Adelai was a wonderful tour guide. She selected a wonderful series of dishes and was passionate about Cajun culture.

Looking for a little lagniappe to complete your trip to New Orleans? These guys are great! With a small group for the tour made for a much more personal experience and the food and guide were phenomenal. Highly recommend it.

He not only shared the history of the food we were tasting, but the history of the r city he clearly loves as well. Definitely take this tour!

First and foremost, the food! ❤️ Our tour guide, Mark, curated the most delightful selection of dishes that gave us such a wonderful taste of New Orleans! Every stop was delicious, but what made the experience truly special was Mark himself. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the food and culinary culture of New Orleans, but went above and beyond by teaching us about the history, traditions, and Southern culture woven into the city’s food. Mark was personable, engaging, and clearly passionate about sharing his city with others. A delicious little journey through the heart and history of New Orleans 👍🏻👍🏻

I’ve been to New Orleans many times. I still learned so much about local food history on this tour. Tour guide Addie was the best and took us to some of the best local restaurants and shops off the beaten path. Overall, I highly recommend this tour!

My wife and I have done a handful of food tours. This was easily the best food tour we have done! Tylyn was an amazing guide for us. He knew so much history and knowledge of all of the places we went, on all kinds of food, and history of just New Orleans in general. He was very attentive, he gave us great recommendations, and really made this tour experience a memorable one. This is also not your average food tour. Most food tours will give you very little samples at all of your stops. This food tour made sure to actually feed us and gave us excellent portion sizes at every place we went. We started this food tour very hungry, and ended it feeling full. This was an amazing food tour that I cannot recommend enough!

Even though this is listed as a walking tour, you don’t walk that far. The street that the tour is located on has shopping when you’re finished. All the food options were different and very good. All the restaurants we stopped at on the tour were organized and ready for us. And our tour guide was absolutely wonderful. He was polite, professional, and knew his history. I would definitely recommend this tour. It was one of the best tours we went on in New Orleans..

This is a walking tour, but you don’t actually walk that far. There’s great shopping after you’re done with the tour. All the food was very good. All the restaurants visited were organized and ready for us. Our tour guide was polite, professional, and knew his history.

We had SO MUCH fun on our food tour with EJ. He's incredibly knowledgeable and shared great information with us while still allowing us space to enjoy ourselves. This tour was an incredible value for the money, because the portion sizes are generous but leave just enough room for you to make it through the whole tour without being uncomfortably full. We visited local favorites that we will absolutely return to and saw a new side of New Orleans. The small group size makes this a perfect outing for friends and family.

Perfect amount of food. Didn’t leave hungry but was able to eat everything. I took the 3pm tour but think I would’ve preferred the timing of the 11am tour as we had a big dinner planned. We were so impressed with Mark’s expertise in selecting meal options (and drink recommendations) that we took his advice for the rest of our time in NOLA. His advice was great and included tips for restaurants that we never would’ve known about (such as getting a tour at one landmark local restaurant).

This was probably the best food tour I’ve ever been on and I’ve been on a few in different cities. E.J. was our guide and was absolutely amazing. His vast knowledge of history combined with personal and familial experience provided a rich and deep understanding of the this city’s food, people, and culture. The five stops chosen for the tour were perfect and gave us a chance to try some interesting and tasty cuisine while personally, stepping out of my comfort zone. Don’t forget the cocktails when you go. Each place will recommend what goes best and you should definitely stick with those recommendations. Overall, I would do this tour 10 times over and cannot recommend it enough.

Actually very little walking involved, so don’t let “walking tour” deter you. We visited five establishments, (four savory /one sweet) not sure if that’s standard or if they vary. Ours were all on same street. I would have preferred a bit more variety in location, but enjoyed what we did. All four (savory) were good, with three of which I’d visit again. I would definitely not revisit our dessert location. It was a disappointment, but in no way a reflection on this company. We would (and expected) have much rather had a traditional New Orleans themed dessert, such as bread pudding or pralines, not cupcakes and macaroons. Our tour guide, EJ was awesome in so many ways. If you can request, do so!

We had a great time with Ty. He was very informative and the food was delish, like a five course meal. Overall, I would recommend this experience! We also had a fun group.

We've been on several food tours and this was by far our favorite! Portions were perfect - totally satisfied without being overly stuffed so we actually enjoyed ALL the food! Ty was knowledgeable and excited about not only the places we stopped, but also the history of the town and food. Highly recommend this tour!

