It was probably the most lame tour I’ve ever taken. In an hour we walked about three blocks and the guide kept showing us pictures in his phone. Not a word about architecture! He had us standing at the river as he shouted history dates as trains passed. It was really awful.

This was a great tour. Our tour guide, Henry, was full of great information, history, funny facts, and more. It was a great way to spend a few hours in New Orleans.
Great tour guide, good walking through history and culture. A very unique city of USA with a very unique history.
Our guide was Henry who was phenomenal and very knowledgeable about the area. Kept us engaged with the stories of the history of the French quarter.
We had Omar as our guide. He was very knowledgeable about the area and had great information about local history.
Hopefully the next group will have a better guide. Our guide spoke too quietly, did not keep us engaged and we left early due to the experience.
Well narrated tour of the French quarter. 2 hours well spent. Our guide was super funny and knowledgeable, shared and showed some of the music origins from New Orleans.
We purchased this tour scheduled for 1:00, and arrived at 1:02 due to a wrong turn in getting there (and called to tell the operator we were going to be slightly late). We also received a text at 12:35 informing us that we needed to be there at 12:45 (this was the first time we had been given this information!) When we arrived at 1:02, we were told the tour had left 10 min prior (which was 8 min before it was advertised to begin). The employee refused to tell us which direction the tour had started in so that we could potentially catch up with them, and refused a refund.
This was included in our resort destination fee at the Westin - some times we skip this kind of stuff but I am so glad we didn't on this one. He kept the tour moving and was very interesting - only 5 us in group kept it managable enough to ask questions and keep moving along in spite of MG crowds! Would definitely do another tour with this outfit - everyone was super nice at thier store front too.
Captain Jacob was amazing excellent!!!! A raise or bonus is warranted! So much fun would do 100 more times! Guessing kana sma skin s awkward snwms sks skins nw
Take this tour to learn more about the French Quarter from an enthusiastic guide. On our tour there was only one other couple so it was almost a private tour.
Walking historic tour of the French Quarter was great! Our guide Robin was super knowledgeable and passionate about the tour and history of her city! Well worth the cost and a good way to learn some history of the city!
Dry, boring, hard to hear. These tours are so dependent on the guide you get. Ours was not enthusiastic or engaging and did not tell very memorable or interesting stories. She covered the history of New Orleans in general for about half of the tour while we stood on the sidewalk, then we started walking around the French Quarter. She pointed out a few interesting things in the quarter but we were zoned out by then.
Robin our tour guide was spectacular. Her knowledge of the history of New Orleans and the French Quarters was impressive. Robin all our questions and went out of her way to make the French Quarters come alive.
Dane was our tour guide and he did an amazing job! Talk about knowing New Orleans and history. So cool to learn all the little tidbits and lore he told us. He gave us some restaurant recommendations and other suggestions for while we were visiting. An excellent tour and one I recommend.
Omar was a grate guide, the tour is nice and the history really interesting, the weather was not the best but is a beautiful place
Our walking French Quarter tour was an essential part of our trip. Omar was an excellent guide who delivered just the right amount of history with just the right amount of energy. He kept us all engaged, made us all feel comfortable to ask questions and maintained a perfect pace as we moved through each point of interest. My two boys left the tour with a deeper appreciation of the cities history and found it very interesting. Cajun Encounters is a great tour company and Omar was terrific.
I looked forward to my walking tour for Feb 7th and was sent a check-in notification prior to the meet-up. I was a bit taken back when I arrived at the store front, that 1) I was the only participant, 2) The tour guide was not there. Scrambling to reach him by phone, ( to no avail ) the representative called her supervisor. Trying to interest me in an alternative tour, which I declined, they said they would send a refund. Never an apology for disrupting precious travel time. I resented having to call today and ask "Where is the refund?" This company has some lessons to learn regarding customer service!
Instead of Black Friday Shopping, I decided to take my parents out to this walking tour. Robin gave us an amazing experience. She was very informative, and we learned a lot about the history of New Orleans. Moon Walk, French Market, Steam Boat, Omni Hotel, Church, etc. Nice weather, nice group of people, and awesome tour guide Robin! We didn't stay long in New Orleans for Part 2 - Garden Tour, but we will definitely come back for that.
