I loved the hop on hop off bus. Left first thing in the morning and spent most of the day travelling around the city, just looking at the sites. Got off the bus at Jackson Square and looked around a bit, then back on the bus. It started raining mid-afternoon and parkas were handed out. It helped, but we still got wet. There were three different guides who focused on different things through the trip. Good way to get to know the city. it was fun.

Really enjoyed the tour. Very well explained and fun. Good overview of the city
Wonderful tour! Very knowledgeable guides always ready to answer questions. You can tell they love their work. I know it’s hop on hop off but it’s hard to get off when you’re comfortable on the bus.
Great communication and coupon savings by Steve! Ahis narration was clear and full of suggestions that I appreciate, sponsor local business.
Easy to book online and just hop on at whatever stop we were closest to. All of the guides were friendly and really knowledgeable. We loved Linda and Elroy! There was one guide who was a bit of a dud, but we just hopped off and went to see a few sights on foot. Also, the signage at each sop was easy to recognize (way better than other companies in other tourist cities).
We enjoyed the tour and tour guide. Good information about New Orleans. Would recommend and do it again
I love the idea of it but actually doing it I’m not happy with the service. Our bus broke down and needed a replacement bus.
We always ride the entire route when we do the hop-on, hop-off. We make notes along the way on where we'd like to get off for lunch, shopping, or sightseeing. Then we start the route again and get off and on where we'd like.
Excellent way to see the city and learn more about New Orleans. The hop on/off works great when you want to explore a portion of the city then continue in. Bus arrive every 15-20 so you can always be sure to catch one.
We found Ray to be the most enjoyable but all tour guides were great! We love these tours because they give you all all over understanding of the city. The pick ups were easy.
This is a great way to see the city and having a live guide is brilliant. A very nice way to spend a couple of hours!
George and Jonathan were a great duo! Thanks for an amazing experience.
Be sure to watch for the discounts offered. I am a senior and that option was at the bottom and I missed it.
The first half was pretty. The second half would have possibly been OK but the bus engine was so noisy we were unable to hear the guide at all.
We usually do a bus tour whenever we go to a new city. Whilst New Orleans is a beautiful place there isn’t really many significant points of interest. Of the 18 stops there were only 3 that were of any real interest. The French Quarter, World War II museum and Magazine Street. A more cost effective way to get around is the trolley bus which is a brilliant and cheap way to get around. We still enjoyed the trip but felt the cost was a little high. The guides were very knowledgeable and pointed out places to eat etc.
Great way to learn some history and trivia and get on and off at some great sites like the World War II Museum.
We waited over 30 minutes and there weren’t enough seats on the bus for everyone in line We got off at the second stop and weren’t ever able To get back on because there weren’t enough buses. Total waste of over $100
Great way to get around New Orleans as a first time visitor and see all the main attractions. Our tour guide was great too.
Really enjoyed what we managed of the tour sadly on the day we chose stops 2,3 and 4 were not accessible due to road works. Wish we had know before and we may have chosen something different
very informative tour about NOLA. Tour guide even answered questions. Would recommend to do! Usually do these on my 1st day so I can add attractions or places to my to do list
Very good way to see the city. Entertaining and informative! The ride along the water is just beautiful
It was easy to find the stops. The drivers were friendly and the tour host was hilarious. It's great for elders or people who may not be able to walk around this beautiful city
Our guide Bill was great! Very knowledgeable and fun without trying too hard to be funny. The driver, Gary, did an excellent job as well! Highly Recommend!
Tour guides were very knowledgeable of the history of New Orleans. Well worth the price. I would recommend to all
Hopping off and on a bus is a convenient way to see more of the city. We made sure to sit on the top of the bus, which had a canopy to protect us from the sun. We saw a lot more of New Orleans this way than we could have just walking.
Good way to see what one would really wish to see & go back. Man giving the history was great. We sat on the upper level, the awning overhang was in the way of something’s. The bus went by things too fast, to really appreciate what we were to see. But it was a very good overview.
Did not give a good description on where to hop on the bus
The buses are not on time. They say the are between 20 and 25 minutes apart but we waitin close onto an hour for one. They also will stop at 5pm so if you can’t do the whole trip which is 90minutes before then they will drop you at whatever station they are at or will ask you where are you heading and then tell you when it is finishing. One tour guide mentioned about tipping her and the driver about 10 times during 5 stops. When you are wanting to Hop on Hop off at various times it does become a bit annoying.