This is a great Tour! EJ was fun, knowledgeable and very accommodating! We saw unique places on Magazine Street, there was a great surprise at each spot, lots of great information and of course good food..

We 100% would do this food tour again. It was a great way to experience a lot of the iconic foods of New Orleans if you have a limited amount of time. Our tour guide was so knowledgeable and friendly. We even returned to a few of the stops later in our visit to try other items from their menus.

We had an amazing food tour with Tylyn! I went with my partner and another couple, and all four of us thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Tylyn was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the history and culture behind each dish, and I loved how he set the context before every stop. It really made me appreciate the food on a deeper level than I would have otherwise. The food sampling was quintessential New Orleans cuisine with some fun fusion elements mixed in. We felt genuinely welcomed at every stop along the way. The tour was very well organized, and the communication beforehand was clear and helpful. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who enjoys not only great food, but also learning about the culture and stories that make it so special.

This was an excellent introduction to the history of New Orleans as well as the foods of a specific area. It would be great to do at the beginning of a trip because the suggestions go way beyond the day.

This was a really neat tour. Getting to experience the food outside of the French. Quarter was a really neat way to experience. Great food that you would not otherwise find. Would highly recommend.

We enjoyed our Magazine street food tour and highly recommend it. Adelai carefully curated the experience to include traditional New Orleans cuisine and new takes on classics. We learned a lot about Cajun culture and are prepared to wrestle an alligator, if necessary. We highly recommend this fun and enlightening tour.

I cannot say enough! This tour was the best. Mark brought our small group to a number of restsurants, including some hidden ones. We had a great sampling from some of the best restaurants in the Audoban/Garden District. Mark is a font of information and is a great host.

3 hour tour with two couples and guide Michelle who's well versed on a lot of historical facts on the history of New Orleans and the culture of the diverse community. We visited three places and had red beans and rice, a Napoleon stack consisting of fried eggplant and shrimp with a crawfish sauce, empanadas, and beignets with coffee. All of the food was excellent! The Magazine Street area was great to walk and shop in after the tour was completed as well. The architecture of the residential area is very beautiful to double back and take pics later so set aside the day as this is more like a day trip! Very well worth having a guide n good times meeting other travelers.

A very thoughtful and informed selection of local foods. Each one better than the last. The food experiences were heightened by Mark’s deep understanding of the local history and restaurateurs. We got away from the typical CBD and French Quarter offerings to get great Etoufee, shrimp and a hot dog with a secret ingredient.

We did the Magazine Street Foodie Tour with Mark, and it was the BEST! I'm a food tour junkie, I take at least one on every vacation, and I can honestly say this was one of the best. Mark exudes a passion for NOLA and it is palpable. Teaching us how to fold an 8-page pamphlet from a single piece of paper, sharing abundant NOLA history, and learning the local lingo were added attractions to the AMAZING food! I certainly would not have tried some of the dishes we shared at the Mom & Pop restaurants he chose. The best part was, they didn't text me endlessly asking for a review! This review is from my heart and was NOT solicited. For a truly unique experience, I highly recommend the Magazine Street Foodie Tour...and ask for Mark!

Everything about this tour was excellent. Adelai was our guide, and she was incredible. She didn't just give us facts about the food; she brought the region and its cuisine to life with a thoughtful mixture of history, folklore, and personal insight. Along the way, she introduced us to fun shops and stores, and was responsive to what our group seemed to be into. It felt like the tour was designed just for us. The food at each stop was incredible, there was a good variety of locations, tastes, and textures, and the tour itself was well-paced. We left full, happy, and wanting to come back to the Garden District for more. If you're on the fence, do it - and hope for Adelai!

Don't eat before you go. B.J. was very knowledgeable of the area and the restaurant's we ate at. I won't reveal my favorite place but the food was very good.

There is no better way to spend a couple of hours while in New Orleans. The New Orleans Secrets Magazine Street Foodie Tour is always delicious! This was our second time to take the tour and we tried a couple of new spots and were treated to new items this time! Ty was a great guide and super relatable. We learned new things, I tried delicious interesting food —and it’s an easy walk even in the heat! The insights on and history of the area just makes it all the more fun — the food history is as good as the food we ate! This was our second time to do this tour and I’d do it again! I can vouch that both tour guides were NOLA natives who knew the area and gave great recommendations for other places to visit, stop and shop, and other great off the beaten path restaurants to dine in all the while casually strolling through a lovely neighborhood! Go try it! Come hungry!