Y’all!!!!! TC Elliot is the best!!! It’s like drunk history. The absolute best!!! Please experience this you wil find places you would never know to go in New Orleans absolute 5 stars
The cemeteries were closed which couldn’t be helped but it was still an informative fun tour. Steve was great!
Steven made it a fun and memorable experience. Suggested a great restaurant to eat at and other fun things to do when your ended.
My boyfriend and I did the French Quarter walking tour. Unfortunately we couldn’t go to the cemetery because it was closed. But Brent made up for it with all of his very interesting stories and wit (he was a wonderful guide and very knowledgeable). We loved it. I would strongly recommend it to anyone who wants to learn more about the Quarter.
I did the walking tour with Brent and it was spectacular! Incredibly thoughtful guide who knows how to captivate an audience... and mastered the class of story telling. And there’s a lot of them in New Orleans. Don’t overthink, just book it!
Tour was educational, thorough, and interesting. Our tour guide was Brent and he is what made the tour exceptional! Not only did he know his stuff, he was passionate about his city and courteous to the public. He didn’t need any silly gimmicks or stories to keep our attention. Great voice, sense of humor and tour guide. Brent and this tour made us fall even more in love with New Orleans.
This walking tour was great. We started off near Cafe Du Monde, and walked through the french quarter, and ended at St. Louis Cemetery 1. Our tour guide was Brent, and he was phenomenal. You could tell that he was truly passionate about his work, and deeply in love with the city of New Orleans. It's not a requirement for a tour guide to love the place you're touring, but it certainly helps and infects you with enthusiasm and a desire to learn more. He was deeply knowledgeable about all things New Orleans, including past history and current trends, and made the tour one of the best I've been on in my life. Highly recommended.
Amazing! Our guide, Brent was so knowledgeable and animated. We were fascinated by his stories. Highly recommend this tour!
Loved the walking tour of the quarters and St. Louis Cemetery #1..our guide Brent was very knowledgeable and had a wonderful sense of humor even when being scrutinized by a local at one point...he kept us laughing. money well spent.
I had 4 days to spend in New Orleans and I took this tour. It was a broader tour and I knew that could get more of an overview of what I really wanted to see when I was in NOLA as time was limited. Little did I know how much I would actually be able to experience! Butch was my tour guide on a bus of about 29 people. Born in and raised in NOLA, the knowledge and passion he shared about his hometown as he drove us around town was excellent. I was beyond impressed with this tour. As a native of Chicago, I have taken tours around my town just to learn some of my city's history and have had some pretty rotten trips. That was not the case here. Butch was informative, humorous, and sincere. We went through the tourist spots, the Garden and Warehouse Districts, and parts of NOLA that was hit by and still recovering from Katrina. He shared some of his memories of growing up and living in this city and what all it has to offer outside of the French Quarter. I was truly disappointed when the tour was over and would have love to just sat and talked with him over a Hurricane! He was a very good story teller and in my almost 2 hour tour, I learned more about NOLA than I thought I would in that time frame. I already have plans to visit NOLA again and will most definitely take another of their tours - maybe the Swamp Tour or a Plantation tour, or maybe just this one again hoping that I will find myself on Butch's bus! I highly recommend! Thanks to Butch for making this a great experience!!
Our City walking tour was well worth it, especially considering that history was ( shamefully) lowish on the list of things we wanted to experience in New Orleans below food and music, but I’m so glad we did it! Brent was a fabulous guide, very entertaining, enthusiast and knowledgable. He told the history with passion and it was a really fun and interesting tour! Highlights were definitely Jackson’s Square ( the story behind that place is amazing and it’s not on any website I’ve seen) and Marie Laveau’s tomb. Brent also gave great tips on where to dine out in the city and what dishes to try where.
Our tour guide Jason was fabulous. It was obvious that he loves his city, loves history and ready to share all of it with you! We really enjoyed the tour. It was much more then we expected. I would definitely recommend it especially if you are visiting New-Orleans the first time like we did.
A great place to orient yourself in the French Quarter. The guide provided both historical and personal knowledge of the French Quarter that made this tour extremely enjoyable.
