There are short walks. No wheelchair access on the bus we were on. Awesome, you get to walk in a cemetery. There is a break to eat.

The combination City Tour AND Jazz Steamboat Trip was cancelled by the operator. Gray Line Company offered me an alternative of lesser value, but did not mention a refund or reduction of what I paid.
Our city guide Val was wonderful and full of information about the city, architecture, history and places to see and eat. Told us all about the different styles of houses in the garden district. Later that day went on the steamboat paddle wheel boat ride on the Mississippi River, Great views and nice jazz. Refreshments available onboard.
Great city your very informative and fun. I thought I will enjoy the boat ride more , but the city tour was better
Everything good but the food. I will do this again but never with the food included. Raw green beans, cold food, only a seafood pasta was edible and the deserts were moderately decent.
The city tour was excellent. The tour guide, Harris was very knowledgeable and gave us a wonderful New Orleans history lesson. The steamboat entry process was great and well organized. I didn’t have the tickets with the meal option, but was asked if we would like to eat as we boarded. We said yes and was advised to pay at the bar and then was seated. The salad, entree and dessert were served very quickly and efficiently. We were able to get our own water or tea which was included with the meal. They offer drinks for purchase. There was a nice jazz band on board and narration as to the sites we were passing by. We had a great time! Highly recommend!!!!
It was a great tour of the city, although it was extremely hot Our driver and guide were really informative and made sure we didn’t get too hot
The best experience ever! First with the steamboat Natchez Jazz cruise…cruising along with a live jazz band playing. Then, the City Tour where part of it was a guided walking tour!! Thanks to Val and Stacey the best tour guide and driver!!!
It was a fun comprehensive experience - comfortable for those of us who could not stand the heat and stayed in the air conditioned bus, and very informative for those of us who walked outside to learn more about the history and culture of N’awlins. Our guide was very knowledgeable and we greatly enjoyed her stories!
No need to get there early if you are having dinner, otherwise you just wait ages in a queue. You have a booked table. Buffet was good as was the bar service. A guide for the first 30 min then ol’ ragtime music. Great sunset in summer too.
So thorough and informative. Susan did a great job. We saw so much we never would have seen otherwise.
The tours themselves were awesome and the guides Val and Alton on the City Tour were exceptional! The only issue I had was the hour and a half wait in between the City tour and the Steamboat Tour. Both tours were great, but I would recommend booking them separately because the wait in between with the heat was brutal.
Great narration. As a history buff, I enjoyed hearing about the part the steam boats played in the development of the area. As a first time visitor to New Orleans, this was a great experience.
We were all standing in line waiting to board the tour bus when the company canceled last minute while we were in line.
Val and Donald were great making sure we were safe and entertained while also being educated. Very aware of everyone’s comfort and weather conditions.
TripAdvisor had very clear instructions about how to get to the tour, but the people in new Orleans were unfamiliar with the trip Advisor tour. So we had to do a lot of investigating and asking questions and searching around to find the correct bus for the first part of the tour. Finding the Steamboat was easier because there is only one! The bus tour was lovely. Air conditioned, comfortable bus, and our tour guide Lesley was wonderful. She took us through one of the cemeteries and we also walked around the garden district. We were also able to stop and get beignets at Café Du Monde. Delicious! The steamboat ride was equally lovely. We sat on the top level, but under the canopy, so we were out of the direct sunlight and could see everything. The tour part was thorough and interesting and the jazz music was perfect. Well worth the money. The only reason I gave the tour 4 instead of 5 stars was because of our difficulty finding the correct bus for that part of the tour. Otherwise I would highly recommend this experience.
Very relaxing, clean, and informative.
A full tour of New Orleans giving an excellent overview. We knew where everything was and which areas we wanted to re-visit in more detail
We had a wonderful time. The paddleboat was very interesting. The bus city tour was the best. Our tour guide Harris was fantastic. Answered our questions and was so knowledgeable. Highly recommend!
Very comprehensive and informative tour Thoroughly enjoyed the local experienced guide, Harris Parson's, extensive knowledge of the history of New Orleans
It was a great experience, the staff were nice and friendly! Katherine, our tour guide, was very nice and informative! It was vey hot and she still did an awesome job!
Great tour. Harris was very informative, Preston was a great driver. Thoroughly enjoyable
If you’re looking to get some history of New Orleans this is the tour to take. You get to see a good part of the city and the tour guide is very knowledgeable
Excellent tour. Katherine was very knowledgeable and the food was fantastic..........................
