Itinerary
Experience a guided bus tour of the French Quarter.
Your guided walking tour of New Orleans' unique above-ground tombs is about 20 minutes.
See the Cajuns of the Bayou living and surviving in harmony with the swamps. Here, the waterways are their highways. From the relaxing comfort of our Covered Swamp Tour Boats, we will drift slowly past a 2000 year old Indian Burial Mound, a Cajun cemetery, and a Fishing village! You may see the wildlife that made the Barataria Swamps the Crown Jewel of the Louisiana Purchase. If you choose the airboat option - you will experience the best of both: a swamp tour and an airboat ride. You will travel at high speeds on the airboat then slow down and stop for pictures. Along the way, you will get a personal tour by your local Captain. Our airboats have stadium style seating, so that the person in front of you does not obstruct your view. Every airboat seat is great for experiencing the tour and viewing the wildlife. Gators will get close…….real close!!!

Gary was amazing. Very informative, excellent speaking voice. He sent text message links to my phone with his recommendations for food around the city and museum and other points of interest. Would highly recommend him to anybody! He explained in depth history about the city. Very enlightening. Thanks Gary!
Gary Kuhn is incredible! Best tour & follow up information! And great since of humor.
Gary K. was a fantastic guide! My husband and I loved the historical information, as well as, the personal recommendations for local attractions and restaurants. By far the best visit to New Orleans ever! Our swamp boat tour was equally wonderful! Will definitely be recommending these to family and friends! Keep up the great work!
Everything was great. Only issue was we paid extra for our group of 6 to have our own swamp tour and that did not happen and there was no way to get a refund.
Wonderful experience!! Our guides on both the bus (big comfy van) and the large swamp boat were awesome!! You can tell when likes their job.
City tour was a bit disjointed. Too many movie and TV shows reviews. Would have liked more history. Captain Ernie on the swamp tour was excellent. Entertaining and Informative.
Driver was informative on the tour with great restaurant suggestions. Swamp tour was spectacular.
City tour was excellent. Very informative. Our tour guide was great. The swamp tour is something you do not want to miss. We did the small group Airboat tour. Our tour guide Ernie was outstanding.
Our tour guide was Gary. The entire 3-hour tour was very informative. He shared a lot of information about the city and its history. He gave us just enough time for breaks and to take photos, like at the cemetery. The tour bus was clean, and the air conditioning was perfect for today's humidity.
The city tour could have been a little slower , felt a bit rushed. I know there’s a schedule to keep, but still….
I recently went on a bus tour with Alert Tours, and our guide, Gary, was incredibly knowledgeable about the areas we visited. I was especially interested in the Ninth Ward and the impact of the flooding and damage there. Seeing the area as it is today was still heartbreaking. Gary provided valuable insight into why the devastation happened and also shared parts of his own experience. While his outcome was not as severe as that of many other families in the area, I truly appreciated his willingness to share his story.
The driver was friendly and funny, he gave e us a lot of history, but it seemed to be mostly houses. I dont think we went to the French quarter. There was a big section on Katrina.
Great overall tour. Love the added musical additions to the information. Great rainy day activity minus the airboat due to weather.
The bus tour of the French Quarter & information given by Darren was great and educational. I like the way he handled the bus tour. After we got switched to the Airboat bus, Lorraine was fun but not much of an educational ride. Plus the fact that we had to move to her bus we were seated way back and she did not have any microphone so it was hard to hear. The airboat stated disappointing since we were not called and I had to search which airboat we were to ride. We ended up with Capt Bob. He was great with the tour of the bayou and with educational info about the swamp, alligators, & other animals around the swamp.
I assumed It was with the Louie #3 tour which is the best but, this was different it was a 15min cementary tour that wasn’t like the tour I expected. The swamp tour was decent with Ernie with Louisiana Swamp Tours
Really enjoyed all aspects of this tour.... very informative, courteous and professional guides. Experienced a lot of New Orleans, and surrounding area, in 8 hours. We loved seeing all of the alligators. Experience of a lifetime.
The city and swamp tours were great with knowledgeable guides. The ride out to the swamp was very bumpy and we could not hear the driver talking at all.
This was the BEST tour. It was so much fun and we learned some fun facts. Our airboat captain, Captain Bebop was awesome. He was funny and nice. We toured end of December so chances of seeing alligators was slim. He found us 2. We also got to hold a baby. It was so exciting. He was personable, polite but damn he was funny. We had the best time.
So much fun! We had a blast on our tour of the Bayou. We saw alligators, a blue heron, a bald eagle, and an owl. What a great way to experience and learn about this beautiful habitat.
Excellent tour and guides. Learned so much about NOLA. Only improvement wouls be option to get something to watch other than beignet for the 7 hour tour
Excellent tour. We went on this tour December 3rd. Our bus driver was amazing. He was warm and friendly and knew everything about the City. The tour goes all over the City so you see a lot and get to know the lay of the land. This was great for our first time in NOLA. It was a little too cold for the swamp tour, but again we had a great guide which made it fun. We also saw one alligator swimming around, which was special since they are should hibernating now. I loved the tour but would recommend the swamp portion in warmer weather.
Excellent day. Darrell was an excellent tour guide. He was humorous and informative. Referring to his tourists by their state. Easy pick up right at the hotel and transfer to another bus for the 2nd part of our tour. We totally enjoyed this full day tour.
Darin was our guide and he did a great job of being informative and funny! Great way to see all of NO. Highly recommend!!!!