We learned some really interesting history and stories about New Orleans during this tour. Brent was very knowledgable, entertaining and enthusiastic.
TC was a great tour guide. We really enjoyed learning so much of New Orleans' history. Highly recommend!
I was apprehensive about going on this tour, but I agreed to go with a colleague and was so glad I did!!! The history around Jackson Square & the French Market was informative and sometimes humorous! I wasn’t sure about doing the cemetery tour, but it was amazing, informative, and not “Spooky” at all. In fact, it was incredibly interesting!!! Our guide was Chris and he did an amazing job!!!
We had Todd Elliot as our tour guide. He was beyond amazing. He told stories and shared information about the city in such a fun way. Informative and fun! We had a super small tour group and that was so much better because we had a large tour group later that day and it wasn’t very good. Todd gave us such a great experience that I highly recommend his tour to anyone that comes to the city! I would recommend this tour over the ghost tour any day.
Our guide Darien was very informative but our tour left a bit late which cut our cemetery tour short as they were closing and this was the part of the tour I had looked forward to most. If your interest is in spending some time at the cemetery I'd find another way to do it. We went through the garden district on the way to the cemetery and the houses were amazing.
Todd was great. He reminded my husband and I of Robin Leech. If you are history buff and love a good story this is a great tour.
Stephen Medina was an awesome guide. He knew the history very well and injected a lot of humor into his talks. I thoroughly enjoyed the tour and would recommend it to anyone and everyone.
Maybe my expectations were too high, but I thought there would be more to this tour. You end up hearing about six stories over the course of two hours, and though some of the information was well thought out, I could hear other tours that I thought was providing more information. It wasn’t horrible, but I think I would try another company in the future.
Our guide TC Elliot was awesome. He had great info, and had a loud, clear voice. We learned so much about Nola and it’s history and the cemetery was really interesting. TC obviously is very passionate about his job. Highly recommend. Thank you!!
Since there are SO many tour options in NOLA, I was nervous I would book with a scam. So, this was booked this through my hotel concierge and I loved every minute of the tour! I've been to NOLA once before, but this tour taught me new facts and interesting things about the city. But, it was not information overload - perfect amount of facts! The tour guide did a great job of keeping the group together and making sure all could hear him. He was very knowledgeable about the city, had answers to all our questions and had a great sense of humor. (shout-out to TC Elliot - highly recommend this tour guide!!)
Our kids loved the tour and we all learned so much! TC Elliott was so funny and knowledgeable about the local history and customs. Highly recommend this tour! Make sure you ask for TC to be your guide!
Our tour guide TC was awesome!! Great walking tour!! Also, Shannon at the visitor center gave us great info!! Would recommend this tour! Would also rebook other tours with this group!
Our tour was led by T.C.Elliott, who everyone on the tour agreed was one of the best guides we had ever experienced. T.C. spoke clearly and loudly enough to be understood as he led the well-paced and extremely informative tour. And he was very funny. This tour is a great way to learn everything you need about New Orleans in a fun two hours.
Great tour with Rene...excellent tour of the city. Very historic. It was approximately 3 hours throughout different parts of New Orleans. If you like history and sight seeing, this is something you should try!
Had a free day. Never been to New Orleans before. This tour was perfect for a snapshot of the city. Made better by Derek our driver/guide. He gave us good insight into the city, history and obviously Katrina and it’s aftermath. Small bus so did not feel too many people. Took about 3 and half hours. Recommended and good tour company from this experience.
We had Bruce as our guide. He was very knowledgeable and personable. The tour provided a nice overview of the French Quarter and one of the city's oldest cemeteries. It was a bit hairy keeping up with Bruce in the midst of the traffic near Jackson Square, but it was a great tour overall. One bit of information people should be aware of - the tour ends at the cemetery instead of looping back to the beginning, so the total walking distance will actually be more than what the tour time is.
A marvellous way to spend a morning in Nola - Lord TC Elliott did himself and his city proud with a playful, informative and engaging tour.

This was a wonderful tour! Our guide, Donny, was knowledgeable and very, very nice. It was my favorite part of our visit to New Orleans. Thank you!