The city tour was headed by tour guide Susan. At first she came across as very informative but as the tour progressed the information became an incessant, nonstop, outpouring of facts and figures that eventually went in one ear and out the other. Susan, take a breath, sometimes less is more. New Orleans doesn't actually have that many sights of any note and the tour was dragged out too long by looking at period houses of little interest. The cruise on the Natchez was also disappointing with little of interest on the river banks and the only consolation was being able to say you sailed a steamboat on the Mississippi.
Absolutely perfect. Great narration with Harris. Everything was efficient and on time. Highly recommend this to any tourists. Worth the price.
Lesley and Dwayne were awesome! Lesley is very knowledgeable and great to listen to. The tour time was just the right length. The stop for beignets was a great treat.
Too cold to be outside on the outbound leg (return leg, with the wind, was better. The notation made the trip worthwhile, so many details and historical notes.
I have done the city tour today and Michelle Mueller was our tour guide. She made the tour so much fun with her cheerful and friendly manner. The tour was so much fun, and she truly possessed detailed and in-depth knowledge of the city. Highly recommendable. Thank you, Michelle! Best, Cami
The conductor and staff were great, the conductor was very knowledgeable about the history behind steamboats and the Mississippi River. My only issue was that it was a boring excursion. If you want a slow and relaxing time, then this is definitely the excursion for you. It just isn’t something I would do again.
The tour guide Michelle was so knowledgeable and helpful. I learned a lot and it wasn’t rushed but very comfortable. The steamboat might sic was great and so relaxing.
A pleasant way to pass several hours in New Orleans. The music was the best thing about the cruise. I am not a fan of big crowds, so bear in mind your own preferences. The Natchez was in dry dock when we went; there was no advance notice that the other ship would be used. No opportunity was missed to urge folks to spend money - on drinks, food, gifts, photos... People weren't truly interested in hearing the captain's narrative, which was pretty informative, so it was hard to hear. I recommend you reserve directly with Gray Tours. Reserving through Trip Advisor (Viatour) meant that we were NOT advised in advance that the second part of the tour via bus was cancelled; luckily we were around the next day and were able to reschedule.
I was disappointed as the city tour was cancelled on the 16 th apparently, and I wasn’t notified . I am waiting for a refund
Great trip! Great tour bus guide and driver! Harrison was so knowledgeable and helpful. Amazing that he remembers so much!
City tour was great tour guide excellent would reccomend the paddle steamer was also great got to see plenty great tour
Tour was very informative. Tour guide and driver were excellent. Too bad weather was on the chili side.
The tour was outstanding, and Harris was even more spectacular. The bus driver made the trip fun and joyful! The history told by Harris was interesting.
The bus tour around the city with Harris our tour guide was very informative.Harris was comical, he answered all our questions, he made the tour interesting.
Katherine was a great guide. Very informative. Great overview of New Orleans with stops for beignets, cemetery and garden area.
We had the best time learning the history of New Orleans. Our guide Harris was entertaining and knowledgeable! Can recommend, no water supplied the only negative.
BIGGEST RIP OFF!! YOU SEE NOTHING BUT industrial lots left or right!!! I wish I could get my money back!!! terrible terrible tour its really not a tour!!
Extremely informative. Val could answer everyone’s questions and was a fantastic guide. Robert, the driver was great also.
We did the jazz cruise in the afternoon and the City and Cemetery tour the next day in the morning. Both were excellent but unfortunately we were not informed that the city tour was cancelled the first morning and had to return the next day. Susan our guide on the City Tour was excellent!
It was cancelled we drove there and was told it was cancelled don’t understand why we would have not been advised prior to arrival
Gray Line Tours' city tour with Val was informative and fun, and the river boat cruise was nice and relaxing. We would tell our friends to go.
The first part of the tour was the city tour and that alone may have been worth the money! Then to get to also experience the river cruise made it even better value for the price. Loved it! Tour guide was awesome! She was very knowledgeable and well spoken!
Great time. Jazz band was excellent. …………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………..
Really great overview of the city; would definitely like to try one of their more extended tours in the future. Guide Val and Driver Robert provided an enjoyable experience for the Bus Tour portion; and the stops in the cemetery, Garden District, and Cafe Du Monde help check a lot of your New Orleans "boxes". Only real downside is that like any bus tour some things will have obscured views, particularly if you're on the wrong side. The riverboat was very enjoyable as well. While it looks like it will be crowded when you line up for boarding; once we were on we never felt crowded at all. We were going to eat in the dining area; but when they announced the menu at the snack bar we decided that this sounded perfect. The Gumbo, Jambalaya, and Gator Sausages were all excellent. Good selections of beer and wine, and cocktails were quite nice.
Knowledgeable tour guide. Great sightseeing of the whole city. Loved the combo bus tour and strolls of the cementary and garden district
The tour i booked was a 2 parter..one half was canceled. You took my money, and i am still tring to get half my money back. Please refund!