It was so nice to be able to learn about New Orleans. The guides were very knowledgeable and gave us a lot of information. We were able to see a lot of the city in a short amount of time.
This was our first time visiting New Orleans and to try and see different things and figure out what we want to do. We decided to do this hop on hop off thing cause it sounded really cool and took us to the main place. We wanted to go with limited walking. We purchased the tickets online and showed up the next morning. I’m waiting for the bus got on the bus no problem. Enjoyed the ride for 45 times and the tour guide was wonderful. We had a good time as we were coming up to the area we wanted to be in we were informed that the bus would not be going to those stops due to a small amount of road construction whenever we informed of this prior to buying the tickets or prior to getting on the bus or we would’ve planned differently, my husband and his friend are disabled veterans, the other wife myself have both had numerous back surgeries. I have no clue about the area or how far we were from the things we actually wanted to see so we got off and we’re looking at the map and we were told that it wasn’t that bad so we decided to try it well you know once you get down there it was impossible to find a cab we couldn’t make it. We had to stop new times on the side of the road finally ended up getting a bicycle trolley for my friends so they could get back up since they’re over by the time. My husband and I met them. The last bus was already leaving the last stop that was anywhere close to us at that point we sat in a hotel room and finally got the hotel to help us get a cab to get back to our Airbnb and reach out to the company, advised them what happened asking for a partial refund at least since we were not informed upfront of the change in schedule have yet to hear back from them. That’s how they treat veterans.
It was easy to find the bus and how to get on and off. The entire thing takes about an hour to an hour and half based on if the bus is actually stopping or not and of course you can take the whole day if getting off to explore each stop.
Great way to get an overview of where you’d like to spend time. We did a complete loop first, then started in the French Quarter.
It was the best way to get an overall perspective of the area to determine where you may want to spend more time.
Great way to see the city and hop off to enjoy what interests you! Get back on and see some more. Economical and convenient way to see lots.
Our experience did not start of well. We waited at Stop 17 for over 30 minutes. One family of 4 started walking. A little after that we did the same. Ran into the couple that continued waiting later and they said bus never stopped at that stop so they ended up walking. Sam, our tour guy was great. We decided not to get off the bus for fear of not being able to get back on.
We really enjoyed the hop on hop off tour around New Orleans, LA. Very nice and skilled driver and oratory, and the host was very knowledgeable and friendly as well. 5 stars!
Great way to learn about the Crescent City. Loved the live narration rather than the recorded version you get on many Hop On Hop Off buses in other places.
Great way to see the sights & spend time in the places you want to.
The bus was late for pick up. Also, they should not charge the full amount when they can't make all the stops but they still charged the same. It was educational.
It was good and easy way to cover more districts. Some tour guide speakers are better than others. It was worth the price.
You need to invest in some new equipment. It took three busses to get us through the circuit in NOLA due to equipment of failure. . With the delays, there wasn't time to safely get off and see anything.
A lot of standing in line to get on a bus that had very few available seats.
Unreliable, overpriced and too many passengers for service Waited 35 mins for bus and then it was too full to take anyone Ended up getting an uber Would not recommend
Although the guide was very knowledgeable the tour was disorganized. Went from one stop to another without any idea where you were and what you were seeing until you got there. Would have been better if prior to arriving at the next stop you were told what was coming up in terms of sites and things of interest so you might be able to determine if this was a stop you wanted to get off at.
great learning experience. the guides were interesting they each knew a lot about the city and asked who was getting off at each stop, the double bus was fun ( we sat on top).
We had a great time and learned a lot about the city. Our driver, Gary and Sam, our guide were helpful and made the trip enjoyable!
We walked to stop two and read a sign that said stops one through four were not getting picked up because of road construction, so we had to walk down to stop 18. Once we were picked up, the ride was very entertaining.
Easy way to see the city and hear the inside background of the sites you are viewing. You can jump off at any point and jump back on later.
We enjoyed not having to rent a car. We went everywhere off and on. So convenient and easy for us to see the sights. We had a Great time. Thank you.
Great bus tour! We always take the Hop on Hop off bus tours when we travel. The one in New Orleans did not disappoint. We highly recommend this tour.
