Very informative and delicious tour. Robert was a delight!
This was a stellar experience. The food was delicious and our tour guide, Charles, was so knowledge about the history of New Orleans. We recommend to anyone coming to New Orleans and wanting to try all of the different food.
Charles our tour guide was amazing. He was very detailed with information about New Orleans and funny. This is my first time in New Orleans and Charles made it a blast for me
Great knowledge of the history and food. Highly recommend this one.
The tour was fantastic Our guide Richard was very informative and knowledgeable
Excellent value, especially for someone who has not previously visited New Orleans. We were able to sample 3 cajun dishes and also a dessert item. We, my husband and I, were on a walking food tour. Our guide was fantastic!! He displayed terrific knowledge of the city, its history from its inception, and seemed to know the streets, attractions, and places of interest like a true local. He was also able to provide guests with restaurant recommendations and entertainment suggestions. We sampled 3 entrees and a dessert item. I would give this tour and the guide, whose name escapes me, the highest possible recommendation! The tour company provided by Viator was Tastebud Tours.
Great tour!!! Our tour guide Kim was excellent. He provided great city history and food knowledge along with an entertaining afternoon. Highly recommend and ask for Kim!!!
An excellent tour, made even better by Charlie's knowledge and wit! This tour is a fantastic way to orient yourself in the city, get to see little food gems you might not get to see otherwise and taste some awesome local food. Also - we were absolutely stuffed before dessert. They mean it when they say come hungry...
We brought our grandson to New Orleans to celebrate his birthday. He’s interested in different kinds of food and cooking so we thought a food tour would be great to do with him. And it was!! Our guide, Charles, was wonderful! So knowledgable and interesting, The 5 different food stops were all enjoyable and we were given very good-sized portions. No dinner needed that day!! We’d recommend the tour!
Lesley was an amazing tour guide, so knowledgeable, funny and approachable! Best tourist ever!
Leslie was great! Had a nice time! Ate good food! Very informative

Roger was engaging and took us to many great representations of the local cuisine.
Roger was so knowledgeable and made the tour a fun and whimsical time!
This tour was wonderful, beginning with the warm welcome e from our host and tour guide, Kim! The food at each location was excellent! Kim was so knowledgeable in all things New Orleans, not only did we have a amazing food, we learned so much about this great city! We highly recommend this tour and ask for Kim!!! P.S. Kim gave us a recommendation to try Surreys for breakfast and it was hands down one of the best breakfast meals I have ever had, put it on your list!
Kim was great. Good food and learned a lot
It was excellent mix of value and food with such fun history. Charles was the best tour guide!
Charles was a wonderful guide who really knew the Quarter and was full of good recommendations. The servers at each spot were warm and friendly and the food was great! Awesome experiences all around.
Robert was an amazing food guide! His energy was contagious, and his knowledge of New Orleans and the food was impressive. We loved hearing the stories behind the dishes and getting to experience the city through its food. Thanks for such a fun tour, Robert!
Robert did a phenomenal job making sure our food tour was the best it could be. He was knowledgeable and great spirited. The food was great and a highlight but our tour guide really brought it all together.
robert was great!!!! Food was very good. Definitely recommend to others
Robert is an amazing guide/host. Great energy and an amazing storyteller.
Viator gave wrong address for meeting place tour guide called to ask if we were coming then told us we were at wrong place, we ended up being 15 minutes late.
Lyndel was great very knowledgeable and had great suggestions of places to hit later in our visit!
No seafood so everyone can enjoy! Great history mixed in with great food! Robert, our tour guide, was a lot of fun and the tour was so enjoyable.
I was super full after we ate everything and that was a good thing it amazing
We had a wonderful experience with Tastebud Tours, and Richard was a fantastic host and guide. We visited four places, and his amazing stories about po’ boys, gumbo, and beignets made the whole experience memorable. Learning the stories behind the food added so much to each stop. Richard brought those stories to life and gave us a deeper appreciation for what makes these dishes special. If you enjoy food and a great storyteller, I highly recommend this tour. Thank you, Richard, for such a fun and memorable experience!
