It was a wonderful experience! The tour guide we had was very friendly and gave us some great backstory of the property and the river we were on

Itinerary
Set out on a 20,000-acre (8,095-hectare) tract of tidewater cypress swamp close to the Jean Lafitte National Historical Park and Preserve. Your flat-bottomed boat is leisurely guided through the shallow marshes. Discover bayous lined with mossy cypress and tupelo-gum trees as your captain points out a stunning variety of wildlife. Enjoy a fully narrated tour by a local guide. Prepare to see plenty of alligators in the warmer months (and warmer days in winter), some of which may be out sunning themselves on logs! Your guide may even feed the gators, affording you amazing photo opportunities. Also keep your eyes open for turtles, snakes, egrets, herons and ibis. You may even catch sight of a hawk, owl or bald eagle. In the cooler months, look for white-tailed deer, raccoons and the large rodents known as nutria.

What a fun and relaxing way to see the bayou - and we loved our guide who had all of the gator hot spots and could more or less whistle them over to the boat for snacks and amazing pictures. It was nice being on a quiet large pontoon where you could really take in the sounds of nature and it was also nice to be covered from the sun. I highly recommend this tour!
My husband had a great time on the swamp tour we took on 10/24/26. Our guide was pleasant and very informative about the history in the area, which was very interesting. I never thought that I would see cattle in the swamp but we did. We got a lot of great pictures. I would definitely recommend this tour to others and do it again myself.
Overall the experience was great. Water was calm and peaceful, and plenty of nature to look at. Also, the tour guide was very knowledgeable, funny & imformative. The employées and other guest was very nice and helpful. I would recommend anyone to go on the tour to get the wonderful experience.
Good experience. Long drive from NOLA. Enjoyed the historical and ecological information from our guide. He was great.
Excellent! Great guide, beautiful scenery, informative. Our guide was great, a lot of fun and made the experience informative.
This was a wonderful tour for our little boy to get to experience nature and see some gators in their natural habitat. The guide was funny and informative!
It’s a nice slow ride through the Bayou. Very quiet. They play some music you get some narration. It’s really enjoyable, especially when the weather is as nice as it was today.
Capt Adam was amazing. Informative, friendly and personable. The scenery was beautiful. The creatures were charming.
Jordan!! OMGosh. This is the tour guide to have. Especially if you like history and enlightenment. We learned so much about the bayou, gators, invasive species, hurricanes, etc. 10/10 would recommend. Also, book the transport option if you’re a tourist. It was easy getting there and less stressful than trying to get an uber out of the city.
We did not actually get to go on the tour. We are staying in New Orleans, which is approximately a 40 to 45-minute drive from the port where the tour departs. On October 2, the day of our scheduled tour, it was pouring down rain throughout much of the afternoon. Given the weather conditions, my family and I decided not to make the trip and instead hoped to reschedule for another day. After contacting the company, we were informed that we would not be eligible for either a reschedule or a refund. Our concern was not initially about receiving a refund. We simply wanted the opportunity to reschedule because of the severe weather. We were scheduled for a 4:00 p.m. departure, and it had been raining heavily in New Orleans until around that same time. My question to the company was: What would have happened if we had spent a significant amount of money on transportation to get from New Orleans to the port, only to arrive and have the tour canceled due to weather conditions? From our perspective, the situation could have been handled differently. We understand that businesses must have policies in place, but we felt that, under these circumstances, offering a one-time opportunity to reschedule would have been a reasonable accommodation. As a family, we were disappointed that no flexibility was provided despite the weather-related concerns that impacted our ability to attend.
Perfect experience for the novice to the thrill seekers. Great photo opportunities. Highly recommended to go in morning during summer months. It gets hot.
Absolutely great, our guide was informative and entertaining. Showed us some interesting sights including alligators, raccoons and we even saw a bald eagle. We were on covered pontoon boat, which was nice because we were out of the sun. Highly recommended!
Really cool bayou tour. We saw dozens of alligators in the wild and our tour guide was able to coax them up to the side of the boat so we could get great pictures and video. We took a similar tour in Florida, but we did not see nearly as many alligators as on this tour. I liked that we were on a slow moving quiet boat rather than one of the very loud fan boats. I think this helped us see more wildlife, as they weren't scared away by the noise. We had a wonderful time, and our tour guide was very knowledgeable about the bayou and all of the animals that we saw. Great trip!
This experience was very interesting and exciting and also educational. It was also relaxing as well. Our tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable.
Gorgeous scenery! Really enjoyed the bayou tour - we saw plenty of alligators, herons, a family of raccoons, and some other birds. The boat was comfortable and our guide was great.
The tour was amazing.we had a wonderful time. Our tour guy gave the alligators marshmallows. The boat was the right size for the tour.
Had a great time out there on the boat getting to see the alligators!!! Our tour guide man was very friendly and made the experience great!! However was weren’t out there long enough to get to enjoy the full experience because it was raining so our time was cut short.
