole history and it's hear-warming to see it.
We toured with Corey. We saw some cool stuff and learned some history. Fun ride about 3 hr and 15 min. More talking than riding. We liked it.