Excellent stops & food. Kim was our tour guide & did an excellent job of informing us about the history of the restaurants we visited.
Robert was great. Good time! Educational, restaurant staff was good. Would recommend.
Kim was an excellent tour guide. Every place we went to was excellent!
Wonderful tour! Kim was a great guide and very informative about all things New Orleans. My wife and I both had a fabulous time.
Great food , educational, great people
Enjoyed it, very good food, guide was friendly and informative
Kimberly was an incredible guide! She was knowledgeable and a great conversationalist. Food was great and the stories behind it were very cool.
Tastes of the French Quarter with Richard as our host was fun and informative. Richard took us not only on a tour of the culinary specialties of this city, but also had a deep knowledge of the history behind the dishes, and the venues! We enjoyed Po'Boys, Jamabalaya, Gumbo and Beignets with coffee. As advertised, it is essential to arrive hungry!! Our tour lasted just over 2 hours, and was a group of 12. Value for money and a great way to experience the French Quarter! Richard is happy to answer all questions and provide recommedations for after the tour, regarding any part of your stay in New Orleans. 👍🏻
You get to try the historic local foods like Po Boy's, jambalaya, gumbo and finally beignets. The history is quite interesting of the food as well. You get to restaurant after restaurant and they are just waiting for your group which was really nice. The only thing I didn't like is you don't end where you started and need to find your own way back which worked out fine with walking GPS!
Kim was a wonderful tour guide. Full of great stories. Highly recommend!!!
Really enjoy the tour! Lots of good food and Kim gave excellent background on the city of New Orleans.
Kim was very knowledgeable and entertaining! Highly recommend Kim & the tour.
Great tour. Learned a lot ! Charles, our guide educated a lot about the cuisine of New Orleans . Entertaining too!
We had such a great and amazing day wi how to guy Roger he was very informative it was just excellent I would highly recommend it 10 out of 10 I would love to come back the food was delicious really awesome 100%
Variety and flavors of foods was great. Walking wear comfortable shoes uneven street surfaces all over New Orleans French Quarter. Staff at all establishments and tour guide were personable and knowledgeable
Roger was our tour guide, and he was brilliant with sharing the history of New Orleans. As a former educator, he is extremely knowledgeable and did his homework. We enjoyed his personality, friendliness, and hospitality. The tour hits the highlights of famous New Orleans cuisine and the food was delectable.
The meeting location instructions and the voucher had two different addresses. We of course picked the wrong address to show up to; it was basically a flip of the coin. So that was a little stressful. The tour was a nice experience and the guide, knowledgeable, but it really felt more like we were on a city tour with random city facts and not necessarily a food tour. Food seemed to be the afterthought. We were hurried in a few restaurants and not enough description or information was provided about what we were eating or how it came about in the New Orleans culture. For example, I learned jambalaya can either have meat or seafood, but that they won’t be mixed. (And the guide didn’t know why.) That’s sort of interesting, but I would have liked to have learned why jambalaya was created, and why it’s so similar to red beans and rice, which we also sampled. Maybe these were peasant foods and a way to create a stew to feed many people with the limited ingredients they had available? Or maybe they are exotic dishes from royalty? Don’t know. From previous food tours we’ve been on in other places, we expected a different kind of experience.
Had an awesome time and really enjoyed the food. Kim was a fantastic guide!
This was the perfect way to experience New Orleans food. Our guide Charles was incredibly informative. I did not think I was going to learn as much as I did on the tour. Charles was a little wacky and that exactly how I like my tour guides lol. Perfect mix of good New Orleans food, cocktails, history, and dad jokes! Just please don’t bring picky eaters, they are boring lol!
Charismatic tour guide. Informative. Friendly staff at restaurants visited during the tour. Great exercise opportunity.
Charles gave us a fantastic tour, great stops and great food