Learned a lot, very personable fun guides. Special thanks to Ian on the airboat tour! Top notch. Would go again!……………….
It can get cold on the airboat and wet depending on the water/wind so take a jumper. Guide who did city tour was excellent and had great knowledge. Long day if adding the boat after city tour
City tour is a motor coach tour around the city with two stops, no really stops to look at stuff or to buy food so eat before the tour and if you do take the added swamp boat tour you better pack a lunch because you will not be stopping for eight hours for nothing more the snacks and no there is nothing really on the tour for food so don't believe their website when it claims food available for purchase. We seemed to stop alot on both tours to kill time as it seemed. Would I book this tour again, I would say more then likely not. The whole tour seemed to be rushed and got very little time to see anything except as it was either going or sitting still in a out of the way location while the tour guide was telling a story or giving an opinion. Would have gotten the same results with the hop on hop off bus.
Great communication with company. The air boat was awesome. We got to hold a baby alligator. Great job coordinating the transportation.
Daren and Captain Ernie were great !!! A lot of fun with knowledge about Louisiana mixed in. Would definitely recommend the tour to anyone coming to New Orleans for the first time.
Enjoyed very much went in Sep perfect weather. The guide was very informative. Lots of alligators. Worth the money.
This tour was reallly good. The guide on the first was very knowledgeable and friendly. captain Bbop was amazing and friendly 10 stars! The last bus driver was horrible. She was rude and unpleasant. Talking to customers like they aren’t tourist on a vacation. Completely uncalled for attitude. She should find a different job if she is so bothered by her patrons. Outside of the rude bus driver on bus 3 curly wig, thick and black. Everything else was delightful..
The guide was very informative and very helpful learned a lot even though I had been before never taken this tour was very happy I chose it
Our tour guide Darren was great! We purchased this as a group package so I had to do some digging to find out which company actually did the tour and I wanted to make sure I left the review for the right company so I’m about a week late. Darren was engaging and hilarious! We’re from Hawaii and learned so much about the culture, the cities history and the devastation from Katrina. Darren kept us entertained and included our culture in his conversations too, we loved it! It was my sons birthday and Darren even contributed to his growing amount pinned to my sons shirt. He was ecstatic! Thank you for making our first trip to New Orleans such a core memory for our family!
I had a wonderful time. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Loved hearing the stories. Dream trip. Thank you
We had a wonderful time! We learned so much about the city. The airboat was sooo fun! We saw lots of gators, birds, a snake & turtles! Definitely would recommend!
The bus ride and facts spoken about were interesting and very pleasant. The boat tour was absolutely remarkable. Not to be missed really. The captain was incredibly knowledgeable about the flora/fauna and we were able to see many gators (some quite large) up close. I would make this a priority.
Darren did a great job on city tour Enjoyed swamp ride with bee bop or something like that did an excellent job he had a baby aligator and his wife was an er nurse. Did a great job.
Great day and very entertaining. A full day getting to know the area and learning some history about it.
OMG!! Alligators!!! I had never seen them in the wild so it was a cool treat. Best customer service ever and I travel A LOT. Had to reset due to rain. Everyone really patient, polite and accommodating.
We absolutely loved our adventure. Our bus tour with Devlin (Dentin? - sorry I have a problem with names) was awesome. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. We did the swamp tour with the covered boat and it was fantastic. We saw heron, raccoon & alligators. We also got to hold a baby alligator. Our guide was fantastic! Highly recomment.
Tour bus driver made the experience memorable by giving detailed information about New Orleans and cemetery history. The guide on swamp tour was also very informative and educated us not only alligator behavior but also what it means to be cajun as well as what it’s like to grow up with the swamp in your backyard
Both guides were great. The swamp tour with Rocky was fun and exciting. We did get wet, FYI!!! Saw lots of gators and other wild life.
My granddaughter and I took this tour on April 13, 2025. Captain Ernie was our guide for the swamp tour in the afternoon. We had a blast and learned interesting things about the area and the alligators that live there. If you have the time to take the airboat, I highly recommend it. If you are lucky enough to get Captain Ernie as your guide, you will be very pleased with the experience. We also went on the New Orleans City/Cemetery tour in the morning. The guide we had was David and he also was very knowledgeable regarding all the locations that we visited. I would recommend this tour as well.
This tour was great because it combined the bus tour of the city with the swamp tour and both were great - we learned so much about New Orleans and particularly loved the airboat ride - we even got to hold a baby alligator. So fun!!
So informative felt very safe. Our tour guide was very funny. The swamp tour was probably my most favorite part.
The driver dropped us off and left us and a whole group that was on the bus. We had to beg another bus driver to let us on to get back to the city.
Excellent tour well worth the money. Guide was very knowledgeable and interesting. Highly recommend the tour, especially the smaller occupant boat
The bus tour was a little long and boring. Good for the older crowds. The airboat tour was super fun and great for all ages. Our airboat guide was very informative and we would definitely do the airboat again.
Our Coty tour guide, David, was wonderful. He shared so much information on the history of the city. He was friendly, sweet and courteous. Our second part of the tour was with Jason on the airboat. Jason was very knowledgeable, was able to find gators for us too see even though it was getting chilly out. He was funny, courteous, and hilarious. I would highly recommend these tours. My husband and I greatly enjoyed our time on both parts of the tour!
Great trip our guide was Dave he was very knowledgeable with info about the city and cemetery - the jet boat ride was great fun