We did the covered boat and were initially a little envious of the fast airboats but later appreciated our decision of choosing a slower covered boat because of the shade it provided and our guide was able to get so many gators right next to the boat. I don’t think we we’ve been able to see them as well haven chosen something else. We probably saw no less than 20 that came within 6 feet of the boat.
The boat ride itself, and seeing the scenery was worth the price. Really good tour guide. Can't really beat the price. A lot of gators...
Our tour guide Will was amazing, very knowledgeable and experienced with the animals and also shared great insights and stories
The boat Captain was awesome. We had upclose encounters with several alligators. Lots of great photo opportunities. My family group of really enjoyed ourselves and it was great price as well..
We loved it so much we went twice lol. And our tour guide was amazing and very knowledgeable. I believe his name was EJ but his boat was for sure number 24! If looking for a cool activity look no further
I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone looking for a fun adventure and a chance to experience the natural beauty of the bayou. We had a fantastic time and would absolutely do it again!
Awesome experience, guide was super fun and insightful! We got to see a couple big alligators and some smaller ones, lots of bird sightings as well!
Excellent tour, excellent guide, uber does pickup and drop off. We saw so many gators and other wildlife it made for an amazing day.
Our family had a great time on this airboat! The captain was great and recommend this ride to anyone visiting. Would def do it again
We had so much fun! E.J. was the best guide! We saw several alligators and raccoons. We learned a lot of history and took tons of pictures
Really nice swamp tour, saw quite a few alligators, and the guide was veey knowledgeable, a good trip to go on if you're in NOLA. The bus they have can pick you up from quite a few locations in the city as Jean Lafitte is quite far out
Our tour guides name was Adam and he was soo knowledgeable about history culture and wildlife i was so in awe of not only the pristine water and trees but the rich history and stories that originate from here. Thank you so much for a wonderful experience!!
We saw several alligators & beautiful trees with an egret. Also saw three raccoons playing around a tree trunk.
Capt. Larry was awesome! We had a great time out on the boat. We enjoyed the tidbits of information about the area as we went, and the gators were awesome. We’ll definitely be booking again on our next trip out to Louisiana!
He was very boring! I've been on a few swamp tours. They were pretty good and the tour guide was very knowledgeable. I would not recommend this particular one for anyone to go on.
It Was exciting and a fresh activity that man, my family and have experienced together. That was cool.
Excellent tour guide and experience. The ride was calming and relaxing. The family enjoyed this tour and would recommend it to others
Very relaxing and enjoyable would do it again! Very active gators and the boat ride was wonderful! TY
It’s was very much worth the month and great for kids, a little hot bring a fan and do get a drink or two before you go.
My adult daughters and I had a blast on this tour! We were on #24 and would love to come back out again.
A great time!! Did the boat instead of airboat and was very peaceful, saw lots of wildlife and thoroughly enjoyed the guide. Highly recommend this company and tours!!!
More for sight seeing we should have done the airboats. I fell asleep and we only saw 3 gators 🤷🏽♀️😩! Viewed more trees and had to listen to the tour guide talk about someone’s house in Dallas 😒😒 and tell us to be quiet so he could hear himself speak basically! 1/10 would not recommend! If ur looking at this keep scrolling spend that $40 on something fun
Was wonderful, loved the guide, Captain Larry ! Very well informed, he took his time showed us a lot of alligators.
We definitely recommend the covered boat. Bring water and be prepared to enjoy the bayou. The experience was very interesting and the tour guide was very informative.
I had no idea alligators ate marshmallows! Our guide was knowledgeable and entertaining. Highly recommend.
It is like the Gator tour but without the loud airboat and this boat had shade. Our guide was really great!
We enjoyed the trip but not what we expected. It lacked info on the bayou flora, animals, and living in swamps. Just a tourist trip to see alligators. Commentator spoke soft and could not hear.
We only got 10 minutes on the boat due to lightening. BUT, the Captain and the young lady at the desk were wonderful. The Captain explained everything and the young lady issued me a refund without me asking
Our tour guide, Adam, I believe, was very good. The boat is a pontoon style and was covered. We saw several gators that swam right up to the boat. We went in May which is supposed to be a good time to see them. Check-in was easy in the air-conditioned gift shop with bathrooms. There was also a bathroom at the deck where we waited for our boat number to be called. The only problem we had was with the directions they sent. You are told to turn in on Fleming Park Rd but that is a one-way street going out. Directions should say turn at Texas St. We had 3 people with us between 22 and 31 and they loved it. Great for all ages.
Overall it was an okay experience. We got to see alligators; that was great. But the boat driver played music during the ride (I felt that was weird). Also, I couldn't understand when he would tell us about things. The sounds was low. They fed marshmallows to the alligators, which isn't healthy I believe. The whole process took a long time. We departed from the hotel at 8:30, reached the location at 9:15 and the tour started at 10am. Could have squeezed the timeline.
We had the best time ever, our guide was fun and informative. We got to see lots of things around the swamp and thoroughly enjoyed entire outing. Would absolutely recommend this to anyone who’s thinking about it, stop thinking and just do it!!
Amazing experience! The tour guide explained the history of everything so well! The bayou was so beautiful! We had an incredible time!
